Asien Palast in Ingolstadt

The Asia Palace is a very large restaurant and offers excellent space for both small and large groups. The buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, including many fried foods, soups, salads (fresh or pre-marinated), sushi, and a large selection of desserts (cakes, soft-serve ice cream, chocolate fountain). Some of the food was rather dry (gyoza, fried rice, satay skewers), and the fruit was canned, but at €25, this was acceptable. Drinks are included in the price, and in addition to fresh juices, you'll find a wide selection of soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, and coffee – more than fair. We were there in a large group and were able to have a good conversation despite the restaurant being full. Everything was very clean and attractively presented. At the various stations, there are signs indicating that you should ask the staff if a dish needs refilling. They seemed a bit grumpy/slightly annoyed when I pointed this out. Personal contact with the staff is hardly possible, as you have to get everything yourself; that should be clear. You pay when you leave the restaurant.

We are actually long-time, loyal customers of the Asia Palace, but we were bitterly disappointed two weeks ago. We had been there for 15 minutes and had just finished our appetizer from the buffet when our daughter vomited (not because of the food), and we had to go home. Since we still had some food from the grill, we asked if we could take it home for sustainability reasons. They then charged us a €10 "fee." I repeatedly pointed out to the manager, who had also shown us to our table, that we had only been there for 15 minutes and that we didn't want to take the food home because we hadn't had enough, but so she wouldn't have to throw it away. We were, and still are, very disappointed by this behavior and the lack of empathy shown for the situation.

We haven't been there in a long time, the atmosphere is great, the staff is great, and the food looks very good.

The buffet food was unfortunately really bad; most of the dishes were tasteless – paying €30 for that on a Sunday is completely unjustified. It's a shame; we'll go to a different restaurant next time. The ambiance was okay, but unfortunately, many things were also broken or outdated.

My friends recently ate there. They went on a whim and got a table right away. The food was good and the service was also fine. However, when it came time to pay, they were charged different (more expensive) prices that weren't on the menu. When they pointed this out, they were met with dismissive and unfriendly attitude.

We got a table, even though I had made a reservation in advance, where everyone was queuing for the buffet and the staff was constantly refilling the table. When we asked if we could move to another table, the response was really rude: "We're full." Then you don't need to reserve a table like that. I felt like it was an emergency table there. The food, some dishes, was way over-salted and very greasy. We've been there often. But we notice that the quality is getting worse each time.

The food was delicious and the place was always well-stocked. It was busy at the beginning, and there were long waits. The all-you-can-eat menu was very good value for money.

Great buffet format, non-alcoholic drinks and two beers included! Great value for money! There really is something for everyone...fresh salads, sushi, hot dishes with a variety of dishes, simply everything! I particularly like that even though the hut is full, the drinks are always refilled immediately. Despite the stress and hectic pace, all the staff are very friendly and helpful! You can also put together your own selection of vegetables and meats and have them cooked, which is simply fantastic! And the dessert buffet is simply amazing...two different chocolate fountains, fresh fruit, freshly tapped soft serve ice cream, and much more! You simply pay at the exit, and remember: don't forget to pick up a fortune cookie when you leave :-) Everything is just right here, and we're always happy to come back!

Great place for all you can eat with friends or to throw a small party.

It was a spontaneous decision to eat here. Four people arrived at 5:30 PM. Since we didn't make a reservation, our time was limited to 1.5 hours until 7:00 PM, with the same price of €33 per person. We also found that a bit overpriced. But if you put in the effort, you can manage it in an hour! Many of us enjoyed it tremendously.

The very last word I've been there several times now and have happily recommended the place, but I can't do that anymore. You reserve for four people plus a child, and then you get a seat that barely fits four people. The child has to stand in the aisle, where the waiters get upset that they're in the way. If you complain, you just get a "Yeah, OK, then don't come anymore." As a guest, you're really worthless there. I can only advise everyone not to go there and hope that I can at least keep a few people away from the place.

