Wohl das leckerste Schnitzel was ich jemals gegessen habe. Total süßes Ambiente, schnelle Bedienung, am Sonntag Abend nicht voll.

Wir waren im Zuge einer Oldtimer Rallye zu Gast und wir wurden super herzlich empfangen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service war ebenfalls sehr gut. Sowohl der Besitzer, als auch die Bedienungen gaben uns das Gefühl, als würde man sich ewig kennen, was unser Wohlbefinden natürlich gesteigert hat. Gerne wieder! :)

Ich besuche dieses Restaurant von Anfang an und bin jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Das Essen ist einfach hervorragend, besonders die saisonale Karte, die immer wieder frische, regionale Produkte hervorhebt. Man merkt, dass der Koch sein Handwerk versteht und mit Leidenschaft dabei ist. Absolut empfehlenswert! Auch besondere Abend und Veranstaltungen finden immer mal wieder statt.

Das Schnitzel hat wirklich gute Qualität, der Beilagensalat war gut durchdacht und wirklich gut angemacht. Die Rinderbäckchen waren zart und geschmacklich sehr gut. Die Menge war nicht zu viel, aber auch nicht zu wenig. Perfekt um noch einen Nachtisch zu essen. Das creme bruleé und die brownies sind auch nur zu empfehlen. Der Service war sehr direkt, professionell und freundlich. Das Essen kam schnell. Preise absolut angemessen bei der Qualität. Ist definitiv einen zweiten Besuch wert.

Wir sind mit 10 Personen hier, das Ambiente ist super. Hier ist es schön ruhig. Man kann sich super unterhalten. Der Kellner ist immer für einen da und versucht alle wübsche zu erfüllen. Das Essen ist exzellent! Ich hatte z.b den Lachs mit Ofenkartoffel. Der Fisch war auf den Punkt und perfekt gewürzt. Die Kartoffeln was schön weich. Für Kinder gab es auch eine extra Karte. Als dessert ein Brownie mit Vanilleeis und Pflaumenkompott. Also wir sind rundum zufrieden. Vielen Dank, wir kommen wieder!!!

Das Carpaccio ist mein Dauerbrenner, ich liebe es, es schmeckt total lecker, das rote Beete Carpaccio liebt mein Mann, der Service ist super nett und aufmerksam, die Einrichtung ist okay mit Luft nach oben! Aber wenn alles andere stimmt ist das halb so wichtig! Wir werden/sind Stammgäste geworden!!! Leider wurde das Rote Beete Carpaccio verändert statt Ziegenkäse nun Burata oben drauf, schmeckt jetzt langweilig und fad!

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit tollem Service, leckerem Essen und guter Getränkekarte. Wor waren mit 4 Personen dort und hatten Fisch-, Fleisch und vegetarische Gerichte. Alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt, die Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten ist ausbaufähig. Die Desserts sind sehr zu empfehlen, die Crème Brulée war ein Traum. Der Service ist sehr Aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend!

Für ein jährliches Treffen mit Freunden besuchten wir am Wochenende Alex Restaurant. Wir wurden zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich bewirtet. Die Gänsebrust war für mich perfekt und das Dessert super lecker. Danke für den tollen Abend, ich kommen gerne wieder.

Alex' Restaurant habe ich das erste Msl besucht und ich bin sehr zufrieden und positiv überrascht. Die freundliche angenehm unaufgeregte Atmosphäre, der Service und natürlich das Essen: Alles bestens. Ich bin Vegetarierin und habe selten ein so leckeres, und optisch liebevoll zubereitetes Menü bekommen. Alles hervorragend organisiert, bei vollbesetztem Saal... Danke für den schönen Abend!

We ate at Restaurant Alex on September 24, 2025. We enjoyed the food itself. On schnitzel day, we also had a schnitzel, which was very good quality. The mushroom cream sauce was also very well prepared. The service, however, was really not good. The waiter was quite ignorant and took a long time to serve everything. The ambiance isn't bad, but it's not good either. It's just very plain.

