I was at Bacco with my family about a year ago and we had a pleasant evening. Food was delicious and the location was very nice. My family recently had their second visit to Bacco as they enjoyed the first visit, however we will not be going there a third time. They were there without me and had told me about their visit. My parents asked me to write a review because they don't have a Google account. They were very unhappy with their visit and felt unwelcome from start to finish. It started with a very unfriendly greeting from the owner. When they wanted to place their order, my father started first and listed what he would like, but he was ignored and ignored. My father couldn't explain why the owner behaved like that towards him. Among other things, my family had a small dog with them that sat on the chair. Instead of politely pointing this out to us, the owner decided to stand on the porch and loudly tell us that the dog shouldn't sit there. That's understandable, of course, no question about it. However, I think that this situation could have been clarified differently and I can also imagine that it must be very unpleasant for the other guests to watch the owner talking to his guests. But what shocked me the most was that my family told me that they felt like the owner and waiters were talking about them. You don't know whether they actually did it in the end, but if so, then you don't do it so that the guests can see it? How can you make your guests feel so bad?! I find that more than inappropriate and just incredibly rude. I've never experienced or heard anything like that. Someone who behaves like this in front of their guests should not open a restaurant or serve guests. If you express your criticism on Google, it will be answered, but in my opinion the answer from the owner comes across as very passive aggressive and there is no understanding or insight from the owner. I wonder whether this job is really the right one if you react like that to criticism from your guests and, above all, behave so disrespectfully towards your guests.

I'm at a loss for words for someone like the owner of this "restaurant" business. In my opinion, a personality resistant to advice and incapable of criticism. My general tip for the company: change in leadership! I lose my appetite.

Great atmosphere, river side dining and drinking 🥰

Very tasty food. Good and fast service. Tasteful decoration. Great location right on the Fulda. Hopefully there will be no construction work soon, but that doesn't diminish the atmosphere.

We went there for dinner today. Celebrated our little one starting school. We sat outside, a nice terrace right on the river. Very nice place. The staff was friendly. A great waiter. We had bruschetta as a starter. This was delicious. I had spaghetti carbonara (without cream!! Thank God!) All dishes were really good. The dessert too. We felt very comfortable. My in-laws also loved the food. We live 50 km away but we will definitely eat there again. Merci beaucoup (Gracie mille).

Normally I save my energy for something like this, but I have to say something here. I had dinner with my boyfriend and his family. First of all, we got there before 6:30 and waited on the sidelines for them to open. It was pointed out several times that they would only open at that time, which wasn't a problem for us. In the end, the owner came earlier, but made a rather unfriendly first impression as he greeted us with words like “what do you want here? Can anyone help you?” welcomed. However, we were kindly allowed to get to the table earlier (we hadn't made a reservation). Once there, the cards arrived, although the waitress hardly spoke any German and couldn't answer any questions. I already noticed that the owner and the waiters were talking about us and I felt uncomfortable. Shortly afterwards, the owner loudly pointed out to us from the veranda that the small dog we had with us should not sit on the seat cushion of the chair. Of course we understand that, but you can say that in a friendlier and more discreet way, right? The food and drinks came quickly, but my pasta was lukewarm, tasteless olives and once even plastic in the salad (that can happen and was exchanged), and my shandy didn't really taste good either. That's why I just don't think the price is justified for the performance. In the end, the leftovers from the food were carelessly wrapped in aluminum foil. I've worked in restaurants myself and know how stressful it can be. But it can't be the case that several guests (just look at the other comments) don't feel welcome and find the owner arrogant. It's a shame because the location on the Fulda is very beautiful in summer.

For the first time there, without prior reservation, we got a table for 6 people, great ambience, service staff, food TOP, unique and terrific, everything freshly prepared and very child-friendly, we would definitely like to come back, highly recommended, best Pizza 🍕 that I ate.

About pricing: There was a menu with old, lower prices on display without any notice being given. We were also offered a dish (without mentioning the price) that wasn't on the menu, which we then took. Unfortunately, this was disproportionately more expensive than comparable items on the menu. Food was mediocre to good - the view/location was very nice, so I adjusted the overall rating to 3 stars.

With the generous voucher from the Golden Wedding Anniversary, it was supposed to be a beautiful, summery evening in the Bacco restaurant. But unfortunately when we asked about the wine list it didn't start off right away. The card was not given and the price for the Chianti was only given upon request. The ordering went smoothly and the food was fine. However, the atmosphere was characterized by restlessness and hectic pace among the staff, including the boss. After the order for another wine and mixed drink was not fulfilled despite repeated reminders, we warned the manager of the house about this after 30 minutes, with the result that he immediately asked us loudly not to cause any hassle, otherwise we would have to leave the restaurant leave and he would possibly ban us from the house. What also happens when paying the bill was pronounced and, after necessary discussion, concluded with the words "How old do you want to be" was commented on. As a married couple, we have been in public life for more than 50 years and have never experienced such unfriendly behavior. It seems as if someone here is simply overwhelmed.

