Nice but somewhat run-down atmosphere, service was unusually short and involved a long wait, but overall friendly. Overall, quite shabby sanitary facilities, the door to the kitchen proclaims a similar picture behind it. We ordered from the lunch menu, which unfortunately resulted in a correspondingly small portion at an attractive price. Food tasted very good! Some of the plates had fresh food stuck to the bottom of the plate. It was quite busy, perhaps a carelessness.

What a very nice restaurant with very tasty food. The staff is friendly and good service. The food is very tasty and served in a beautiful way, which also offers the opportunity to share with the people at the table. The atmosphere is very nice, quiet but cozy, and completely decorated in style. Price-quality ratio is really great! Recommended to go.

There are a lot of vegetarian options and most of them can also be prepared VEGAN. Pakistani food is truly something special and incredibly delicious. My vegan friends and I enjoy eating here and now regularly.

Honestly the first place I’ve ever eaten Pakistani food in Europe and it tasted like home !!! As a West Indian I will always come back to eat here ! Finally found a little piece of home in Hamburg ! I have been to Pakistan several times for work and the food here impressed me. Very authentic cuisine and absolutely delicious that's why 5 stars. Everyone was excited. For me, the atmosphere could be a little brighter and more modern. On the other hand, it is probably deliberately kept this way because the furnishings etc. are supposed to give a feeling of the Orient. At least that's my interpretation. But it could be invested again. If you value good food rather than great furnishings, this is the place for you. Price performance absolutely fair.

The start set the tone. The papadums were just sticky, the mint sauce served with them as well as the raita were almost tasteless, the salad was unimaginative, the main course was more like hospital food. In the vegetarian dish with Indian cheese there were 8 pieces of cheese the size of baby fingernails. If I had wanted spices on the food, I would have had to say so beforehand - 🤔 but why am I going out for Indian food?! Conclusion: a good Indian for people who don't like Indian food. There has to be one too.

Very dissatisfied! After the owner wanted to sit us right next to the door, I asked if we could sit a little further. He denied this on the grounds that a larger group should come - no larger group came during the entire time and the entire area remained empty. The owner stood next to us the whole time when there was nothing to do and just waited for us to order, for us to eat and for us to leave - felt very watched. We were practically still eating when he came and immediately asked if he could take everything with him. He didn't say much though. Everything fell apart. Overall felt very uncomfortable. Food was ok.

Great little Indian in Hamburg. We've been a few times now and they are always obliging for a vegan pallet. If you ask them to, they will pretty much make anything vegan for you. Great taste, the decor is amazing and it has a good atmosphere. The only down side is that the waiters can be a little disinterested and could be a little bit friendlier and more engaged. But that would never stop me going there for their great food.

Unfortunately, the food at Baluchi wasn't that great. The dishes were a bit bland and the service was slow.

Wonderfully cozy restaurant. You can sit at European tables or at the traditional flat tables on the floor. Friendly crew, the food is always incredibly tasty (be sure to try the papadums and churneys!) and the prices are more than fair.

I went for dinner with some friends. We ordered chicken chana karahi, palak paneer, with some roti. The gravy dishes selection includes basmati rice. We also tried their gulab jamun as a dessert which is also good.

Lecker aber man sollte es nicht eilig haben. Das Essen entspricht in der Qualität einem guten Inder. Der Service ist ok, nur es kann dauern. Wir kommen nur wieder wenn wir viel Zeit haben.

Wir waren an einem Sonntag spontan zum Abendessen dort und waren sehr positiv überrascht. Das von außen recht unscheinbare Restaurant war sehr gemütlich und stielvoll eingerichtet und dekoriert, es lud zum verweilen ein. Das Essen war fantastisch und die Preise sind für Hamburger Verhältnisse angemessen. Meine Partnerin hatte Mango-Chicken Curry und ich eine scharfes Lammcurry 👍 als Vorspeise kann ich die Linsensuppe empfehlen einfach göttlich und man bekommt natürlich auch dieses leckere Papperdam mit Minzsoße zum knabbern. Ganz klare Weiterempfehlung von uns ✌️😉

Das Essen ist einfach traditionell und sehr lecker! Meistens bekommen wir sofort einen Platz. Super geeignet für die Mittagspause!