Wir waren am 24.09.2025 im Restaurant Alex essen. Das Essen selbst hat uns gut geschmeckt. Am Schnitzeltag haben wir natürlich auch ein Schnitzel gegessen was Qualitätlich sehr gut war. Die Champignon Rahm Sauce war auch sehr gut zubereitet. Der Service war aber wirklich nicht gut. Der Kellner war recht unwissend und hat auch sehr viel Zeit für alles benötigt. Das Ambiente ist nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht gut. Einfach sehr schlicht.

Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert war alles unglaublich lecker! Noch dazu ist der Service sehr gut und das Personal absolut zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir hatten das Restaurant vorher nicht so auf dem Schirm, kommen aber nach der heutigen Erfahrung definitiv wieder!

Gradually, more and more demands are placed on me, until I'm expected to set fixed hours and stick to them. As soon as I put the brakes on and point out to Dad and son that I still have control over myself, my time, and my labor, both quickly get offended and desperately want a break. Unfortunately, as is the case with many, people who start their own business believe they're also establishing their own dictatorship. The dream of a state within a state. I'm always shocked at how super nice people can become disgusting egotists when it comes to real equality and respect on both sides. Dad is a chameleon. Son tries to imitate him. Not a recommended location! Not good people! Only one's own advantage counts! Others can serve or die.

The food is sensationally good! The asparagus and schnitzel (with the homemade hollandaise sauce being excellent) in spring and the roast goose in winter are particularly delicious. In my opinion, you won't find anything as good as this in Göttingen.

Anyone looking for a great taste experience should dine here. Just give it a try! Highly recommended

We've been there several times 👉 and the food has always been very good and the service has always been friendly! The food and service are top-notch.

Went there for lunch and it was excellent. As a starter the asparagus cream soup, as the main course asparagus with boiled ham and asparagus with schnitzel. The hollandaise that was served with it was sensational. Very great and attentive service. Price-performance fits! The restaurant is barrier-free, so it's easy to reach with a wheelchair. We didn't have to go to the sanitary facilities, definitely on our next visit soon.

The menu is very lean, the dishes are very simple, side dishes (vegetables, salad) were not included, the large salad was very poor, the dressing and the fries were very good, the service and the greeting from the kitchen were ok.

We tried the restaurant together with friends and our children. The food was super tasty and overall the price was right. Child-friendly and dedicated service staff. We come. Definitely again, certainly more often!

Were there twice in December, the first time with 9 people on Friday schnitzel day €5 cheaper. For four people, the normal price was deducted in the billing, after a complaint the succinct statement will be deducted less next time.🤥Sure. There were 12 people there at Christmas, after an hour we were already having dessert, a table was taken away from us because the reservations were completely overbooked. And that Alex had no more free places. The food is quite good, and if you have a starter soup and an extra salad with your main course, you will be full as an adult.🤔 We won't again.

Waited in the entrance for someone to come and assign a table. It took 20 minutes at the table then after 30 minutes the waitress was called for drinks. Buffet for €50 pp. Miserable. Browned Brussels sprouts, meat too dry for the sauce, the ladle was missing, the salad buffet was held together several times. Only the dessert was good and the waitress who asked was great for it.

I ordered goose legs from Alex 6 times. Didn't work out as well as expected. 40 minutes waiting time. Legs were not crispy and only lukewarm. Packaging like in a snack bar. Brussels sprouts cold and hard. Hardly any spices. Not exactly advantageous for a restaurant. Never again.🙈🙈🙈

Were there on December 11, 2024 with a group of about 25 people. There were probably more groups there that evening. Despite ordering the food in advance, we had to wait a relatively long time for the food. The first ones in the group had already eaten 2/3 of their food when the last ones got their food. At some point we picked up side dishes from the counter ourselves. The meat part of the schnitzel was just as thin as the breading. It was probably frozen schnitzel. If you do something like that, you should also offer the schnitzel for a corresponding price. The kitchen and service were absolutely overwhelmed that evening.

Delicious food, friendly staff and nice ambience.

