It starts with the guest communication: this was via email and simply wonderfully friendly, informative and the team was very helpful. Kim in particular deserves a very positive mention here. The New Year's Eve buffet was also excellent and unbeatable in terms of value for money. Due to a lack of staff, many restaurants now only see themselves as “warming up places” for food produced by the industry. But not here. Everything here is handmade and the cuisine has an Eastern European twist. So there's something hearty... We stayed overnight on New Year's Eve. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I travel a lot for work. There is usually no breakfast buffet under €25 in hotels. The €10 is also unbeatable here. In summary: we were there with 15 people and we are all happy to come back. If there's one thing that could be improved, it would be to put on some party music on New Year's Eve to get some atmosphere going. But don't worry. This year we took over that. It's nice that this was tolerated. ;)

We were there at Christmas and enjoyed the Royal Christmas buffet in the restaurant, so we can't say much about the rooms. The food was very good, the restaurant was beautifully decorated and the Christmas music created a really nice atmosphere right from the start. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the food and really felt very comfortable in the great atmosphere. It was our first visit, but certainly not our last and we can fully recommend the restaurant to everyone, really, really great.

We were there on Boxing Day for the buffet. What can I say, we are absolutely thrilled with the food, ambience and the whole atmosphere. The waitresses were all very friendly and helpful. Parking options are very available. We will definitely come more often now.

The boss and the waitresses were super friendly and nice, a really great team. The Christmas buffet was great, lots of choice, a cream soup as a starter, side salads all very fresh, different types of meat and side dishes. At the end there was a delicious dessert and drinks such as wine and multivitamins and apple juice were included in the price. A great price-performance ratio.

We were at the Christmas buffet. Registered with 10 people at 5.30 p.m. with advance payment. After 5:45 p.m. there were no more side dishes. Fries are out. There was no replacement. Meat in warming container was cold. Buffet should last until 9 p.m.!!! Dessert only 1 variety, Rusty Knights. If you don't like that, bad luck. Never again!!!!!!!

It was very nice there, my family and I felt very comfortable and were very happy with the food and the service. The food was very tasty, there were many different options to eat and all the staff were very nice and friendly. You could really tell that they want all their guests to have a good time with them.

Christmas buffet simply delicious

We wanted to spend a nice Christmas Day with the family and we weren't sitting properly yet, then we were told to pay so that they would see that we were willing to pay. It was 6:00 p.m. and the guests were no longer getting French fries. They were empty😂 Less than half an hour later, a lady stood at the frame with a bowl of fries in her hand and asked us if we wanted any more fries. So you pay once when you're finished in the restaurant. Then there was a coupon for the dessert that I have never experienced at the buffet before. Then you talk to the staff about it and you are kind of insulted and left standing there stupidly. So the atmosphere was so bad for us that we left everything behind and left. That was the last time and I wouldn't recommend it. It's a shame, but they are running this place down with this staff. Even 1 star unfortunately it's too much

I stayed at the Hotel Bauer Schmidt in Weilerbach and was very satisfied. Even though I arrived late in the evening at 9:30 p.m., I received a friendly welcome and was even able to choose a free drink. When I asked, the restaurant made me something to eat, which I really appreciated. The room was clean and perfectly fine for the price. The breakfast was also good and had everything you need. The large parking lot is practical, especially if you are traveling with a trailer or truck. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Durch Zufall habe ich Bauer Schmitt im Internet gefunden. Nach einer ausgeprägten Tagestour sind wir dort eigekehrt. Wir hatten das Bufett genommen und für einen Preis von 20 € kann man absolut nichts sagen es hat gut gescheckt. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

We stayed here for 2 nights with a large group of motorcyclists. Everything has rustic charm, the rooms are very clean, very simple but great mattresses, we slept well. The beer garden was very suitable for our group, you have to go in after 10 p.m., noise-sensitive neighbors. The food was also okay, one evening tasty and simple, the second evening very tasty, varied and very seasoned. The landlord is always friendly, approachable and very helpful. He comprehensively explained and explained to me an important safety element for motorcycling that was new to me. Thanks!

We stayed there with children and a dog. The rooms were clean but no shutters and way too warm. You are allowed to take the dog with you, but it should not move around in the room if possible. A bit disorganized regarding the deposit for the dog. But overall ok

The rooms serve the purpose of overnight stays. They are angry and neat. The staff is awesome. Extremely friendly and accommodating. You feel really comfortable there as a guest.

Unfortunately, far too loud and too restless. Practical accommodation really just for sleeping. We have found that there are significantly better options in the area for a few euros more. But the reception was nice and there was even a free drink.

If you’re looking for a road trip hotel for a stop in between you can stop looking now 👌🏻 This amazing little hotel has it all. The host was very welcoming and we received a free welcome drink of choice when we arrived at 21:30. Rooms are simple, but very clean and functional. There is free parking on the premises. We had a burger for dinner in the cafe area and it was super tasty. We overslept a bit to be in time for breakfast, but when we arrived in the breakfast area and asked the owner he was kind enough to provide us with some of the leftover breakfast! We were very thankful for this. One of the friendliest places we’ve ever stayed in!

Rooms are a bit older. The employees, the boss and the staff are very friendly, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. If you need something, all you have to do is move. All in all great.

I stayed there and have to say - everything was great. Room was clean - breakfast was also 👍 and the staff was very friendly. I also think it's good that you can eat in a courtyard. I'll come back if time allows.

Very nice owners and staff, food was delicious. Breakfast is also sufficient for a good start to the working day. The waitress is a very nice lady and I immediately felt at home. Unfortunately I only slept there one night. But I will stay there again next time. Party and fun are definitely starting there. The girls are very friendly and rooms are clean and tidy. Went to eat in the beer garden again after years and were reminded why we hadn't been there for so long. The beer garden is run down, there are cobwebs everywhere in the artificial plants. Only self-service, which in itself wouldn't be a big problem. The food doesn't taste good at all. You get 4 over-seasoned mini bread dumplings with a much too thick mushroom cream sauce, which is also over-seasoned for a whopping €14.95, and the gratinated schnitzel is also over-salted for €19.95. We are not extremely picky but it was inedible. You can't even enjoy drinking, the juice from the tetra pack of the Netto cheap brand and all the glasses still have the lip prints of the previous guests. We won't go there again and don't understand the good reviews either.