Eine wahre Freude für Gaumen und Augen. Das Restaurant ist gemütlich und fremdländisch eingerichtet, die Karte üppig und das Essen einfach großartig. Diese Geschmäcke und diese Vielfalt. Es hat großen Spaß gemacht. Die Preise sind völlig in Ordnung und der service freundlich und schnell.

Interessante Würzburg, man kann auch schärfer bestellen.

Edeles Mobiliar und schöne Wandmalerei, sehr gemütlich. Sauber und freundlich bekommt man hier lecker essen aus einer anderen welt. Ich komme auf jedenfall wieder, dafür das alles selbst gemacht wird, ist es günstig.

Tolles Essen auch vegetarisch. Das Ambiente ist authentisch. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Ich habe bei meinem ersten Besuch das Vegetarische 5 Gänge Menü mit einem Freund geteilt. Das war lecker und reichlich... Dazu eine kleine(!) Mango Lassi und ma. verlässt das Restaurant glücklich. Übrigens mit ÖPNV gut zu erreichen, ab Dammtor mit dem Bus 4 oder 5.

Sehr geschmackvoll und traditionnell eingerichtetes Restaurant. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und das Essen sehr lecker und reichlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Gerne wieder!

Das Curry selbst war okay aber unterdurchschnittlich. Der Lassi war ungenießbar und die Vorspeisenplatte geschmacklos und ölig. Selbst das Naan war hart (wie von gestern). Die Portionen waren eher klein und dafür teuer. Alles in allem würde ich dort nicht mehr essen.

Das Balutschi ist im Hamburger Studentenviertel eine feste und verlässliche Institution für exzellentes und leckeres, pakistanisches Essen, und das schon seit über 25 Jahren.

Super leckeres Essen im wunderschönen Ambiente. Unbedingt den Kräuter-Lassi probieren. Sehr empfehlenswert😊

Das Essen ist grundsätzlich lecker, jedoch sollte der Laden umbenannt werden in „indisch-pakistanisch“, da es ganz klar Gerichte gibt, die nach indischer Art zubereitet werden. Schade ist, dass alles so alt und marode wirkt - ein bisschen mehr Farben und Belichtung wäre vorteilhaft. Das Essen war aber schnell da. Man kann leider nicht mit Karte bezahlen.

Ich war heute dort zum Mittagessen. Lammspießröllchen, scharf, mit Reis & Salat, hat super geschmeckt. Der Preis war überraschend niedrig (unter 10€). Ich weiß nicht, wo man heute noch so ein gutes und frisch gekochtest Gericht zu so einem fairen Preis bekommen kann. Die Portion hat auch gestimmt. Ich wiederkommen.

Meines Erachtens bei Tripadvisor deutlich überbewertetes Restaurant. Bin häufiger bei Indern und kann sagem, dass uns das angebotene Menu nicht vom Hocker gehauem hat. Noch weniger der zumindest an dem Besuchstag griesgrämig wirkende Chef. Das Ambiente ist sehr schlicht und dunkel gehalten. i Keine besondere Empfehlung daher.

We found this jewel hidden away after 2 nights in Hamburg. What can I say the food was prepared within a reasonable time frame as there were 8 of us. The young lady that served us was polite and gave us free Pakistani tea which was amazing. The food was packaged ans once we arrived to our hotel the food was hot,had great taste and aroma and you could tell that this was prepared with genuine love and gave you that home cooked sense and taste. It made our stay over that more bearable Thank you to the chef and staff and I recommend all visit if your are passing through and want somewhere that won't let you down

The interieur is very cozy, with authentic carved wood everywhere that helps you to dive into the Eastern atmosphere. The food is even better! We tried soups and curries, and everything was delicious. The only thing that they need to change — is the horrible yellow signboard outside. For rest, it is a marvelous place.

