Soooo delicious meals, right around the corner. Sandwiches for breakfast that look and taste great. After work in the summer, have a typical Ukrainian kefir soup on the cozy terrace. Unconventionally lovingly furnished. As in all stores, there is a shortage of staff, so you just wait 5 minutes longer (but really no more). But it tastes twice as tasty.

The food was very tasty and seemed authentic. A taste that is not available on every corner. I liked the quality of the dishes. In addition to the main menu, there were some daily specials. Unusual and delicious!

This place is so wunderbar. The food is amazing. It feels so warm. Blinis and borscht and brunch oh my! The Babuschka!

My first but not last time! I was incredibly positively surprised by the taste. Vareniki Lisnik was excellent and my blackheads were also very impressed with their dishes. The service was attentive and came regularly. The ambience is okay, there are options to sit inside and outside. However, the parking situation is a nightmare - you have to allow a lot of time to find a parking space in the surrounding area.

It was my first time at Babuschkas Kitchen and I absolutely loved the food and the friendly, attentive service! It won't be the last visit!

I absolutely loved my visit to this restaurant! The staff is just great – incredibly friendly and warm. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. The food was also a highlight: very fresh and tasted excellent. I can highly recommend this restaurant

We were able to sit outside thanks to the nice weather, but it was also very nicely decorated inside. The service was very friendly, but could be a little more attentive. The food was very tasty, but you also have to like garlic (I love it). There were also some vegetarian dishes. Unfortunately the prices are really high.

We were here for dinner. The waitresses were all friendly, but not as attentive as we would have liked. Unfortunately, we had to wait quite a long 50 minutes for our food and empty drinks were not available either. Although it was probably the waitress's first day, we would have liked a colleague to have a look at it too. The taste of the food was mixed. Some were very tasty, others we didn't like so much. Above all, a lot of things were too heavily seasoned with garlic for us. But of course everyone may feel differently.

When we visited last week, the restaurant was very busy. We were able to sit outside due to the good weather. The window front, at least in the front part of the restaurant, can also be opened. At the back, the heat was defied with a fan. The restaurant is nicely designed. Everything is a little cramped, but it invites you to linger. The menu mainly offers dishes typical of the country (some of which may be reinterpreted). Overall, however, much of the menu is in the higher-priced segment. The food was good, but overall it didn't blow me away. Overall, everything was very tasty. There was definitely too much garlic in some parts of the dish. I still tasted it even after brushing my teeth three times. It seems as if everything was handmade, which at least partially justifies the high price. The service, on the other hand, was rather mediocre. Although very friendly, at least our service person wasn't the fastest and a little inattentive. No attention was paid to empty drinks, so we ordered more ourselves at the counter. A lot of time passed between ordering and the time the food reached us. Even people who ordered clearly after us got their food before us. Maybe we had been forgotten. None of this is an issue, but in my opinion, communication should be brief here if it takes an unusually long time so that the guest doesn't get the feeling that they have been forgotten. In the end I end up with 3.5 stars in the overall rating. Accordingly, I round up to 4 stars.

Beautiful little restaurant with an outdoor area in the Kreuzviertel. The food was very tasty, beautifully prepared and there is also a large selection for vegetarians and vegans. We will be back definitely.

I recently visited Babuschkas Kitchen and unfortunately had a mixed experience. The cappuccino was quite disappointing; the foam was watery and warm, resulting in the coffee being hot and almost undrinkable. On a brighter note, the pancakes were delicious, although the portion size was rather small. The decoration, however, was very appealing. One major downside was the wait time. We had to wait for 50 minutes for our order to arrive. Despite not complaining about the delay, the staff were very courteous and apologized for the inconvenience. To make up for it, they kindly offered us free energy drinks, which was a thoughtful gesture.

Went there recently and can only recommend the store. The only thing that could be improved is to serve a little more smetana with the pelmeni. Otherwise everything was excellent.

We were there for the second time today, and again the service was very nice and the food was great.

