Authentic and delicious Katsu Curry freshly sourced in the Nordend.

Went to BakuBaku for the first time today. Service super friendly and accommodating. I ordered the katsu curry and natto (see photo). In terms of taste, it's a smooth one. Like I was in Tokyo again. Unfortunately there isn't much to say about the ambience as they are currently undergoing renovations, but that didn't bother us at all. In any case, it wasn't the last time I was there and I'm looking forward to trying the other dishes on the menu soon.

I had an incredibly delicious Gyo-Don for €12.90 and a Kirin beer for €3.80. The menu is small, but highly recommended, especially for the donburi (rice bowls with meat or fish). The karaage (crispy fried chicken) in particular is a must. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. Children also get their money's worth here and love the tapas, such as the fried shrimp for €2.20. Overall, a top Japanese snack bar that is definitely worth a visit!

A kind of Japanese tapas. Portions to share. Still very good size. Can recommend the bowl with beef. This also makes Japanese scrambled eggs very tasty 😋. The cucumber salad as a starter was refreshing but a bit spicy. Meatball was too expensive for the price but tasty. The beef was super tender and extremely thin. All desserts are with matcha. You could save yourself.

I ordered karaage curry don or lunch menu. The curry and rice are medium-warm but the karaage (3 pieces) are quite cold, around 34°C, so it was no longer crispy. The taste was good, but the serving of warm food would have been nice. It feels that the karaage has been fried for a long time and left at room temperature. Hence the 1-star deduction. My friend ordered Gyudon, the bowl could perhaps be larger because the dish is already full and you can't stir the dish in well, otherwise the whole thing will spill out of the bowl. Portion of Karaage Curry Don was good, but my friend found the Gyudon portion relatively small...

Insanely delicious, thank you for the “Japanese experience”. The Curry Udon dish in particular was a culinary delight!!!

Eat authentically as if you were on vacation :-) The portions are generous and the food is very tasty. Additionally, an appealing wine selection and draft beer, Frankfurt meets Japan done right.

Rice is watery and mushy, with little meat. Ok, it's cheap but not good We won't go there anymore

Oh well. Much expected, perhaps. We have the Dutch oven for two that is advertised everywhere. Was very mediocre and disappointing. Not recommendable.

Nice Izakaya style Japanese restaurant. Delicious appetizers that taste particularly good with a cold beer. Karaage was great and gyudon was also delicious. Good service.

It's a shame, we've been here more often for the vegetarian donburi (bibimbap). Unfortunately, since the menu change, this is no longer available and there is generally no longer a vegetarian Donburi version. That was it for us then :(

The pork chop rice was good, the pork chop was fried very crispy, but the egg liquid was a little lacking. Affordable price

Used to be awesome! Were very regularly ordering through Uber. The new menu card (since 2 weeks) is completely different though and rather bad. Not a single one of what Google mentions here is available anymore (except the Pepsi, lol). New leadership or something :( Edit: I did give the new card a chance of course but the dish that came closestbto what they had before (some karage on rice + extra schnitzel (vs a don with "japanisches Schnitzel before) was now on boring unspiced rice and the schnitzel seemes different too).

Really good! We met here for dinner. The food was excellent and the service was very nice. We will be back. We had reserved online. It wouldn't have been necessary that evening but maybe there was just less going on on Monday.

I've always had problems with Japanese restaurants. Either the food wasn't tasty, or it was too expensive and the portions were smaller. This restaurant surprised me. I ordered a vegetarian salad and udon noodles. It was very tasty and the portion was ok too. There are funny and beautiful pictures in the stairs.

I have been so happy to have my dinner there! Great food, tasty, a true Japanese restaurant (with Japanese people next to me). I'm so sad that I don't have this restaurant here in Bordeaux, France, I'll go there everyday!! And it was really inexpensive. I can only recommendto go there!

