Best fries I’ve ever had, vegan &vegetarian options & very nice staff I come here often because you simply can’t get fries better than this. If I’m here with a friend (all of which also said these are the best fries ever) we order one of their vegan poutines which taste awesome. The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting, and it definitely has a vibe. Very clean, not too noisy even when full, simply awesome.

Completely unfriendly staff at the checkout. A few weeks ago I was there and, among other things, picked up a menu. When I was packing up I noticed that the fries were missing and then asked again if it was also on the menu. Then they said very cheekily and impolitely “no, you didn’t order it as a menu” so that the whole store could hear it. Even though I ordered it and said it clearly enough. It's rude that they can't see their own mistakes and instead claim that the customer must have forgotten it. Disaster!

At 7:55 p.m. ALL employees met us as we entered the store and met around the corner to smoke together. After 20 minutes they came back in and informed us that the store would close at 8 p.m. Opening times on the website say closing time is at 9 p.m., according to Google at 8:30 p.m. Even though the store closes at 8 p.m., couldn't they have said that as we walked in the door? And why is the store completely unattended and ALL the people who work there are outside?

Miserable! The cheese is sprinkled on with your bare fingers. The lettuce wilted and was soggy with the sauce after just 2 minutes. The fries and falafel taste worse than from the frozen food chest. And in the food was (at first I thought it was a hair) a PLASTIC THREAD (!!!). The “poutine” went in the trash. If I wasn't passing through, I would have gone back to ask for my €10 back. An absolute disgrace.

Conclusion: Rude employees who work with a bare midriff or in tank tops where either their armpit hair or stomach hair is visible. Work is carried out in private, dirty clothing without gloves, without a hair net and with loose hair. The entire store makes a rather unclean impression. The burgers themselves are very tasty, but the overall circumstances don't really whet your appetite.

Had dinner there with friends. Had the fried chicken burger. The burger tasted delicious, the fries were also okay, but I found it a bit expensive for the menu price and for what you ultimately got. I paid a total of a little less than 20 euros. Ambience is also nice. Staff wasn't that friendly.

We went there because of the positive reviews. First we had to wait to be able to place our order, even though there were 4 people behind the counter and the shop was empty except for one table. We had 2 burgers that were ok, but nothing that we would have to go back for.

I ate there because of the mostly positive reviews, but I wasn't satisfied. The restaurant is very small and the atmosphere is not that inviting. The service...well. When I ordered I wasn't even greeted with a "hello", he was very quiet, I could hardly understand him and he looked rather annoyed. Didn't feel very welcome there. What bothered me the most was the food. Taste OK but not outstanding. I had the fries with turkey. It's probably not that smart to put the fries under the meat, as it made it completely soggy and mushy, so not a bit crispy. That took away the joy of eating because no one likes soggy fries. When we left there was no goodbye or have a nice day, as is usual. Overall it was OK but I wouldn't go there again as I didn't feel very welcome there and the muddy fries weren't good either. Too bad

The staff was super nice and everything went quickly, even though the store was busy. Seating available, although limited. Good selection of food available. Processed ingredients are fresh. Great taste. Price-performance is right.

I ordered a pulled pork bowl, but I didn't find any pulled pork in the bowl, but it was still delicious!

I ordered a burger and fries. Burger juicy, ingredients fresh and delicious. The fries were just right, the additional ingredients freshly sliced ​​and not from a can. So to be honest, waiting over 1.30 hours for fries is really sad, even if there is a lot to do. Among other things, there's no point in calling because no one ever answers, so it saves you time.

Do you know that? The first bite when you're really hungry and it tastes just fantastic. But this bite is only there at the beginning. That's not lost on these delicious citizens. Even the last bite is a real culinary delight.

The best 🍔 I've ever had, I can recommend the pastrami burger with fries and garlic mayo. Thanks to the team for making amends about the forgotten burger ❤️

Smashed burgers rock solid. Buttered bun gets extra points. Underside really nice and sloppy. Unfortunately a bit sticky at the top, but still solid. Teriyaki fries also rock solid.

I'm really angry and disappointed right now. It was my first time there and the staff explained to me in detail about the products and the difference between poutines and bowls. So I ordered a bowl with mostly salad instead of fries and the whole thing to take away. When I got home I looked in and in front of me was a poutine, if you call it that, definitely not a salad at all, exactly the opposite of what I wanted. I know that something like this can happen, but I think that for a store that only has German-speaking staff, something like this shouldn't happen with advice. I didn't like the food either. It could be because it wasn't fresh by the time we got home, but it was a mess. Definitely overpriced (€12.90) for a few fries with meat and sauce. Anyone can make it at home. Sorry!

