Bella Vista - Malter in Dippoldiswalde

We've never been greeted so unfriendly in a restaurant!!! We had a reservation for a large group (family and relatives). Unfortunately, it started two hours early, the first of us got a stomach bug, the fifth of 23 people vomited right outside the restaurant and we drove him back. This left us with five fewer guests. The owner/host made such a mess of us all, he spent over an hour and a half setting the table for us. So, point 1: next time, the guests should apparently vomit at his feet in the restaurant, so you'll believe it. Second, illness is unpredictable! Third, setting tables doesn't take that long. Fourth, a large family also arrived at the table after us, so he didn't just set it for us. We all had little appetite after that reception, despite our repeated apologies!!! This is unacceptable!!! All the dishes were delicious! The menus and the food labels should be revised. For the dish of the day with pork medallions, it should actually be called "Schnetzeltes des Pork Medallions," because each one had at most 4 or 5 tiny (they were cut just as small as the mushrooms) very tender pieces of meat, so it was a bit small. And for the panna cotta, it would also be nice if they mentioned that it was plum compote and not as generic as the menu stated! We all found the chairs very uncomfortable! Nevertheless, I would like to say again in conclusion that it was really delicious, so kudos to the chef!

We went there spontaneously for the second time today. We got a table again. Everything was great again.

Delicious pizza & pasta at the dam - lots of nice girls serving as waitresses!

We booked a table in advance because it was very busy there. Nice view of the reservoir from the terrace. Service initially friendly. We waited a very long time for the food. Almost 1.5 hours. You then get the recommendation to take an appetizer. This is coming quickly. Even people who only ordered pizza waited longer than 1 hour. I ordered noodles with beef and got fat-streaked, gristly slices of meat. I was very disappointed and told the waitress this. I'm sorry, that was their statement and she was gone. I couldn't eat the meat so I picked it out and only ate the noodles. My husband tried but he couldn't eat the meat either. When paying I said again that I didn't like it at all. They didn't respond to that at all, they simply ignored my criticism. We actually wanted to eat there again the next day, but didn't. Conclusion: expensive restaurant, long waiting times, the staff doesn't care whether you like it.

We went to dinner at the railway festival today... The food beforehand was delicious but it took almost 2 hours Waiting for food…….even though others who came later got their food after 15 minutes, that was out of proportion for us and we weren’t the only ones who felt that way……… We were repeatedly put off by saying we had the pizza in mind…Sorry, but that’s not possible

We have eaten at Bella Vista several times, it has always been delicious and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. In addition to the cozy atmosphere, the view of the dam is also great.

Highly recommended. We called shortly before opening and although there was nothing left available, a table was set up for us. The service was very friendly, even when we tipped over a full glass. She even brought us a new spritzer for free. Great service, thank you. The food was also very tasty, well seasoned and plentiful. Overall, we enjoyed our time in the restaurant in the great atmosphere at the dam. Thank you for this lovely stay and see you next time.

We were there for Good Friday lunchtime. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food. In addition, some of the food was a little tasteless than we had previously known. In particular, the bruschetta didn't taste like any garlic. In addition, some portions were quite small (especially the salad with goat cheese). Of course it's all a matter of taste. The service was friendly and accommodating, apart from the long waiting time. Since we know it better from before, we'll stick with 4 stars. Otherwise I would give 3 stars.

The Bella Vista in Malter impresses with its fantastic location with lake views, delicious Italian cuisine and friendly service. Whether pizza, pasta or a glass of wine on the terrace - here you can perfectly combine enjoyment with relaxation.

Great food, great view, great service... keep it up

We were sent away before our first visit and were not allowed to order anything to take away. On our second attempt we were also sent away, even though the restaurant was at most half full. The service staff seems overwhelmed.

We were guests for the third time on February 9th. We were warmly greeted and given a table with a beautiful view of the dam. So we were able to enjoy in peace from the starter to the dessert. Everything tasted excellent. We felt like we were in Italy ourselves. Thank you for the lovely time and the wonderful food.

