....a restaurant with a magnificent view...we were in the restaurant for a birthday dinner, Thomas and Hedwig gave us a friendly welcome...we sat outside, it was a successful Saturday lunchtime..The champagne reception began with Franconian Oppmann champagne, the portions are for the very hungry, the side salad is huge, if someone complains... it's incomprehensible to us... The gypsy schnitzel has always been around... even before the big wave of migration... don't let the negative reviews bias you... try it out... at the prices... with 21 people, we wouldn't have gotten that at home... Thank you again and greetings to the whole team...

If you don't have a reservation, the staff will rudely and rudely ask you to leave. I've never experienced anything like that, even though I just politely asked if you could have a drink here. There was nothing about making a reservation anywhere, and there was nothing about it on the internet either.

We spontaneously wanted to eat something up there...we didn't get anything because we hadn't pre-ordered, we didn't know, it doesn't say anywhere. You might have to enter that...if you don't pre-order you won't get anything

Impossible way. After a telephone reservation for a 90th birthday the following Wednesday, all the details were discussed. Two days later, when asked, suddenly there was no room reserved and only an offer to use the "assigned seats" in the restaurant. The name isn't there, someone else was faster?! Very questionable and extremely unfriendly. Two phone calls ended by hanging up. Not again!

The second attempt was open, it would be great if the operators could provide the opening times. Otherwise, the mountain hospice is always worth a trip. Prices are very reasonable and the food is tasty. It's typical snack food. You have to know that.

Good food, nice place, but If you call about reservations etc. the are not too helpful or flexible.

That's plenty. Sometimes you just can't manage it. You can recommend this to everyone.

A mother's 90th birthday with children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family from near and far should be a special and stress-free event! I fulfilled my mother's wish and reserved places for almost 30 people at Zeiler Käppele in the mountain hospice early on. In the preliminary discussion we were assured that we would have the adjoining room, that half portions (senior citizens' plates) were possible, as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes, and that children's chairs (for the great-grandchildren) were also available. The fact was that we did NOT get the adjoining room, that there were a total of three birthday parties (!) on site, which caused an incredible volume and nervous back and forth from guests and service staff. Senior citizens' plates were denied when ordering and an extra EUR 2 was charged for take-away boxes for the leftover food on the overflowing plates. The vegan was not provided with appropriate care and the children's chairs were at the other two anniversary parties. Half of the family could usually be found outside in the open air (because that's where you could actually have a conversation) while the rest of the group inside sang loudly. Conclusion: Good food, very large portions (take Tupperware containers with you), mass processing - every euro counts, unfriendly, uncomfortable, unappreciative, payment ONLY with cash! Tip: ask explicitly beforehand how many companies will be present at the appointment!

Unfortunately not open, although several guests were waiting. A pity

Were here for Sunday lunch. Schäuferla and schnitzel were excellent and everything was homemade. We recommend.

Overall a nice place. But you can't actually support anyone who still has "Gypsy Schnitzel" on the menu in 2024. It's a shame that this unnecessary racism continues to exist.

Franconian cuisine, delicious cakes and a selection of cakes in the afternoon

Nice restaurant with lots of guests...

Inge is an excellent cook who enjoys cooking...she also bakes the delicious dry cakes herself, her daughter creates cakes...a culinary delight! Don't forget the large portions... Only open on Saturday and Sunday in winter.

Gutes Lokal, leckeres Essen in der Nähe der Wallfahrts - Kirche "Zeiler Käppele"

Für ruhesuchende ein sehr geeignetes Ausflugsziel. Das "Käpperle" befindet sich in einem sehr gepflegten Zustand. Für christen und Kirchengänger ein klares "muss".

La comida estuvo buena, pero muy mal servicio. Los trabajadores son racistas y por ser color negro , mi pareja tuvo que ir a pedir la comida y la bebida dentro , no tuvieron la amabilidad de acercarse a la mesa a preguntar que queríamos, o que nos gustaba. Después de llevarnos la comida , vimos como atendían a todos los alemanes con agrado. Solo nos brindaron una sonrisa al momento de cobrar. Por eso no puedo opinar que sea un sitio el cual repetiría y que pueda dar una mejor opinión.

Sehr gutes Essen, freundlicher Service, große Portionen, günstige Preise. Was will man mehr. Wir sind dort öfters zu Gast und gehen immer wieder gerne dort hin.

Das ist ja nicht offen. Waren in der Kirche wollten dann zu 10 . Kaffee trinken und Bier 🍺 dann etwas essen leider geschlossen

Sehr schön gelegenes Restaurant, direkt neben der Kapelle und mit einem wunderbaren Ausblick ins Tal. Die Preise sind erfreulich günstig, alles wirkt sauber und gepflegt (sowohl der außenbereich als auch der Innenraum sowie die Toiletten). Für Feiern gibt es einen extra Raum. Geleitet wird das Restaurant von einem älteren Ehepaar und die Bedienung erfolgte prompt und das Essen kam schnell. Der Humor des Chefs ist speziell (wir sollten uns da hinsetzen wo er uns besser im Blick hat und wir können uns auch innen reinsetzen, wenn wir genug bezahlen)... Aber hinter dieser Fassade freundlich und herzlich. Salat gibt es zwar nur gegen Aufpreis. Das finde ich aber sogar gut, weil dadurch jeder wählen kann.

Hatten leider nur etwas getrunken. Jedoch absolut zu empfehlen, stets freundlich. Top Service

Das Essen war Super. Die Portionen sehr reichhaltig. Der Preis fair. Negativ war der Service eines Kellners. Sowas von unfreundlich habe ich noch nicht erlebt.

Wunderschöner Ort um mal zur Ruhe zu kommen und auch etwas zu Essen. Vielen herzlich Dank für die tolle Bewirtung und vor allem sehr freundlich.

Lädt für einen Augenblick zum verweilen ein... gerne wieder. Schöner Spielplatz für Kinder in unmittelbarer Nähe

Die Öffnungszeiten, die im Internet angegeben sind, sind leider unzuverlässig. An einem Samstagvormittag entschieden wir uns, kurz vor 12 Uhr das Restaurant zu besuchen. Allerdings öffnete es erst um 12:30 Uhr, obwohl es laut offiziellen Angaben bereits um 11 Uhr geöffnet haben sollte. Die Bedienung hat einen fragwürdigen Humor und brachte uns erst nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen die Speisekarte. Das Essen schmeckt gut und preislich absolut in Ordnung, für Vegetarier gibt es wenig Auswahl. Ich empfehle vor dem Restaurantbesuch vorsichtshalber mal anzurufen.

Gemütlicher Biergarten neben dem Zeiler Käppele. Der Kuchen war super lecker, sehr netter Service und keine lange Wartezeit. Preis Leistung war top, wir kommen gern wieder 😊

Hier kann man gut bürgerlich Essen. Waren an Weihnachten 🎄 zum Mittagessen dort. Ob Gänsebraten oder Hirschbraten ... sehr lecker 😋 Ambiente ist leider auf der Größe der Lokalität hin, nur schwer möglich. Service freundlich und schnell, trotz des überfüllten Lokal. Wir kommen wieder 👍

Wir waren am 15.08.22 hier im Garten essen u es war super, Pfifferlinge mit 2 Knödeln u reichlich Salat . Bedienung war nett u zuvorkommend, der Chef freundlich. Wir sind positiv überrascht.
