It's hilarious! My colleague booked a table online, and guess what? They knew nothing about it. To make matters worse, the waiter came out to us saying we'd made a reservation in Bürstadt. When we showed him the reservation in Lorsch, all he said was, "Oops, I'll pass it on to the manager." In short, terrible service. Reservations at Drayß are pointless.

The facilities and food were very good. There's something for everyone on the menu. It's very centrally located, which makes finding a parking spot a bit tricky. But it's definitely worth it.

We spent a day in Lorsch and managed to snag a table at Drayß at the last minute. What luck! Besides the delicious food, fantastic dessert, and excellent drinks, we were also thrilled with the service. Even our dog was welcome. We don't really find places like this in our area. If we ever pass through Lorsch again, we'll definitely be back. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Delicious, hearty food in a rustic atmosphere. The value for money is excellent. Just be aware that it can be noisy, and you'll need to do your laundry afterwards.

When it reopened a few years ago, this restaurant was all well and good. Now it's not even average. After three visits, it now seems to me a given that, even when it's not busy, you as a guest are disregarded by the service staff. Once, we even called the restaurant at our table and requested a waiter. Unfortunately, the tables were always dirty, and we had to ask them to remove the leftovers from the previous guests. The simple Viennese-style schnitzel with fries culminated, in my opinion, in a level of impudence I've never experienced before: carelessly thrown onto the plate and served. - No words. Burnt potatoes and onions garnished the tough frozen schnitzel. The staff are distracted, playing on their phones, throwing handfuls of napkins at each other, with one blonde waitress standing out as particularly negative when it comes to cutlery. It's hard to believe that this restaurant has anything to do with the best bakery in town.

Should really be 5 stars... well, people were smoking cigars and cigarillos in the courtyard for over an hour. Why the service staff didn't want to discuss a solution remains a mystery to me.

Generally, I've been mostly satisfied so far, but on Sunday it really wasn't a good experience there, hence the criticism. Unfortunately, drinks were brought to the table incorrectly twice; another guest had my glass to his mouth, and we were served it anyway. The side salad with the cooked cheese, well, it was a lettuce stalk, a split tomato (even though we'd asked for it without), and two slices of cucumber. I only received a receipt upon request and request. It all went pretty badly 😕

The day before yesterday, four of us arrived and waited outside to be seated. The young man at the reception, without saying "hello" or "good evening," asked in a dry, even brusque manner: "Do you have a reservation?" The kitchen was apparently overwhelmed. Only when two of us were almost finished with our tarte flambée did the dishes for the other two arrive. The only highlight was the young lady who served us. Conclusion: Best to avoid Brauhaus Drays on a Saturday night.

We celebrated our mom's 90th birthday at the brewery on July 1st. It was wonderful, as there was still music in the house that day, and they sang a special birthday serenade. The food was, as always, very good; everyone enjoyed it. I myself grew up with the bakery's delicious treats back in Einhausen. I also ordered cake for that evening, and everything went smoothly. Thank you for that.

A great brewery with a fantastic and spacious beer garden, which also offers plenty of shady seating. The interior is coolly decorated and definitely has something special. 👍 Delicious food, great beer, and very nice, friendly, and efficient staff. What more could a guest want? But I think you should definitely consider making a reservation in the evening.

We are the only tourist when we visit. They got english menu. Food are in huge portions and delivious. And they know we not so much familiar with their beer, so they give us some sample to try before order. I am so pampered and felt warm welcoming.

Absolutely. We stopped there in Lorsch to get something to eat. Before that, we went to Luisenpark in Mannheim, which was also great, but the prices are actually quite high, especially since the park is mostly frequented by families with children. Personally, I don't think it's family-friendly.

Breakfast was more than sufficient

Unfortunately, our visit didn't live up to expectations. The restaurant left a poor impression, and the service behind the counter seemed lackluster. We were particularly impressed by the outdoor area, where the fine gravel made the floor extremely dusty, raising hygiene concerns. The entrance area served as a garbage collection point, and the restrooms were not clean. There was a lack of regular inspection (checklist) and cleaning, which was evident in empty paper towel dispensers and dirty fixtures.

It's very nice, and the food is truly delicious. The homemade lemonades and sausage salad are highly recommended. The only annoying thing is that many guests simply leave the door to the accessible restroom open, which is pretty disgusting, since you're just eating right there. The staff is courteous and friendly.

Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try any of the food or drinks. When we entered at 2 p.m., there was a sign reading: "Please wait here, you will be shown to your seat!" It should be noted that half of the tables were free. We stood there for five minutes, were noticed by several waiters, but ignored. Finally, I approached a waiter myself and asked if we could sit down. Unfortunately, we weren't served for another 15 minutes. Luckily, other guests arrived who also wanted to wait for a table, but were told that if they wanted to eat, the kitchen would already be closed. Unfortunately, this wasn't indicated anywhere. So we left the brewery.

