Aslan Kebap Haus in Dresden

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The quality of the food was very poor and completely disproportionate to the prices charged. The value for money is clearly unjustified. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant until both the taste and the value offered to guests are improved.

Truly the best doner kebab in Dresden on this side of the Elbe. The man even gave me a discount when I mentioned that his delicious kebab was a little too small for my liking.

I came here because of the good reviews. If the staff weren't so unfriendly, they'd probably have a 5.0 rating. The food was great – the guys were the most unfriendly I've ever seen in a restaurant in Dresden. Sorry – this is unacceptable – you can find good food elsewhere.

Exceptionally good is almost an understatement. By far, truly by a long shot, this is the best kebab for miles around. The Adnan skewer is especially recommended.

This kebab shop comes highly recommended. We stayed in Dresden for four days and were near the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and the food was delicious. We'll definitely visit again if we're ever in the area again.

While the doner kebabs and doner plates taste good, the portions are quite small for the price.

The doner kebab itself tastes good. But nothing special. At other places, the doner size is a child's doner. And on "Doner Day," the cheese costs €1.50 instead of €1. "Because cheese has become so expensive." But only on Thursdays! A new doner shop opened nearby this year at the Konsum supermarket. Definitely the better choice if you're looking for doner kebabs and the like, and aren't expecting a full-fledged restaurant.

I highly recommend it, it's a truly delicious kebab. We'll definitely be back.

I just ordered a regular kebab with meat for €7, but it only came with bread, salad, and, as you can see in the picture, a bit of meat. I don't recommend it at all 😡.

We love eating at Aslan's; the kebabs are always delicious! They also have a seating area like in a restaurant and equally delicious grilled dishes. My favorite kebab for about 7 years. The pizzas are also very good. If there's any baklava left in the evening, they give you some for free! 😊

The hot sauce tasted like ketchup. The meat felt frozen, and the salad was watery.

We had pre-ordered a larger order by phone. It was ready right on time for pickup. The kebab could have had more flavor; it was very bland.

The taste of the kebab is absolutely average. The sauces are bland, the meat is standard minced meat. The salad/cabbage was okay, and the bread was good. The price/performance ratio isn't exactly right.

One of the best kebabs in Dresden!

Nicely paid the price for the halloumi dürüm and got a regular dürüm. Of course, it wasn't until we got home that we noticed it was a takeaway. The fries (for the kid) were soggy, half-cooked, and without salt. Once and never again. A real shame. The standard kebab was fine. Nothing fell out because it wasn't overstuffed.

We've been coming to Aslan for kebabs almost every week for a good 1.5 years. It always tastes exceptionally good; the sauce and grilled vegetables are a fantastic combination. They recently started offering fillet meat on Fridays for a small surcharge. And I have to say, it's perhaps the best kebab I've ever eaten. Even if it were a bit more expensive, I'd still go for it because you can tell the meat is simply excellent. If there were 6 stars, I'd give it 6 :)

We were on vacation in Dresden and wanted to try kebab in Germany, my wife, child and I found this place based on reviews. The only thing that matched the reviews was the portion size, they were really big. But everything else was terrible, the lavash was overcooked and dry, the vegetables were fresh but cut very large, there was little sauce and you could hardly feel it. We ordered a schnitzel with French fries and salad for our child, the schnitzel was not bad and the potatoes too. But the worst thing was that upon arrival at the hotel my wife and I had food poisoning. The staff was friendly, the prices were average.

The food is very tasty, fresh, beautifully presented, and truly deserves 6 stars. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the ambiance doesn't quite match the outstanding quality of the food, but it's fine, as one would expect. If the ambiance were adapted to match the top quality of the food, the overall concept would be truly perfect.

The name is like something out of Narnia, which is why we went there. But besides the good name, the kebab is also very good and tasty. Service is good.

Highly recommended! The ambiance is pleasant – friendly staff, plenty of space to sit outside in the summer, but there are also comfortable seats inside. Food: The starter was a well-rounded salad, which quickly attracted flies, so I had to eat it quickly. The sauces were excellent: the tzatziki was creamy and fresh, the slightly spicy salsa was pleasantly spicy, and my favorite was a carrot-like dip – simply delicious. The main course, an Adana kebab, arrived very quickly and was beautifully presented: a lovely combination of rice, carrots, grilled vegetables, and wonderfully seasoned, juicy meat. Value for money: €19 is absolutely reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. Service: Very friendly, attentive, and competent service. I'll definitely be back!

Ate the doner kebab plate, it was very tasty. The doner kebab wrap was also delicious. Friendly and fair prices. €11.50 for the doner kebab plate with rice. Plenty of seating. I'd be happy to go again.

My absolute recommendation. Very attentive service, a tidy, clean, and timelessly beautiful dining room, and most importantly, high-quality and delicious food. There were four of us with two children (8 and 2), and the waiters always took the time to anticipate our little one's every need. We were very happy. We would love to come back. Good kebab. Whenever we're nearby, we like to stop here for a quick bite. The staff is always friendly. There's enough space to eat in. However, the prices have risen dramatically. It makes you think twice about whether and what to eat.

If you don’t speak German ordering may be a bit difficult 😅but the staff are very friendly and the food is so good I took kebab with fries and a Fanta . The parking is free for 1 hour and you can order before or after. my favourite staff is solen, she is very kind and can speak English with a German accent. Overall 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It used to be very good and inexpensive, but today you can't even get Mix Dürum!

