The food was authentic and delicious. However, having the restroom located outside was a significant inconvenience, especially in winter, as it required going out just to wash my hands.

they literally looted us. Took so much extra. Our bill was 474 and they took 500 plus taxes from us. No explanations. Literally fluked us this isn’t how you work in germany. Stupid Indians always trying to take advantage and loot whenever possible. We were a huge group.

We ordered fish curry, paratha, and a few other dishes. Everything except the paratha was terrible.

Very tasty food. Only recommended for pickup with reservations. The stated times are NEVER met. You should always allow an extra 15-30 minutes (quoted 40 minutes, more likely 55-70 minutes). If you have the time to eat in or wait for your pickup, you'll get very tasty food.

Very good Indian Food place. Loved the appetizers, mains, drinks and desserts. Service is fast and hosts are very friendly.

Great South Indian food, super thalis!

The food tasted like nothing, arrived 50 minutes late, lots of rice, hardly any vegetables, barely any cheese (2 pieces in the dish), and no requests were accommodated. When I arrived, I was yelled at for not opening the front door—despite the 50-minute delay!!!—well, if they had rang my doorbell instead of my neighbor's, I would have opened it. And all that for €35.

Great biryani and dosa place ,highly recommend for party order, recently we ordered from them twice for 10 and 16 people they provided best quality food. Our guest still keep asking for the address as they can't forget the taste.

We saw this restaurant by chance while visiting Walldorf recently. Please don't judge the restaurant based on it's simple location - the food is simply WOW! The dishes (vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian) from South India are outstanding in taste and authenticity, and very reasonably priced too. Next time, we will try out the north Indian dishes and post photos of the delicious food 😁

i have missed authentic indian food. everything from mango lassi to chai to dosa to the steamed cake (on Saturday) to tandoori to curry was perfect. will be my go-to dosa/curry spot now. so glad to have come across it.

I recently enjoyed an exceptional meal at Banana Leaf - South Indian Cuisine in Waldorf. My meal, which included roti, dal, chawal (rice), mixed vegetable curry, raita, and chicken curry, was truly outstanding. Each dish featured distinct and delicious flavors, and the quality of the food was superb. Hands down, this is the best Indian cuisine I’ve experienced in Waldorf. The service was impeccable. The staff was remarkably friendly and dedicated to ensuring an enjoyable experience.

Finally, some good Indian food you can order! I was very satisfied with the Pepper Chicken, the Chicken 65, and the Butter Chicken. The meat was very juicy and flavorful. Although the delivery was a bit late, the staff called and let me know. Other restaurants could learn a thing or two from their experience. If I could give more stars, I would.

I ordered the veg thali. Highly recommend trying it. Each dish was delicious tastes . All of them were stand outs. Has to be hands down the best Indian cuisine restaurant I’ve enjoyed in food in Waldorf . Service was impeccable. Such friendly people keen to make my experience here enjoyable. One of the owner was so helpful explaining what each of the dishes were. People must try malabar chicken curry and chicken tikka . Paneer tikka ..Accepts cash and card payment

We ordered 2 dishes via the too good to go app. Was declared as a surprise bag. Unfortunately that was a nasty surprise. Lots of rice with sauce...half a potato. Nothing else. That wasn't even worth the 3.99. Absolute failure. Who normally pays €12 for this???

An absolute recommendation! The food was not only incredibly tasty, but also perfectly seasoned, every single spice note harmonized and intensified the taste wonderfully without being overpowering. I would particularly like to highlight the great service: super friendly, attentive and with genuine warmth. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. If you want to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere, this is the right place for you!

Eating too little for a bit of rice and 3-4 pieces of chicken, not seasoned..Curry was like soup not good, I didn't expect it

It very nice experience i have visited with my daugter and her collegues, they are italian, Korean and from Ugibekistan. All of us enjoyed indian food in Germany. Courteous host and good hospitality by staff.

The restaurant is basically through the back entrance. It is very simple but beautifully decorated. We were served very friendly, the menu is varied and also includes some from Sri Lankan cuisine. Unfortunately, the pakoras had a bit of a lack of taste, but they were freshly prepared. The sauces tasted very fresh. The curry was delicious, I had to add a little salt. The prices are good. We felt comfortable.

We dined here a couple of days back. The food was delicious, the waiting staff were nice. The 1 star is just for the owner, please learn how to be polite with guests, you are ruining regular customers because of such behavior. If your book keeping on orders is not proper then it's not our fault. Why are we going to lie about what we ordered and why won't we pay for the food we ate. If the waiting staff and all of us clearly mentioned how many cups of tea we ordered, how can we all be wrong and you alone can be correct? If you are running a customer facing business please learn how to be polite.

We ordered vegetarian food menu for our home function. All the dishes were really nice and it was like home made. The quantity was sufficient. From kids to adults, everybody enjoyed the food. Highly recommend!! We would love to order it again for any functions.

The owners are super polite. However, the service is very slow and feels painfully unorganised. Additionally, for the quantity of starters they serve, I don't think it's value for money. Sweets from here was a big disappointment for me. Glad that we now have other better 'authentic Indian' restaurants in the vicinity.

Food OK. Prices okay. Lots of vegan options 👍🏻 There are much better Indian restaurants IMO. Ambiance is a disaster, in my opinion. Going to the toilet before eating - the toilet is outside - spoiled my appetite a bit.

I ordered catering service from Banana leaf for a small house party on a Sunday. Everything was just perfect. The food was delivered on time. Each and every item was prepared meticulously with authentic South Indian flavors. The food was even served in proper buffet pots along with gas burners to keep the food warm. All my friends were thoroughly impressed. This is truly a Jem of a restaurant for South Indian food.

