Good Greek restaurant. Very friendly and attentive staff.

Amazing atmosphere! I've never seen such a large portion of delicious food before. A really great place, I'd love to come back. (If you can't eat as much as I can, then you should order the senior portion.)

Athos Restaurant has become my go-to Greek restaurant. No matter what I order here, it's always freshly prepared. You can tell they don't use any convenience products.

The meat and taste varied greatly – I had bad luck with the fillet, it was unfortunately overcooked – the skewers, however, were excellent. The staff was attentive, but there was an extremely strong smell of food throughout the entire restaurant.

I recently visited this Greek restaurant, and while the portions are generous and the food is tasty, most of it arrived almost lukewarm. I ordered the house platter with different kinds of meat — some were already cold by the time I started eating, and the chicken steaks were quite tough. On my second visit, I ordered Senior Gyros Teller , but it looked and tasted as if the food had been reheated or made from leftovers. It really felt like a bit of a “recycling” situation. To be honest, I’m not sure this is truly a Greek restaurant. I’ve been to Cyprus, and the food there was quite different. Still, the portions here are impressive, and the presentation is nice. Unfortunately, I just wasn’t lucky — either my food was cold, or my portion was smaller than others. The flavor is okay, but nothing special.

We were there last night with our 12 guests. Everything was as usual, as we know it from Margarethenhöhe. We were very satisfied, as always. Excellent service. It's great that you have a restaurant on Maggihöhe.

We wanted to eat there on a recommendation. Unfortunately, when we arrived at 7 p.m., there were no tables available—despite our reservation. After waiting patiently for 20 minutes, we were informed that it might take some time. We then went to our "regular Greek restaurant" and, as always, had a very good meal there. We won't be making a second attempt.

The food is usually delicious, provided they have the dish you want. The service is terrible. Arrogant, condescending waiters who don't do their jobs well.

Actually, an above-average Greek restaurant. Quite tasty food, served hot and promptly even for a larger group, but the "finish" was substandard! A portion of tzatziki for a group of about 30 people was apparently not paid for. The owner behaved anything but professionally in this regard. Instead of politely bidding the guests goodbye despite the profit of well over €1,500 and waiving the €4.50 for the tzatziki, he... (I don't want to put this into words). If it had been a main course, if it had been presented in a friendly manner, the guest would certainly have accepted it. Just one thing! This behavior is completely unacceptable. For me, it's a reason not to dine there again. My tip alone (my own fault?!?) made up for his "loss"!

I've rarely experienced worse service. 45 minutes for the first drink (!). Consequently, even longer for the meal. No apologies or anything like that. No ouzo, either, like at all the other tables. Conclusion: no tipple and no further visit. The food was also just so-so.

My favorite Greek restaurant. The meat is top-notch, with a delicious smoky grill flavor, but not burnt. The service and so on are also top-notch. I'd happily go back!

We spontaneously arrived with six adults and two children, having made a reservation by phone 30 minutes in advance. The service was super friendly and very attentive with the children. The food was very good, with many grilled specialties. I also had stuffed calamari, and the spinach filling was also very well seasoned. We only saw the terrace briefly (it was raining), but it looked quite nice. Parking is very limited, so you may have to park on the side streets.

We had a gyro plate and scampi. It was delicious and plentiful. 😊 I highly recommend it!

Always full of regulars, this rustic restaurant has a rustic atmosphere. They try to fill the long wait times with plenty of ouzo. The food is quite good. Reservations are essential.

The best Greek restaurant ever!!! We and many of our friends have been coming to visit several times a month for years. No matter what you order from the menu, everything tastes fantastic! The service is absolutely top 👍 Everything is there in no time, all the waiters are super attentive. No matter how you “restructure” your order - (without but with this or that one. No problem at all! ) Of course it takes a little longer depending on how busy it is, as in every restaurant. I can't understand the people who complain here that they waited 60 minutes for their food. All notorious complainers should slip into the role of a waiter, put on an apron and work in pairs to provide food and drink to almost 100 people. That would be amusing... So always be fair. As I said, whether indoors or outdoors in the summer, for us there is only one Greek = Athos! 1000 thanks to the whole team for the great food 🥣 and the top 👍 service! And also for the feeling of being with friends.