The food was great and something different. However, no draft beer, although there is a facility. When they clean up even though there are still customers there, it's not comfortable either, even though the conditions were very friendly. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable.

Great food and a good change from Italian, Indian, etc. Plus a cozy atmosphere. The service was also extremely courteous and personable.

I eat there occasionally and every dish is perfect. The service is always friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately my opinion won't be flattering, but first a small plus: the waitress was friendly and smiling, and the drinks were fine. However, this is where my words of praise end. The food was very bad. I don't know where the good reviews come from - maybe from people who don't eat in good restaurants. The dishes were really bad. We paid 80 euros and left with a bad feeling. The prices are absolutely unreasonable for the quality of the dishes. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant and will not come back. This is my first negative restaurant review and we eat out often as a family. We expected tasty Ukrainian cuisine, but it was very disappointing.

The food was great!! Everything fresh, delicious flavors and lots of vegetables. Anyone new to Ukrainian/Georgian cuisine should definitely try this. We will definitely come back!

The staff is pleasant, the food is delicious, there are no complaints about it. But if you are already positioning yourself as a Ukrainian restaurant, then be attentive to the details. Violins, samovars and matryoshka dolls on the shelves and plates on the walls are not authentic for a Ukrainian home. I still had the feeling that I was in a Russian restaurant. I will not go there again.

We were once again thrilled by the delicious breakfast, the cozy atmosphere and the extremely friendly service. It wasn't our first visit and certainly not our last either. Our tip: be sure to reserve a table in advance, because you don't want to miss this experience! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 ... The restaurant offers a diverse, fresh and unusual range of food and drinks, the service is friendly and courteous, and the furnishings are cozy and stylish. Nice service, sat comfortably in the sun. But the food, we had two bowls, was more like fast food, not that tasty and rather greasy and a bit musty and not that fresh.

Best meal I've had in recent months

More appearance than reality, food overpriced, e.g. shish kebab skewer for 27.90 euros, a mini salad, a few baked potatoes and 6 pieces of fake meat in lower supermarket “quality”. Tables very narrow, hardly any privacy, staff not open to criticism. Don't go there anymore.

+ very friendly staff, especially the owner (we had a chat and there is a lot of passion in this café-restaurant) + quiet, cozy atmosphere + delicious fresh homemade drinks & food (each dish is beautifully prepared and cooked with a lot of love) + many special Ukrainian-Russian specialties + very good value for money

Nicely decorated little restaurant whose food tastes really great. A wonderful change from pizza, schnitzel etc. The yeast rolls are awesome (except maybe for the people around you, because they have a lot of garlic 😬)!

This was our second time at Babushkas Kitchen. The dishes were again excellent and the service was extremely friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to linger. However, we have to give a small point deduction this time because it was a little noisy, mainly due to the staff cleaning up and the limited size of the store. Overall, however, a recommendable address. We would like to come again.

We really enjoyed eating here. Unfortunately the food is a bit expensive. There's no question that it tastes good, but we personally think that €22 for a drink + dumplings is too much.

Wenn man Mal etwas anderes probieren möchte, ist man hier genau richtig. Essen ist ausgezeichnet, sehr zu empfehlen. Service und Getränke auch top. Besonders positiv ist auch die grosse Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten. Wir hatten nur einen Hauptgang (Pelmeni- sehr zu empfehlen ) und sind pappsatt aus dem Laden gegangen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top.

Simply great. The dumplings were a hit, service was good and ambience is nice. I just found the table a bit too small and we sat by the door, which meant we were on the train. As often happens in the district - despite or perhaps because of the small tables - it's super cozy and, above all, beautifully furnished!

The service was great and friendly. As a starter there was a delicious borscht. I had the Georgian Chakhobili, my companion had the Caucasian Bowl. For dessert there was the incredibly fantastic Medownik (honey cake). All in all, it was a successful lunch!

