We were here on a short vacation and were looking for a good Greek restaurant. We ate very tasty food. Meat quality was outstanding. The service impeccable. If we didn't live 300km away, we would definitely visit more often.

We came here for a few days of vacation, the food was great, the service was excellent, if it had more stars, I would have given it a very beautiful and perfect environment, highly recommended...🙂

Super nice staff, great food, responded to the special salad requests immediately and without any complications. Fast service, cozy atmosphere...we strongly recommend a visit!

The service was very nice. The only strange thing is that the online menu has completely different prices than on site. I mentioned it...she asked again and said: this card wasn't from you. I didn't say anything more about that. Exactly the same address can be seen there and also the telephone number. This is misleading.

We quickly satisfied our appetite for gyros with metaxa sauce and gratinated cheese and were thrilled because of the quick implementation and the delicious taste! Thanks!!!

The best combination of gyros and lamb I have ever eaten. And those were some... Plus a very good Köstritzer. The staff is I can only recommend the table at the counter. Supplies are secured there.

good main courses but unfortunately not much else. Starters poor with baked rolls and little kick. Service good. The ambience varies depending on where you sit. The back room opposite the toilets is not that nice.

It's a shame that you can't give 0 stars here, we came without a reservation, we had to wait a moment, two guests came after us who also didn't have a reservation, both of them were told that nothing was available, but the other two were still allowed to sit at a small table take a seat at the bar and we were sent away again, simply outrageous. Not recommended this restaurant.

We were only here after 8:30 p.m. and still got warm food. The service was very friendly and quick. The food tasted good. The atmosphere in the garden behind the house was very cozy. Highly recommended.

A really great restaurant, in historical walls. The food and wine were really good. Very friendly and attentive service. The food was impressive in quality and quantity. We sat in the backyard on the outdoor terrace, that's all we can do. That's why I deducted a star. Otherwise we were very satisfied. The price-performance ratio is not only appropriate but fair. We felt very comfortable and would like to come back again.

The two of us were there very spontaneously on a Sunday. There was a lot of space in the courtyard which is really nice. The service was very friendly at the beginning and the food and drinks came quickly. We both had the gyros gratinated, which came very well prepared. The sauce with the soft cheese was delicious, but for both of us the gyro was cut too thick and wasn't crispy enough. Still, it was very tasty. Unfortunately, the waitress cleared my plate, which was empty, while my companion was still eating. Prices are top. Ambiance is great.

Great restaurant - we have been eating there often for over 30 years. We have also had family celebrations in Athens - always great in the beer garden, in the cellar - new dishes on the menu, always nice and friendly - very good portions and super tasty -

We recently dined at this restaurant. We would like to describe our experience from the beginning. First of all, we came across this restaurant through the positive Google reviews, but unfortunately we couldn't find any online presence. The question whether a visit with a dog was possible was promptly answered positively by phone. Based on this information, we made our way to the restaurant. There were enough free parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. The welcome in the restaurant was very friendly, although the loud music was immediately noticeable. The ambience left a lot to be desired which detracted from the first impression. Once a seat was found, the food was quickly handed out and the drink order was taken. The delivery of this followed promptly with an aperitif. In addition to the delivery of the drinks, the food order was taken straight away. The staff seemed professional and friendly. It felt like less than 10 minutes later that the two main courses arrived, which unfortunately looked like they had been warmed up straight away. None of the dishes were convincing in terms of taste. During our visit, the service staff increasingly displayed unprofessional behavior, which made the visit entertaining but did not contribute to our well-being. We then quickly received the bill, which was significantly too high for the quality of the food. We were offered a nightcap and said a friendly goodbye. The restaurant is characterized by its particularly friendly approach to children and four-legged friends.

Unfortunately the food disappointed us a bit. Some of the grilled meat tasted like really old burnt fat. As if the grill hadn't been cleaned in days and that's exactly how it tasted. The gyros and tzatziki were great. The service was great as always! But I also have to say that the food was better.

Without exaggeration I can say that I haven't been to such a good Greek restaurant for a long time! The food was simply delicious, as was the service and ambience! Gladly again!

We were there on February 14 for the first time and the attention was great. The food was very good. We will repeat.

