Very nice home brewery with delicious food and good beer. Employees in Reutlingen are very relaxed, which doesn't mean that they are low performers.

Wanted to spend a nice evening with my wife (30 min drive). We've always enjoyed eating here, but today was disappointing and horrifying. When I initially asked for a table for two people without a reservation. I got the following answer: "I can't give you a table because I don't know who else is coming. I could offer you a place at the bar." Who were the gentlemen expecting? The new chancellor? Of course we didn't accept the "tempting" offer and left. The restaurant had enough free tables, as well as tables for only two people. Seems like we weren't good enough! A disgusting action, we will definitely not come again!!

If you want something quick to eat and don't care too much about quality and service, you've come to the right place

We haven't been here for a while and today we spontaneously decided to go barefoot. The taste of the food was very good, as in the past. The service was also good. However, the portion size has been adjusted downwards. Today I decided on the sausage salad. This was served in a smaller soup tureen. My wife had the barefoot salad with strips of beef. It came on a small starter plate for €18.90. For us, the portion sizes were unacceptable, at least not at the prices advertised.

The food was cold and the sauce was completely over salted… the worst food I have ever eaten in a restaurant. Paid 70 euros for 2 people and it wasn't even worth 10 euros. Not recommended at all 👎

As soon as we sat down, a waiter came to us and said we should ask the shift manager if we could get a table. We then asked if all tables were reserved (on a Sunday evening). He replied that 50% of the tables were reserved. We then immediately left and looked for another restaurant."

Food good, beer delicious. But unfortunately the service was subpar. If you hadn't almost stood in the way of the waiter, he wouldn't have come to the table.

Hip meeting place for a primarily younger crowd with good food and unobtrusive service. A little loud at times but pleasant and comfortable throughout.

A really nice atmosphere with friendly service. However, the food could be a little better. Fries were rather thin, limp McDonald's fries, there was no side salad with the schnitzel (unusual in my opinion) and unfortunately the food was too expensive for that. The home-brewed beer, however, is great.

A great restaurant with friendly service, excellent food and a wonderful ambience. Definitely worth a visit! We were at Barfüsser on a Sunday evening, which was very well attended. Despite the full restaurant, the service was consistently friendly and the venison goulash with cheese pätzle was a poem! Very high praise, we would love to come back!!

Ich war das erste Mal hier im Barfüßer, das Personal war freundlich, aber leider war der Service nichts besonderes. Wenn Gäste bis zu 25 min. warten müssen und die Servicekraft mehrmals am Tisch vorbei läuft und das Winken der Gäste nicht bemerkt, das finde ich als Gast nicht so toll. Als Servicekraft verdiene ich hiermit mein Geld. Das Essen war gut.

Der Abend war zwar sehr nett und entspannt. Das Essen ist allerdings versalzen und die Knödel sind extrem kompakt. Wir mussten sehr lange warten bis wir bestellen konnten. Ein Getränk und ein Essen wurden nicht geliefert.

Beim Burger fehlte dies mal der Salat und beim Salat war etwas wenig Dressing draus.

Just worth a visit, we always come from Cologne and it's always worth it

We were on vacation in the region and the restaurant was recommended to us. The ambience and service were good. The food was negative. We would have expected more from the food. The schnitzel is just as good in any fast food joint.

I've been to the Barfüsser brewery in Reutlingen twice and unfortunately I was disappointed both times. The prices are completely excessive for the quality offered. The price-performance ratio is not right at all. The burger bun was rubbery, not fresh at all and tasted like a reheated frozen product. The patty was also disappointing - for almost €20 you would definitely expect something different. The schnitzel wasn't fresh either, but also seemed like a finished product. One thing is certain for me: that was my last visit. Price and quality are disproportionate and I cannot recommend the restaurant.

War ein super schöner Abend. Es war gut besucht und trotzdem kam das Essen sehr schnell. Gemütliches Ambiente und sehr netter Service. Waren sehr zufrieden.

