We lived in Bremen about a year and a half ago, we used to go to this place and eat dumplings and borscht there, we miss it a lot, I hope to come back one day and visit, they make one of the best borschts and dumplings that my wife and I have ever eaten. If you are in Bremen, you must try it. The owners of the shop are Ukrainians, very friendly people.

We hired Bab Maria to cater our wedding and it was the best decision we could have made! From start to finish the service was simply great. The Ukrainian food was a real hit with our guests - everyone loved the authentic and delicious dishes. The entire process was absolutely smooth. The event took place outside when the weather was nice and the delivery was on time to the minute. The food was perfectly prepared and served to the point. What was particularly impressive was that the "Bab Maria" team brought the dishes, set everything up professionally and picked them up again after the celebration - we didn't have to worry about anything! We had two detailed meetings beforehand where we discussed the menu and the process in detail. The team was very attentive and responded to all of our requests. This preparation absolutely paid off because everything went exactly as planned on the day of the wedding. We can highly recommend “Bab Maria” – if you are looking for a catering service with delicious food and all-round carefree service, you have come to the right place!

Everything was simply top-notch! As a Ukrainian, I can certify the authenticity of the food served. Highly recommended! The owner is from Russia but speaks Ukrainian (quite good, btw) and supports Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!

I'm kind of at peace with everything. The service is very good, the food is freshly prepared *see picture* beautiful craftsmanship. Tastes excellent. I can only recommend it and give it 5 stars from the bottom of my heart. The salads very fresh. Plus fresh compote. There are plenty of seating options in Markthalle Acht. Employees are very friendly and polite.

These are really delicious pelmeni. Also suitable to take with you. I go every 2-3 weeks and the quality is consistently high. The pelmeni are handmade on site. Really great! I also observed how an older Adria had her food brought to her table despite self-service. That was very friendly, so great service.

Food was nice, good value for money. I had the cooked dumplings with potato filling, the portion size was fulfilling but I think it could be cooked for longer time, the dough is thick and was slightly uncooked. But overall good food.

Today we had the most delicious lunch to eat at home in BAB' Maria's "little sister" (Am Schwarzen Meer/corner of Hemelinger Straße) (a little bit of each). Everything was super freshly prepared and everyone enjoyed it very much. The owner generously sized the portions and was very friendly. Thanks for a great lunch! We will be back!

Very delicious Ukrainian food that tastes just like at home. We ordered a big plate of Borshch which was enough for 2 people and varenyky with potatoes served with sour cream and salads. As a dessert we tried syrnyky and home made kompot. We were very satisfied with all dishes and can highly recommend the food and service. Very tasty Ukrainian dishes! Evertyhing we ordered was really tasty and homey. We can recommend Borshch and fried Varenyky with potato and Kompot. Syrnky desert was also very tasty.

Today we were at Markthalle 8 in Bremen and luckily I chose Grandma Maria's Ukrainian snack from the great selection on offer. I had the pelmeni, which were formed with a lot of effort and great craftsmanship, with garlic sour cream and a wonderfully fresh cabbage salad variation including beetroot. The taste is excellent and the aroma is simply great and convincing. I would happily eat this plate again at any time and can only wholeheartedly recommend it. Here, fresh, subtly seasoned ingredients and a lot of passion are used to create a top meal that impresses with its unfussy taste and simply represents soul food at its best. Thanks for that - always happy again. ❤️

Das Essen ist authentisch, es gibt aber auch moderne Abwandlungen, wenn man diese wünscht. Der Service ist sehr kinderfreundlich. Es gibt auch Kinderportionen. Leider ist der Stand hinter den Glastüren etwas versteckt.

Ich war zum Mittagessen dort und habe die Pelmeni bestellt. Sie waren sehr lecker, mit Knoblauch-Schmand, Dill und drei verschiedenen Salaten. Klare Empfehlung

The best place to stop by and have a nourishing meal. My favourites are Borschtsch and Wareniki. The service is very nice, they can speak with you three languages: German, English and Ukrainian. I waited for my meal less than 10 minutes and was very pleased. P.S. They also have quite tasty but strange at first lemonades, worth trying.

Unglaublich leckere Buchweizenbowl mit frischen Zutaten. Sehr netter und zuvorkommender Service. Auf Nachfragen wird stets hilfsbereit eingegangen und wirkt zu keiner Sekunde genervt, auch wenn wartende Kundschaft bereits in der Reihe steht. Die Zubereitung dauerte keine fünf Minuten. Absolute Empfehlung, wenn man sich auf eine neue Erfahrung mit der ukrainischen Küche einlassen möchte.

Нещодавно відвідали Bab Maria і отримали величезне задоволення від їжі. Бо, вона була настільки смачною, естетично красивою, а що найприємніше - порції дууже великі. Наїлися усі. Було по-домашньому смачно, вибір дуже порадував: тут тобі і вареники, і пельмені, і млинці, і деруни, і борщик, усе на будь-який смак. Доня наша була у захваті від пельменів, а ми залюбки скуштували вареники, запили компотиком і наче подумки перенеслися в Україну. Окрема подяка привітному персоналу, такому усміхненому та щирому. Обов’язково прийдемо ще, бо то вже дуууже смачно було)

Das Essen schmeckt wirklich sehr sehr gut! Wir hatten den gemischten Teller mit Varenyky und Pelmeni außerdem Blini. Der Service ist typisch Markthalle mit Selbstbestellung und Selbstabholung. Auch typisch für die Markthalle,je nach Uhrzeit: es kann recht lebhaft sein. 4/5 Sterne, aber das Essen hat 5/5 Sterne verdient.

The owners are Ukrainians. We were able to speak Ukrainian language. We ordered 2 Borscht with some meat and sour cream and dumplings. Everything handmade and side bread with some side salad were delicious. They know how to make a real Ukrainian dishes.

Ich habe Wareniki mit Knoblauchschmand und Salat gegessen. Das Essen wird nach der Bestellung frisch zubereitet. Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt und die Portion ist sehr großzügig bemessen. Ich komme sicher wieder zum Essen zu Bab' Maria.
