Five of us had dinner at Benitos yesterday. It was our first time there and we will definitely go there more often. Staff was friendly and on the ball. The food was really good and tasty. We had tapas as well as burgers and tacos. We are a half-Spanish family and are particularly picky about tapas. The drinks were also good. If I had anything to complain about it would be the arrangement of the tables. Because the restaurant is quite large, it quickly takes on the character of a canteen. Could be made more comfortable with a few room dividers.

The cocktail was very good, the food was also plentiful and recommended. Unfortunately, no card payment is offered here. For a store of this size, this is absolutely incomprehensible to me! This is the reason why unfortunately it cannot be given more than two stars. At least, to be fair, this is pointed out on the first page of the menu so that there are no stupid surprises.

Everything was fine, we got something to eat at a late hour and the service was nice.

There were 17 people because all the food arrived at the same time, plus a large portion at very good prices, and the cocktails were just as good. Very satisfied with the store.

The service was very friendly and was always at our table to ask if everything was ok. The Lord really did a very good job of that. The food was good, you can eat it but unfortunately our regular restaurant won't. The taste is even better. But all in all a really good restaurant.

Mega friendly, family restaurant and the food was very, very tasty and a small compliment to the little hard-working blonde kitchen helpers. I travel very often for work and have already tried many different restaurants, so I had to give my honest opinion about it on my next visit I will go there again with enthusiasm, it was 100% worth eating there if you are not from there I can only recommend it 👍🏼

We were here for the first time. We have rarely experienced such friendly service, @Paul, even though he apparently had an injured foot. Just great! His colleague was also very friendly and attentive. Thank you for this exceptional, friendly service. The food was delicious and it was always nice to sit at the “Alter Markt”. We will be back!

I was there for the first time yesterday. The location is super cool and the music playing there is really great. Prices are okay but there are also decent portions - everyone is guaranteed to be full here :) but above all I would like to praise the staff. The guys try hard, work quickly and are very accommodating. Absolute recommendation 👍🏻

Unfortunately just bad!!! Tried to reserve a table via WhatsApp in the middle of the week - no response. When you're stressed, it can happen that you don't react immediately, and again no reaction... Yesterday evening the restaurant was given another chance. Result: After 10 minutes of waiting outside - no contact from the staff - we moved to the inside area. After we were assigned a place inside the restaurant - again no order was taken after a waiting time of almost 20 minutes. When we decided to leave the restaurant, we noticed that the person in charge of the restaurant had made it clear to the staff that instead of visiting tables several times where everyone seemed to be taken care of, they would rather take care of the wishes of new guests. Unfortunately, it was already too late by then. We changed to a restaurant that was in the immediate vicinity and received a very friendly welcome, which we rewarded with corresponding sales. Too bad Benitos! If you scare guests away like that, then you have to expect a negative review.

I recently went to Benitos for the first time and the service was also very friendly. I got a cola that unfortunately didn't bubble at all but tasted stale. For the main course I ordered a vegetarian dish, when I bit into my food I lost my appetite as my food was full of pieces of meat. For these reasons, I didn't want to leave a tip when paying - my change was, of course, simply kept. I cannot recommend the restaurant for these reasons.

The only point of criticism is the increasing volume of the music, which unfortunately cannot be reduced when we asked because the control is automatically adjusted... But we would still like to eat there again, perhaps better outside, in the hope that there won't be too many smokers around us... 😉

Anyone who leaves negative reviews here should really think about it... Great food and drinks, friendly and prompt service, even though the restaurant was busy. The prices are not excessively high either. We always enjoy coming here when we are in Mönchengladbach. Looking forward to the next time. The only small point of criticism is that the background noise is enormous when there are a lot of guests...

Excellent restaurant for those who want good Mexican food in Deutschland, Mexican cuisine is being very well represented through this restaurant. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is pleasant and well decorated. I intend to return to this establishment, for sure!

There were 4 of us there. 2 adults 2 children. The service was actually good, the waiter was nice and always there if you wanted to order something new to drink, but we find it very cheeky that with a bill of almost 160 euros for 3 people (the 2nd child was actually free) there wasn't even one Ouzo was free at the end. The menu says there are surprise boxes for the little ones, but that wasn't there either. With such a high bill you at least give the children a lolly if an ouzo is too much! The food was actually okay, we all ate a burrito, there were quite a lot of vegetables in it but it was tasty. Since the burrito is quite large, we wanted to take the rest with us and unfortunately had to pack our own food because of Corona?!? They're pretty disappointed.

First time there. What I ordered wasn't to my taste. But it wasn't the food itself, there was a large selection. Huge portions! Fast, attentive and friendly service!!

Super leckeres Essen, absolut zu empfehlen! Wir waren mit 11 Personen da. Der Service war super nett, hilfsbereit und alles lief schnell und reibungslos. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt sehr gut. Wir besuchen das Restaurant gerne wieder.

Essen und Bedienung waren top. Der Laden könnte generell mexikanischer gestalten sein. Das Ambiente ist nicht sehr stimmig. Der Flur zu den Toiletten stinkt, ich weiß nicht wonach bzw warum. Ansonsten kann ich das Restaurant nur empfehlen.

Ich war heute seit längerem mal wieder dort und muss sagen, dass sich die Qualität wirklich verschlechtert hat. Wir kommen seit ca. 2021 unregelmäßig her. Die Wraps waren lauwarm, aber noch okay. Die Churros schmeckten wie doppelt frittiert und aufgewärmt und das war heut echt gar nichts. Nutella gibt es auch nicht mehr dazu, sondern etwas „hausgemachtes“, obwohl die Preise ordentlich angezogen wurden. Wir haben beide im Laufe des Abends Bauchweh bekommen und unabhängig davon war nur die Behinderten-Toilette zugänglich, es stank widerwärtig nach Kloake und war nicht besonders sauber. Die Kellner kann man positiv hervorheben und wären auch bestimmt z.B. bei den Churros kooperativ gewesen, aber wir hatten auch einfach keine Lust auf doofe Stimmung. Insgesamt ist die Atmosphäre in dem neuen Restaurant auch nicht so gemütlich… Wir werden leider nicht wiederkommen.

Kids till 10 years old eat for free. It has the real Mexican flavour. I prefer another type of tortilla but I guess they work with what they have. However the meal was great.

Das Essen war ganz okay. Gegen den Service kann man im großen und ganzen auch nichts sagen. Das Ambiente finde ich persönlich sehr ungemütlich da es für mich einfach ein vollgeräumter Raum war. Es gibt keine wirklichen Wege so das man jedes mal zum Klo schauen musste wie und wo man am besten lang geht, da der weg denn ich eben genommen habe jetzt durch andere Gäste verspeert ist. ( für Leute mit Handikap eine sehr schwere Situation) Es war auch sehr kalt im Laden, trotz eines Seiten Platzes eher hinten, saßen wir jedes mal wenn die Tür auf ging im vollen Durchzug, was die Situation noch ungemütlicher gemacht hat.

Sehr freundliches Personal und schnelle Bedienung! Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und sehr authentisch! Außerdem eine riesige Auswahl an Cocktails und Schnäpsen. Ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir sind sehr gerne hier, essen lecker 😋 alle sehr freundlich. Was ich persönlich super finde das sie Getränke & essen für Kinder unter 10 Jahren um sonst ist. Fetter plus Punkt. Deswegen kommen wir auch ohne Kind sehr gerne hier hin. Sowas fördern wir dann noch mehr 🥰