The food was OK, but unfortunately very greasy, and the grilling took forever due to the restaurant's overcrowding. You had to fight your way through to the buffet; there were far too many tables in too small a space—and for €33 per person, it was definitely not the finest all-you-can-eat.

I have been to many of Chinese all you can eat restaurants like this. You can see it in the profile but this one stands out specially because the food was amazing. Huge variety price was absolutely according so I would recommend everybody to visit because this one is at the top 10% of all you can eat Chinese restaurants in Germany.

Yesterday we were at the Asien Palast in Ingolstadt. We were seated at a tiny table that barely had room for four people. Afterward, we got our drinks, but the beer glasses were anything but clean—there were visible stains. When I asked the manager about it, he claimed it wasn't true and said everything was fine. He seemed very arrogant and aggressive. Criticism is obviously not handled well here. For the amount of money you pay here, I expect significantly better service and impeccable glasses. We definitely won't be coming back.

I now think that the Asian Palast in Ingolstadt isn't what it used to be. I didn't really enjoy the food, and there's a strange fermented smell around the drink stations. The first apple juice I tried tasted fermented. The buffet prices are quite steep, partly due to the lack of service. Even for lunch, you have to dig deep into your pockets. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and wouldn't go there myself anymore. What a shame!

A nice place with good food. You can order whatever you want and how much you want. I paid €20.90 for the buffet, around €11.30 during the week. I recommend it.

I'm sorry, but this is definitely not my kind of place. The ambiance and cleanliness are impeccable. We were there for lunch and, unfortunately, we didn't think the food was very good. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on food, you can go there. If you want to eat well, unfortunately, you shouldn't. Given the low buffet prices, you can't expect anything less.

How can anyone... The boss and his wife walk through their store with complete arrogance, creating a bad vibe. I'm sitting down to eat, and right next to me, the boss is croaking her way through the store. The volume... awful. The food is terrible, more for retirees with no sense of taste. No offense, just an observation. Never again ASIA Palast.

Today, after years, I tried it again – it was overly greasy, tasteless, whatever. It looks okay, but unfortunately, it doesn't taste good at all. The buffet itself has a strong smell, which has put me off a bit. Glasses are dirty, and even the drinks don't taste good. The restaurant itself is run down, with no maintenance or renovations. The service wasn't great, but it was okay. Otherwise, I absolutely can't recommend it anymore. A shame.

Even after the renovation, big anti-recommendation! Drinks from the dispenser taste like soap. Even my gf who does not even like beer, had to drink bottled beer, cause that was the only thing drinkable. Fast food stuff is mostly okay, but nothing special. On the grill selection stuff is mislabeled, does not look fresh and sauces don't have any explanations on them. Bbq sauce tasted like cinnamon. Different weird smells are coming from everywhere in the buffet, one spot smells like sweaty pants, I kid you not. And then there are the other guests and their kids who have no manners and make you feel like you are in a zoo. 70 Euros for 2 people for that is disgusting.

The personal touch or helpfulness that you find in many other restaurants is completely lacking. An even more serious drawback is the lack of air conditioning. Especially on hot summer days, when temperatures reach 30°C, the restaurant area transforms into a tropical retreat. The pleasant idea of ​​enjoying Asian delicacies in a beautiful setting quickly becomes torture in the oppressive heat. Added to this is the fact that there's a food stall located directly within the restaurant, which inevitably radiates additional heat. The combination of the humid climate and the pervasive aroma of fried food can be quite unbearable for some guests. The ambiance of the Asia Palast is otherwise highly praiseworthy. The decor is tasteful and conveys a sense of Far Eastern culture. The tables are neatly set, and the decorations exude a pleasant atmosphere. However, these positive aspects are greatly diminished by the climatic conditions and the foreseeable inconvenience of self-service. Having to struggle through the dishes in a restaurant at 30°C and then perhaps no longer wanting to constantly queue at the buffet is a frustrating experience. Another limitation is the selection of dishes. While the quality is satisfactory, the buffet would benefit from a bit more variety. Sometimes it might be difficult to find some of the popular dishes, as the placement of the dishes isn't always optimal. In summary, the Asia Palast Ingolstadt lunch buffet seems like an attractive option at first glance. The price and the opportunity to eat and drink as much as you want are unbeatable. However, the inadequate climatic conditions, the lack of service, and the heat in the restaurant significantly dampen the overall experience. So, those willing to accept these compromises may still get their money's worth here – everyone else should prepare for a sweaty and less comfortable meal.