We've been here several times in the past and yesterday we've been meaning to go out to eat again for a long time. There were 11 of us in total. The reception was okay at first, but the table still had to be cleaned when we arrived, despite a reservation. When we were seated the drinks arrived in a reasonable time. Quite the opposite to the food, which was overall a disaster! But one thing at a time: - The waiting time was far too long, despite the restaurant being half full - Our food arrived at the table completely lukewarm - Children at the table should get something first and not last - The onion roast was supposed to be medium rare, but it was almost done - The chicken breast was super chewy - The Brauhaus burger for €20 was tiny - The children's gravy and cream sauce were so disgustingly artificial that no child wanted to eat them So we had now had a really poor meal, so off to the toilet… A broken toilet seat, an overflowing urinal and a broken sink ended the evening. Unfortunately, it was probably our last visit to a formerly good restaurant.

Wir haben unseren reservierten Tisch freundlich zugewiesen bekommen. Leider fanden wir den Tisch ungereinigt vor, d.h. der Tisch war voller Brötchenkrumen. Da sich das Personal nicht darum kümmerte, nahmen wir die Reinigung selbst in die Hand mit einem Papiertuch. Die Getränke samt dem Essen wurden schnell serviert. Die Speisen waren lecker und reichhaltig. Schade dass die Sauberkeit in diesem Restaurant ein Problem darstellt.

Great place! Went there with friends for the first time and I was thrilled. The food was very good! Service made everything possible. The only downside was that it was a little noisy.

Edit January 5, 2025: Unfortunately nothing has changed from my last review. Instead of meeting high customer frequency with the appropriate staff density, the operator lets the few (always the same) people push themselves to the limit (literally!), which is detrimental to the quality of service. It's a shame for what is actually a good concept, as it unfortunately leaves a bad aftertaste. Review by 02/12/2023: Even though I think the ambience is cool and the food is delicious, they no longer seem to rely on pick-up customers despite the appropriate advertising. There is no other way to explain to me why this company publishes its telephone number on the Internet and on the menu when no one feels responsible for the telephone on a Sunday evening (February 12, 2023) around 6:10 p.m. - 6:20 p.m. And because the ringing was probably perceived as annoying, the device was apparently quickly set as if it were busy. Result thanks to automatic redialling: 55 (!) unsuccessful attempts. Are pick-up customers perhaps second-class customers here?

Restaurant mit schönem Ambiente und gutbürgerlicher Küche mit eigenem Bier. Es werden auch vegetarische Alternativen angeboten, die so in anderen Brauhäusern nicht vorhanden sind. Die Flammkuchen sind gut belegt und lecker. Auch die Burger mit Laugen-Bun sind empfehlenswert. Insgesamt werden die Speisen ansprechend dargeboten und sind schmackhaft. Wir waren mit 12 Personen vor Ort. Durch die hohe Auslastung war es etwas laut und die Kommunikation erschwert. Die Bestuhlung war etwas eng.

Questo è locale è veramente bello! Io e il mio ragazzo siamo stati a cena il 31 Dicembre. Io ho ordinato una Rumpsteak con patatine fritte e burro alle erbe al prezzo di €28,90. Purtroppo il personale aveva capito che la cottura fosse stata ben cotta, però è stato così gentile da rifarmene una nuova. Il mio ragazzo ha ordinato un piatto di Venison Gulash al prezzo di €23,90. Abbiamo diviso una porzione di Münchner Weibwürste al prezzo di €8,90. Prezzi un po’ alti, qualità del cibo discreta. Abbiamo atteso tanto per essere sparecchiati e purtroppo non ci hanno chiesto nemmeno se volessimo il dessert.

Six of us had dinner at Barfüsser on January 1st, 2025. Unfortunately that was very disappointing. 2 meals arrived immediately after ordering. The drinks that were ordered at the same time didn't arrive until much later, after asking twice. The dishes we first ordered were now lukewarm and lightly seasoned. We couldn't eat together as a group. Everything is going much better. It's a shame, because the ambience is right

Large portines, delicious food and friendly service.

