Right next to the dike, this place has a perfectly calm and peaceful atmosphere. The staff was always, always friendly. We ordered soup and a fried fish sandwich, both were delicious. Highly recommended!

We went to Stromgold because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The food was lukewarm, the fried potatoes were uncooked, and the onions and bacon were burnt. When we complained, we were told the bill would be €95. Thanks for nothing, it's not worth going there.

This Hallig is a unique place, as is the special story of its former resident, Countess Diana von Reventlow, which can be read in the fascinating book THE COUNTESS by Irma Nelles. A quaint inn with a wide variety of offerings, including delicious freshly baked cakes, but all of this is only available to guests who are traveling with the Wadden Coachmen on the highly recommended and informative carriage ride through the mudflats. We were particularly lucky today – late summer weather with a bright blue sky...

I wish we had filtered the reviews before our visit and read the management's responses to the negative ones… During our visit, she reacted exactly the same way: She came to our table with a plate that had already been cleared, hadn't been finished (but also hadn't been complained about), and wanted to know who had left it and why it hadn't been eaten. She wasn't interested in the answer at all. Instead, she launched into a tirade in the style of the review responses. The highlight was her statement: If we wanted bad food, we should eat at home.

Very friendly service. Very good food. Definitely make a reservation. The food was really hot! The pork cheeks and cod were great. Dessert: The creme brulee could be improved. No berries on top so the spoon test works. We'll be happy to come back.
