Fantastic taste experience in a modern ambience with a view of the baroque Montabaur Castle. Remotely located in the northern commercial area with plenty of parking spaces in front of the entrance. Starter: Chanterelle foam soup. Main course: Beef cheeks Dessert: Plums with caramel ice cream with raspberries with foam and mint (from the menu) Our service person Matthias is an asset to the restaurant and always had the right recommendations for us.

Cool location, but food clearly needs improvement. A gigantic location for a beautiful evening! Stylishly furnished, first class service – very friendly and professional. The courses beautifully arranged and decorated on the plates. The eye awakens the expectation of a taste experience. Unfortunately we were disappointed here. For the eagle fish, a fillet from the tail end was served for €30.90, which should not have ended up on the plate given the price: very little fish meat, but a lot of fat and inedible skin. The risotto also has a lot of room for improvement: unfortunately it was watery and had hardly any taste. The asparagus and spinach were cooked to perfection. Because of the cool location we would try it a second time. Maybe we were just unlucky yesterday.

We visited Bernhards as a couple. The reservation was easily made online at short notice. We decided on the 4 course menu. A menu was changed to a vegetarian version without any problems. When it came to drinks, we relied on the service staff's recommendations and were not disappointed. During the meal we were also proactively brought a sip of wine which we were supposed to test during the course in order to test the interaction of the flavors and food. Bernhards is a great, classy but also down-to-earth restaurant. We had a great evening in a cozy, tasteful and warm atmosphere.

A very exclusive, slightly more expensive restaurant. But it's worth it. Great cuisine, nice service, great outdoor terrace. Good parking options. Not price-wise for every day, but we'll definitely be back.

We recently had the pleasure of dining here and were thoroughly impressed. The food was not only extremely tasty, but also lovingly and creatively prepared. The selection of dishes was manageable, but this did not affect the quality. The interplay of different flavors, the excellent balance of sweet and sour as well as the varied consistencies and colors made every dish a highlight. The wine selection and the accompanying wine pairing were also excellent and rounded off the culinary experience perfectly. The service was attentive and very well trained, which further enhanced the entire experience. The specialist staff was always on hand and knew how to impress at all times. The only suggestion for improvement would be to optimize the menu and its arrangement. Overall, a fantastic restaurant that I can recommend without reservation.

Addendum March 2024: Wiener Schnitzel now EUR 30 (plus EUR 5 compared to November 2022), price/performance is still right, schnitzel is now also slightly souffled, service remains competent and even friendlier than in previous years. + Perfect location (commercial area, 2 minutes from A3) for lunch meetings on the A3 in the middle between Cologne and FFM, and there is plenty of parking. + Very, very friendly and competent service. + Good quality of the food: The Wiener Schnitzel was as thin as such a schnitzel should be, the breading was "tasty/crunchy" and not "doughy", the meat was not even remotely tough but overall well prepared and of very good meat quality, that day -Foam soup spicy and not boring, and the cheeks served in a small cocotte as they should be. + Price-performance ratio: The lunch prices are appropriate, under EUR 25 for a well-made Viennese schnitzel with more than enough baked potatoes, salad and compote as well as the included soup of the day is a bargain from a Frankfurt perspective (as of November 2022). Drinks: No rating, as only mineral water and quite good coffee/espresso for lunch. + Ambience: Stylish - I wouldn't have expected this in Montabaur, especially in the commercial area. The owner obviously put a lot of effort into the furnishings/equipment, and the effort was worth it. Suggestion for improvement: The Wiener Schnitzel would be a bit better if it were served. This is not meant as a criticism, the schnitzel was just as good, but with souffled W-schnitzels the kitchen would have a real chance of being in the W-schnitzel Olympus at the Frankfurter Lohninger or Kölner Gruber's (unfortunately it is spelled that way with an apostrophe , but is still excellent) to move up... +++ Last but not least: No “new German” idiot apostrophe in the restaurant name Many thanks to the service and kitchen team for the lovely lunch experience.

