Authentic, traditional atmosphere. Mega selection, everything exactly what you like in Asian cuisine. Plates are always cleared quickly and if you want to pay, it happens quite quickly, no matter how busy it is. The Mongolian grill is something very special. The service is always on point and friendly. Particularly noteworthy is the nice lady who is actually always there. Today I received a set of chopsticks as a farewell, really sweet! We always like to come back here when it spontaneously fits in. Thank you ☺️

We were there for the second time. Price performance is really unbeatable. You can hardly find anything like that these days. Although I have a sensitive stomach, I had no problems after eating and think everything was of good quality. There is a lot to choose from, various shushi (the highlight for me is the grilled shushi), delicious Asian drinks (it's not slush ice cream as I first thought;)), coffee, vanilla soft ice cream and a dessert buffet... We'll definitely be back soon!

If there aren't many people, no one replaces anything. The food is cold and dry, unappetizing. We went with 8 people to eat the fried and breaded shrimp, but as I mentioned as there weren't many people, they didn't replace it.

Besuch am Montag, 07. Oktober 2024 abends Das Restaurant Asia World in Friedrichshafen am Bodensee liegt im Stadtteil 'Allmannsweiler'. Bei Eintritt, war ein Mitarbeiter vor der Türe gestanden und hat gerade eine Zigarettenpause gemacht - dieser machte uns ein Zeichen, dass er gleich für uns bereit steht - was dann noch ein klein wenig gedauert hat und er uns mit Verzögerung mitgeteilt hat, dass wir überall sitzen dürfen. Vor Ort kann man wählen zwischen dem 'All you can EAT Buffet' wo die Getränke berechnet werden oder seit neustem das 'All you can EAT & DRINK'. Wir waren an einem Montag Abend und hatten daher die Wahl zwischen dem Erlebnis-Buffet von 17:30 Uhr bis 22.00 Uhr für 21,90 € oder dem großen asiatischen Erlebnisbuffet mit mongolischem Grill von 17:30 Uhr bis 22:30 Uhr für 28,90 €. Entschieden haben wir uns für das All you can EAT & DRINK, da man diesen Preisunterschied mit Getränken, auf jeden Fall erreicht und sich dieses Angebot dann schon lohnt. Inkl. sind alkoholfreie Getränke, Kaffee & Tee. Jedes alkoholische Getränk kostet nur 1,50 €, Wein und Hugo nur 2,- €. Das Buffetangebot pro Besucher ist zeitlich begrenzt auf 2,5 Stunden, jede weitere angefangene halbe Stunde kostet 3,00 €. Jetzt kann man sich natürlich fragen, wo ist der Haken. Es gibt ihn den versteckten Haken, welchen man im Laufe des Besuches findet. > alkoholfreien Getränke: es gibt im Restaurant zwei Zapfanlagen & zwei Kühlschränke > hiervon einmal direkt am Buffet und zum zweiten auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite am Rande der Theke. Bei der Zapfanlage der alkoholfreien Getränke am Buffet ist uns aufgefallen, dass die Getränke eine normale Temperatur aufzeigten, was uns veranlasste, dies einmal dem Personal mitzuteilen, welche dann in Folge diese Zapfanlage gesperrt haben, da diese einen Kühldefekt hatte. Dies war aber nicht das einzigste Manko - andersherum war es auch so - bei den Buffetplatten und den fertigen Speisen. Grundsätzlich waren die Behälter warm bis heiß, aber auf dem Teller waren die Speisen eher lauwarm... Es gibt verschiedene Speisen am mongolischen Buffet, unser Empfinden war, dass beim Fleisch dieses in einem zu fettigen Zustand in der Auslage war und nicht jedermanns Fall daher ist. Die dortige Beschriftung sollte einmal überarbeitet werden, da die jeweiligen Rohspeisen darunter nicht stimmig waren. Eis - Dessert > es gibt hier eine Kühltruhe mit verschiedenen Eismöglichkeiten - leider hier ein ganz extremes Problem >> das dortige Eis, war viel zu warm, sodass es vom Eisportionierer man es fast nicht schaffte, dieses herauszuholen und war wie 'dickflüssige Suppe'. ACHTUNG/DANGER: Dieses dortige Eis war eindeutig nicht kühl genug gelagert und stellt aus unserer Sicht der Dinge, eine mögliche Gesundheitsgefahr dar, aufgrund der Bakterien, welche sich dort ansammeln können!! Kaffee-Teestation: Es gibt zwei Geräte, zum Selbstbedienen, welche allerdings in einem erbärmlichen Zustand waren und das Personal diese sichtlich nicht reinigen, bzw. die gesamte Station unsauber war. Toiletten: Dort war es viel zu dunkel, nur ein schummriges Licht und zudem waren die Toiletten auch nicht gerade in einem tollen Zustand... mehr möchte ich hierzu nicht schreiben. Zusammenfassung: Leider können wir das Asia World in diesem besuchten Zustand leider nicht weiterempfehlen, da uns die Einzelpunkte, leider schwer schockiert haben, wie man als Personal, diese Mängel a) nicht sieht, bzw. b) es grundsätzlich versauen lässt. Hier haben wir schon deutlich bessere asiatische Restaurants besucht und wir würden um das Asia World einen Bogen machen.

