Bei Dora in Solingen

Very good. The sauce and fries were fresh and delicious. The currywurst was seasoned nicely. Perfect.

Always friendly. The food is, as always, delicious. I was also able to convince my work colleagues to try Dora.

Yesterday, we wanted to eat at "Dora's" for the first time, as we had tried their gyros once at a friend's house (they had ordered in) and found it very tasty. So, we arrived at the small eatery yesterday with my partner's grandparents, full of anticipation. We were greeted incredibly rudely – no hello, no friendly demeanor whatsoever. It wasn't Dora herself (according to the photos), but another woman. When we asked if there were any flyers so we could look at the menu, as we were there with two elderly people, we received a curt "No, we don't have any." When we asked if they had coffee/cappuccino, the answer was "Nope." Anything but customer-friendly service. With such a reception and treatment, we quickly made our escape. What a shame!

Outrageous! A whole spit full of meat, and they try to tell us it's already sold out. And then they let the four of us leave... That's how you lose your regular customers...

Unfortunately, the salad wasn't good. Everything tasted the same, and the peppers were hard.

After more than 90 minutes, the food still hasn't been delivered. I tried calling several times, but the phone hung up three times, then the line was constantly busy. That was the last time for me.

I've always enjoyed going there for 20 years, but since Dora's retirement, the food has deteriorated considerably. Schnitzel is from the supermarket, and gyros aren't what they used to be. Too bad, I won't be coming back. A two-hour wait for delivery. They're not as friendly on the phone as they used to be. All the best to you.

Currywurst was Bockwurst. It has absolutely nothing in common with currywurst. Never again. On June 16, 2025, the owner wrote that he was sorry. What exactly? That they served us some crap! You know exactly what's being prepared and what's being sent out, right? Not like that.

In the past, when I ordered the food it arrived quickly. Today I ordered at 4:45 p.m. and it still hasn't arrived.

Disastrous food. The Jägerschnitzel is an impertinence, the schnitzel is certainly the cheapest frozen schnitzel. The hunter's sauce is a joke, thickly mixed, very salty, soggy gravy with maybe 5 small mushrooms in it. The gyro is also a disgrace…. Thickly sliced, dry meat. A disgrace for a Greek snack bar... the pizza dough isn't exactly great either. Something was also forgotten during delivery! I don't like spending my money there.

When you have a snack at Dora's you feel welcome from the first moment. Dora is simply a kind-hearted woman who welcomes you with a smile every time - that's real hospitality that you rarely experience today. My main course, the hollandaise pizza with corn and asparagus, was an absolute blast! For me it's clearly the best hollandaise pizza in all of Solingen - really tasty, well topped and perfectly baked. The prices are also really fair these days. Not only do you get delicious food, but you also get a lot of food on your plate - the overall package is just right. And if you want your food delivered on time, you won't be disappointed here either: ordered at 12:30 p.m.? Delivered at 12:30pm – on the second! This is service the way you want it. In short: Everything is perfect at Dora – delicious food, fair prices, great service and a hostess with heart. Clear recommendation!

It is a small snack bar but very nicely designed, and the food today was very tasty. If I could I would give 10 stars to all of them. The owner is also very friendly and confident. I haven't met such lovely people in a long time. We had a grill plate today and it tasted so great 👍🥰🥰🥰

Prices are okay, food too, but it always depends on WHO is doing it. Therefore only 4 stars, as the quality unfortunately varies greatly.

Beste Gyros in Solingen , aber auch die Pizzen immer super lecker und große Portionen . Zaziki vom anderen Stern , habe noch nie besseres Gyrosfleisch oder besseres Zaziki gegessen weiter so Dora

I always order the souflaki plate to have delivered to my home, the skewers (3) are super delicious, juicy, delicious fries 👍 and for a price that you paid in the 90s, gyros are also great. Thank you 🙏 I can only recommend the snack bar 👍👍👍👍👍

Very tasty Gyros Metaxa, finally a gyros that isn't dried out like others. The fries also got crispy. Delivery lightning fast and hot from friendly messenger. Quality snack and really worth recommending! Thanks :)

We've been eating at Dora's for 30 years, but what was delivered to us today was substandard. The food was almost cold, the fries were soggy and then instead of an additional portion of tzatziki we got a third fries. That was our last order there. But I do have one positive point. The gyro was, as always, delicious (if it had been warm).

So 25 minutes after placing my order they called me and told me that they weren't delivering in Mitte because of the closures, even though I said nothing was closed anymore because we were waiting until the main street was free again. Just a city center. I find it quite unnecessary. You could have gotten rid of it right away when you ordered. The last time for us, now we can wait an hour for the next supplier...

Always happy to know each other for years

I was there on February 19th, 2022 and was immediately asked to wear a Corona mask, the young lady didn't have one on. A child was doing gymnastics in the service area, it's not possible. My order 2x currywurst, 1x spicy, which made it 2x spicy. The sausage was on the grill for far too long, dry and tasteless. The gyros that I actually wanted to order looked very dry and not very tasty I liked being here 23 years ago because of the good quality and taste, Conclusion: the time of taste and love for curry sausage is over

I can't understand the negative reviews. Ok, everyone has their own experiences. Everything was right for me. Very tasty, delivery service and a super nice messenger. In addition, the prices are very moderate and the portions are absolutely great. Thank you for that! Best regards!

