Balkania in Dortmund

I have been a customer at Salvatore for years. Firstly, his wife and Salvatore are wonderful, nice people. You are warmly welcomed and the food is super tasty and fresh, and is made in traditional Italian style. The pizzas are not put in molds in the oven, so the pizzas are a nice size and taste super delicious 🤤 I can only recommend this pizzeria if you are ever in Dortmund Mengede and want to eat delicious food then go to Salvatore 👍

We ate “across the board” with 9 people. Even though it was quite loud in the room at times, it was a very nice group event. The portions are sometimes tiny, but it is still a challenge to finish all the courses. A new order is only accepted when everyone has finished eating, so that meals and breaks alternate in quick succession and there is always time to talk (even if the intervals in the middle part could have been shorter). The different courses were very varied, including salad, soup, fish, venison goulash and pasta, and delicious. We sat for a good four hours and were all very satisfied. 🙂

Great, fresh food at absolutely reasonable prices. Hand-tapped and top pan schnitzel (2 each) in various variations including fresh salad and side dish (fries, fried potatoes, potatoes) including ketchup, mayonnaise for around 15 euros. Currently also 2 game dishes. And all of this in the context of an externally classic restaurant including a bowling alley. Reserving a table is not that easy given the overall package.

The food is really very tasty. I can't complain at all here. I have been a guest at Athos several times and have never experienced anything that wasn't excellent in terms of taste. My special thanks go to Babis, who continually pays attention to and responds to the needs and satisfaction of his guests. PS: Today we will be guests there again.