Been here for the first and last time. Unfortunately very disappointing. Vegetarian vegetable platter consisted only of frozen vegetables. I looked in vain for the garlic sauce on the pepperoni. My partner had lamb, which was simply a bone with meat. The boss seemed dismissed and unfortunately there wasn't a bon appetit from the waiter either. It's a shame, I was actually looking forward to a nice birthday meal

Die Bedienung war sehr nett und schnell. Unsere Vorspeise und das Essen meines Partners waren auch sehr gut. Leider hat das eine vegetarische Gericht, das das Restaurant anbietet sehr enttäuscht. Im Grunde war es einfach ein Teller gekochter Tiefkühl-Gemüse-Mischung mit etwas Vorspeisen Salat und Tsatsiki. Kartoffelspalten habe ich separat dazu bestellt. Diese waren sehr lecker mit dem Tsatsiki. Für das Hauptgericht hätte ich mir allerdings lieber einige der vegetarischen Vorspeisen bestellt. Finde die ‚Gemüseplatte‘ kann gediegen vom Menü gestrichen werden, wenn sie nicht auf ansprechende Art und Weise zubereitet wird. Dann hätte ich mir diese Enttäuschung erspart. Die griechische Küche bietet ja durchaus eine große Auswahl an leckeren vegetarischen Speisen.

Essen war sehr gut. Punktabzug für die Außenanlagen. Es besteht Sanierungsbedarf.

Wir waren auf einer Wandertour im Ostharz unterwegs. Nach gut 17 km bergauf und bergab hatten wir (7 Personen) einen Bärenhunger. An unseren Standort Alexisbad und Umgebung konnte uns glücklicherweise kein gastronomischer Betrieb bewirten. Deshalb fuhren wir in das 20 km entfernte Ballenstedt und wurden dort von dem griechischen Restaurant ATHEN überrascht. Freundliche Begrüßung, leckere Speisen und unaufdringlicher jedoch herzlicher Service empfanden wir alle als Wohltat. Alle Preise der Karten waren absolut angemessen. Kompliment an das Team des Hauses und Dank für den schönen Abend.

Sehr leckeres griechisches und nationales Essen. Es gibt hier eine sehr große Karte, die Gerichte die wir hatten waren allesamt sehr schmackhaft. Besonders zu loben ist das Tzaziki, selten so ein leckeres gehabt.

Wir der ICC Bremen haben uns bei Nico sehr wohlgefühlt, das Essen war hervorragend. Ein Besuch ist es wert ! 5+ Wir haben aufgrund der hervorragenden Bewertungen das "Athen" besucht und werden es wegen des durchweg tollen Erfahrung wieder tun. Angefangen bei der überaus freundlichen Begrüßung, äußerst aufmerksamen Angestellten und großartigen essen bis hin zum einzigartigen "frauenouzo" dessen Geheimnis nur Nico kennt. ;) wir waren auch noch auf dem Rückweg von der Gastfreundschaft und Wärme dieses Lokals im Herzen Ballenstedt's überwältigt. Danke ans Team.

Freundlicher Service, angenehme Atmosphäre, gut sortiertes Speise und Getränkeangebot und bei Sonnenschein bietet der Biergarten Ruhe und Entspannung. Es wird mal Zeit, das Ganze hier zu ergänzen: Trotz oft hektischem Gaststättenbetrieb, ist der Empfang stets sehr freundlich und persönlich, Zeit für nette Worte. Am Wochenende sollte man stets reservieren!

Super leckeres Essen,freundliches Personal und tolles Ambiente. Das einzige Manko ist, dass die Tische sehr eng beieinander stehen.Gerade wenn es voll ist,wird es ziemlich eng.Aber daran stört sich bestimmt nicht jeder.

Wir haben ein sehr gutes und reichliches Essen in den gemütlichen Räumen des griechischen Restaurants verzehrt. In einem besonderen historischen Gebäude, an einem Platz, den man als Tourist finden sollte und der Möglichkeit, kostenlos vor dem Haus zu parken. Ein freundlicher Service und für uns ein schöner Abschluss auf unserer Harzrundfahrt.
