We ordered food for pickup. The service was extremely friendly and the food tasted great!

First time here. Very friendly service, pleasant atmosphere, and what can I say, the food didn't take long to arrive – it was delicious.

We've been coming here for over 30 years. The food is excellent, the service is always friendly, and everything's always quick! We've been coming to the Balkan Hut for over 40 years now. My wife and I celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary on June 24, 2025, and had a wonderful meal. Thanks to the family. We always feel at home at the Balkan Hut.

We were there for the first time this week. Conclusion: This Balkan restaurant really knows how to make schnitzel!!! The meat is very thin, with a golden-brown coating, and it tastes exactly like the first Yugoslavian experience 30 years ago. It doesn't get any better than this, and in my opinion, it won't get any better in the future (that is, when these owners retire in a few years). Very good prices too; schnitzel with fries and salad costs €16. A beautiful dining room and friendly owners. We'll be back!!! Thank you!

We have been guests there on and off for decades. The restaurant is not particularly large, but is spread over two floors and is very comfortably furnished. The hosts are very friendly, attentive, but at times lovingly reserved, which we really like. The table reservation worked out perfectly over the phone; we called spontaneously at 6 p.m. and got a table for 7:15 p.m. A friendly welcome, and even though you haven't been there for several years, you feel like you're well known there. We were given a table straight away, which was reserved (although we've had different experiences in other restaurants), and were given the menu straight away, which is very clear. In addition to Balkan dishes, they also offer salads, vegetarian dishes, soups, and schnitzel. What I personally really like is that they pay close attention to when you're ready to order. As a "greeting" from the kitchen, there's a baguette with homemade herb butter, followed by a mixed salad. We ordered Stroganov strips with rice and chicken skewers with fries and rice. Both were delicious and plentiful. I've known the Balkan Hut since the 1980s and am always impressed by the impeccable friendliness and quality of the food. We definitely recommend it.

The restaurant has flair. The service was super nice and friendly. The food was very spicy, which we liked, but you have to like it. Feel free to leave out the arugula on the meal, it doesn't have to be. The portion was OK, but it could have been a little more. Conclusion: Recommended, we look forward to visit 2

Ambiance was really cool with the 2 floors, food was also really tasty. I prefer the food with a little more roasted flavor and I found the portion of tzatziki a bit small for the price. The service was incredibly friendly, not intrusive and very quick, which I particularly liked.

The restaurant is a bit hidden and we only came across it through a recommendation. The restaurant was very busy and almost all tables were reserved. There are some free parking spaces behind the house. The food tasted good, the portions weren't as generous as you would expect, and the prices were moderate. However, we have never eaten from plastic plates in any restaurant. I don't want to judge it any further, but personally I found it unusual. So far, with everything that goes with it, we have never been out of a restaurant after 75 minutes. It was a bit like being on an assembly line. What was missing was the obligatory digestive schnapps that you get everywhere else. The offer was not available here. Nonetheless, if you like Yugoslavian cuisine, Balkan Hut is worth a visit.

I'll keep it short and sweet. The homemade herb butter is a poem. The salad in different flavors was surprising and also very tasty. The main course was also very good. The staff was friendly, but a smile every now and then wouldn't have hurt. The only thing missing here is the aperitif. It's a shame, 5 stars anyway

Wir waren gestern wieder einmal in der Balkanhütte essen. Obwohl das Lokal sehr gut besetzt war , wurden wir schnell und freundlich bedient. Das Essen war wie i m m e r vorzüglich.

Total nette und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Portionen haben satt gemacht und die Wartezeiten waren völlig in Ordung. Kommen gerne wieder!

Der Besitzer des Ortes ist Dieb und Lügner. Wir bestellten gegrilltes Schweinefleisch, statt Schweinefleisch brachte er uns Hühnchen (und nicht gegrillt, sondern in einer Pfanne gebraten).

Gutes vom Grill, ganz toller frischgeschnittener Salat. Dessert auch gut. Ein schöner Abend. Wir wurden sehr nett bedient und ist auf Wünsche eingegangen.

Wir wären fast vorgefahren. Zum Glück nicht. Der Balkan Grill ist ein Geheimtipp. Super nette Bedienung und ein ganz tolles Essen. Ein sehr familiärer Betrieb. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir waren zufällig in der Ecke und wurden positiv überrascht. Der Eingang ist etwas unscheinbar, das Ambiente schlicht, aber sauber und gemütlich, familiär. Das Essen hat super geschmeckt und auch der Service war top und freundlich. Absolut stressfrei alles. Das war sicherlich nicht der letzte Besuch 👍

Super herzliche Gastgeberfamilie. Schnelle Bedienung und leckeres Essen. Leider eine relativ kleine vegetarische Auswahl, aber nun denn. Dafür waren unsere kleinen Kinder super herzlich willkommen und wir haben sehr entspannt gegessen, weil sie sich frei bewegen durften und gern gesehen waren. Wir kommen wieder.

Die Balkan Hütte ist ein super Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen mit einem guten Preis, und der Service ist erste Klasse. Es ist ein Genuss hier zu Speisen.

Essen war ok....hatten die Grillplatte. Leider hat das Grillfleisch zu lange im Warmhaltebehälter gelegen. War dadurch etwas wässrig. Die Leber war bei mir ok....bei meiner Frau noch roh. Beim bezahlen reklamiert. Die eine Grillplatte brauchten wir nicht zahlen. Sehr kulant. 👍 Kommen trotzdem wieder....nur dann keine Grillplatte 🤷‍♂️

Nicht zu empfehlen, schlechte Qualität des Essens nicht durchgebraten, und sehr abstoßend, zu fettig Frau bekam Brechreiz. Aber die Bezahlung wurde ohne Rückzahlung des Restbetrages angenommen. Zu Ostern noch nicht einmal ein Getränk kostenlos, wo anders kein Thema, es gibt immer einen Aperitif vor dem Essen.

Wir waren heute unterwegs in und um Bremen und haben bei Google Maps nach einem Restaurant gesucht, wir sind den guten Bewertungen in dieses Lokal gefolgt und man kann nur sagen einfach klasse. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht, dafür war die Geräuschkulisse trotzdem angenehm. Es ist sehr gemütlich, da es nicht so groß ist. Das Essen war wirklich super, perfekt gewürzt, das Fleisch sehr gut auf den Punkt gegrillt. Wir bedanken uns recht herzlich :-)