Unfortunately, Gyros Pita was pretty inedible. Soggy bread, blandly seasoned and too light gyros meat. I couldn't finish it.

Nicht einmal 1 Sterne verdient !!!! Pommes schnitzel Soße bestellt (Soße über schnitzel extra erwähnt )! Dennoch die Soße über die pommes bekommen und ne pampe auf dem Teller! Innerhalb 2 Wochen 3 mal enttäuscht wurden ! ....Maxo Mix "bin ich ebenfalls "! Enttäuschend!!!!!!!!!! !!!Letzte mal gewesen!!!! Gehen sie lieber zu !!!!LEIKI'S GRILL U. Pizzeria!!!!!!

Trotz dreimaliger Wiederholung wieder zwei mal Mayo vergessen. Hähnchen und Pommes sind ekelhaft labbrig. Das war jetzt wirklich das allerletzte Mal.

Zu lange Wartezeit. Über 1 Stunde gewartet. Haben auch nicht mal bescheid gesagt . Wenn man Hunger hat besser nicht den Lieferservise beauftragen. Werde dort nicht mehr bestellen.

Erste und vermutlich auch letzte Bestellung bei Dora. Mit einiger Verspätung bekamen wir zwei lauwarme Schnitzel mit durchaus leckeren Saucen und solider Fleischqualität. Die Pommes hingegen waren ein halbgarer Totalausfall. In Summe keine echte Empfehlung, eher was für den "Notfall"

Schnelle Lieferung, guter Service, nette Leute und schmecken tut es auch. Immer wieder gerne.

"Thunfisch" Baguette.....!? Baguette i.o ....würde der Thunfisch nur nicht fehlen ^^!! Traurig WEILL Es der "Lieblings-imbiss" WAR!

Eine der besten Imbissbuden in Solingen. Leckere griechische Gerichte und ein sehr gutes eigenes Online Bestellsystem. Pizza , Pommes , Pita und Schnitzel, alles hervorragend meiner Meinung nach. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Ein Klassiker und eine Solinger Institution an der Beethovenstraße seit über 30 Jahren. Ich kenne es gar nicht anders, denn Bei Dora ist älter als ich. Immer frisch, immer freundlich, immer zufrieden. Pommes und Pizza sind schon seit ich klein bin, und auch nachdem ich weggezogen bin, die besten in der Umgebung. Allein der Pizzateig schmeckt sehr gut, denn es gibt viele Imbisse, nicht nur in Solingen, wo der Teig leider gar keinen Geschmack hat. Hoffentlich gibt es euch noch sehr, sehr lange. :-)

Essen sehr, sehr lecker und reichlich. Egal ob wir Essen abholen oder liefern lassen. Der Lieferservice ist der mega Knaller 💙! Bevor sie in die Wohnung treten ziehen die vorher die Schuhe aus. Die sind immer super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Ich habe telefonisch vorbestellt. Bei der Abholung würde ich sehr freundlich begrüßt, Alles war gut eingepackt, Nichts ausgelaufen bis zu Hause! Wir hatten zwei halbe Hähnchen, die sehr lecker gewürzt waren, einen Gyrosteller komplett, der sehr reichhaltig war und einen großen Salat. Sehr sehr lecker und keine kleinen Portionen! Wir waren sehr zufrieden! Werden wieder dort kaufen!! Empfehlenswert! 👍👍

Das war wirklich enttäuschend. Das Gyros schmeckt nicht, Souvlaki war total fettig, ungewürzt und auch nicht richtig gegrillt, Pommes labbrig und die Dame auch nicht sehr freundlich. Da gibt es viel viel bessere griechische Pommesbuden in Solingen.

Gehe dort ab und an essen ,früher regelmäßig. Kann mich bisher nicht beschweren ,das Personal alle sehr nett und freundlich. Immer für einen Plausch zu haben . Sehr sauber und das Essen ist lecker . Gyrosfleisch manchmal etwas zu knusprig 😉 ansonsten echt lecker . Kann ich empfehlen und werde dort weiter essen gehen.

Immer sehr freundlich, Essen ist sehr gut und preiswert, Lieferung immer schnell und die Auslieferfahrer sehr nett.

Inhabergeführter Imbiss mit Lieferservice. Bestellen hier öfter Gyros. Kross und gut gewürzt. Auch die Pizza ist nicht zu verachten. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen.

Ein griechischer Imbiss, haben Pizza to Go bestellt. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und zügige Zubereitung. Alles sauber und aufgeräumt. Die Pizza war gut belegt und vom Geschmack unvergleichbar gut. Der wiederholfaktor ist hier sehr hoch.

Das gyros ist trocken und leicht verbrannt. Die Pommes sind nicht wirklich gesalzen.

Wir kennen Dora schon lange. Heute Abend haben wir dort bestellt. Es war wieder sehr lecker. Alles frisch. Der Bote war sehr freundlich. Wenn man in der Lokalität persönlich bestellt, wird man herzlich empfangen und man geht mit sehr leckeren Essen nach Hause. Immer wieder gerne bestellen wir bei ihr.. Leckerer Gyros der immer nach Wunsch angebraten wird. Ich mag das Fleisch dünn und knusprig und das bekomme ich jedes Mal. :) Liebevolle Familie. Kann viele schlechte Rezessionen nicht nachvollziehen.
