Excellent Traditional beerhaus in Wiesbaden , old style German cuisine in a traditional atmosphere , we have had the opportunity to try very well cook traditional dishes as sausages and schnitzels

Cozy place to eat or drink a beer was relatively full but of course you can sit outside if it's time in the summer.

The PdT not cooked enough, sauerkraut not great and sausages cooked in fat taste bad, hackfleich not hot. In short, a big disappointment for our visitors who wanted to taste German dishes

After a somewhat longer search for a restaurant with local cuisine, we came across this place. I ordered meatloaf with pepper sauce and fried potatoes and the Munich schnitzel with red cabbage and fried potatoes, the service was friendly but definitely stressed, the first impression of the food was visually great, hand-beaten and freshly breaded schnitzel, homemade meatloaf, a pepper sauce with boom (too much for my wife , just right for me), great fried potatoes! The schnitzel with pretzel breading was really tasty, the red cabbage was average, the faux pas was that the meatloaf wasn't completely cooked through in the middle, but that didn't matter due to the huge size of the portions. Unfortunately, paying took longer but there was a waitress for the whole thing Loading is not enough!

This place serves authentic German food. The service was great. The beer cold and fresh. It is not the typical Wiesbaden pretension. Very friendly staff and and great views of the fountain house and nicely decorated.

I love coming to eat here. The cheese spaetzle are simply the best. The evening flies by with Handkäs and Äppler.

Arguably the best German food restaurant in town closely followed by Ratskeller. Cosy bar and individually unique front of house table settings sets it apart from the competition for its local atmosphere. Josie is always lovely and accommodating. The whole menu is great. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Beckerbrunnen in Wiesbaden and all I can say is: everything was just perfect! As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a welcoming atmosphere. The food was an absolute highlight. Every dish was fresh, creatively prepared and tasted excellent. The ingredients were of the highest quality and you can tell that the cooking here is done with attention to detail. The service was also first class - attentive, friendly and always with a smile. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. For anyone looking for an outstanding culinary experience in Wiesbaden, Beckerbrunnen is an absolute recommendation.

At first we were very rudely informed that the table we had chosen would be reserved an hour and a half later, which wasn't a problem for us as we didn't want to stay that long anyway. Then we decided on a small dish because my friend has had stomach surgery and can't eat a normal portion, which was again rejected very rudely and we were forced to order a large portion. In the end a table next to us became available, which in turn was denied to us and we decided to pay before the table was reserved. We will definitely not frequent this E establishment again and cannot recommend it due to the poor service and the unfriendly waitress.

Bäckerbrunnen, “The Old Town Pub”, is rather inconspicuous in the front of the house. The associated beer garden is more eye-catching. Friendly service, good, home-style cuisine and a quiet ambience. The two-page menu provides an immediate overview of all drinks and dishes.

It's ok, but €6.40 for a side salad is quite steep. The waitress should have been a bit more attentive, after asking she finally cleared away the empty plates. There were five of us and the table was already full and there weren't that many guests.

Was there with a group on a very hot and humid Thursday evening. Service was very nice, but took a long time. For example, you had to call them to get cutlery. Okay, it was very hot and humid and the work is difficult. Schnitzel was recommended to me, but I wasn't convinced at all. It didn't look like it had been pan-fried (but I could be wrong) and looked kind of like a store-bought product, not something freshly made. Kaiserschmarrn was OK, but it wasn't any better when I made it myself at home (from a package). There is a wide selection of food and drinks and plenty of places to sit outside. It looked dingy inside. Conclusion: Nice staff, large selection, but I won't eat here again. But I'm happy for the restaurant that - judging by the other comments - there are many people who like it and are satisfied.

Service was better in the past. They served our order to another table and proposed us to take their order??? Since we refused and asked after more than half an hour where our proper order was, they cancelled it without warning to us in the kitchen…

We are amazed that shops like this can still survive. falls under the category of tourist trap. Everything from the deep fryer and the metro. And it's not even done well. Every canteen can do it better. Greasy, unseasoned and old. And all of this at extremely high prices. We won't be coming back.

We like coming here. Quaint old town pub with charm and very nice employees who always have a funny saying on their lips and keep an overview even when it's full. Some people go out to eat expecting to be served quickly and cheaply. That's what fast food is for, right? We should also all be happy that the bakery fountain has been preserved and that not another kebab shop or Chinese snack bar has moved in.

Probably an odd night for the pub. Mediocre food. Long wait for food (1+ hour) and we had little kids. We had to ask for bread to hold them over. Rump steak and salmon were mediocre. I'd try again but first experience was just ok.

Nice and friendly service. Really good portions and a decent home-style menu. Value for money is right and we would love to come back! It's nice that the Bäckerbrunnen has reopened under new management (1-year anniversary on June 22nd, 2024 with live music). And during the EM 2024 also with a large television. Definitely worth a visit.