We ate here for the first time on Sunday. I chose the ox cheeks with celery puree and carrots. The portions are sufficient. I was full and the puree was a highlight. The ox cheek itself was also tender and delicious. The service was friendly and always attentive to the guest. Price performance is absolutely fine for me. The facility was taken over from the predecessor. Everything is a bit old now, but still OK. There are 5 stars for the food! I hope the quality remains. Then I'd love to come back!

Unfortunately the food wasn't as promised on the website. Pork fillet was fried to death, tough and also cold (plate was warm, but it didn't help), schnitzel seemed like a finished product, frozen croquettes, sauce was too salty. No trace of sophistication. Waiting time for food was 45 minutes and the restaurant wasn't even half full. The service seemed to be trying hard, but was obviously unskilled. The atmosphere inside is quite old fashioned, paper napkins. Price performance ratio is not right. The website promises a significantly higher level.

A good restaurant, asparagus tasted good. We will be back.

It really took quite a long time and you get the feeling that the priorities are placed less on taste and more on appearance, which is quite a shame considering it costs almost €30 for a main course. After all, drinks are also included. I would advise against a starter here for logistical reasons; getting 2 courses on the table in a contemporary way didn't just work for us. The dressing was missing and unfortunately there was no bread at all. I can't recommend it.

We were in the restaurant with 4 people. We ordered four different main courses. All of them tasted outstanding. The presentation of the dishes was well done. The prices are reasonable. However, the ambience in the restaurant can be improved.

Food was okay, but nothing special. Selection was very limited and prices were quite high. The side salad was unimaginative and tasteless.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't really convincing today. The waiter brings the wrong drink twice, the selection of white wines is modest, the food came in two batches several minutes apart and when a meal for €30 includes a decent steak, but only 6 half small fried potatoes and you have to order more ( which costs extra) if you're hungry... Well, that's how it works. Next time we'll go somewhere else.

We attended the opening dinner and had a nice evening where we were able to get to know the menu in the form of small portions. All in all, quite successful. Yesterday evening on Saturday we decided to visit at short notice, without a reservation, and to our delight there was still enough space. We had the stick chop and the pork tenderloin. Everything tasted good, but the portion size reminded me more of a senior's plate. Anyone who comes here with a big appetite and skips starters and dessert might be disappointed.

A great newly opened restaurant. A great chef and great staff. On today's opening day, which was even accompanied by music, everything was perfect. To celebrate the day there was a 5-course menu with some variations of the daily menu. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Closing soon due to age. Dishes prepared somewhat carelessly. Water only small bottles of 2.50 each, 0.25l.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen waren gut. Die Karte hat leider wenig bis gar keine vegetarischen Optionen was sehr schade ist. Es gibt eine Suppe oder Variationen mit Feta und Salat. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und bemüht.

Vorhänge, Fensterfront und Pflanzen bieten ein Wohlfühlgefühl. Top Essen. Es sieht am Anfang wenig aus, aber das täuscht. Wir gehen wieder hin! :-)

Super leckere Gerichte, war bisher 3 mal hier und jedes Mal war alles sehr lecker und perfekt.

Wir waren heute den 25.11.2022 hier zum Essen eingeladen. Der Balkanteller war in Ordnung. Wir waren zufrieden.

Essen gut, beim Service hatten wir den Abend das Gefühl das man schnell essen und schnell wieder verschwinden soll. Frage um 20.55 Uhr nach einem Dessert, wurde mit " die Küche schliesst um 21 uhr" abgetan. Gnädigerweise wurde dann doch noch das Dessert seviert. Auch andere Gäste waren der Meinung das man heraus komplimentiert wurde.

Etwas versteckt .Essen ist gut und der Wirt ist lustig.

Speisen haben gute Qualität und sind geschmackvoll! Die Portionen könnten für ausgewachsene Kerle etwas knapp sein. ;-) Personal ist freundlich. Größere Gruppen müssen etwas aufs Essen warten, aber es lohnt sich. Restaurant kann ruhigen Gewissens weiterempfohlen werden!

Sehr schnelle Bedienung, Essen und Getränke wurden rasch serviert. Eine tolle Alternative zum nahegelegenen Rasthof, der gerade geschlossen hatte... Mit den Kindern konnte man sehr gut draußen im Innenhof sein.