Visit on Monday, October 7th, 2024 in the evening The Asia World restaurant in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance is located in the 'Allmannsweiler' district. When we entered, an employee was standing in front of the door and was taking a cigarette break - he signaled to us that he would be ready for us soon - which then took a little while and he informed us with a delay that we were everywhere allowed to sit. On site you can choose between the 'All you can EAT Buffet' where drinks are charged or, more recently, the 'All you can EAT & DRINK'. We were there on a Monday evening and therefore had the choice between the experience buffet from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for €21.90 or the large Asian experience buffet with Mongolian grill from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. for €28. 90€. We decided on the All you can EAT & DRINK because you can definitely achieve this price difference with drinks and this offer is worth it. Non-alcoholic drinks, coffee & tea are included. Each alcoholic drink costs only €1.50, wine and Hugo only €2. The buffet offer per visitor is limited to 2.5 hours; each additional half hour costs €3.00. Now you can of course ask yourself, what's the catch? There is the hidden hook, which you find during the visit. > Non-alcoholic drinks: there are two taps and two refrigerators in the restaurant > one directly at the buffet and the other on the opposite side at the edge of the counter. When we were dispensing non-alcoholic drinks at the buffet, we noticed that the drinks were at a normal temperature, which prompted us to inform the staff about this, who then blocked the dispensing system because it had a cooling defect. But this wasn't the only drawback - it was the other way around too - with the buffet platters and the ready-made dishes. Basically the containers were warm to hot, but the food on the plate was rather lukewarm... There are various dishes at the Mongolian buffet, but our feeling was that the meat was too fatty and therefore not for everyone. The labeling there should be revised because the raw dishes underneath were not consistent. Ice cream - dessert > there is a freezer here with various ice cream options - unfortunately a very extreme problem here >> the ice cream there was much too warm, so that it was almost impossible to get it out of the ice cream scoop and was like 'thick soup'. ATTENTION/DANGER: This ice cream there was clearly not stored cool enough and, from our point of view, represents a possible health risk due to the bacteria that can accumulate there!! Coffee-tea station: There are two self-service devices, which were in a pitiful condition and the staff clearly did not clean them and the entire station was unclean. Toilets: It was far too dark there, only a dim light and the toilets weren't exactly in great condition... I don't want to write more about this. Summary: Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the Asia World in this condition, as the individual points unfortunately shocked us, as the staff a) does not see these deficiencies, or b) fundamentally messes it up. We have visited much better Asian restaurants here and we would avoid Asia World.

There was a buffet, so free choice.

We were actually there for dinner today. We had already told them on the phone that we were coming with two babies including a stroller and therefore needed some space. When we were there, an employee gave us a correspondingly larger table. As we were about to take a seat, another employee came and said we couldn't sit there because the table was too big for us. Even after we explained to him that we had been assigned the table, he refused to let us sit there. He then disappeared and came back 5 minutes later. We were told to sit at a small table in the middle of the hallway and leave the babies in the stroller in the hallway. Even after his colleague tried to make it clear to him that that wasn't possible. Then left the restaurant. How unfriendly can you be!! Absolute no-go. Never again! I would prefer to give it a minus star.