Last week, I was invited by a friend and business colleague to Bernhads restaurant. It was a fantastic experience – the food, the ambiance, but above all, the service. The best surprise came at the end of the dinner; they offer you the chance to write and send a postcard anywhere in the world. A week later, I had received it in Barcelona. Spectacular!

Not only is the excellent cuisine, the service is also of a very high quality. We will never forget the evening with the “accompanying wines” - an absolute delight!

The food is always delicious and the ambience and service are great. Always happy to come there.

Good cuisine and (in the evening) funny, courteous staff. We weren't served so well at lunchtime, the prices are the same, but the staff is a bit grumpy and there's only a small menu. In the evening we organized a small party for five people. The fun cost around 600 euros, but it was worth the price.

Jo. Das ist der Place to eat in Montabaur, wenn ich nicht in ne Pizzaria gehen möchte, sondern meine Muddi/Omi/Tante mal richtig nett zum Essen ausführen will. Service ist freundlich zurückhaltend und aufmerksam. Ambiente ist gehoben, ohne zu drüber zu wirken. Das Essen ist wirklich lecker, Sonderwünsche gehen anstandslos. 16€ für ne Handvoll Feldsalat ist natürlich nicht basic, aber gut, man gönnt sich und der Muddi/Omi/Tante ja sonst nichts. Wer veggie oder vegan will, bekommt das auch, allerdings ist hier die Auswahl (Nudeln! oder Jemüse) nicht sonderlich opulent. Weinkarte und Drinks sind in reichlicher Form, Farbe und Größe zu haben. Ich mags.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, sehr freundlicher Service. Essen einfach fabelhaft. Es war für uns das erste Mal, dass wir so edel essen waren. Die Toiletten sind sehr sauber und luxuriös. Am Eingang wurden uns Jacke und Schal abgenommen. Dann wurden wir direkt zum Tisch gebracht und nach einem kurzen Blick in die Karte, wurde uns ein passender Wein zu unserem Menü empfohlen. Ich hatte ein 4-Gänge-Menü, meine Freundin ein 3-Gänge-Menü. Es wurde regelmäßig gefragt, ob wir zufrieden sind, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wir haben dort ca. 2-2,5 Stunden verbracht. Werden definitiv wiederkommen.

Sehr gutes Restaurant. Es hat uns geschmeckt. Sommelier Mathias hat uns hervorragend beraten. Super Ambiente. Ein Tipp: vorher reservieren.

Sehr schickes Restaurant .Wir hatten eine kleine Familienfeier und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen .

Vorab: In meinen Augen sollten gerade "günstigere" Fleischgerichte den Kunden überzeugen, bevor er sich 450g Rind kredenzt. Bei meinem wiener Schnitzel hat die Panade bei der Zubereitung leider nicht souffliert, was selbst ich als absoluter Beginner hinbekomme... Zudem war es für den Preis leider zu klein. Die beigereichen Kartoffeln haben meinen Geschmack ebenfalls nicht getroffen. Der Beilagensalat, der Espresso, sowie der Weißwein auf Empfehlung des wahnsinnig freundlichen und sympathischen Kellers waren jeweils einwandfrei. Das Ambiente ist nüchtern, lädt jedoch zum verweilen ein. Ich komme ggf. wieder. Potentiell wird ja etwas an der Zubereitung geändert... Als kleinen Tipp kann ich einen Workshop im Hotel Graf Ferdinand auf dem Wiener Ring empfehlen. Stichwort Meissl und Schadn "Schnitzel-Love". Adieu...

