Bayrisch Zell in Sulzbach/Saar

Were there for the first time since the ownership changed. Underground. When we ordered the drinks, the waitress told us straight away that we were out of schnitzel and salad. Just chicken. On Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. there are no more schnitzels... Grudgingly agreed to cream schnitzel with chicken. But the schnitzels were turkey.... The glass that was brought to me was completely filthy and was then exchanged, but my enthusiasm was already gone and the free Cola didn't change that. The cutlery and napkins are in a small box on the table, so everyone has to dig around for a knife and fork. Even those who may not have washed their hands after using the toilet. Also very appetizing. The "salad buffet" for self-service side salad was also pretty much looted. You could wipe the gunk off the sides of the salad dressing containers every now and then. There was no longer any leaf lettuce or carrot salad left (Sunday at 7 p.m.!). My food was very salty. My husband's fries too. First visit = last visit

We had dinner in the restaurant last night and all the dishes were very good. Although almost all tables were occupied (including in the next room), the service was perfect.

Waited forever for drinks. Only after 3 inquiries did I get something after about 30 minutes. Food was also forgotten. All the other tables that arrived 40 minutes after us had their food before us. Such a disaster. NEVER AGAIN BAYRISCH ZELL

Very cosy and tucked away place, excellent service, tasty food, affordable prices, all round well managed.

Super tasty steaks, schnitzels and salads. No frozen goods, but absolutely fresh and high-quality meat that leaves nothing to be desired. Very nicely designed terrace and you can soon feel very comfortable in the beer garden. The staff is very friendly and keeps an overview even when the restaurant is full. You don't have to wait very long for the lovingly prepared food. The perfect excursion destination in the countryside for hikers or for a short visit with a motorhome. I have been a guest there several times and have tried most of the dishes. That's why I can give it 5 stars with a clear conscience and would be happy to come back.

Beautifully located in the countryside. Parking spaces in front of the house. Seating inside, on the terrace and in the beer garden. Lots of seating, it's currently being redesigned a bit. Friendly service, 4 different dishes were ordered in our group. Everything prepared fresh and delicious. Everyone very satisfied. We will be back.

The restaurant is beautifully located in the forest. It's great to sit both inside and outside on the terrace. We stopped there after a hike. Unfortunately the food was a complete disaster. The gourmet salad is recommended on the menu. It is described with fresh raw vegetables and fresh leaf salad. I got raw vegetables (carrots, celery, peppers) from the jar. An absolute nonsense!!! No Go!! On top of that was lettuce and onion rings and strips of sheep's cheese. The onion rings and the sheep's cheese were covered with what felt like a centimeter thick of a ready-made spice mixture. My friend's turkey breast salad was similarly terrible. The meat dishes were covered in a thick, indefinable sauce. Three of the four of us had gastrointestinal problems. We will definitely not be eating there again.

Had dinner with my sister and family today. We were greeted very nicely and friendly by the girls in service 😊. They were always very friendly and attentive throughout the evening. The food was super tasty 🤤, everything was freshly prepared and really great. Price/performance top. We'll definitely be back

We could have only gotten drinks today. We would have needed a reservation for food. But you can't plan a spontaneous bike tour like that. I didn't find anything about reservations on the homepage. A pity.

The side dishes, mushrooms and onions were cold, then warmed up in the microwave. You deal with something like that differently. I can only praise the pepper sauce in this restaurant!!! The service left a lot to be desired, although it was very friendly but still needs to be improved enormously. A lack of staff in the catering industry is currently being criticized everywhere, no matter how hard the boss can try to find something. Shaking tables in the outdoor area, which could not be compensated for even with beer mats. There is more that can be done with this restaurant. I'll be back to keep an eye on the progress. I was there on weekdays. Everything fitted. Then I was there on the May 9th bank holiday, even though there wasn't too much going on and the service person saw us, we had 15 minutes Waited, nothing happened. No service, so we left. other guests who came after us had already received their drinks.

We celebrated lunch today with 18 people. The service was very attentive and extremely friendly. All orders were a la carte and came to the table almost at the same time. All guests enjoyed the food very much. The portions were more than sufficient. Kudos to the kitchen and the service ladies. The price/service list is correct. We'd love to come back.