I've been a regular guest for many years and now I finally have to give a review because a lot of things have been going right here since a change in staff...whether fresh flowers on the table, clean tables, fast service, a great selection of food and, last but not least, the super delicious sushi is moving towards the upper class at the moment....I've experienced it differently here....so big, big praise and carry on in the same way👍

This is heaven for Asia food lovers. Reasonable, tasty and Unlimited food near Friedrichshafen. Thai curry, Indian 🍗 , sushi 🍱, seafood 🍤, salad, unlimited desserts and many more available and cost around 17 euro per person. Try once and you like it. The music 🎶 in background.

Has deteriorated greatly. There is an extreme lack of hygiene! The floor sticky slippery. Some of the food was cold and inedible. Ketchup and mayo are under heat.! The "children's play area" is very dirty and my daughter got two severe infections afterwards. No, it wasn't because of anything else! Emergency exit in the children's area where the street borders. Every child gets the door open! We are very disappointed and will not come back!

Five of us were at the Asia World Restaurant during a trade fair because we had Filipinos with us who absolutely needed rice. Unfortunately there wasn't too much rice left in the rice cooker, but they were still happy with the food. We (Swiss and German) found it rather bad because a lot of the buffet was already cold, there was room for chicken legs in the fried pineapple and the general condition of the buffet was rather mediocre. Some of the lettuce was already wilted and also had black spots. You can tell that mass processing is simply carried out here at an overpriced price with as little personnel effort as possible. I think €29.80 for a buffet including drinks is overly expensive given the quality. It's better to have less selection, but higher quality and more throughput. When it comes to drinks there is another negative point, I wanted to let out Spezi and Cola at the machine, the drink was warm and the lack of syrup exposed it as a waste of resources. When I asked the waiter/cashier about it, he just said that it had been broken for a long time and that I had drinks in it should take bottles. When I gave him the tip to hang a defect sign on the machine, he just looked stupid and moved on. All in all one of my worst restaurant experiences ever! However, when I look at some of the reviews here, we can count ourselves lucky that none of us had stomach problems, which would have been fun at the trade fair. I would prefer not to give one star, since the minimum is one star and the Filipinos were happy, I give two stars, it's good that they also eat cold at home.

Went to this restaurant for lunch today. The menus on the outside were taped off and there were none at the table. The restaurant was pretty empty. We had free choice of table. First action by the staff: wipe the table as it was completely worn out and covered in crumbs and other food residue. The waitress gave us the choice between “All you can eat” and “All you can eat and drink”. You used to be able to order à la carte. Obviously this is no longer possible. In this case, of course, you don't need a menu. The food was of poor quality. The Peking soup was subtly lukewarm and sour. The baked squid rings had the consistency of cardboard and consisted of 90 percent dough. Roast duck, baked chicken breast and curry rice were completely tasteless. The sushi, I assume it was supposed to be maki sushi, was filled with either a small piece of cucumber or pepper or an indefinable yellow mass and was inedible because the recognizable vegetables had reached a state that was just before complete composting. So the culinary delights were limited! After our table was cleared, I lost patience after 20 minutes and went looking for the staff to pay. Needless to say, the quality of the food is in no way related to the price. By the way, my stomach is feeling better now because I also had problems after visiting this restaurant. Another comment on L.W.'s contribution: Just because you try to write a review in fancy German doesn't reflect your taste and style. It is simply insulting to describe others as uneducated. Unless they actually imagine that they are the only “stylish person” and feel surrounded by uneducated people. Please accept other people's opinions and experiences.

First of all, beautiful aquarium in the entrance area. Staff nice and quick, at least at reception. Now about the food: The chicken drumsticks were really very tasty, as were the gyoza and the steamed salmon. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was not that good or even disappointing, which was not due to the selection or variety of the food. The chicken skewers were really very dry, the "sushi" was also dry and partly very thickly cut. When it comes to the grill, where the ingredients are freshly fried according to your own composition, the following can be said: at the time I was eating, the food was very oily and pretty much everything was very close to the burnt zone, which unfortunately made the food inedible. I was quite disappointed that there was no pork on offer at all. I would like to positively highlight the ice cream from the ice cream machine, which was really surprisingly good and not only tasted artificial, but really tasted like vanilla. If you change a few things here and there, it will definitely be a good place to eat. By the way, I've had far better the All You Can Eat buffet for just under €30 per person, including drinks, with better drinks and not just sweet juices. In the end, everyone has to decide for themselves.

When the food was freshly prepared, the food was often too salty. Don't know if it was the sauce or the cook. Still tasty. For dessert there is everything possible, from delicious soft ice cream, normal ice cream, cakes, tarts, fruit etc... Drinks also included in bottles, homemade juices with toppings etc...

