Not just a bakery. The lunch menu is very good, the portions are filling, and the prices are absolutely reasonable for what you get.

An exemplary bakery here, craftsmanship is very important. In addition to baked goods, hot dishes are also offered. A very nice atmosphere invites you to linger. We'd love to come back.

Just a great shop/restaurant/snack bar. Everything of everything, and extremely clean and tidy. There is even a separate children's corner for the little ones. The food is plentiful, today I had a “Jäger” schnitzel. I didn't manage the portion for 15 euros, but I was able to pack the rest. And delicious too, so I recommend it. Drive or walk there and see for yourself. You won't regret it!

The food was again simply brilliant: baked potato with chicken breast strips in a spicy marinade and a delicious salad. 😋 And finally a tiramisu at its best. Our service person Caro S. was very attentive and very polite!

Despite the amount of work the employees have to do in service and sales, they are always friendly and nice. Unfortunately, there are often long waiting times at peak times, but this makes up for it after a good meal or delicious coffee and cake.

The dishes, which were freshly prepared a la minute, were simply delicious. You can tell that there is a lot of attention to detail here. The cocktails in particular, especially the Strawberry Colada, were a highlight and rounded off my evening perfectly. I would definitely like to come here again! The guest is truly valued here and that makes the visit a special experience. Thank you for the great evening!

We just wanted to take something with us when I saw that there were bee/wasp traps hanging everywhere on the terrace again. Last year the animals lay in there a few centimeters thick, attracted by, I guess, syrup. Now that the sun comes out and bees and bumblebees are looking for food, they of course fall into the trap. And the best thing of all, in front of the terrace entrance, is a lavender field (of course it's not blooming yet) and there's a beautiful sign on it that says you should pay attention to this for the little animals... I'm laughing to death when the traps are hanging 5 meters away. So Baker Schmidt, that doesn't work at all, absolute minus point. 1 star is too much!!!

Dieser Bäcker ist wirklich das allerletzte. Das erste und letzte Mal. Man ist schon überfordert wenn man rein kommt, bei diesem Chaos. Dazu noch unfreundliches Personal. Das Essen hat wirklich nicht gut geschmeckt. Vor allem das Baguette hat wie Pappe geschmeckt. Wirklich traurig für eine Bäckerei. Und dann noch unverschämt hohe Preise! Nicht zu empfehlen!

Unfortunately there was a pretty young team working at the counters/cash registers today who somehow didn't check anything that was ordered so they somehow have no idea what's on the menu. And so a salad was given away. The young staff should perhaps be trained a bit and not talk all the time when the shop is on fire. In addition, “regular customers” - family members - are apparently more likely to be served or let in even though they have been queuing for a long time.

Today we had a very nice young woman serving at the counter. Scrambled eggs were extremely bland.

If it weren't so far away, this would be our Sunday cafe. See you again Top service, very nice atmosphere and the prices are not excessive. Very, very large selection and everything of the best quality. That explains the queue of customers, everyone wanting to enjoy.

The food was delicious, but requests were not taken into account when making reservations. If you ask to get a certain seat and then in the end it is occupied and you say it has been typed in differently since you made the reservation, that's pretty cheeky. If I have a reservation I think I have the right of way. We've been here several times and it's really delicious, but we also had to wait an hour before we were asked for drinks. Significantly more staff should be hired and the service improved. However, the blonde-haired lady is always very friendly and always smiling! We'll think about coming here in the future.

We were initially denied a discount on our meal after a member of staff spilled a drink on us. After repeated discussion we received a discount of €3.

Fahren gelegentlich zum Cafe Schmidt nach Roth (wohnen in Nürnberg-Eibach) waren und sind bis jetzt immer zufrieden gewesen, Kaffee und Kuchen (große Auswahl) sehr lecker, freundliches nettes Personal. Verstehe manche negativen Bewertungen zwecks Sauberkeit, unfreundlichem Personal nicht. Kommen gerne wieder wenn wir Lust zu einem kleinen Ausflug haben. (sind Rentner).

Were there yesterday to celebrate my grandma's birthday in a small group. I ordered dessert for her in advance as a little surprise. The waiter was really very accommodating and nice. 😊 At the end he brought dessert with a small birthday candle in it. 😊 I always love going here. Heartfelt recommendation. 🤍

Every visit here is worth it. Price/performance ratio is absolutely right. However, on the weekend you have to expect to have to queue for a very long time. Therefore 3 stars for service.

Waren zum Abendessen dort und ja, würden es wieder tun! Der Wiesen-Burger war geschmacklich sehr gut, leider aber zu trocken (eine gute Soße würde ihm helfen), die Pizza aber genau so, wie sie aus dem Holzofen sein soll. Und unsere Bedienung zuvorkommend und sympathisch :)

I have some problems with the offer. I ate a flatbread and it was really good. I would actually have liked a sausage roll and one with an egg, but there isn't anything that simple in the display case.