Good to very good buffet. The lunch buffet with drinks package for €21 is particularly recommended. We'd be happy to come back.

Always a delight. A large selection and impeccable quality. Dining for four people is difficult without a reservation. But with a short wait, it's possible to avoid it. We're very excited to see what it looks like after the renovations.

We've been there several times for lunch or for the evening buffet. The food is always very good. There's also a plentiful selection. For some time now, they've also been offering a buffet with drinks included. Even two glasses of beer are included. What bothers me, however, is the fact that the spoons used to scoop food out are so hot that you can hardly touch them. This is probably due to the heat lamps above the food containers. If the heat was coming from below, this wouldn't be the case. And what I also don't like is that the buffet always seems to have the same ready-made dishes. The ice cream scoop was in absolutely filthy water. It was replaced immediately when I said something, but the service staff must have noticed. They were apparently overwhelmed with the small number of guests. Our used plates weren't taken away until over half an hour later. The evening buffet now costs €33.50, which I find quite expensive compared to the lunch buffet at €20.90, even though there's no BBQ grill.

We visited the Asia Palast in Ingolstadt for the second time on Saturday, and I have to say it was very good again. They really have everything your heart desires. We had reserved a table for 7:30 p.m., and it was a truly perfect time. When the manager saw that some items were out, she immediately refilled them with fresh, hot food. From 8:00 p.m. onwards, the restaurant slowly emptied, which was very pleasant. For €31 per person, you can eat as much as you like until you burst, and you can get your own drinks from the tap. Every time we left the table, our dirty plates were cleared away. That was very good. Unfortunately, the waiter also took our half-full glasses, cutlery, and napkins with him, which was a bit annoying. That's why the service only gets 4 stars. Unfortunately, he didn't speak German, otherwise we would have told him we weren't finished yet. Thank you for the great evening and the delicious food.

This evening we spontaneously drove to the Asia Palace. What we found there was shocking. I don't know how old the vegetables and meat at the Mongolian buffet were but nothing was refilled or replaced (see pictures). We still had to pay the full price per man. We are very disappointed and will never go there again.

Really good, fresh food at the Saturday evening buffet. I'm not familiar with the free drink refills, but I really liked it. The entire group raved about the food! Great, large selection and very tasty. We'll be back. Recommend a reservation on Saturdays.

A huge restaurant divided into several smaller rooms. The room's decor is stunning (tiger skins on the wall, huge chandeliers and a huge aquarium). The restaurant is open at two times: South (11-15 hours) Evening (5-11 p.m.). Buffet prices vary depending on the day of the week, time of day and age of the guests. On weekends I recommend making a reservation. Fresh and elegant products placed on trays (ready meals) or on ice (raw for frying). For the price of the buffet, you can eat as much as you want and drink (hot and cold drinks or beer). A child-friendly place. A huge section with cakes and other sweets and 2 fountains with liquid chocolate. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the restaurant. I recommend.

We now only go here when we feel like all you can eat. The selection is huge, almost everything tastes really delicious and even drinks are included in the price. The staff also works very quickly and is really friendly. The only negative point is that the fried sweet dishes, such as apple or banana, are prepared in the same oil as the savory dishes and therefore unfortunately do not taste good. You don't need it anymore... it has diminished so much over the years. Of course, it was always quick, cheap food in a fancy atmosphere, but now it's the cheapest of the cheap, tastes like nothing and is so overpriced that you can absolutely save yourself a visit. Even the drinks are just strange mixtures of water and syrup that taste questionable. The service is quick, but there is evidence that the plates are only cleared away and the tables are not wiped. Of course it's brilliant when you can sell something of such inferior quality at such a high price (€31.90/pp on weekdays). Personnel costs can't be the case, everything is now self-service and as described, the quality - which used to be questionable - is definitely not there either.

Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was a huge disappointment. The plates were dirty and the glasses we were given were in even worse condition - very dirty and not at all appetizing. To make matters worse, initially no glasses were brought at all, only after requesting them. When I pointed out that the glasses were dirty, the staff simply told me to get a “clean” glass - but there were simply no clean glasses. I would like to positively highlight a young man from the service who really made an effort and was very friendly. Unfortunately, that couldn't save the overall bad experience. The food was also anything but convincing. The breaded dessert definitely tasted like meat, probably because it was fried in the same fat as meat. The tiramisu had an unpleasant sour taste, as if the cream had gone bad. And the cheesecake? It was ice cold because it was obviously served frozen. Overall, absolutely not recommended - the cleanliness and quality of the food leave a lot to be desired, especially for this price!

Hello, we had dinner with our 3 children on Monday, the day before New Year's Eve. The food was only refilled quickly, not lovingly. Don't even know about this restaurant. Many female ladies were in the toilet where they didn't even refill dry towels. Toilets were partly blocked and dirty. When we paid we were treated very unfriendly. We were even charged an adult dinner, even though the lady asked us twice how many people and the age of the 3 children. We got the money back because my husband didn't want to give us the receipt that she (cashier) didn't want to give us. Other children went to the fortune cookies and pocketed a lot of them. Our children were scolded that they should only take one. Then I intervened and told her that she should also tell the other children who kept leaving the restaurant several times with their hands full! She didn't even say thank you, apologize or anything. Never again! We spent over 100 euros and were treated really badly, even those who paid after us. We felt like we were being mass processed and at 10:25 p.m.

Few vegetarian eat but many dishes available

Were there again after many years and were extremely disappointed. Price/performance is not right at all or the quality of the drinks and food does not justify €30/person. The restaurant has now mutated into more of a cheap canteen. Drinks from the mixing machine and noticeably lower product quality. The only thing worth mentioning is the staff: extremely friendly and prompt.

Absolutely recommended… eight of us were there on a Friday evening and I was thrilled! Everything was always there. Only the price is quite high, but you can stay seated indefinitely. Thank you for the great and delicious evening.

Unfortunately, honest review was deleted/not published. Were customers at AP for many years. Not recommended, quality drops noticeably, food is usually only lukewarm, food is overcooked. Stomach pain (since I went to other locations I noticed that I felt good after eating in Asia instead of always feeling tired and flat). Also rude staff/owner. Hygiene has been a catastrophe at times (dirty dishes, glasses consistently uninviting or dirty, most of them don't fit under the juices. The floor literally sticks. Chocolate fountains, especially on Mondays, indefinable pieces in the chocolate) will never come back because the price/performance ratio no longer fits. After the price for the buffet had been increased again, I complained. After complaining, the boss said with a laugh, "I'll increase it again tomorrow." They simply don't care.

Some of the meat was pretty tough too. Food has already worn off a bit. Service and ambience are fine. Unfortunately it has now become mass production and it's no fun. I can therefore no longer recommend this restaurant. It's a shame, we were there very, very often, but now. 😔

We were here in the evening and ate from the buffet. The meat was tough, the baked pineapple only tasted like frying fat and the salmon on the sushi was lukewarm. The tempura shrimp were cooked very soft and were already just a soggy fried mass. The fried rice was super dry and dead peppery. The interior is very worn and the sanitary facilities were almost unusable. The floors in the women's toilets were sticky and of the three toilets only one was usable, although very dirty.

The staff are very attentive, always clear the dishes quickly and are friendly. Unfortunately the food selection isn't exactly great, meat tastes very greasy and oily, the fish isn't seasoned, Otherwise there is little choice of fruits and the desserts are not the real deal either. The only thing you could really eat was the chicken and the spring rolls. DRINKS WERE FREE, I THINK IT WAS GREAT. Price €30 per person is very reasonable