The inside of the restaurant is very rustic. The service was not good and seemed very unprofessional to us. The food was very oversalted. The bowl was more of a green salad with a topping of minced meat, beans and corn, garnished with a few tacos. I expected much more. When we were informed that the food was oversalted, we were told that it was the typical minced meat bowl and that it probably wasn't to our taste. Overall, the restaurant does not in any way live up to what the website promises and what the prices suggest. For a little less money you get significantly better quality with better service just a few km away.

We were guests at Bayrisch Zell with 8 people. The occasion was the theme evening Spare Ribs. The ribs were amazing. Juicy, soft, delicious. The waitresses and the owner were very friendly. We will be back!!

Food intolerances are definitely addressed. The service can only be praised. Very attentive and friendly. The ambience can still be improved. But nothing you can't work on.

Service was a disaster. At our table and at other tables, food was forgotten or mixed up. We were constantly sitting in front of empty glasses and when someone spilled a drink on the table, we let the bar know. Instead of someone coming to the table as expected, a roll of kitchen paper was handed to us. The food came quickly - too quickly. The dishes were sumptuous, but unfortunately the sauce came from a package. A positive thing to mention is the salad bar where you can help yourself. Various salads and dressings are offered there. All in all very mixed. In any case, we won't eat there again.

I had a really good steak for a long time and the schnitzel and salad were great. It took half an hour to drive but it was worth it. I'll definitely come back. The staff were also very friendly and were there straight away if something went wrong. Keep it up!!!

We were there on a Sunday, around 3:30 p.m., without a reservation, but still got a table for 2 people. Our order was finally served after the second complaint after 75 minutes. In the meantime, the waitress kept squeezing past the table, once ramming a chair into my side. No sound came from her lips, which I then ignored with the comment: “It will heal again.” The schnitzel alla Chef was a PNP schnitzel (breaded-no-breaded), topped with 3 slices of everyday ham, 3 sticks of asparagus, the whole thing then covered with lots of sliced ​​cheese. Visually not very appealing, taste-wise a fiasco. There were also fries, which were at least acceptable. The drink replenishment was very slow. All in all, not recommended, sorry!

Wir waren vor ein paar Tagen das erste Mal seit der Neueröffnung da. Zwei Sterne gibt es nur, weil das Essen eigentlich gut war. Nur die Champignonrahmsoße war nicht lecker. Aber fangen wir an mit dem Service. Mein Mann und ich wollten als Vorspeise eine Zwiebelsuppe. Bei der Bestellung meinte der Kellner:" Packst du das denn überhaupt?" Erstens, Lieber Kellner, duzt man keine Leute, die man noch nie gesehen hat und zum zweiten... was für ein plumper Spruch war das denn??? Aber die Zwiebelsuppe hatte sich dann auch schnell erledigt, weil keine mehr da war. Der "Gastraum" erinnerte mehr an eine Kneipe, da am Tresen mehrere Leute sich sehr lautstark unterhielten mit Themen, die man eher von einem Männerabend kennt. Es war sehr kalt in dem Raum, was durch das ständige Öffnen einer Seitentür um Nachschub für die Küche zu besorgen noch gefördert wurde. Zu unseren Speisen konnte man sich an der Salatbar seinen Beilagensalat selber zusammenstellen. Die "Salatbar" bestand aus einem Häufchen Blattsalat, Bohnen und Farmersalat serviert in verschiedenen Schüsseln. Sowas hab ich noch nirgends gesehen. Das Bier von meinem Mann war schon halb leer, als dann endlich mal mein Wein kam. bei der Nachbestellung war es dann genau umgekehrt. Ich dachte schon ich bin bei "Verstehen Sie Spaß". Der komplette Service wirkte völlig chaotisch. Die Preise sind OK. Bis auf die Nachspeise... da ist noch Platz nach unten. Auf die Rechnung wartet man ewig, wie auf so ziemlich alles. Mein Fazit... Essen war soweit Ok, brauch ich aber nicht wieder

Unfortunately, we imagined something different. My husband's flesh was burnt to the edges. The steak with fries was cooked medium but also too dark. I actually ordered croquettes. For 27.80 euros... too expensive. The salad buffet was not mentioned. At the door we found out that you were allowed to help yourself there.