Great gastronomy, even though it was full to the last seat, we were served courteously. The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was completely ok.

Dining on new year day with family, unfortunately we had a really poor experience with our waiter who made us feel extremely unwelcome. After the initial order we were served the food and drinks. There was a bit of muttering on his side and after that he would not even if we wanted another drink or take an order for desert. With all the polite attempts being ignored I had to pay on the bar after being made by the same person to wait again. Sadly I could only assume we were treated this way not being locals and it really left a bad taste after what would be otherwise a nice trip to Reutlingen from London to celebrate NY.

Very nice and cozy restaurant. The in-house beer is highly recommended, as is the food. Perfect service and very short waiting times.

We had reserved a table at 8:30 p.m. and the food was really good, but one big annoyance marred the evening: dessert was no longer served after 9:10 p.m. Especially on New Year's Eve, it should be ensured that guests who are seated at this time can easily enjoy all courses - starter, main course and dessert. This should be standard.

Nice, tasty, but in my opinion the portions are more suitable for small appetites.

A very good restaurant, which, if the service was not slow (we waited 25 minutes for someone to ask us for our drinks and over 40 minutes for our meals after ordering), would simply be a 5 star everywhere. The dishes were excellent: hot, substantial & well presented. Smiling staff, although their English to communicate is not the most perfect. Overall, a good experience, hope they employ more people!

Leider waren unsere Essen kalt bis lauwarm…der Kellner hat es dann ohne Probleme getauscht. Geschmacklich waren jedoch die Spätzle sehr fade, der Flammkuchen leider auch nicht wirklich toll. Pommes zum Schnitzel waren auch kalt aber das Schnitzel selbst war gut.

Was there with colleagues for the Christmas party. Food was great. Had duck breast and it was so delicious. Will visit you again.

Food is not good value for money, but generally tastes good.

Erstmal muss ich dazu sagen, dass wir schon öfters dort waren, aber so wie es gestern war, da kann ich max 1 Stern geben. Wir haben auf unser Essen über eine Stunde gewartet. Dann war es nich mal richtig heiß sonder lauwarm. Zu dem waren in den Kaiserschnarrn meiner Tochter Haare drin. Die sahen aus wie Hundehaare. Das Gericht wurde ohne Probleme ausgetauscht, aber wieder mit Wartezeit verbunden. Die Toiletten waren auch nicht wie gewohnt. Es war kein Toilettenpapier drin, dreckiges Papier auf dem Boden. Was uns auch gestört hat, dass viele Gäste mit Hunden da waren, die immer wieder gebellt haben. Gegenüber von uns saß eine Frau mit einem Hund auf dem Schoß und der Hund hat die ganze Zeit auf dem Tisch rumgeleckt. Ich weiß dass die Tische immer danach oberflächlich gereinigt werden, aber an den Seiten gar nicht. Und wenn man sich das dann überlegt, dass man an so einem Tisch sitzt, an dem vorher ein Hund rumgeleckt war, dann vergeht das Essen. Personal war klasse, da gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Ob ich da jetzt das nächste Mal hingehe, muss ich mir ganz gut überlegen. Denn ca. 100€ kann man auch woanders investieren. Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Apparently everything was reserved, but it was half past four in the afternoon and half the shop was and remained empty. Service really left a lot to be desired, food was more quantity than quality and beer was just as good/bad as anywhere in Swabia. Once there was enough.

War sehr lecker in einem tollen Ambiente. Der Salat könnte besser sein. War stellenweise nicht mehr ganz frisch. In einen Beilagensalat bitte keinen Mais zufügen.

An excellent combination between Brewery and Gastronomy. High quality beers always well drawn and served (be sure to check out the Winterbier). The dishes - typical of the region - are delicious.

Bedienung ganz schlimm. Sachen vergessen, gestresst und unhöflich. Habe 460€ liegen lassen und wir wurden rausgeworfen. Für das Trinkgeld kam nicht mal ein Dankeschön.