It looked promising on the site... Asked for gluten-free options and the waiter looked to see if they saw water burning. Fries a bit gluten free they said... Fries were not dirty, but they had an insane amount of salt: abnormal! It was dirty inside. It's a shame, the staff is ruining such a "restaurant"!!!

Great location and the food is simply a dream. Had the Oklahoma Fried Onion Burger and the Fried Chicken Burger together with pulled pork fries - absolute recommendation!

I had the buffalo chicken fries and yes, it was just amazing, I've never eaten anything like that before Outstanding quality and you could taste it, maybe not the cheapest snack but given the taste and quality it's absolutely fine 👌 I can only recommend this shop to everyone!! Went there again yesterday It remains one of the best snacks in Kassel The chipotle mayo was great 😄

The better chip shop. Service is virtually non-existent because you have to do everything yourself. Order, pick up your order (also something you didn't order) and drinks. The homemade fries are delicious. The ideas for the dishes are good. The price is still ok.

My visit to Bert's Friterie was extremely disappointing. Despite waiting at least five minutes in front of the checkout, we were completely ignored by the employees. Neither a friendly hello nor an announcement that they would serve us immediately was given. Instead, they turned their attention to other orders without even looking at us. We understand if there is more work to do due to (online) orders and therefore there are waiting times, but communication about this would have been nice. Due to this disappointing experience, we decided to leave the store hungry and frustrated without placing an order. It's unfortunate that customer service was so poor.

Best currywurst with fries ever!!! Large, tasty portion. Extremely nice service. I'm happy to come if I get a craving.

One star is even too many. Very long waiting times, unmotivated employees. There are no knives. Never again!

Delicious fries in different variations, friendly staff

We entered this restaurant today and were initially pleased with the relatively wide vegan and vegetarian selection. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to order anything as we were consistently ignored. Of course, we saw that many (online) orders also had to be prepared, which we fully understand and are happy to wait longer. But there was neither a "Good day" nor anything like "It'll take a moment"; nothing at all. So we left the restaurant and ate somewhere else.

Our must have when we are in Kassel! We love it. You have to be lucky to get a spot. The best fries in northern Hesse. We had the Loaded Cheeseburger Fries & the Teriyaki Chicken Fries. Super delicious, both of them. But the teriyaki fries were absolutely awesome. For me every cent is worth the money!

I came to this place because I couldn't find the one I was originally looking for (5 guys) and because it had good reviews, but tastes definitely break genres. The place is nice and cozy and the girl who ran the place was very friendly, however I would not eat here again, firstly because there is no bathroom and secondly because the hamburgers are not that great, they have no flavor and for my taste , they are not worth what they cost. The potatoes are delicious, but I would have preferred to order them natural; I ordered the hot chili which are not hot at all (they are not spicy), they are more of a horrible Tex-Mex version, which tastes a lot like cumin, but hey, that is personal taste. I highly recommend going to 5 guys, which by the way was very close, but I couldn't get there.

Don't understand the glowing reviews. I was there shortly after opening and twice in 2023. Shortly after the opening it was okay, although the waiting times were too long. There was poutine with cheese curd, which was similar to the Canadian original, and the burgers were average. What bothered me from the start was that there were only bottled drinks and not even typical North American ones. The poutine I got in 2023 had lost a lot of quality. Bert's Poutine no longer had cheese curd, just normal industrial Gouda that tastes like nothing. The sauce didn't taste like it was homemade, but rather like it was bought cheaply. The fries were soggy and the few toppings were hardly worth mentioning. The Hot Chili Cheese was neither hot in the sense of hot nor hot in the sense of spicy. The cheese sauce was floury, like cheap bagged cheese sauce. The jalapeños had the spiciness of a cucumber - none at all. The burgers that I and my companions had were black, even though we specifically said we wanted them "straight through". Despite the additional toppings and the peppery price, they tasted bland. I would call the pulled pork in the pulled pork bowl typically German style. So the food was a bit of a disappointment, especially for people who actually know Canadian takeout food. The ambience is not very cozy, but the kitchen is cozy. Although there were only four customers in front of us, none of whom were placing a large order, the family that was carrying their food to the table when we walked in had finished eating and left the store by the time we were finally able to place our order. Waiting in line for 25 minutes to order, especially outside of peak times, is too long. Two stars, nothing more. If you get back to your opening form, I'll be back, but not like this anymore.