Today I was here spontaneously and managed to get a seat despite the store being full. One thing in advance: the service here is very friendly, quick and attentive. You immediately feel at home there. I was also very impressed by the menu, with a wide variety of dishes that everyone will find. My borscht and pelmeni were great, but I could have easily ordered five other things. You shouldn't expect a large selection of drinks here, but I don't think that detracts from the experience. Overall, I can highly recommend Babushkas Kitchen, the ambience is also great here in the middle of the Kreuzviertel. I will gladly come again.

Good selection of dishes. I don't know if it's really authentic cuisine. Had chicken Kiev with potatoes/salad. Was quite tasty. However, I was missing a sauce with it. The dishes are rather hearty. If you like spicy, you won't find anything here. Service is friendly. Relatively few tables inside and close together, therefore quite loud. Prices are in the mid to high range. A shish kebab skewer with salad costs, for example, E.g. €27.90. A dessert plate €13.90. The cake is very tasty.

All in all a good restaurant with Ukrainian-oriented cuisine. Unfortunately, some dishes are interpreted in a very fancy way and are therefore no longer as authentic, which would have been more in line with my expectations given the name of the restaurant. The service tried hard, but some questions about the dishes could not be answered at all. In addition, you can only reserve certain time slots (2 hours), which I find very uncomfortable.

The food is very tasty, even if I think it's a shame that the Adjapsandali now has buckwheat instead of pearl couscous. So everything is just a single mass, it no longer has any bite and ruins the dish for me. Addendum: I find the price increase extreme Disproportionate. Chicken Kiev now costs almost twice as much as it did 2 years ago. There has been a price increase in the meantime and of course the VAT has increased again, but that would be just €1.86 from the previous €15.50. I find the prices significantly too expensive. I don't know of any other restaurant that has raised prices so much. Definitely a reason for me not to eat here as often anymore.

The two of us were spontaneously there yesterday and, even though we didn't reserve anything, we got a place that we could use for two hours. That's a plus point, as almost nothing is offered these days without a reservation. However, we then had to wait almost an hour for our food because the waitress forgot to pass on our order. Particularly difficult because we only had an hour left to eat. As an apology, we were promised a hot drink on the house, which we could then choose. However, we were again brought the wrong drinks. We then simply said nothing more and simply tried to eat them within 20 minutes so we could leave. The food itself is very tasty, but far too expensive. We also liked the atmosphere itself.

Very nice service. The main course and dessert are delicious and reasonably priced! A bit tight in terms of space but still comfortable.

I just paid 10 euros per portion of bortsch. The menu says 5.90 euros. And 10 euros is really asking too much for what you get. I wasn't used to that from Babushka. Really very blatant rip off!!

Ich war nun schon einige Male dort und war jedes mal begeistert.... Alle dort sehr aufmerksam... freundlich.... Und mal so ganz nebenbei bemerkt war das Essen und auch der Kaffee sehr sehr lecker..... Fuer mein Empfinden eine Ganz tolle Adresse.... So denke ich

Uns hat unser Besuch bei Babuschkas Kitchen sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen war durchweg lecker, besonders die Wareniki in verschiedenen Varianten. Außerdem war das Personal wirklich freundlich.

Un peu cher et pas assez relevé

Das Café an sich ist sehr schön und die Atmosphäre auch. Leider war die Heizung kaputt, und es war sehr kalt. Ein Frühstück für 2 Personen war leider viel zu teuer für die Auswahl. Und man konnte den Preis, der für eine Person nur gilt auf der Karte leider überhaupt nicht erkennen. Wir werden leider nicht nochmal wiederkommen.

Mini ristorantino veramente carino. Ambiente caldo e allegro. Proprietarie gentili... ho preso i blinis ucraini che sono decisamente diversi da quelli russi a cui sono abituata. Buona la birra. Prezzo accettabile per essere in Germania.

Essen sehr lecker, ich habe gebratene, mit Kartoffeln gefühlte Maultaschen ,mit Sahne Soße bestellen. Alle Kellnerinen unglaublich nett. 1 Stern Abzug für Fußboden unebenen, bin gestürzt.

Das war ein hervorragendes Sonntagsfrühstück.