Highly recommended. The staff is friendly, the food is prepared quickly and tasty. And the fact that you can pay by card (at least from € 20) in this 'cash industry' really appeals to me. The fact that you can sit outside is also very pleasant. I deducted one star because, in my opinion, the portions were significantly smaller. So the P/L ratio is okay, but nothing more. We would still come back.

Ordered two Dürüm today and were dissatisfied. In my entire life I have never eaten a dürüm or kebab that was so little filled and was really flabby because of it. Really stingy with the filling and also with the sauce. The Dürüm tasted okay, but was very dry (despite having little content :D) because it had almost no sauce at all. I'll just wait and see what the next reviews say until I order something from Aslan again.

Absolute top address for kebab lovers in Dresden. We were here at lunchtime and the shop is really packed. The order was taken quickly and it took about 20 minutes for the food to be served, as lunchtime is really busy. I think I paid €17 for the kebab plate (a side dish of freshly baked flatbread) with ayran, which is totally fine for the quality and size of the portion. Clear recommendation from us.

Aslan Kebap & Grill in Johannstadt is a slightly better kebab shop. Unfortunately, the sparse furniture detracts from the overall atmosphere. Dark brown tables and chairs without any decoration and seating comfort like a nail. The friendly service, the food and the charcoal grill (you can't smell it) in the dining room make it all worth it. The prices are in the normal range for restaurants.

If you want a good kebab in Dresden, especially for tourists. Come over. You won't be disappointed.

The Adana Dürüm and the Köfte Kebab were the absolute highlight. I can only recommend it.

For us in Johannstadt this is once again the best kebab and grill restaurant/snack bar. A few years ago the taste in Aslan wasn't quite as tasty anymore (I can't say why, some sauce or spice had spoiled the taste) but this has changed enormously and this restaurant, in which you can also eat You can celebrate (there isn't just kebab and dürüm), it has evolved and developed further, the service is always friendly, the prices are right, the quality of the food is very good - especially at the grill... I would like to think: we can do it just recommend it is always worth a visit.

I like to eat pizza there from time to time and have never been disappointed. Standard order is vegetarian pizza and Sucuk pizza. Yummy!

Absolutely high quality kebab! It was very tasty and the portion was generous. The bread apparently was homemade, which unfortunately opened at the bottom after a few bites. Ambience nice and clean. There is also kebab Hawaii.

Aslan has built up a super location near Uniklanikum, CRTD, and Bcube DZNE. The staff is courteous and friendly, but sometimes painfully friendly with females. The facility and seating for pickup are generous. The donor loaves are fantastic. The order and delivery service is very convenient; everything arrived quickly, but the food did not impress me; everything tasted the same. They should introduce some variations in cheese. I've eaten better kebabs, durum, pidde, and pizza there in 2019 and 2020. Despite the fact that it is inflation time, the price of a normal Azlan donor is highest in this area. You can do it, but you don't have to. New digital menu screen make this place more attractive and new addition of home made lamb is good in menu. Final Comment You were better, and you have the potential to be the best. :)

Were very disappointed today. We were looking forward to a kebab plate, which we always only order with chicken, but unfortunately that wasn't possible today. According to the statement, chicken meat is only used for special dishes. Unfortunately, we were persuaded to order the kebab plate with veal, as was said. What was offered on the plate was a complete disappointment. No taste, the meat was undercooked and like leather and also cold. Unfortunately we ate it that way. Actually we should have complained about it immediately. This does not correspond to our previous experiences in this restaurant.

The ambience is great and so is the service. Doner kebab was really tasty, just a little too little salad and meat. Next time please add a ladle more, then it will fit and the flatbread won't feel so empty ;) I'd love to come back... thank you very much

We discovered Aslan when my friend next door was in the hospital and have been coming over every few weeks since then :) The quality of the meat, the bread, sauces and especially the grilled vegetables in the kebab are really great!

Unfortunately a disappointment. There was far too little meat in the kebab and the red sauce wasn't really right either. Service very friendly.

We used to enjoy eating here, but not anymore. Unfortunately, there are now other kebab flatbreads that only fit 70% of the previous quantity (for the same price) and which don't taste particularly good.

i visited this place today. on their website it was showing that on Wednesday they have pizza day which means that you will pay a lesser price than the regular price, and according to their menu card they sell small pizza for 8€ and large pizza for 9€. and the offer on website says 5€ for small pizza and 6€ for large pizza. and today we ordered according to this offer on website but this is not the updated version. the new discounted prices are displayed only at the Resturant, which is 6,5€ for small pizza and 7,5€ for large pizza. 🤷‍♀️🙎‍♀️i ordered vegetarian pizza and it was good 😄.

Our regular kebab shop for years!!! Great value for money, we always eat on site, in the summer we like to eat outside for 4th-6th. . Always good for a change, our group recommendation is the 73 in bread with the 80 and an extra bread

The taste of the food was better, especially for the higher price. Otherwise completely fine. The staff is mostly friendly. However, there is one employee who makes me feel very uncomfortable. Especially after he spoke to me privately to ask if I would like to go party with him and where my friends lived. That really doesn't work at all. Since then I have rarely come to Aslan. Friendliness is important but you shouldn't be pushy.
