Berggasthof Markbuchen in Kollnburg

Wonderful restaurant, me and my family really enjoyed it. Great selection of dishes that you can't find in every restaurant. Everything is cooked with love and very tasty. I would like to come back to try the rest of the dishes. I would also like to mention the excellent service.

Cozy inn, super friendly boss who understands and loves her job. The food can only be recommended. Also in portions. Everyone gets fed up here. Were there for the first time and immediately started talking to the boss, who runs everything with her husband (kitchen) plus a kitchen assistant and a waitress. But unfortunately the days are numbered as it needs some work.

Warn him to Omdessn do. The host couple is extremely friendly and open-minded! Really nice people. Be there right away at five in the evening. Beautiful terrace with a view of the Landschoft on Viechtach and Weida. Really nice. The food was incredibly good. Portion is as you would expect in Bavaria, great!:) Aa Kinderkartn is great. Meat was superbly prepared, I had russet bread and Weiderlpfanderl with mushroom sauce. Beer fresh from the barrel. Dessert was good. It's a shame that the economy won't last much longer. Oh dear, if you're near there, go eat there. Let the evening end nicely after a hiking tour! In a very touristy place it's hard to find a really good Boar restaurant. We're welcome!

It's a little disturbing when, when you politely ask whether the hot kitchen is open at 3 p.m., you get the snappy answer: "Otherwise, would I have given you the menu?" Despite all the striving for originality, we should not forget whose money a service industry lives on. There is generally no room for senior teaching here.

We didn't live there, I can only rate the restaurant: Very friendly and prompt service. Sensational food. There were 4 of us, two teenagers, 2 adults, 4 different meals. I had the roast beef with fried onions, bacon beans and fries. Unfortunately, I was hungry and neglected to take photos The optics alone - crazy. The taste of the roast is fantastic, fried to perfection, taste is A1, the fries are good but almost unnecessary as the portion size is so huge that side dishes are almost impossible to manage. My family ate schnitzel (pan-fried), sirloin pan and cheese spaetzel. All dishes are super good and super plentiful (actually far too plentiful, I would recommend free helpings to all restaurants instead of oversized portions. Both for the environment and for animal welfare). Nevertheless, all the dishes were super delicious and tasty. The restaurant also offers a variety of very tasty schnapps, which we were able to enjoy because we were within walking distance, of course only the adults. Finally, it remains to be mentioned that we had a dog with us, no problem at all, and we tried out some board games with our kids from the pool available on site, sometimes very loudly, and no one took offense in any way Conclusion: 1 A rating, full marks

Wir haben zu viert sehr lecker gegessen. Vom „besten Schnitzel ever“ O-Ton unser Großer bis Zwiebelrostbraten auf den Punkt und Käsespätzle zum nieder knien bis hin zum leckeren Lendenpfännchen alles top. Außerdem sehr familiär und jede Menge Brettspiele zur Auswahl für einen spassigen Familienabend. Zudem sehr nette Wirtsleute und Mitarbeiter! Rundum ist es allemal einen Besuch wert. Great, rustic restaurant, a landlady the way you would like and imagine, friendly staff. Simply cozy, traditional Bavarian. Likewise the food. Simply highly recommended all around.

Delicious and fresh food, we would love to come back. We were looking for something to eat and came across this mountain inn. (Slightly remote - at least in summer) There is a large parking lot right next to the terrace. The view of the forest and the hill is also very beautiful and relaxes you from everyday life. We were able to sit directly on the terrace and the children were allowed to use the swing. Even more relaxation for us parents. The service here is really great. Everyone is friendly and helpful and a joke is a must. The food was super tasty and freshly homemade. We had cheese spaetzle, schnitzel, currywurst and a children's meal. Everything was delicious and the portion size was completely fine. The price is also really good for the service and quality. We'd love to come back.

Called and visited spontaneously, as few restaurants in Sankt Englmar are open on Wednesdays. Very friendly and always available for requests for changes. Many thanks to the team at Gasthof Markbuchen. Keep it up :-)

The inn is a bit out of the way, but within walking distance from Sankt Elmar. She is friendly and accommodating and, as is typical in Bavaria, the food is very tasty. The surroundings are fantastic anyway and a visit to the mountain inn is worth it. Conclusion: mountain inn without accommodation, as it is no longer worth renting, according to the landlady

We were on the way to St Engelmar this afternoon and happened to drive past there. Were totally thrilled. The staff was extremely welcoming and took their time. The food was very, very good. Absolute recommendation. Rooms cannot be assessed.