It's hard to believe how good reviews have been written about this. We were very disappointed... tasteless, I can eat better at the next snack bar around the corner. Far too expensive for the quality! See picture 3 speaks volumes🙈😡

It was delicious. Since white asparagus is in season, I ordered a plate of white asparagus and potatoes, and a beer. The menu is only in German, but you can understand it with translation software. The staff at the restaurant were comfortable and we ate at a table outside, but we had a great time. There are other menu items such as schnitzel, salmon, and sausage, so I would definitely like to try something else next time.

Brewery and German cuisine restaurant. Tables indoors and in the quiet square in front of the restaurant. The girl who served us was very kind and patient, she spoke English, as the menu was also in English. I had a schnitzel with white asparagus, which is the local specialty, all topped with hollandaise sauce. Good but everything was a bit too greasy. Average price and tip request.

Price performance is not right at all!!!. Schnitzel with fries 31€ ok, but if after 40 minutes you get a thick piece of meat with bad breading, cold sauce on the breading with no taste, it doesn't work. My wife gave it all back and said that tastes are different, which was a disgrace. Never again.

Mainly there is beer here, but there is also a lot that we girls can do here: wine list is impressive, apple wine, (Aperol) Sprizz, now in summer Frozen Strawberry Margherita (!!!) and Frozen Mango Daiquiri! Heart, what do you want more?! If you wish, you can also have a light meal by measure, the pork knuckles are huge and crispy, the schnitzel variations are plate-filling, and all portions are large and attractively prepared. The Bäckerbrunnen is not just a pub, but also offers skilful, home-style gastronomy! The staff provides great service, is attentive and humorous. The food is delicious, but the service can still be improved a lot. It takes an eternity before you can order. We were always overlooked. The delicious food is a little comforting after a long wait.

The worst thing I've ever experienced. Asparagus overcooked, unfriendly conditions. I had the table until 7 p.m., was asked to leave the table at 6:05 p.m. and had to leave, even though the last round was delivered to me for €34. This is a place you definitely don't want to go to. P.S. My cap was over €300!!! In return I get first class cuisine with first class service in Wiesbaden. Please don't go. WARNING!!!@

They have reopened with new owners after being closed for COVID and it is better than ever!!!! The schnitzel is huge portions and crisp a delicious with a wonderful mushroom gravy. The French fry’s are crisp and still soft inside. Great selection of beers. Do glad they are back open!!

Our food tasted very tasty. The service was attentive and polite. Ambiance as always - rustic. What I have to rate negatively and deduct a star for is the current pricing. 20€ for a cream schnitzel and then another 6.4€ for a side salad is a lot to ask.

The salad with baked potato and tzatziki was particularly convincing, even if a little more tzatziki would have improved the dish. The pork medallions were well done, but they could have been a little juicier. The champion cream sauce rounded off the overall taste successfully. The potato pancakes were perfect. 2. Service (5/5): The service in the restaurant was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly, quick and customer-oriented. The drinks were replenished quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, one day we didn't get any more food because the kitchen was already closed. An employee from the kitchen gave us a recommendation and welcomed us the following day, which underlines the friendliness of the entire team. 3. Nice German restaurant in downtown. They have menus in English and the staff speaks English and are very friendly. Service was fast and very good. Nice atmosphere. Food tasted great and the portions were big. Prices were reasonable for downtown. We paid 106 Euros for food and drinks for 5 people.

Die Speisen sind frisch hergestellt und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis passt hier. Draussen gibts noch einen Glühweinstand. Da macht sich jemand Gedanken 👌🫣. Wir bedanken uns bei der netten Bedienung und kommen gerne Wieder.

Glatte eins! Habe ein überbackenes Pfännchen mit Wirsing und Hackfleisch dazu Bratkartoffeln gegessen. !!!ES WAR MEGA!!! So gut gemachten Wirsing habe ich als Rheinländer noch nie bekommen und das heißt etwas. Bedienung und Service sind Klasse und sehr aufmerksam. Vielen Dank, ich komme gerne wieder. Gruß Dieter

Ich war überrascht über die recht moderaten Preise für "Wiesbadener Verhältnisse". Riesigen Salat verspeist. Gutes alcfreies Weizen getrunken. Freundlicher Service. Das Ambinente (wie mein Schwiegervater sagen würde) ist sehr ansprechend. Oder im allgemeinen Sprachgebrauch: "saugemütlich". Hab schon für meinen Hochzeitstag reserviert.

Went for lunch and had the special, Hackfleisch eintopf with bratkartoffeln, the 👌 and I was more than full after eating the WHOLE dish!!! Awesome place, and our neighbors were very happy with their schnitzel too. Highly recommended, make reservations if you plan to eat at rush hour 😋

Der Bäckerbrunnen ist Kult in Wiesbaden! Schade dass das Herrenschnitzel nicht mehr auf der Speisekarte steht. Das fand ich immer super. Beim letzten Besuch hatten wir die halbe Ente und das Rippchen. Beides war ordentlich zubereitet und lecker. Gerne wieder.