Were in Roth for the first time today at Schmidt's, Sunday at 2 p.m., people were queuing up to buy cakes and pastries to take away, the same for the catering area, it was loud and hectic there today, not a feel-good place, more like canteen romance, the cakes, cakes and pastries were very tasty, but we were happy when we had our things and were out again. But the mass of people seems to indicate good food quality.

Bad, worse, Schmidt... There were times when things were better, much better! Been there again today for a long time. Olive stick NOT recommended! Olive Stone almost cost me my tooth! Just bad!

Waren heute 5.1.2025 um 8⁰⁰ Frühstück sehr unfreundlicher Empfang, bei Nachfrage wie es abläuft sehr pambige Antwort. Bei Semmel Körbchen nur vorgegebene Auswahl kein eigen Wunsch möglich,Cappuccino kalt und nur 80%Schaum. O Saft sehr billig und nicht gut,schinken, kässe sehr trocken/geschmack los, Blauberen extrem bitter, Marmelade extrem wenig,Salami kein Geschmack, Rührei war gut ,Jogurt igitt, auch die Semmel waren ohne biss Bei einen Gourmet frühstück für 32€ sehr enttäuscht

I forgot something and reported it immediately by phone. I was told that it had been left in the lost property and when I came back it was "lost". All lost items are in some open box and are not safe. If you forget something and want it back, you have to come back the same day!

We are campers nearby and love coming here every now and then for breakfast or a very good pizza! We know very well that we have to spend some time here - but there is quality and delicious food. The employees are always hard-working and try to do their best. Today we unfortunately had to experience how rude some guests can be! It's not possible to verbally attack the young guy behind the counter with so much anger and malice! I told the gentleman that too! (Then at least there was some peace) Decency is zero! It was just a shame for others. As I said, the staff tries their best! A little empathy wouldn't hurt! To the young employees... keep your head up! There will always be idiots! And to the management, it would be nice if you stood behind your people and had their backs! ;) On that note, Merry Christmas

great cake, I can't resist, I'm a guest there often, also very good lunch dishes, Some ice cream parlors can take a leaf out of their ice cream, in terms of taste and decoration. The ice cream is always delicious And got cake again.

Habe heute heute einen heißen Kakao zum mitnehmen bestellt! Dachte dieser wird mit der Maschine zubereitet! Die Mitarbeiterin holte eine Karaffe mit kaltem Kakao aus dem Kühlschrank, schüttete die benötigte Menge in eine Metall Kanne und dann wurde versucht es mit dem Milchaufschäumer zu erhitzen! Danach übergab sie mir den Kakao im Pappbecher! Der Kakao war immernoch kalt und schmeckte einfach beschissen! Also wir waren dort tägliche Kunden und ließen dort im Moment einen hohen 100er Betrag! Damit ist jetzt endgültig Schluss!

Ordered some hot cocoa to go today! Thought this was prepared with the machine! The employee took a carafe of cold cocoa out of the fridge, poured the required amount into a metal jug and then tried to heat it up with the milk frother! Then she handed me the cocoa in a paper cup! The cocoa was still cold and tasted like shit! So we were daily customers there and left a high 100s amount there at the moment! This is now finally over!

The ladies try very hard and are always friendly, but there is often just too much going on and there are long queues - therefore only two stars for service. If I feel like having another coffee for breakfast, I'll miss it - that's why waiting in line for so long again is annoying. The selection is wide, the food is good and the portions are sufficient. The atmosphere is tasteful and cozy. Often full, so it can be very loud in the large building. There is also nice, covered seating outside, a small fenced-in playground and a large parking lot.

It's more of a self-service restaurant. Cozy atmosphere with plenty of outdoor space. The dishes are delicious, I had a glass of porridge for €5.45 and a cup of coffee cream for €2.25. Because it was brunch, there was later an omelet with ham and 2 slices of farmhouse bread for €8.25. A nougat croissant to take away was mega big for €2.55. It's not cheap, but as written, tasty and filling!

Why did I give 5 stars for food and service but only 1 star overall? Because you still haven't been able to do it before 5 p.m., for example, to stretch a ribbon or draw a line on the floor in order to avoid chaos at the checkout. There is now a sign there, but there is still a commotion in front of the cash registers.