We can highly recommend the Berggasthof. The landlady and the waitress were super friendly and made the stay more than pleasant...the welcome was almost a highlight 👌🏼🤗. The food was really great, the price-performance ratio was definitely right here. You can also park directly in front of the inn. We'll definitely be back 👌🏼🙂

The inn is very well located. A bit remote and therefore quiet. You can also enjoy the peace and quiet with a cool drink on the sun terrace. The dishes are very tasty and sumptuous. The price-performance ratio is really good. We were there twice and would stop by again at any time.

I always enjoy going to the Berggasthof. Whether by motorbike, mountain bike or after a hike. Simply great and always in a good mood on site. The Kaiserschmarrn and the steaks are to die for...

Einen wunderschönes Lokal, so muss es im bayerischen Wald sein. Toller Service und sehr leckere Speisen. Die Portionen sind reichlich und sehr, sehr lecker. Leider gibt’s den Schweinsbraten nur am Wochenende und Feiertags. Aber es lohnt sich zu warten.

A really highly recommended inn. The perfect place to warm up after skiing or tobogganing and have a hot chocolate. Really very nice, courteous staff who even cater to dog requests. The yeast dumplings with vanilla sauce and the iron wheat beer dark for the connoisseurs among you are particularly noteworthy 😉. #have the honor

Excellent cuisine, everything fresh and homemade. Warm and courteous landlady with a great team, she allowed us to spontaneously take part in the New Year's Eve buffet with 5 people and served excellent food until late into the night. Auf Empfehlung unseres Vermieters waren wir heute hier zum Abendessen. Wir wurden supernett empfangen und ebenso bedient. Essen und Getränke noch relativ günstig - da haben wir schon ganz andere Karten in der letzten Zeit gelesen. Geschmeckt hat es super. Mein Mann hatte Zwiebelrostbraten - der zerging auf der Zunge. Ich das hauseigene Cordon Bleu - auch sehr gut und schön zart. Die Hochzeitssuppe fantastisch! Da gibt's nix zu meckern. Nur eine weitere Empfehlung 🤩 Schöne Weihnachten! ☃️🎄

Gemütlicher Berggasthof mit einmaliger Sonnenterrasse. Kaiserschmarrn zum Kaffe ein Gedicht bei fairem Preis. Auch die weiteren Gäste waren mit den Speisen anscheinend sehr zufrieden. Hat alles lecker ausgeschaut. Nettes Personal. Speise- und Getränkepreise nicht überhöht.

Das Personal war super freundlich. Zu den Zimmern kann ich leider nichts sagen. Aber hier kann man Super lecker essen.

Was soll ich sagen...so wohl gefühlt hab ich mich selten in einem Gasthof. Essen mega lecker und reichlich, Wirtsleut zuvorkommend und gastfreundlich, Service hervorragend. Sehr gerne wieder. Ich konnte leider nur 5Sterne geben ich hätte gerne mehr verteilt.👍👍👍👍👍

Am Fuß des Predigtstuhls liegt der Berggasthof. Parken - kein Problem im Sommer. Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem zünftigen Abendessen und genau das fanden wir hier. Nicht viel Schnickschnack, Platz in der Gaststube und eine freundliche und umsichtige Bedienung. Es war toll, das Fleischklopfen aus der Küche zu hören. Hier wird alles frisch gemacht und es war lecker. Reichlich dazu, der Preis ließ genug Spielraum für ein zweites Bier ;-). Dieser Gasthof hat den Namen verdient, wir kommen gerne wieder. Zu den Zimmern kann ich nichts sagen, wir waren zum Abendessen hier.

So wie man sich einen Gasthof vorstellt! Wir waren mit unseren Kindern dort im Gasthof essen und waren alle sehr zufrieden. Sehr leckeres Essen (Kaiserschmarn und Waidlpfanderl) mit großen Portionen zu einem angemessenen Preis, sehr freundliches Personal mit viel Witz und Charme und sehr Kinderfreundlich.

Wir waren in unserem Urlaub mehrfach in dem Gasthof. Dort wurden wir immer herzlich empfangen und sehr freundlich und liebevoll bedient. Selbst Extrawünsche waren kein Problem und wurden erfüllt. Das Essen war extrem lecker, vom Braten, über den Salat bis hin zum Kaiserschmarrn. ❤️ Der Kaiserschmarrn ist eine Wucht❗️Den muss man dort einfach probieren 😍 Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder❗️