Probably the restaurant in Lorsch where you can go for just about any occasion. Be it a business lunch, a date, or simply a meal with friends; the food is delicious, fairly priced, and there are lovely seating areas both inside and outside.

My wife and I had lunch hear while out cycling. Very good food and the locally brewed beer had to be tried. Well we are now taking a 5lt keg home with us, say no more.!

I was there for a business conference. There was a wide selection at breakfast, and despite the group and the busy restaurant, it arrived very quickly. The lunch menu was good, and the service was excellent. The staff were all very attentive.

Friendly and fast service staff. The food is rather average. The restaurant is usually very busy, which makes it very loud. We also sat opposite the scullery, where all sorts of metal sheets were being handled quite loudly.

Unfortunately, after we sat down at a table, we were neither noticed nor greeted. Instead, tables were put together and reserved signs were put up. After 5 minutes we left. No recommendation from us!

The Drais bakery and brewery in Lorsch is a true gem for connoisseurs. Particularly noteworthy is the in-house, freshly brewed beer - full-bodied, aromatic and brewed with real brewing art. The dishes are also convincing across the board: lovingly prepared, tastefully refined and of good quality. Every bite is a pleasure, every glass an experience. A place with a spacious outdoor area, inside full of cosiness, culinary joy and passion for craftsmanship - recommended!

Very simple but good food, home-brewed beer, rustic atmosphere. I give this 4 stars overall.

I was at Brauhaus Drayß today, March 2nd, 2025. And I would like to refer to a review by Mr. Sven-Helge from Darry from 5 years ago. Mr. von Darry posted a photo of the white sausages. Simply a disgrace. Offer an approx. 7cm sausage as a white sausage. For the couple 8.90😳😡😳!! In Bavaria you are chased out of the village with disgrace and disgrace for this. Beer ok. Service friendly.

I was here for breakfast. Well, I think it needs a lot of improvement. I like to go for breakfast, but unfortunately I was disappointed here. (Bread rolls were delicious) This is an inn with good beer and probably good food. We will definitely come back, but not for breakfast.

Unfortunately, the food is still very inconsistent. It goes out very quickly, so definitely a lot of preparation. (Which unfortunately sometimes depresses the quality and taste) Which is of course not surprising with >200 seats. It's just not a restaurant 😏 but a brewery 🍻 Still a good location.

Top young service team... Ambience suitable for a brewery... Food poor... Fries taste like old fat, should be changed more often... Bacon from the burger wasn't crispy... fried potatoes were soggy and partly not cooked through... Schnitzel was ok, the cooking cheese was cold, it's debatable whether it shouldn't be served warm... the food should urgently be reconsidered... and you should also think about the ventilation of the kitchen, the clothes completely stink of food, I experience this in a kebab shop, but not in a restaurant....

Wir waren in der KW 53/24 zum Mittagstisch hier. Alle drei Gerichte, die wir hatten, waren von einigermaßen bedauerlicher Qualität. Die Bratensoße zum "deftigen Kümmelbraten" (kein Krustenbraten, das Fleisch "na ja") wie aus dem Eimer. Das panierte Schnitzel wie Presspappe (danke für die treffende Qualifizierung an die Vorkommentatorin). Die Gulaschsuppe als ob das totgekochte Fleisch aus einem Rindfleischsalat in einen dünnen Eintopf gekippt worden wäre. Convenience-"Niveau". Bedienungen gab es zwar genug, alle waren auch freundlich. Aber sie schafften es hervorragend, den Gast und damit die Arbeit nicht zu sehen. Unseren reservierten Platz haben wir selbst gesucht. Bestellen konnten wir erst, nachdem diverse Bedienungen mehrfach an uns vorbeigerauscht waren (immer schön den Blickkontakt meiden). Bezahlen konnten wir dann bei der dritten Bedienung, die wir angesprochen hatten.

Very tasty food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Weekly menu, breakfast, lunch, cake counter and of course dinner are offered. Toilets are clean and nicely designed. In summer you can sit outside great. Parking directly in front of the house can be difficult, but there are many options for parking throughout the city center. We celebrated upstairs in the small room.

Highly recommended here is the baked potato with grilled vegetables. The home brewed one! Beer is great. Reservation is recommended. Also possible with larger groups. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and the beer was tasty. The staff was attentive and friendly. The schnitzels were good, but the truffle pasta was a disappointment and the price-performance ratio was not right: the pasta was a bit soft, the sauce a bit salty and overall it was a boring dish. I would give it 3.5 stars.

Went there spontaneously while in transit. The service was great (nice and quick), we really liked the atmosphere. The food was delicious, but unfortunately the schnitzel and the venison sausage were only lukewarm.

We were a small group. The table was reserved for us in the upper area in a room where it was very comfortable. The service is top!! Totally friendly and willing to fulfill special requests. The food came quickly and for everyone at the same time. We all really enjoyed it and the portions were more than sufficient. In the lower area the furnishings are modern and attractive. However, a bit louder when it's full. We'd love to come back!