Apart from the fact that I can actually eat spicy food quite well, it was definitely not for the German palate - definitely way too spicy, just don't order it. I'm sorry, but €13.90 is not appropriate in my opinion. It's a shame, I've always really enjoyed coming to you.

Die Burger waren zudem Geschmacklos. - Die Pommes waren ungenießbar und sind im Müll gelandet - Desweiteren wurden die Saucen vergessen. - Nachdem ich nach dieser Enttäuschung dieses auch in einem Google Kommentar niedergeschrieben hatte sind zufällig er Weise in den Kommenden Tagen 2 Neue 5 Sterne Bewertungen aufgetaucht in welchen Benutzer übertrieben von den Knusprigen Pommes schwärmen. - Alles in allem ein sehr negative Erfahrung und wir werden dort definitiv kein Essen mehr kaufen!

Etwas teurer für meinen Geschmack, war aber ganz gut. Für ein spontanes Treffen gut geeignet.

Essen is mega lecker. Mitarbeiter sind immer freundlich und gut drauf. Selbst wenn es mal voller ist, muss man nie sonderlich lange warten.

Ich habe schon oft bei Berts gegessen. Es war immer Top. Aber heute wollten wir vor einen Konzert noch dort essen. Wir haben 30min auf einfache Knobi Pommes gewartet. Damit wir es noch zum Konzert schaffen, mussten wir es einpacken lassen. Die Pommes waren null gewürzt und wir mussten uns beeilen. Hat nicht geschmeckt. Bitte nächstes mal vorher bescheid sagen das es länger dauert.

Ordentliche Currywurst und Pommes. Beides schmeckte okay. Aber eventuell wäre die bessere Wahl die Burger gewesen was ich nicht beurteilen kann. Man kann gut innen sitzen und das Essen war schnell fertig.

Obwohl super viel los war, waren die Mitarbeiter super schnell und gut gelaunt. Das Essen war wie immer sehr lecker!

Das Essen war spitze, gute auswahl für gerechtfertigten Preis. Das Restaurant ist sehr Stil voll eingerichtet, und die Ambient gut, dazu liegt es direkt am Könnigsplatz. Service nett und witzig. Eindeutige Empfehlung!

Über Uber Eats bestellt und es war unfassbar lecker. Es gibt in Kassel kaum Smashed Burger und dieser ist mit Fries geliefert angekommen. Saftig, frisch, leckeres Fleisch, frische Pommes und geniale Knoblauch Mayo. Einer der beste Lieferessen, die ich jemals bekommen habe!

Sehr gutes Essen, aber einen Stern Abzug fürs Einweggeschirr und den Verstoß gegen die Mehrwegangebotspflicht. Ein Stern Abzug für's Deppenapostroph.

Das Essen ist wirklich hervorragend gut .Seit dem ich dort Currywurst gegessen habe kann ich keine normale Festival Currywurst essen weil keine an diese Ran kommt. Seit ich dort zum ersten Mal gegessen bin ich mindestens ein Mal im Monat da. Die Leute vor Ort sind nett und auch wenn's mal voll ist der Laden hat eine entspannte Atmosphäre mit einer Stil vollen Einrichtung mit passender Musik.

Berts' Friterie gehört bei unsereren Besuchen in Kassel zum Pflichtprogramm. Ausgezeichnete Poutine, die Smashburger sind vom Feinsten. Das Buffalo-Chicken rockt. Außerdem sehr nette Mitarbeiter in einer modern, gemütlichen Atmosphäre. Immer wieder gerne!

Bei Berts Friterie gibt es eine fantastische Auswahl an Loaded Fries, hier gibts es wirklich für jeden Geschmack etwas. Die Fritten werden frisch gemacht und reichhaltig belegt. Zudem sehr faire Preise für die hohe Qualität der Speisen. Bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Kassel ist ein erneuter Besuch bei Berts bereis fest eingeplant!

Mega Leckeres und frisches Essen. Neben den individuellen Poutines ( Pommes mit Topping), haben mich auch die Burger überzeugt. Für das Geld einfach nur 1A.
