I've known the restaurant since it opened, and that was over 25 years ago. We still come, that should say it all.

Everything's perfect, good food, good atmosphere, good staff, but €24 for gyros with souvlaki and sauce without a side salad is a really steep price.

⭐ Rating: 3 out of 5 stars There were six of us and we had a pleasant evening at the restaurant. The wait was absolutely reasonable, and the service impressed us with its friendliness and attentiveness – the staff were truly accommodating. The food itself was unfortunately rather average. While the portions were sufficient, the taste fell short of expectations. Especially considering the value for money, we would have preferred more quality or refinement – ​​overall, we felt it was a bit too expensive for what was offered. Nevertheless, the pleasant atmosphere, the friendly service, and the fact that the restaurant was busy saved the evening. You can tell the dedication is put into the work here – and you can feel it as a guest.

I was there years ago and again today. The food and drinks arrived within half an hour. I was a bit surprised that the food came so quickly. The rice was a bit bland, but otherwise we thought the food was delicious. After that, no one came to our table for an hour and a half. The plates were cleared. That would have been an opportunity to ask if everything was okay. A Coke bottle was cleared away, which was next to an empty glass. Even then, we could have asked if we wanted another drink. People walked past the table countless times, but we were never asked if we wanted anything else. I raised this criticism when paying. They told me they could have let us know. I know the restaurant industry has suffered because of the coronavirus. But is it too much to ask to check if there are empty glasses on the table and ask if you'd like another drink? My last problem was the same situation. Which is why I'm not going there anymore.

Very nice and large outdoor terrace. Today, four of us redeemed the Vspots voucher and were very pleasantly surprised. The two platters with various delicacies were really good, and the Mythos was ice cold. Overall, top-notch.

Very tasty food, a slightly different kind of Greek, upscale and unique. Prices are rather high. We've had some lovely evenings outside in nice weather. We can recommend this restaurant.

Alongside the Eleo 1220 in Neheim, our favorite in the region.

We returned for the first time since the renovations and were unfortunately very disappointed in many aspects. I had used a VSpots voucher to buy a Mezedes trip with a cold and warm appetizer platter, as well as gyros and pan-fried chicken. Unfortunately, everything came on one plate, meaning there was no distinction between the individual courses, and a really tiny pan with three pieces of chicken in it. In my opinion, this didn't fit the bill for a gourmet trip for around €28. We had also ordered additional starters and main courses, which were all served together. This was also an absolute no-go, as the starters in particular were clearly defined as such on the menu. The pork fillet on the grilled plate we ordered was simply leathery and tough. After the food was served, there was no further attention from the service, i.e., no one asked about more drinks, etc., and I had to ask about 20 minutes after we had all finished eating if we could pay. Sorry, but that wasn't good and I don't recommend it for the future.

We visited Akropolis for the first time in a while. We really enjoyed it. My husband and I are fans of appetizers, so we ordered a variety. All were delicious, including the Greek sangria. A successful "tapas evening." I immediately made a reservation for my birthday. Thanks also to the service. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating.

The best Greek restaurant in the area. In addition to the classic Greek grilled dishes, the meze (small appetizers) are especially recommended. When the weather is nice, the large beer garden is also a great place to sit. The service is also super friendly. We'd love to come back.

Great renovation! The food was as good and plentiful as always. Service was good, as always, but sometimes a bit hectic...be sure to make a reservation in advance - it's almost always packed...always happy to come back.

Update: Another visit on July 9, 2025, this time in the beer garden. And again 5 stars, everything was perfect. The food was once again a pure delight. Efcharisto! Dinner with two people. Excellent contact beforehand. Very friendly and attentive service. Plenty of food and, above all, delicious. A good selection on the menu, including dishes that deviate from the usual gyros. Excellent! We had bread with dips and ouzo beforehand. At the end, we were very satisfied and more than full. Thanks to the team and all the best!

Our favorite Greek restaurant. We enjoy going there and have been trying different dishes every now and then for some time now. So far, there have only been pleasant surprises. Update from July 9, 2025 We've been planning to come back here for a while. And it was worth it. The food arrived exactly as it should and quickly. Everything was very tasty and plentiful. The service was first-class, friendly, and cheerful. Furthermore, the renovation has really added a lot of charm and elevated the restaurant to another level. The price has been repeatedly criticized here. I think I was happy to pay the asking price for what was offered; it was definitely worth it. Poly Oreo, efharisto.