Had dinner there with the family. From start to finish a good process from the staff and the kitchen. Even though there was a lot of people, we didn't have to wait long for drinks or food.

We had pre-ordered for 5 people and 2 dogs and were squeezed together at a 4-person table. Unfortunately, the food was only lukewarm, the staff was friendly and tried hard, but unfortunately they didn't have an overview. No comparison with Martin, the previous owner!!!!!

Table reserved for 4 people, drinks ordered, asked politely after 35 minutes and reminded about the drinks, arrived after another 5 minutes with the information that food orders would take at least 2 hours. Then we paid for the drinks, skipped the food and changed the location. Overall it was too crowded, too loud, uncomfortable. If the kitchen only has capacity for 50 people, it is not advisable to allocate 80 seats.

The restaurant was very busy, so it took a while for the food to arrive. The service was very friendly and apologized several times for the long wait. The food was really very good. What I personally didn't like was that you had to get the salad to eat in a side room. There must have been some kind of small salad buffet there. If I go out for a buffet meal it's ok, but I personally don't like it that much. I can't say anything about the salad as I didn't have one. The next room was full and I didn't find it very pleasant to get a salad there. But let's say it's my personal thing that I didn't think it was good at all. There was nothing else to complain about about the food. Portions are large, the schnitzel and fries are crispy. The cream sauce also tasted great.

Etwas abseits gelegen aber dafür in Mitten der Natur. Essen gut bürgerlich und sehr lecker. Portionen gross auch für den riesigen Hunger ausreichend. Der Service flott und freundlich. Wie hatten einen Tisch für 12 Personen. Dieser war im Nebenraum der durch seine Grösse trotz Deco etwas kahl wirkt. Der Geräuschpegel war dank unserer Mithilfe doch etwas laut.

Tolles Restaurant. Essen war super lecker und Preis - Leistung stimmen, Service war nett und freundlich. Immer Sommer bestimmt noch toller, da kann man draußen sitzen und ist von Wald umgeben. Am besten Tisch reservieren und dies auch ein paar Tage vorher.

Sehr leckeres Essen und zuvorkommender Service.

Ich muss wirklich sagen: Es ist etwas her als ich das letzte Mal so aufmerksames Service-Personal gesehen habe. Dazu noch der sehr freundliche Wirt, welcher immer einen lustigen Spruch auf den Lippen hat. Sehr Schlagfertig. Die Speisen sind lecker und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist mehr als angemessen. Wir haben uns rundum gut umsorgt gefühlt. Das Ambiente der Location ist sehr urig und gemütlich. Die beiden Betreiber geben sich sehr viel Mühe bei der liebevollen Dekoration. Highlight ist der Biergarten, welcher auch Hundebesitzern einen guten Auslauf für Ihre Vierbeiner ermöglicht. Selbige sind hier übrigens gerne gesehen. Die Gaststätte eignet sich sehr gut für die zahlreichen Wanderer zur Einkehr. Tut euch allerdings einen Gefallen und reserviert vorher! Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich und kann als "deftig" beschrieben werden. Ausgefallene Speisen oder Cocktails sucht man hier vergebens. Dafür bekommt man hier solide deftige Speisen (Fleischlastig) und annehmbare Weine. Alles in allem ein rundes Erlebnis. Wir kommen wieder!

Das Essen war sehr gut und preisleistung stimmt hier auch. Der Service dort ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Stimmung dort ist immer gut. Auch gegenüber Kindern sind sie super lieb und fürsorglich. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und gehen sicher öfter dorthin. Eine Reservierung wird dringend empfohlen weil sie immer gut besucht sind. Ich kann dieses Restaurant sehr empfehlen.

Service und Ambiente sind super, Die Preise sind Standard, jedoch kann man im Saarland in diesem Preis segment doch vieler Orts Besser Essen. Beispiel sind die Schnitzel. Ich glaub da wird ne fertig panade benutzt und sie werden wohl frittiert. Egal wie woanders bekommt man bessere für das Geld.