Sehr netter Service und die Suppen und Getränke sowie Vorspeisen waren köstlich. Leider war bei allen Reis/Fleischgerichten das Fleisch (Schwein und Huhn) jeweils ungenießbar, sehr faserig, schlecht von der Qualität und Konsistenz. Daher trotz gutem Start leider durch die Hauptspeisen enttäuscht. Sehr schade, dass durchgängig so schlechte Fleischqualität verwendet wird.

Schade, dass ich meist nur für einen Tag in Frankfurt bin, sonst würde ich mich hier durch das ganze Menü probieren. Pota Sala, spicy karaage don und kirin vom Fass waren totemo oishikatta und authentisch japanisch.

Alles war super!!) The place is perfect for having lunch 🥗 or dinner 🥘, the food is soooo tasty and fresh , we should definitely come back to try another dishes :) Also personal and atmosphere is very nice and pleasant. So hard to leave this great place ! 🤗

Das Essen schmeckt grundsätzlich schon ganz gut. Wir hatten einen vegetarischen Udonnudelsalat und einen Karaage Curry DON. Der Udonnudelsalat war sehr klein und entsprach von der Portion eher einer Vorspeise, entsprechend hatte ich danach noch hunger gehabt. Der Curry war von der Portion her okay, dazu muss man sagen, dass wir beide jeweils noch ein Ei dazu bestellt haben und Kimchi. Da das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht unseren Erwartungen entsprochen hat, würden wir ingesamt nur 3* geben. Der Service war aber sehr nett.

Essen ist in Ordnung, wirkte aber teilweise etwas lieblos zusammengesetzt. Misosuppe und Tee waren aber sehr lecker. Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam.

Zum Mittagessen. Mein Lachs war ein wenig zu durch. Werde es jedoch nochmal aufsuchen. Service extrem gut und freundlich. Yuzuka Limonade überraschend unsüß was sehr angenehm war.

Spontan zur Mittagszeit ein Tisch bekommen. Bestellt und serviert wurde das Spciy Kaarage Don zügig. Geschmacklich ist das Fleisch hervorragend gewesen.

Karaage is outstanding there. Definitely a recommendation. I love to be there either for lunch or dinner. Though unfortunately for summer times it has only indoor seatings.

Spent a day in Frankfurt after my plane connection was delayed. The lady at the bar was very nice and the food was fantastic. I even got a couple free beer tokens due to an ongoing deal, it is a shame I won't be back in Frankfurt to redeem them. I strongly recommend this place.

Leckeres und authentisches Essen.

Im japanischen Restaurant B-Gourmet konnte ich ein köstliches Curry genießen. Die Konsistenz war perfekt, und der Geschmack hervorragend ausbalanciert. Aber auch alle anderen Gerichte waren sehr lecker. Authentische nicht unbedingt sehr schicke Atmosphäre und freundliches Personal. Absolut empfehlenswert für Freunde von japanischem Curry

Essen na ja. Habe schon besser gegessen, schmeckt sehr nach Zusatzprodukten. Service sehr freundlich.

Habe nun schon etliche Male hier bestellt und es schmeckt einfach jedes Mal! Habe es erstmalig durch eine Uber Aktion probiert, sonst hätte ich wahrscheinlich wegen des Restaurantnamens nie probiert. Das Essen schmeckt hochwertig und wie selbstgemacht. Probiert habe ich bisher das Curry (mit und ohne Karaage), das Katsu Don, das Stamina Don und das Nori Ben. Die Preise sind auch total angemessen und fair! Bin echt in kürzester Zeit Stammkunde geworden und hoffe dass Geschmack und Qualität auch künftig beibehalten werden!

I lived in London and Japanese restaurants in Germany are generally far better than in the UK. This is probably one of the best for both quality and price.

A good place for a quick and light lunch at a reasonable price. A bento don is only €10 but it will most likely not make you full. Karaage was a bit plain for my taste, and the kimchi wasn’t spicy. Overall, affordable, delicious, and somewhat plain.