I'm not a big fan of Greek food, but the menu at this restaurant is simply different than usual! The appetizers, in particular, are truly amazing and unusual for a Greek restaurant. The service was excellent; very friendly and quick! I definitely recommend this restaurant!

The reserved table wasn't available at the booked time. It was very crowded, both inside and out. It was unbearably hot inside later on. The food was good: grilled salmon with vegetables and rosemary potatoes! The garlic bread was highly recommended, a Greek bruschetta, so to speak. The Greek sangria was also delicious. There were 10 of us, and everyone got their food at the same time! The young, friendly, and funny staff. Highly recommended.

A relatively spacious Greek restaurant (with an attached bowling alley) in the heart of Unna-Uelzen, with a cozy, lively atmosphere. Recently modernly furnished and decorated, the dining room is well-lit and tastefully presented. Restaurant Akropolis has long been a crowd-puller, attracting customers through generous portions of the dishes and the exceptional, very engaging friendliness of the service staff and the owner family. The dishes on the compact but varied daily menu (although not all of them are always available) deserve special mention, as do the excellent Mediterranean appetizers. The dishes are rarely too salty; the prices are somewhat on the higher end of the regional market. A place that's always a pleasure to visit!

I love it there ☺️ It's simply wonderful that they offer so many meze (Greek appetizers). Even as a vegetarian 🌱, I always find more than enough here. There's a nice place to sit both inside and outside in the beer garden. I like to meet up here with friends or family, and we have a sharing dinner where all the dishes are simply placed in the middle of the table and everyone helps themselves.

Order the fries here, they're delicious! We were here today and both the food and the service were top-notch!

For us, this is the best Greek restaurant in Unna. A large selection of mezze and main courses. A beautiful terrace, friendly and attentive service. We'll be happy to return.

The best Greek of all! The restaurant in Unna is beautiful and the food is unique (cheese balls and kritikes patates with bifteki are a DREAM).

The gyro was tasty, but almost a little too dry. The Suflaki was a poem and the Greek fries, very good. The tzatziki could have had more steam and spice. The pepperoni is tasty but not spicy. Another highlight is the delicious Greek lemonade. The service is attentive, sometimes perhaps a little too much. All in all, it wasn't the last time we were here, we can easily recommend it. Finally, respect for what the kitchen had to do during our time.

You immediately notice that you've hit the jackpot: the staff are friendly even when they're at full capacity and ensure smooth and warm service. Despite the location in a residential area in the suburbs of Unna, the indoor and outdoor areas were almost completely occupied. The portions are large, even after a day of hiking and being hungry, we would be perfectly full with our teenage gluttons. The fillets of all kinds and especially the liver were fantastically tender - but the salads are also impressive. The hygiene in the sanitary area is also top. Absolute recommendation from me, coming here is a real hit!!!

The service was nice. During the “greetings from the kitchen” we were not told what was in the dips. The tzatziki didn't taste like "homemade", rather artificial. You're used to something different from your vacation in Greece. The dressing in the salad tasted very much like “ready dressing” and the chicken breast in the salad tasted like industrial production (pressed meat). Conclusion: although the restaurant is well rated, we were disappointed with our visit.

I've eaten Greek before, but rarely here. The atmosphere is perfect, the team is super nice – and above all, the selection and quality of the food really impressed me. The meat was really juicy and the portions were more than decent. Our plate for three would have easily fed four people. I'll definitely come back. My highlight, the beer mugs come out of the refrigerator and are frozen ice cold 🍻

Price performance top! Nice staff, nice owners. We are here once a month, a must! Even in these difficult times, everything is going as planned here. After the renovation, another increase. The service, friendliness, cleanliness, selection and quality of the food are unsurpassable. Absolutely top!!! The ambience is modern and stylish. And the new ventilation system is awesome. No smell of food in clothes. I would give more stars if it were possible. Keep it up!!! We would love to come back!!!

We've been to the restaurant several times over the last few months. There is no other Greek restaurant nearby at this level. There are currently no criticisms that could affect the dining experience. The service is also excellent. The ambience invites you to feel good, even if the "German eye" notices a few little things here and there. All in all, highly recommended.