Rarely have I had such good bruschetta and such good pizza. The service was very good and the employees were extremely friendly. If we are in Rotenburg again, we will definitely eat here again.

Food ok. Service ok. Boss rude and impolite. Doesn't ask what you want, just the number. Just like the Chinese used to. Slap in the face at the bill, 10.50 euros for a glass of wine. There was no price quote anywhere. Bully said we should have asked... To be avoided. Outright theft. Arrogant thief.

After everything you hear about Bacco Bar/Restaurant, I'm really disappointed with the food. The ambience is more than successful and impresses with its unique view/atmosphere.

We stopped here by chance during our motorcycle tour. Very friendly staff, our wishes were fulfilled, the food was delicious. The only thing that wasn't so great was the large construction site next to the restaurant. Luckily we were there on the holiday. When the construction site is gone, it will be a place to stay longer 🤩🍷🍷

A really great Italian restaurant, which also offers seating on the terrace in summer. We had homemade ravioli filled with artichokes and oven-baked chicken. Both dishes were to die for. The pizza that we saw at the next table is also worth trying. The delicious espresso at the end rounded everything off. If we vacation in the area again, we will definitely come back.

Except for the toilets it was really really great. The food is great, the service is very friendly.

Unfriendly and presumptuous behavior of the operating staff. No choice of table, even though we were the first guests and there were many seats available. When choosing drinks and food, we had questions that were answered in an annoyed and unmotivated manner in a mix of German and Italian. The Chianti wine was anything but delicious, as was the white wine, which was served far too warm. Due to our expressed surprise, the waiter took the glass away aggressively and without comment, without offering an alternative. The pizza tasted okay, but was surrounded by a thick, bulging dough edge, the volume of which didn't leave much room for the actual pizza topping. The pasta dish was only rated as mediocre in terms of taste. We paid by card, but we didn't get a bill and had to accept what Il Capo typed on his debit card reader. Summary: the restaurant is in a good location, but that's all. The way the service dealt with the guest was outrageous and absolutely unacceptable, the food was mediocre and the price-performance ratio was not justified. Unfortunately we cannot recommend this restaurant.

Very friendly, warm, spirited staff. The food was very tasty. I don't really like eating at Italian restaurants because I can't think of anything other than pizza. I don't know enough dishes. But this time it was something with stuffed dumplings and great sauce. I really enjoyed that. Everyone else was also very satisfied. We recommend.

We stayed at Bacco-Esposito (again) in February. The food is really excellent, especially the pizzas are spot on. Ambiance and service very Italian and nice. The oils on offer are also recommended, really top quality. We will definitely stop by again next time we are in Rotenburg.

Very nice restaurant, it was our first time there, very nice reception, jacket would be taken off (you don't see that often) - nice menu and fair prices - it's definitely worth a visit, we'll go there again the next time my mother visits ;)

Es war sehr schön dort. Wir saßen auf der Terrasse mit Blick zur Fulda. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service sehr aufmerksam. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Was für eine Pizza! Mit Spanferkel und Ackersenf belegt und ein Teig zum niederknien. Es wird lange dauern, bis ein Pizzabäcker an meine neue Benchmark herankommt! Und die Spaghetti Aglio e Oglio, die zwar nicht auf der Karte standen, aber ohne große Diskussion selbstverständlich aus der Küche kamen, waren perfekt. Endlich hat sich ein Koch mal wieder getraut, die erforderliche Menge Chili beizugeben und das Ganze al dente und hübsch angerichtet auf den Teller zu bringen. Grazie mille!

Essen ist sehr lecker. Bedienungen sind recht unhöflich und wollen die eigenen Fehler die bei der Aufnahme der Bestellung passiert sind auf die Kunden schieben. Das Verhalten wertet die eigentlich gemütliche Atmosphäre eher ab und lässt einen unwohl fühlen.

Wir waren heute im Bacco Mittagessen und waren sehr zufrieden.

Sehr freundliches Personal, hammerleckeres Essen und tolles Ambiente direkt an der Fulda.

Essen ist total lecker. Service sollte sehen, wenn die Gläser leer sind und nachfragen ob man noch etwas möchte bzw. auch das Nachbestellte zeitnah bringen und nicht erst auf Nachfrage. Wäre nett gewesen zum Abschluss einen "Kurzen" aufs Haus, wenn man schon 200 € dort lässt. Werden aber wieder kommen und noch mal testen.

