Bei Taki Junior in München

We stumbled upon this wonderful place while walking along the street, feeling very hungry, and it left us with fond memories of both the food and the hospitality. The omelet was amazing, and the daily dishes were delicious. A heartfelt thank you to the owners, Taki Bey and Tülay Hanım. Everyone visiting Munich should definitely add this lovely place to their list.

Is it even possible to visit Germany and not have some Döner? It’s arguably one of the best tasting foods, and great for hangovers! We tried both the sandwich version as well as the wrap version. The traditional sandwich one was way better - more meats and juices per bite to cover and coat your mouth. So good - why don’t more places have this? For drinks, we sampled two: (1) the Iced Peach Tea - a little too much artificial taste; (2) Turkish yogurt drink - forgot the name and photo, but it was a salty yogurt drink that was drinkable, but not our cup of tea…

I was on a study abroad trip with students and found this place by accident, but it may have been one of our best stops in all of our travels. Everyone loved what they ordered. If you go, get the eggplant which is something I would eat over and over again...seriously fantastic! Also, I loved the employees. They were kind and welcoming and the portions were huge!

Great food! Definitely recommend the durum with cheese, absolutely crushed it and wanted more. Might get the XXL version next time (more meat and more cheese)

Unfortunately we were very dissatisfied with our visit to this restaurant. The service was rude and uninviting. The chicken dish we ordered was not what we expected - it was served without potatoes and instead of a side dish there was only a very small portion of beans. We even had to pay an extra 1 euro for an additional spoonful of beans. Overall, the staff wasn't very friendly and we didn't feel welcome. We will not visit this restaurant again.

From a former insider tip to a disappointment - it's a shame about the potential There are places to which you like to return because they offer a special atmosphere, good service or simply a well-thought-out product. This shop undoubtedly used to be one of them - when it was still called “Bei Taki”, it was a small highlight in the area. But unfortunately it's not just the sign that seems to have changed with the new name. The service now presents itself with a remarkable aloofness that almost seems to be a principle. Questions about individual adjustments are not so much answered as they are fended off - but without a clear line, because what seemed impossible at first is then done, but in a way that has little to do with customer orientation. A certain communication culture, which would be advantageous in the catering industry, does not seem to be part of the concept here. About the product: The kebab is... available. Not bad, but nothing memorable either. The list of ingredients has been reduced to the absolute minimum, which is certainly a question of concept - or calculation. Solid in taste, but without any sophistication or a hint of attention to detail. If you value more than meat, iceberg lettuce and tomatoes, you won't get your money's worth here. Conclusion: The place has changed, and with it the experience. If you are looking for fast, functional processing, you will find an option here. Those who value hospitality, taste and a pleasant atmosphere may need to look around.

Service and food 12/10 Very nice gentlemen, despite my poor German mixed with English, they helped us a lot and recommended the regional Augustinerbrau beer, which is just like this place = the best, we recommend it to everyone, we will definitely come back. Greetings from Poland :)

I was looking at the menu outside and the staff came out and kindly explained everything in English, which was nice. I asked for takeout by paying by card, and they understood and did it. The kebabs were huge and delicious, so I was full. I definitely want to visit again next time I come to Munich!

They say you don't have to drink on an empty stomach. That's why I stopped at Taki before the Oktoberfest. Best decision for every Wiesner 🍻

Delicious lunch. Because I don’t understand German, the service and chef enthusiastically explained the food to me. Finally, I ordered the daily meal tagesgericht mit reis, salat und brot and coke. It was delicious. The gravy was delicious with the bread. It was worth it. Great place to pitch. On 19/9, my friends and I couldn’t do without lunch at this restaurant. Because it was very appetizing, the chef recommended the seasonal meal: chicken legs and stewed beef. We chose 1 portion of stewed beef and 2 portions of chicken legs. The portions were the same. The food was delicious, paired with American coffee, and the chef also served another stewed beef with vegetables and eggplant for free. I was very satisfied and full of energy to start today's trip. In addition, we made an appointment with the restaurant to spend the last day in Munich on 20/9 and dine in his restaurant. The chef provided us with a special breakfast (for 3 of us, each with a cup of hot drink, a total of €39.5), which was super filling. Good food and lots of smiles.

It’s the third day we’ve had breakfast here. Yesterday, the restaurant owner promised to cook a special breakfast for us. As promised, there was an unexpected surprise. The portion was huge and the taste was very good. However, our stomachs were not strong enough to complete this task😅

We ate with Taki and his sons on several days as a group of 10 and were always welcomed and served in an extremely friendly manner. The food was excellent and drinks and food were on our tables in no time. We felt very comfortable because of your nice, friendly and pleasant manner. 100% recommended for anyone looking for food with a taste of home. The Turkish food here is very tasty, everything tastes very fresh and not at all industrialized, since I have eaten Turkish food in other places in Munich and the taste is very industrial, like fast food. And that doesn't happen here. I have to say that the attention is the best I have received here. The owner is very attentive. It has a wide variety of drinks, soft drinks, and beers. I will return more times for sure.

I had the pleasure of dining at MATBAH last night and all I can say is that it was an exceptional experience. The ambience was warm and inviting, and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely fantastic! Every course was a delight, from the starter to the dessert. You can tell that fresh and high-quality ingredients are used here. I can only recommend it 👍🏽👍🏽

Great, great food and cold beer

We had the pleasure of dining here served by Taki himself, who's been running the place for over 2 decades and prides himself in the establishment. The falafel, dolma, hummus and particularly the couscous all hit the spot. There was also the spätzle which I personally do not love. Also an interesting fried gemüse (veggie) patty which I hadn't come across before but it was nice, can't go wrong with the fried stuff really. The red wine also was an excellent accompaniment.

Opening hours are incorrect. Been there for free.