We had dinner at your restaurant today with a friend on his birthday. For this special occasion we had reserved a table for twelve people and were aware that this table would be available for two hours. Unfortunately, the evening was anything but pleasant. Even the start was disappointing: it took an unusually long time for anyone to come to our table and take the order - for both the starters and the main courses. When the starters were served, they were missing for three people, even though we had all ordered one. There were also problems with the main courses. The wait was long and my dish was even completely forgotten. While everyone else was already eating, I had to keep waiting. My food finally arrived about five minutes before the end of the reserved time - possibly because there were a lot of takeaway orders being processed at the same time. About ten minutes before the reserved time was up, we ordered coffee and espresso because we knew we should leave soon. At this point I had only just started my meal. Then came the most unpleasant part of the evening: the waitress asked us in a sharp and unfriendly tone to clear the table because the next guests were about to arrive. My friend, who was celebrating his birthday, politely pointed out that my food had just arrived and asked where I should eat. The waitress then replied in a very inappropriate tone whether he would speak like that to his wife at home. We have never encountered such disrespectful and condescending behavior in a restaurant. Although the omissions and delays were clearly not our fault, all responsibility was shifted to us. Of course the bill was paid in full - my friend took over. We left the restaurant disappointed, I left my food behind. The evening, which was supposed to be nice, was massively marred by the way we were treated. One thing is certain for us: we will not visit the restaurant again.

We went there on a Thursday evening, right from the opening at 5 p.m. There were already people waiting, and it was already busy. We were there for about 2.5 hours, and it was consistently busy. I therefore recommend making a reservation in advance, especially if you have a large group. The menu alone raised high expectations. Very nicely designed with Greek names and lovely sayings. Without saying anything, we were immediately served slices of bread with three different sauces: a herb dip, a garlic dip, and a curry dip. All three were perfectly to my taste. We shared a small appetizer: fried potato slices in a white sauce, very excellent, all flambéed together. For the main course, I had pork medallions on a skewer with spicy Mykonos sauce and a side of fries. The fries were interesting; they were curved, fried potato slices. Very tasty. The Mykonos sauce was described as slightly spicy, and it certainly lived up to that. If the spiciness makes your nose run, I'm very satisfied :D The meat was a bit tough to cut and could have taken a bit longer, but perhaps that's how it's eaten in Greece, and my personal taste is different. However, the meat tasted excellent. I can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant and will be back with my wife soon. My only criticism: We had a nice seat in a separate area at the back left. There are many tables in the middle, some of which are separated by a partition. I wouldn't want to sit there, especially when the restaurant is busy. I can well imagine it being very noisy with people sitting all around you. I can understand the economic rationale behind it, but it does come at the expense of the ambience.

Always worth a visit! A slightly different Greek cuisine where there is more than just typical gyros. Just great :) Even during the week you should reserve in advance, which works great online!

I recently went to the Acropolis for the first time with a friend. What was appealing to us was that they had given the restaurant a new design and the dishes were traditional and yet somehow “reinvented”. The restaurant is very different from many other Greek restaurants and I find it unique. We would definitely come back, especially since they also have a bowling alley and that offers a good opportunity to have a great stay with family and friends.

(E.g. gyros not greasy, chicken still juicy, bifetiki well grilled, etc.) The homemade "fries" were a surprise and highly recommended. Gladly again.

The food is very tasty and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The waitresses are nice and try hard. But one thing is a mystery to me and gave the evening a bad aftertaste. We reserved a table for 2 at 5:30 p.m. According to my reservation confirmation (e-mail), the table was available for 2 (!) hours. While we wanted to choose a dessert, the boss urged us to pay and leave the restaurant because the next guests were already waiting for their table. At this point it was 7 p.m. Anyone who believes the reservation confirmation knows that we were entitled to another 30 minutes. When I asked how that could be, the boss was at a loss and couldn't give a reasonable answer (supposedly something would be different online). I understand that you only have a limited amount of time when the restaurant is fully booked. However, you should stick to the times and not make reservations that you cannot/do not want to stick to.

We were there on a Monday evening and thought there would definitely be a free table. But all tables were occupied - a good sign. After a short wait we had a seat. The starter was very tasty and the main courses were also tasty. We were particularly impressed by the good service and the taste and will definitely come back.

Very tasty food and nice service. However, there are slightly longer waiting times when ordering your first drink. But that was probably because it was quite full. The benches for sitting give a living room feel, but are not quite as ideal for small people. All in all a good time was spent in the restaurant and the food was really good!

I have rarely experienced such nice staff! The starters came super quickly, were lovingly prepared and very tasty. The meat in the main course was very tender and the homemade fries were brilliant. Yes, highly recommended. We were there with 10 people, for some the beer took too long (about 20 minutes) I can only speak for myself. Very friendly service, attractive, clean atmosphere. I ordered the salmon steak, 2 could have eaten it. Very generous portions at a fair price. First there was bread (delicious, I'm guessing homemade?) with 3 dips. We all enjoyed the food very much. We'll be back :-)