Wir waren beeindruckt von dem exzellenten Service, den wir während unseres Aufenthalts im Bernhard's erlebt haben. Der Sommelier Matthias war äußerst kompetent und bot eine beeindruckende Weinbegleitung an. Es war fantastisch, eine Vielzahl außergewöhnlicher Weine und sogar verschiedene Ausbauarten probieren zu können. Matthias' Empfehlungen passten perfekt zum Essen und bereicherten das kulinarische Erlebnis. Die Kombination von geschmackvollen Speisen mit passenden Weinen war einfach hervorragend. Das Essen im Bernhard's war sehr delikat. Die Gerichte wurden mit großer Sorgfalt und Kreativität zubereitet. Die Präsentation war wunderschön, und der Geschmack beeindruckte unsere Geschmacksknospen. Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt im Bernhard's wirklich ein Erlebnis. Der Service war erstklassig, die Weinbegleitung durch Sommelier Matthias war herausragend und das Essen war einfach köstlich. Ich kann das Bernhard's uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und vergebe fünf von fünf Punkten für diesen großartigen Abend.

Wir haben ein phantastisches Dreigangmenü gegessen. Der Service und das Ambiente waren ebenfalls super. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Essen war absolut hervorragend. Ein sehr zu empfehlendes Restaurant, in dem wir bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal waren.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal im Bernhard‘s zum Abendessen. Wurden sehr freundlich und gut gelaunt begrüßt, was heutzutage nicht unbedingt üblich ist. Die Location ist wunderschön, gepflegt und hat eine Riesen große Fensterfront mit grandioser Aussicht. Überall Kerzen, leicht gedimmte Lichter, weiße Orchideen und super schön angerichtete Tische, einfach eine behagliche Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Das Essen ist einfach GRANDIOS! Frisch, Qualitativ hochwertig, wunderschön auf dem Teller präsentiert, da steckt LIEBE und Leidenschaft drin. Ein Großes Kompliment an die Küchencrew, das Essen war zum dahinschmelzen, die Bilder sprechen für sich. Vor allem das Dessert das Hausgemachtem Eis!!!! Ein geschmackliches Feuerwerk und eine absolute Gaumenfreude. Der Kellner Mohammad-Ali hat uns hervorragend bewirtet, wir haben mit ihm viel gelacht. Etwas sehr wichtiges. Die Toilette ist super sauber. Kompliment! Dieses Restaurant werde ich in meinem Bekanntenkreis empfehlen und wir kommen definitiv wieder. Dankeschön für diesen wunderschönen Abend und dafür das ihr uns Glücklich gemacht habt. Chapeau!!!!

Super Lokal, tolles Ambiente, qualitativ hochwertige Produkte die vorzüglich und professionell zubereitet werden. Gesamtes Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend, unser Spezi (Mohamed Ali) war der, der den Abend mit seinem charmanten Auftreten und seinem Humor perfekt gemacht hat! Danke an alle und alles. 👌

Aus meiner Sicht ein tolles Ambiente, super Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen. Sehr zu empfehlen, wobei es auch nicht sehr preiswert ist. Aber Qualität hat nun mal seinen Preis, den gerne gezahlt habe.

Tolle Location, toller Service. Auf Wunsch wurde auf der Terrasse für uns extra eindeckt. Der Lunch war erstklassig. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hervorragender, zuvorkommender Service. Die Speisen perfekt zubereitet. Tolles Ambiente. Qualität hat allerdings auch ihren Preis bzw. man muss ein australisches oder US-Beef auch zu schätzen wissen.

Mit allen Vorzügen der gehobenen Gastronomie haben wir einen wunderbaren Abend verbracht. Man kann sagen, dort passt alles; Ambiente, Atmosphäre, Service und Essen dazu ausgewählte Weine. Dieses Restaurant steht vergleichbaren Restaurants, wie man sie z.B. in Köln oder Frankfurt kennt, in nichts nach.

Wie immer war das Essen sehr schmackhaft, was uns diesmal wirklich gestört hat, dass die Bedienung uns lediglich zum Platz gebracht hat und dann lieber einen Tisch mit drei Damen bespaßt (Geflirte) hat und jeglicher Service gefehlt hat. Dies waren wir bisher nicht gewohnt und hat uns tatsächlich enttäuscht.