South Indian food is totally worth it but would never try the North Indian delicacies again. Dosa and Uttapam were superb but Paneer Tikka, Paneer Tikka masala, and chapatis were the worst.

Food is ok. Some of the dishes are nice I will say overall ok ok. Since there is no other restaurant near sap. If you are craving for Indian food you can give it a try.

The food is delicious. More in quantity. I had a breakfast combo, which was quite heavy. I would definitely recommend trying this combo. If you live in Heidelberg, it would take an hour to reach this place by bus.

We drove over 60 Km to visit this restaurant to try them out and it was absolutely worth it. The food was very delicious and authentic. The value for money is impeccable. The service was the main highlight. They staff was very polite and treated us as family. Went above and beyond to accommodate us and even gave us complementary food. Absolutely recommend. We will visit everytime we can. I was even cosidering getting a job in Waldorf and moving there to eat here everyday 😅

You also get real spicy food dishes there. Went there already the second time.

Wurden durch Bekannte auf dieses eher unscheinbare aber tolle indische Restaurant aufmerksam. Nicht nur das Essen, sondern einfach alles ist sehr authentisch. Geschmacklich war es wie in Süd Indien nur (zum Glück) nicht ganz so scharf. Portionen sind groß und wir wurden noch während dem Essen mit frischem gebackenem Naan versorgt. Preis-Leistung ist absolut gerechtfertigt. Eine klare Empfehlung in Sachen authentisch exotisches Essen👍🏼

Best palak paneer I've had in years. Perfect level of spice. My wife and kids loved the thalis (veg, chicken, lamb).

We frequently visit this place. The South Indian dishes are amazing and quantity is better than most of the Indian restaurants in this area. Dosas, Dum Biriyani and Pepper Chicken are an absolute go. Being Indian, the spice level suits me pretty well.

Good authentic South Indian taste. Masala Dosa was very tasty and the filling (bhaji) was awesome. Somehow, I think the dal thickens a bit too much in Germany, so the Sambar was pretty thick, but taste was good, would have liked a few pieces of drumsticks,though! Commendable effort by enterprising women!! Kudos!!

Wir haben das erste mal bei Banana Leaf bestellt und abgeholt - daher kann ich nichts zum Service sagen - nur dass es nicht das letzte mal gewesen ist :-) Das Butter Chicken war mega lecker und die sämige Sosse hatte auch einen Hauch Kardamon. Das vegane Kottu Roti war scharf, aber unglaublich lecker. Selten etwas so leckeres gegessen. Das Gemüse hatte Biss.

Ewig gewartet, dannach das Gericht wurde verbrannt und mussten weitere 20 min warten. Es hat aber gut geschmeckt.

Riesen Auswahl, leckeres Essen, guter Service. Zum Ambiente: ich hab mich gefühlt wie auf meinen Backpackerreisen durch Asien vor 25 Jahren. Insofern sehr authentisch. Mir hat es gefallen, halt viel Plastik und das Umfeld ist halt ein Industriegebiet😉

Food is really good, We ordered Masala dosa, Idli and veg thali. Loved it. If you're fond of Masala dosa, then it is must try. Good atmosphere and friendly Staff.

Besuch an einem Samstag Mittag, das Restaurant war knapp zur Hälfte belegt und es waren ausschließlich indische Gäste, was schon mal ein sehr gutes Zeichen war und darauf hoffen ließ, dass hier möglichst wenig „europäisiert“ gekocht wird. So war es denn auch und das Essen war super lecker und authentisch. Preislich kein Sonderangebot, aber für die Qualität geht das absolut in Ordnung! Der Service war ebenfalls tadellos.

Visited for the first time. Had a take away yesterday, Veg fried rice and Gobi Manchurian. Vegetables in the fried rice were raw and no salt to proportion. Gobi Manchurian was ok. Of course, will try some other dish some other time !

Discriminatory approach felt. Menu is incorrect regarding curries available for thalli. But they don’t mention this whole ordering. Couple of curries were missing.

Super Laden! Toller Sitzbereich auch im hinteren Teil. Das Essen war grandios, sehr authentisch und lecker (wie ich das von anderen indischen Freunden kenne). Sehr zu empfehlen auch der authentische, indische Chai nach dem Essen (Zucker wird extra dazugereicht, unbedingt beide Zuckerwürfel reinmachen) :) ein echter Geheimtipp würde ich sagen.

Das indische Essen in diesem Restaurant ist einfach unglaublich! Es ist authentisch zubereitet und durch die offene Küche kann man bei der Zubereitung zuschauen. Ich war sehr überrascht, dass ich in Deutschland so ein hervorragendes indisches Essen genießen konnte - besonders das Tikka Masala war ein Traum! Obwohl das Restaurant selbst nicht besonders schön ist, ist es definitiv das beste indische Essen, das ich in Deutschland in einem Restaurant gegessen habe. Die Verkaufspreise sind in Ordnung. Das Essen ist auf jeden Fall eine kleine Reise nach Waldorf wert und ich empfehle, es auszuprobieren.

Imbiss-Küche im SAP-Gebiet mit sehr leckerem und authentischem südindischen Essen. Ich bin sehr froh, daß es das Banana Leaf in Walldorf gibt - für mich das BESTE indische Restaurant in Deutschland (und ich war mehrfach in Indien, ich weiss so ungefähr, wie es schmecken sollte)... Die Betreiberinnen - 2 indische Mütter aus Walldorf (die Ehemänner sind wohl bei SAP) mit einem indischen Koch - kochen jede Tag verschiedene Gerichte, z.B. Currys, Thalis, Biryanis und sehr, sehr gute (Masala) Dosas. Wer unverfälschte indische Gerichte - auch die vegetarischen Varianten - mag, wird sich hier sehr wohl fühlen! Achtung: es ist z.T. sehr authentisch scharf! :-)