A special place to relax with great food and very good service

Our local restaurant – simply the best! Good staff and great service. Just go in in a good mood and everything will be fine. Some of the bad reviews here are somehow incomprehensible, somehow typically German!!! However, you shouldn't come there in a bad mood. 🤪😉🙏🏻👍🏼👌🏼

It's a shame, unfortunately that wasn't what we were used to. The service staff was nice, no question. Nevertheless, as a really well-intentioned tip: smile, communicate and open your eyes. Many things went wrong today. The pizza dough was extremely oversalted, the pasta was cooked to a sticky soft consistency, the Prosecco was completely lacking in carbonation and the plates weren't cleared for ages. Several things were put wrong... It's a shame, given the very high prices you can simply expect more as a guest. I really hope that today was an exception and doesn't become the norm from now on.

We had reserved a table for two people for Saturday evening and were shown to the prepared table. The order was taken quickly, drinks came quickly and the food came in a reasonable time. If you prepare it fresh, you should allow for a certain amount of time. The dishes tasted delicious, sea bream with grilled vegetables and ox cheeks with gnocchi and beans. We were very satisfied, and the service was friendly and attentive even though the restaurant was full. I can't understand your negative reviews. See you next time

I knew this restaurant and invited my mother here for lunch today. As always, the food was delicious, the service was attentive and friendly... The only thing that left something to be desired was the weather, but we were sitting in the dry with the best view of the dam. Absolute recommendation

Given the exorbitant prices, I expect draft beer and high-quality tables/chairs. Pizza was standard, but nothing more. The really nice view doesn't make up for the prices.

Beautiful terrace and friendly staff. The dog was also given water. We were a little disappointed with the food after all the praise here on the web. Not every day is like the other or anything like that.

We just wanted to order 2 pizzas to take away, as is also offered on the homepage. We were sent out again because the operator was completely overwhelmed and treated his staff uncoordinated and unfriendly. Seems to be going well enough.

The cordonbleu was excellent, however some of the other dishes were less so, the steak slightly overcooked and generally quite generous with the salt, but the location is good and the service excellent

The food is very tasty and the surroundings are also really beautiful. Unfortunately, what we always notice is that the operator is always very rude to his employees. Therefore the ambience also suffers. You feel ashamed and uncomfortable as a stranger. Good Italian cuisine in a perfect location. Unfortunately the lunch offer is limited to buffet only with a price of €23 on weekends. This means that it is not possible to have a small snack if you are hungry in between meals. Tip: Avoid the ice garden.

Because of the good reviews and the high prices, I assumed it was a good Italian restaurant. But there is definitely no Italian chef in the kitchen here. The pizza is rather small, sparingly topped and tastes like nothing apart from the excess of Italian dried herbs, only the dough is delicious. Vitello tonnato is very, very small, but that doesn't matter in terms of quality because I wouldn't have wanted to eat more of it. Completely overpriced for the quality offered.

We were visiting Dippoldiswalde and through research we chose this beautiful restaurant on the lake with a wonderful view for the first evening. It turns out that this wasn't a culinary mistake either. All dishes were very tasty. Both the pasta and the pizza are simply recommended and so it wasn't difficult to come back. This time too we were served very well and the service was excellent. We would come back if we traveled to Dippoldiswalde again.

We had booked for 20 people and came with 15, which the employee who welcomed us noticeably didn't like. Why wasn't he interested! Personally, I didn't like being welcomed like that...but... The food and the ambience were very nicely presented. The restaurant was very busy, but there was always someone there for the guest. I had never had such a good bruschetta as a starter, the dish of the day (pasta) was delicious... A reservation definitely makes sense. A visit is highly recommended. Thank you

Absolutely perfect... I know what I'm talking about...

Great service, starters and main courses.. Can't complain... everything was there in less than half an hour.. which, as I said, is the finest! Garlic bread .. pork fillet .. and mushrooms .. everything in great order... Everything is reasonable in terms of price! ... and when it comes to drinking... everyone will find something!

We were there with 8 people and wanted to have a coffee first. Unfortunately we were turned away with the message “We are a restaurant” even though all the tables were free. We would certainly have eaten something else, but if the innkeeper doesn't want any sales, then not. Anyone who is rejected once will not come back later. Good luck, maybe a rethink will begin 🤔

We spontaneously went to dinner. We were able to dine even without a reservation. The service was really friendly and our pizzas were delicious. Next time we will make a reservation so we can still enjoy the atmosphere.