Passend zur Weihnachtszeit gab es auch extra traditionelle Weihnachtsgerichte. Uns hat der Hirschgulasch und die Ente sehr gut geschmeckt. Bedingt durch die Vor-Weihnachtszeit war viel Betrieb bei Barfüßler, trotzdem klappte der Service schnell und freundlich und das Essen war auch sehr gut und schnell verfügbar. Besonders hervorzuheben sind auch die sauberen Toilettenanlagen und eine ebenerdige Behindertentoilette, einfach mustergültig. Zuletzt sollte das hausgebraute Bier hervorgehoben werden, daß sehr schmackhaft ist. Eine Besonderheit war der Bierpunsch, eine leckere Erfahrung.

The four of us were at Barfüßler Reutlingen yesterday and had, among other things: Ordered Maultaschen and meatballs. Both are terrible (filling tasteless and indefinable) and have nothing to do with meat or Swabian food. After 3/4 of an hour, we hadn't finished the drinks and had just swallowed the last bite, the waitress came to us and told us we had to leave now and wait for the next guests. We had paid €120 and were essentially thrown out. When we looked at the bill, we later realized that one beer had been overcharged. Never this place again!!!! We wanted to have a nice, cozy birthday dinner and were only fed up with poor quality in all areas for expensive money! As many guests as possible bring a lot of money.

We often had to wait a long time for the staff, there was no all-round view from the staff. The atmosphere was rustic, cozy, and the food was very, very good!

The steak was chewy, the beer excellent. However, the service did not come close to the expected standard. The restaurant was nowhere near full, but the waiter told us shortly after bringing out the food that he needed our table in 15 minutes. He was neither nice nor did he apologize for it. We would have drunk more beer, eaten dessert. Not so. By the way, the place is very beautiful and cozy, but next time we will go somewhere else.

Food: Onion roast with fresh steamed onions. The others were also happy with chestnut soup and steamed dumplings. Salad, dumplings with mushrooms. Service: friendly. attentive Ambiance: I personally liked it very much.

Ordered takeaway for the first time as we had already eaten in the restaurant on site and it was very tasty. We had an onion roast and the Brauhaus burger with lye bun. The same thing we had in the restaurant. Unfortunately the quality really wasn't good. The burger tasted almost exclusively of the cheese and the bun. The meat was grilled to death and dry, so the only thing that helped was the burger sauce, but €20 for a burger of this quality is absolutely outrageous. The onion roast was cold when we got home, even though it was only a 4-5 minute drive. I know it so differently. It was completely riddled with tendons, which is why I had to throw half of it away, which is a shame. However, fries were very good, hence 2/5 stars. It was definitely the last time I bought something there at this price. Just disappointing.

Leider ging unsere Reservierung daneben. 20 Personen an verschiedenen Tischen anstatt an einen, dadurch konnte man sich nicht richtig unterhalten. Auf Anfrage ob es Möglichkeiten gibt die Tisch Situation zu ändern wurde man sehr unfreundlich angepampt. Leider wurden wir auch dementsprechend bedient. Während die einen ihre Getränke bereits hatten, haben die anderen noch nicht mal bestellt, das wurde erst möglich nach dem man eine Bedienung suchte. Leider lief es beim Essen fast gleich ab. Aber man darf auch gern erwähnen, daß Essen war gut.

The home brewery is absolutely world class!!! We went for lunch and had great food. The beers are all top. Especially the dark beer was great. The service was top and very well informed. We took plenty of beer, mulled beer and liqueur with us. We'll definitely be back!!!

Online Reservierung für 12 Personen und Online Änderung auf 15 Personen haben sehr gut geklappt. Leider kam die Bestätigung der Änderung etwas spät. Telefonisch nicht erreichbar, das ist der einzige Kritikpunkt. Sonst perfekt, jederzeit wieder.

Delicious food and excellent beer.

The atmosphere is fantastic, with plenty of space for guests to relax and enjoy. They offer a great selection of craft beers, including tastings, which is a big plus! The prices are reasonable by German standards, and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff was hardworking and very friendly, making the experience even better. Highly recommend this place!