Absolute disaster! Mass processing with zero distance at the buffet. No ambience! It's like being in a huge train station hall, where everything is hectic and there's no peace and quiet. It used to be delicious, WARM and rich. Used to be a great buffet and varied menu. However, there are some points of criticism... Food mostly cold and carelessly prepared!!! If there is too much going on at the Mongolian grill, meat is either fried briefly (which is not for everyone), it takes a relatively long time (too long breaks are not the right thing either), you get something wrong OR IT NEVER COMES AT ALL!!! There are too few wait staff, which is why long waiting times for food from the grill cannot be ruled out - and that's exactly what's bad!!! What's also miserable (for allergy sufferers or people who don't like it) is that the Mongolian grill food is basically always eaten with spring onions :( ...that's of course very bad, because some people just don't like it, are allergic to it etc. ...it just doesn't belong on top! What's bad about the grill is the wrong signs for meat/fish, because at lunchtime the signs are the same as in the evening, but there isn't anything that is available in the evening. Otherwise very active, sometimes unfriendly, extremely hectic and, above all, poor German-speaking service. Staff think they give the guests instructions where they should sit...sometimes even when there is little crowd in the restaurant. That doesn't work at all! And what also doesn't work: "I don't have time, I have to go to other guests" (said a waitress when the restaurant was at 20% capacity). The waitress tends to look annoyed and in some ways aggressive - she should definitely not do that... she pushes the GUESTS AWAY FROM THE BUFFET when they want to help themselves... After all, others don't do that either! Furthermore, the long waiting time for drinks (especially the 2nd round) is far too long. The majority of food à la carte is taken from the buffet (for people who eat à la carte in the restaurant or eat to go)!!! Cleanliness has only improved minimally. The prices for this ambience as well as the abundance of the buffet and the quality of the food are ABSOLUTELY TOO HIGH!!! We'll definitely never come back. We prefer every buffet restaurant in beautiful Austria.

We ate there for the first time yesterday, but unfortunately we had stomach and intestinal problems afterwards. Unfortunately, the buffet was not filled with all dishes. The sushi that had been there for a while wasn't quite as appetizing. And the price for 2 adults and 3 children was far too expensive at €100.50! I gave the restaurant another chance after the first time the other guests behaved like they were in the Stone Age (fingers in the buffet, touching plates, sneezing on food, etc.) and one of us was no longer hungry. Nevertheless, none. Despite the few visitors this time, we waited over 20 minutes for a freshly prepared dish. The already finished dishes are ok, but don't justify the price. After the second course at the buffet, the half-full drinks were already cleared away when we returned. When I asked, all I got was "Oh", and there weren't any new ones. Unfortunately, we had bad stomach problems after every meal there and now avoid this restaurant. Self-service dessert is really bad and unappetizing! We have always avoided this area. People reach in here with their bare fingers because cutlery is always missing, it's so bad! The cleanliness in the toilets is also simply subpar.

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal da. Und für ein Büfett und 13,50 kann man nicht meckern. Man darf einfach nicht all zu viel erwarten und dass das Essen auf warmhalteplatten einfach nicht mit frisch servierten Gerichten mithalten kann allerdings zahlt man eben auch mehr , hat nicht die Auswahl und keine Vorspeise und Dessert so wie Kaffee und Tee dabei! Jeder findet hier etwas ! Für ein schnelles günstiges Essen würde ich wieder hin.

The buffet is really great and varied, while you're there you should also choose the "all you can eat" option. The sushi is freshly prepared on site and the food is replenished regularly. The service regularly picks up the plates from the table and is usually friendly.

In my opinion, the quality of the food is rather mediocre, there is always the same offering. The sushi selection is great. Often very loud in the huge restaurant. The lunch specials are reasonably priced. Waiting forever at the Mongolian grill in the evening.

The floor sticks badly even though we were the first guests at 5 p.m. the floor stuck. Due to the size of the restaurant and the many guests, the volume becomes very intense at some point, so that in the end you are happy when you have made it.