I was at the restaurant with friends on Saturday. We were greeted warmly and had a nice table for three people. Every meal was delicious, special requests were catered for and we really enjoyed the evening at Bella Vista.

Wir waren in der Zeit vom 30.09.2023 bis 07.10.2023 dreimal hier zum Abendessen. Ein tolles Restaurant mit wunderbarem Ausblick auf die Talsperre und einer vorzüglichen Küche unter deutscher Leitung. Auch die Anrichtung der Speisen auf dem Teller war wirklich eine Augenweide. Das Personal und der Chef des Hauses waren angenehm nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist angemessen. Das Restaurant ist oft ausgebucht. Wir empfehlen dringend eine telefonische Vorabreservierung.

Sehr unfreundlicher junger Kellner :-( Es ist ein traumhafter, sonniger Oktober-Tag. Die Terasse ist auch noch voll bestuhlt, aber der junge Herr Kellner erlaubt uns NICHT, dort in der Sonne Platz zu nehmen. Er ist zu FAUL, uns auf der Terasse zu bedienen. Er müsste dazu lediglich 5m weiter laufen, aber, das ist zu viel verlangt. Da lässt er die Gäste lieber wieder gehen, wenn sie sich nicht zwingen lassen, drin Platz zu nehmen. Dabei ist die Pizzeria fast leer. er hat Zeit. Ein einziger Tisch ist besetzt. Viele Grüße an den Chef: Dieser Kellner kann niemals ein Geschäftsmann sein! Kein Geschäftsmann würde Gäste wegschicken, die einfach nur draußen sitzen wollen. Kurzer Tipp: Wir sind von hier aus wenige Minuten ins Naturhotel Heidemühle gefahren. Der Kellner dort war etwa im selben Alter ... wir durften selbstverständlich draußen sitzen und wurden absolut zuvorkommend bedient. So sieht Service aus!

Im Restaurant herrschte Hochbetrieb. Das Personal wirkte trotzdem entspannt, wir wurden mit einem freundlichen Lächeln bedient. Das Essen war superlecker und das Ambiente auf der Terrasse wunderschön. Ein romantischer Sonnenuntergang direkt am Wasser - das ist einfach nur ein Traum nach einem langen Tag!

Leider keine Beschriftung der Speisen am Nudelbuffet. Für einen Italiener kein Parmesankäse sondern einfachen Reibekäse hinzustellen schade. Mehr Auswahl gewünscht. Fleischanteil erhohen oder Pizzastück bzw. Pizzabrötchen könnte man auch mit einbauen. Auf Extrawünsche bei Dessert wurde nicht eingegangen obwohl Küche ja besetzt war. Ausblick ist wunderbar.

Eigentlich sehr sehr lecker und sehr zu empfehlen. Aber ab 20.oo abgewiesen zu werden aus Kapazitätsgründen, Gaststätte war leer - Terrasse gut gefüllt, ist schon sehr sehr traurig 😢 und das am Mittwoch. Übrigens standen wir 15 min vorher auch schon an einem Schild: Wegen Personalmangel geschlossen. Arme Gastronomie Landschaft 😠

Bin auf Dienstreise in Dippoldiswalde und war auf der Suche nach einem gemütlichen Restaurant zum Abendessen. Beim Eintritt wurde ich mit der Frage empfangen: Haben Sie reserviert? Dann weiße ich Ihnen einen Platz zu. Da ich draußen sitzen wollte, wurde ich abgewiesen. Das ist zu umständlich. Die Verabschiedung vom Personal folgte umgehend. Auf nimmer Wiedersehen. Das ist Service pur!

Das Essen war sehr lecker, tolle Qualität und für Erwachsene ordentliche Portionen zum angemessenem Preis. Leider sind die doch recht teuren Kindergerichte mittlerweile sehr klein - für Kleinkinder wohl ausreichend aber Kinder ab 5 Jahren haben nach dem Essen sicher noch Hunger. Service war gut. Ambiente ist gut, vor allem die Lage an der Talsperre.

Das Essen und der Service waren Spitzenklasse.Etwas ungewöhnlich fand ich die zeitliche Tischbelegung,aber aus geschäftlichen Gründen nachvollziehbar. .Aber für mich unverständlich ist das Rauchverbot auf der Terrasse.