Dachte es wird besser..... Aber leider Irrtum. Trotz Selbstbedienung zu hohe Preise. Personal spricht kaum deutsch und ist unfreundlich zum Kunden. Kommandieren die Kunden zur anderen Kasse mit unhöflichem Ton. Wer bin ich denn daß ich Folge leisten muss. Fischfilet und Kartoffelsalat schmeckt wie Fertigprodukt. Total verdreckte Tische, überall klebt es. Zuckerstreuer eckelhaft und klebrig. Sauberkeit gibts nicht. Die Bänke und Stühle sind schmutzig und niemand da der sich darum kümmert. Man muss aufpassen dass man sich nicht auf die verkleben Essensreste setzt und die Kleidung dadurch verschmutzt. Hygiene gibt es hier nicht. Richtige Fastfood Bude. Das Schmutzige Geschirr stapelt sich an der Rückgabe und wieder niemand da der es wegräumt. Hauptsache der Rubel rollt. Toiletten verdreckt, lockere Türgriffe und kein Handtuchpapier vorhanden. Da sollte mal das Gesundheitsamt allgemein besser kontrollieren. Keine Empfehlung👎👎👎👎👎

“Baker Schmidt” is written outside. While we waited at the electric car store, we looked for coffee and cake. The parking lot is full on a holiday? No wonder! Baker Schmidt is a gourmet temple! Because here, in addition to freshly smelling bread, coffee and a huge selection of cakes, there are excellent "Börger", homemade pasta and dumplings, wood-fired pizza and cocktails. Full program from breakfast to dinner. Although self-service is popular here, you will find very friendly employees who always have time to say "bon appetit" when handing over the freshly prepared food. We felt comfortable here!

We were there on Sunday. It was very busy. But the employees had everything sorted and under control so that everyone got a very tasty breakfast. The breakfast was perfect. The eggs and bacon were very tasty. Not too crispy and not too mushy either. Friendly staff. Gladly again 😀

I had dinner there three times in a row and tried three different dishes (house schnitzel chicken, pizza diavolo, pulled chicken burger). Every dish and its ingredients were always fresh, the overall package was always very tasty and the service was always friendly and courteous. All in all, I can only recommend it there.

The culmination of the decline of baking culture. Large selection, taste only at a convenience-we-bake-fresh-daily-(ON)-baked goods level. For an honest craft baker's price, you get the same taste. These days the baker also bakes pizza and fried schnitzels. This variety, no wonder, comes at the expense of taste. Today I fell for the nut cake again, which looked delicious, mind you. Tasteless but screamingly sweet, glycerin-like juicy & exaggeratedly fluffy fresh from the baking food chemist. However, the staff was friendly. Last time the cream slices now the nut cake. Now we have it here & no one wants to eat it.

Pleasant café/bakery and restaurant, which invites you to linger, with a large selection of high-quality baked products, food and drinks, food is very tasty, whether pizza, burgers or vegetarian dishes, some self-service, I'll be happy to come back!

I ordered 2 pizzas online for 7:20 p.m., got there at 7:15 p.m. and the pizzas were already only lukewarm. By the time I got home 5 minutes later, they had to be put back in the oven because otherwise we would have eaten cold pizza... The taste was OK, but it used to be better (dough and tomato sauce were tasteless). Very unfortunate.

We have been here four times and we've been on vacation only a week so far. We have a week and a half to go and we will come back here at least a few more times. We love it here!

The food is rather mediocre, the noodles are often sticky. You get tired of the potatoes even after 3 bites; they often sit for a long time and are over-seasoned. The bakery stuff is actually quite good, so it's better to take something with you than eat there.

So to differentiate, the bakery is easily 5 out of 5 stars! Schmidt Baker is great! The restaurant part is rather bad than good. Inefficient order taking leads to long queues. The food is mediocre, there are no fries or croquettes and the only alternative is disgusting small potatoes in their skins or cheap potato salad that is way too cold. You get the food yourself when the beeper you receive rings. The ambience is more reminiscent of motorway rest areas but still stands out from those. However, the beepers that you hear are beeping non-stop from all corners, and some people don't even check who it is beeping, which means that it rings for even longer. When it's raining, hardly a moment goes by without the sounds of the table alarm clock around you. Otherwise, you'll be so overwhelmed by frothing milk that you won't understand anything anymore.

Large selection and nice indoor and outdoor seating.

The Schmidt Bakery is certainly an institution in our region. Why the shop in Roth doesn't close the shade or turn on the air conditioning when it's over 30C doesn't explain to me. As a guest, you sit inside in extremely stuffy air and sweat. You can only feel sorry for the staff. The terrace also provides almost no shade. Something urgently needs to be done here and the store needs to be renovated in general.

The place is quite large and has many available tables. The staff is nice and friendly, and the service is quick. The terrace is very pleasant, the food is delicious and is fresh and made to order, which makes the taste of the food very good. Highly recommended!