Das Essen war, wie gewohnt, super. Trotz unter der Woche, war das Local sehr gut besucht, man saß sehr eng, mit den anderen Gästen, zusammen und Gäste die nach uns kamen wurden zuerst bedient. Es dauerte seine Zeit bis man sich selbst darum bemüht hatte, Getränke nach zu bestellen. Vegane Speisen sind kein Problem, ebenso werden auch glutenfreie Gerichte angeboten. Im Großen und Ganzen ein tolles Restaurant mit etwas höhere Preisen, aber mit sehr guter Qualität der Speisen. Der Service ist noch etwas verbesserungsfähig, aber sehr nett.

Ein sehr schickes und für den gehobeneren Anspruch ausgerüstetes Restaurant. Die ganzen 1 Sterne Bewertungen sind für mich definitiv nicht nachzuvollziehen. Das Essen war tatsächlich weniger als in anderen Restaurants in denen ich bisher war. Die wiederum waren aber auch alle nicht vergleichbar sondern eher „normale gut bürgerliche Küche“ und somit nicht vergleichbar. Ich habe das Personal mehrmals nach allen möglichen Sachen gefragt und es wurden alle Fragen zu meiner Zufriedenheit beantwortet wenn auch kurz und schnell. Man muss dazu aber auch sagen wir waren heute dort und hatten gestern einen Tisch für 5 Personen vorbestellt. 3 waren 15-20 Minuten früher da und bekamen trotzdem den Tisch ohne abgewiesen zu werden, so dass ich und eine Bekannte dann den 5 er Tisch komplettieren konnten. (15/20 Min später) Die Preise fand ich vollkommen in Ordnung, definitiv nicht übertrieben teuer.Wenn man natürlich Massen an günstigen und schnellen Essen haben will, kann man ja zum Dönermann oder McDonald’s usw. etc. fahren. Auf Nachfrage kam raus das es erst ab 20/25€ möglich ist mit Karte zu zahlen. Im Notfall wenn’s nicht anders geht auch mit niedrigem Betrag möglich. Auch das Ambiente im Außenbereich fand ich vollkommen zum Stil des Restaurants passend und sehr schön. Heute war der komplette Außenbereich voll, alle Tische unter dem „Pavillon“ sowie unter dem großen Baum in der Sonne. Und trotzdem war das Personal freundlich und hat mehrmals nachgefragt ob: „Wir etwas brauchen oder alles okay sei ?“ Nix zu beanstanden. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker und ich bin satt geworden. Wenn ich natürlich mit der Intention hingehe „Heute 5 Schnitzel und 3 Pizzen zu essen“ , ist dies sehr wahrscheinlich der falsche Ort dafür. Da man hier Klasse statt Masse bekommt.

Ich bin begeistert, mein erstes mal im Bacco - Esposito und ich fühle mich wie im Urlaub in Italien! Das essen ist sensationell und die Bedingungen sehr freundlich. Ich komme wieder!

Eine tolle Lokalität, wir sind mit den Rädern quasi durchgefahren🤩. Gastgeber super nett und Essen lecker. Man fühlt sich ein bisschen wie im Urlaub . Einfach nur toll 👍🏻.

Als Einzelperson wurde ich an einen "Katzentisch"gesetzt weil der Platz den ich mir ausgesucht habe für vier Personen gedacht war. Ist ja verständlich wenn viel Andrang, es war aber kurz vor der Mittagspause Geärgert hat mich auch, dass ich erst ab 25 Euro mit Karte zahlen konnte. Mein Preis war 15. Euro. Das Essen ist nach wie vor vorzüglich. Schade das ich so abgekanzelt wurde.

Super Ambiente direkt an der Fulda! Nette Bedienung, einziger kleiner Minuspunkt, der Kellner hat Teller abgeräumt obwohl die meisten noch am essen waren!! Pizza war mega lecker und der Preis mehr als fair!! Sollten wir nochmal in der Gegend sein, gehen wir auf jedenfall nochmal hin!!

Bei unserer Ankunft war der Service vollkommen überfordert. Es begann zu regnen, obwohl dieser angekündigt war. Die Bestellung wurde recht schnell aufgenommen und Essen und Getränke zeitnah serviert. Der Wein war zu warm, die Bruschetta war ungewürzt, die Lasagne aus der Mikrowelle lauwarm und die Pizza teigig und nicht knusprig. Das geht deutlich besser. Kann ich so nicht weiter empfehlen.

Mit großen Gruppen trotz Reservierung überfordert. Da werden dann kleinere Tische erst bedient, selbst wenn die deutlich später kamen und bekommen ihr Essen bevor bei uns überhaupt aufgenommen wurde. Getränkebestellung ging erst nach 20 Minuten. Essen 👍 und Personal nett.