We were eating here at lunchtime on Sunday at the beginning of June 2024. There were still few customers on site, so there was enough space in the restaurant and free parking. We (4 people) chose "All you can eat", so we could choose what we wanted to eat from the menu. So we didn't have to wait for the employees. The freshly grilled seafood was also available relatively quickly. I also liked what I chose, you just have to get used to the Asian preparation. There were no problems with the cleanliness of the restaurant. I didn't use the toilet. When billing, you should first look at the invoice carefully before paying to see what was charged. You should also keep in mind that leftover food that is still on the plate but is still edible will be charged for. Therefore, only put as much on your plate as you can eat. After a while it only became quite loud because of the 10 children who were all gathered at a large table nearby, while the parents had looked for other tables further away. Food was good 👍 What I thought was great. I asked a few times whether special items were vegetarian and I got a friendly answer to all my questions (and even in German). It wasn't a problem with a dog either. The restaurant is a few meters away a bus stop away. Regarding the ambience: it is very chic and comfortable. Toilet is clean. Thank you very much to the nice people who work there, the stay was very nice and we would love to come back. Finally, I think it's great to combine food and drink (non-alcoholic drinks) as much as you want, just perfect, a great selection of drinks, good food, friendly employees. Dogs are allowed, what more could you want

It used to be really good there, but my last visit (and definitely THE last!) disappointed me hugely because it was just messy, chaotic and dirty in places. The food and its quality also left a lot to be desired; it was either dry, overcooked, or simply unconvincing in terms of taste. On the other hand, and this is the worst part, I felt so sick the day after the visit with nausea and diarrhea, classic food poisoning! That's my absolute main reason for giving this store a wide berth in the future. A control authority urgently needs to take a closer look here.

Its a very good place to go. There is food varierity, fresh and clean. If you really enjoy food, my personal opinion is a place you should give it a try. After you will always take this a reference and compare with other places at this food level. I find it good balance of, food quality, price and enviroment. I'm from México and we know about food.

A very large variety where hygiene is also taken into account. A very nice staff and the prices for the All You Can Eat are simply wonderful. You finally have the courage to fill your stomach again without having to worry about the fact that the bill is very high due to inflation ;)

The perfect place for a food fight

Yeah no, 20€ for a small variety of an all you can buffet? I don't recommend it myself, the sushi is definitely better than the typical store bought takeaway ones. It's fresh, does taste decent but that's about it. Overall too expensive for such a small restaurant of okay quality.

Truly an exceptional Chinese restaurant. The selection at the buffet is huge. All sorts of delicious things, fish, seafood, vegetables, fruit... the Mongolian grill and you can choose from so many drinks at the large buffet including drinks. Juices, coffee, soft drinks etc. You don't know what to take...the offer is so extensive. The restaurant in general is very clean, the staff is really friendly. All in all, I can only recommend this restaurant. If you are in Friedrichshafen, you should come by.

Unfortunately, the food at the Mongolian grill tasted very burnt, not just on one plate. You couldn't taste the sauce or the vegetables themselves very well anymore. Stunning. You have to see such a large "allyoucaneat and drink" buffet at least once in your life, I would eat there again at any time. The dessert buffet didn't blow me away personally, but the main meal was amazing with so much choice.

Unfortunately I had food poisoning, I ate there for lunch and was in the emergency room 2 hours later. I had a severe headache and extreme nausea. In the hospital my thought was confirmed... food poisoning. The service is polite, but unfortunately it hit me. I was here for vacation. Today is the second day of my vacation here and I'm lying in bed with nausea.

We were there yesterday with 5 people. The food was really not recommended this time. Everything you ate tasted like cleaning products. When we made the reservation we specifically said it was a birthday party. Then the waitress had to be reminded 4 times and nothing happened. The service was unfriendly. The chocolate fountain was broken but it ran without a fountain. After the last negative impression we decided to take a chance but this time it was definitely the last time we were there. Even the sushi that was without fish smelled of fish. The service and the food were by far better!!

The food and selection are amazing. There is really very good food here. Compared to other Asian all you can eat restaurants, this one was by far the best we have ever visited and we know a few restaurants of this type. I have a very clear recommendation

I ordered shusi and they didn't even add the hot sauce and also a portion of rice with vegetables and chicken and out of all this I think 90% is rice, that's not normal

Service was quite good and the ambience was nice too, as was the large selection BUT the food didn't convince me at all. For example, kiwi tasted like onions, seafood was overcooked and barely edible. More than half of what I ate wasn't great, the taste and consistency wasn't good either. First and last time there. Unfortunately.