We've eaten there several times. Unfortunately, we were disappointed several times. Both in terms of service and food. The ambience...well...after a renovation it has become brighter and friendlier. Uniform seating outside. Make something happen again. After our last visit we were now pleasantly surprised by the better service and the food was good. I miss a bit of Greek music and the lighting could be a bit dim, otherwise okay.

A really good Greek. The food is very tasty and fresh. You'll always be full here and I'm a very good eater. The conditions here are particularly friendly and regular guests always remember what their favorite dishes are. I can highly recommend the shop to anyone who enjoys Greek cuisine. Toilet facilities are very clean. Prices are absolutely clear. In summer you can also sit outside.

The restaurant was full when we visited on a Friday evening. But the staff is always very friendly. Our food was fresh and tasty and totally reasonably priced. We would love to come back...

Food without taste. Unfortunately the fries were completely fried to death. And it just took far too long, even though the store wasn't even full. The table opposite didn't taste it either.

Unfortunately, it wasn't convincing. Very average in all respects. The calamari filled with spinach and feta was the best thing that evening. The dish "Magarethen Höhe", on the other hand, was chip shop level. Although the bifteki was still raw, which is probably a rare occurrence in a snack bar. A look at the table next to us revealed: apparently not here. Bifteki also still raw. The calamari rings were good, but must have been frozen. The ambience is from another time. Just like the menu. Greetings from the 80s. The staff tried hard, but overall everything took far too long. You can do it once, but it's not a highlight.

We were there on a Wednesday evening with 8 people. The restaurant was full to the last seat. Yes, we had to wait a little longer for the food, but we made good use of the time. All dishes were delicious and special requests were no problem. Gladly again.

Athos is a very busy restaurant. And rightly so. The wait staff is professional and friendly and the food is excellent. Typically Greek, there is a lot on the plate and the meat is of very good quality. Ouzo before and after is also part of it. Recommendation: Feta Athos style and then the Athos plate for 2 And if it's too much, you can have it packed up. If you want to feast on meat, you definitely have to stop by.

Food great, service great and ambience great! Simply recommended! Went there again yesterday, November 9th, 2024, and I have to say that nothing has changed in terms of the food or the staff. Friendly, accommodating, not intrusive and the fried onions on the liver were simply brilliant.

Went there to eat on recommendations from friends. Staff very attentive and friendly. Cozy atmosphere. The menu offers everything you would expect from a Greek restaurant The food itself was very good and tasted well. And also at a fair price/performance ratio. There were six of us there and it is advisable to reserve a table. We will definitely come back and can only recommend the restaurant to everyone.

We were here with 7 girls for dinner and drinks this evening. We're always trying out new places. I liked it and the food was great. Above all I like the gyros crispy and that's it.👍 Maybe opening a few windows would have been good since the air wasn't that good. One of us mentioned it but nothing happened 🫣 All in all, a successful evening and we would be happy to come back.

A great restaurant with delicious food. The restaurant itself is a little old-fashioned and the chairs and benches inside are a little worn out. But it doesn't matter, we'd still like to come back.

Very good Greek, which far exceeded my expectations. The staff accommodating and very friendly. The gyro was tender and juicy, the rest was also buttery and not done. You can still get quality meat here. Portions more than generous, and an ouzo as a welcome greeting❤️

Very friendly service and a brilliant ambience. The food tasted excellent but the waiting time between dishes was a bit too long. It took 60 minutes from the starter to the main course. That was a bit too long. The restaurant was very busy. But we were there at 5:30 p.m. The main course didn't arrive until around 6:55 p.m.🤔 That's why only 4 stars.

Top restaurant of Greek cuisine. It's good to be here. Right by the forest and in the heart of the old Margarethenhöhe. This beautiful old settlement that you can stroll through so beautifully. A village in the big city as I've always said. The staff is very friendly. The kitchen very good. You just have to go there.

Went there last night with 5 boys, 1 table was reserved. We were thrilled 🤩 Food, drink and service were all perfect 👌. I can only recommend it, including a beer garden in the summer.