Wir waren nach der Messe zum Abendessen hier drin. Auch ohne Reservierung hatten wir noch das Glück für 2 Personen einen Tisch in dem vollen Restaurant zu bekommen. wir hatten uns für ein Menü entschieden und wurden mit einem hervorragendem Essen zu eine super günstigen Preis voll überzeugt.

Überraschend gut. Nicht von dem kleinen Salat als Vorspeise irritieren lassen. Den können die auch weglassen, Das Paperdam-Brot war oberlecker. Die Chutneys erfrischend und die vier Hauptgerichte würzig und gut. Der Reis locker gekocht. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und es war günstig.

Kann Iden empfehlen sehr frisch ich hatte den Tandoori Lamm mit Naan sehr lecker und gut mariniert,,

Stopped here with colleagues for dinner. We shared the mixed veggie starter which was very good and came with good spicy chutney and sauces. There was a good selection of food for all. Meat was halal and there were plenty of vegetarian selections. From a British point of view, the main wasn't spicy at all, but a German colleague found her dish a little too hot. I guess it's all down to preference. All in all it was a good meal with plenty of choices for most tastes and dietary preferences.

Das hätte ich nicht erwartet. Das Restaurant liegt neben der Uni. Da erwartet man keine so hohe Qualität, sondern allenfalls etwas besserers als Mensakantinrnessen.

The fact it is located in a students' area reflects a lot on the portions (big) and price (low)! This branch can be easily reached by bus lines 4 and 5, also very easy to find! The menu is simple and practical, from fish to lamb including duck. One can choose to eat indoors (a bit dark) or outdoors (few tables). I have been to other branches and felt this one particularly lazy but would definitely consider going back!

Ich war mittags spontan im Balutschi in der Grindelallee am Martin Luther King Platz und kann das Restaurant für einen schnellen Mittagsimbiss gern empfehlen. Ich hatte Seitan in Korma Sauce mit Reis, sehr schmackhaft und gut gewürzt. Für 6,20€ auch sehr in Ordnung. Dennoch gefiel mir die Inneneinrichtung leider gar nicht. Die Orientalischen Stühle und Tische sehr alt und heruntergekommen und insgesamt wirkten die Räume sehr dunkel. Mein Kellner war leider nicht sehr motiviert, was den "verstaubten" Eindruck noch verstärkte. Vielleicht ist es in den anderen Restaurants des Balutschi anders. Für einen Mittagsimbiss würde ich wohl wiederkommen, aber für ein schönes Abendessen mit Freunden oder Familie würde ich mir ein anderes Restaurant aussuchen.

Unsere 2 Vegetarier konnten sich gar nicht entscheiden so reichlich ist die Auswahl. Auch wir Fleischesser kamen voll auf unsere Kosten. Reichlich, lecker und preiswert. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir sind als Familie dort gewesen und sind alle total begeistert. Vor allem für Vegetarier gibt es in der Speisekarte eine sehr große Auswahl. Mein Mann hat sich sehr darüber gefreut. Alles war mega lecker. Wir würden sofort wieder hingehen. Und als Tipp am Rande: Essen Nr. 55 schmeckt wie ein warmes Ferrero Rocher. Wer das also mag ist mit diesem Gericht auf der sicheren Seite.

Siamo andati con un gruppo di amici di venerdì sera, senza prenotazione, dopo che negli altri locali della zona non abbiamo trovato posto. La cucina pakistana è interessante. Il menu è vastissimo; l'unica pecca è che è soltanto in tedesco e le foto presenti non consentono di orientarsi. Abbiamo preso un piatto unico con riso e agnello da condire con uno yogurt e uno spezzatino servito in una coppa di ferro con una candela alla base per tenere caldo il cibo; presentazione molto particolare.
