Das Essen ist gut, aber das war's auch schon: Das ist keine authentische georgische Küche. Die Einrichtung stammt aus den 2000er-Jahren und ist völlig geschmacklos. Von außen sieht es aus wie eine Lagerhalle. Innen ist es wie ein Marktcafé. Das Personal gibt sich Mühe.

Super tolles Restaurant und exzellente Service, kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Natalija ist super tolle Bedienung.

Sehr leckeres Essen und eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Speisen sind frisch und geschmacklich top. Ein kleiner Hinweis: Zum Bezahlen geht man nach vorne, dort wird alles auf einem Block zusammengerechnet und man erhält keine separate Rechnung. Insgesamt aber eine positive Erfahrung, gerne wieder!

Ganz außergewöhnliche Küche, sehr ansprechend dargeboten und mit wirklich zuvorkommendem Service trotz vollen Hauses. Es scheinen auch viele Gäste mit kaukasischer Herkunft „und drumherum“ das Restaurant zu besuchen, das spricht für Qualität und Originalität des gastronomischen Angebots. Top. Kleiner Wermutstropfen: Bei guter Restaurantfüllung ist’s recht laut in dem großen, „speisesaalähnlichen“ Raum.

Leider etwas enttäuschend. Vorspeise kam nach über 40 Minuten kalt an. Die Hauptspeise keine 3 Minuten später. Schaschlik war okay.

Es war alles top. Auch Vegetarisch kann man hier sehr gut essen. Gerne wieder!

Wir waren samstags direkt nach der Öffnung dort. Viele Plätze waren bereits reserviert, aber an unserem Tisch waren noch zwei Plätze frei. Die Bedienung war schnell und freundlich. Man kann sich auch auf Russisch unterhalten. Das Essen war köstlich und wurde zügig serviert. Die Einrichtung ist mit vielen künstlichen Elementen gestaltet – Pflanzen, Mauerwerkimitationen, ein Kamin. Besonders gut gefielen mir die authentischen und niedlichen Salz- und Pfefferstreuer auf dem Tisch! Im Hintergrund lief kaukasische Musik. Der bestellte Tscheburak (vermutlich) war aufgewärmt, mit einer harten Kruste und einer extrem heißen Brühe, die mir die Zunge verbrannte. Hochstühle sind vorhanden und am Eingang gibt es eine Rampe für Menschen mit eingeschränkter Mobilität. Die Toiletten sind sauber.

Das Restaurant ist eher abgelegen, schwierig ohne Auto zu erreichen. Reservieren ist erforderlich am Wochenende. Es wurden mehr Tische aufgebaut, sodass die Lautstärke bei Vollbelegung enorm laut ist. Man versteht seinen Sitznachbarn kaum. Das Essen schmeckt gut, manchmal schmeckt Schaschlik oder das Hackfleisch zu salzig. Die Chefin ist super nett und zuvorkommend. Die Kollegin ist eher nach Lust und Laune freundlich.

Mehrfach jetzt dort gewesen. Sowohl in der alten Location in der Neckarstadt, als auch am neuen Standort. Das essen ist unfassbar lecker und authentisch, es fühlt sich an wie zu Hause. Ich war schon 3 mal dort.Nur wegen chachapuri. Das ist ,wirklich, einmalig! Habe auch schaschlik probiert. Alle drei Sorten! Trocken und schmeckt nach nichts. Bestimmt falsche Fleisch verwendet. Bin echt enttäuscht. Schaschlik muss saftig sein! Atmosphäre ist gut und Bedienung ist auch sehr nett

Ich habe das Restaurant Kavkaz besucht und war absolut begeistert! Wunderbare Atmosphäre, freundliches Personal und unglaublich leckeres Essen. Besonders der Schaschlik und das Chatschapuri haben mir sehr gut geschmeckt. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir haben dieses Lokal zum ersten Mal besucht und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Service war sehr gut und schnell, alles war sättigend und lecker, und das Wichtigste: für sehr wenig Geld!

Wir besuchten dieses Restaurant; es gab nur einen Kellner für zehn Tische, und die Wartezeit auf unsere Bestellung war relativ kurz (vor allem, wenn uns etwas zu trinken gebracht wurde). Die Atmosphäre erinnerte nicht an ein georgisches Restaurant, sondern eher an eine Cafeteria. Die russische Musik war angesichts der Ereignisse in Georgien und der Ukraine besonders überraschend. Zum Essen: Mein Mann bestellte Schaschlik und meinte, es sei an einigen Stellen etwas trocken und zu lange gebraten (mir hat es gut geschmeckt, eine 4). Die rohen Zwiebeln, die zum Schaschlik serviert wurden, mochte ich nicht. Ich bestellte Chatschapuri mit Wurst; Teig und Käse waren in Ordnung, aber die Wurst ist Geschmackssache – sie hat mir nicht geschmeckt. Der georgische Wein war köstlich, und der Teebeutel war überraschend (in Georgien gibt es viele Kräutergerichte, aber hier Teebeutel).

Wir waren spontan nach dem Einkaufen dort. Wir waren gegen 17 Uhr da und haben noch ein Tisch bekommen, später größtenteils viele reserviert. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und hat uns gut beraten. Der Beilagensalat war ok, die Hauptgerichte sehr lecker! Die Einrichtung ist gemütlich und man fühlt sich direkt wohl, das einzig Negative war, dass es durch die Größe etwas kühler war.

Wir sind in das Restaurant Kavkaz gekommen und mussten leider direkt wieder gehen. Bereits beim Betreten mussten wir mehrere Minuten warten, ohne dass jemand auf uns reagiert oder uns gesagt hat, ob es einen freien Tisch gibt. Als wir dann die Speisekarten bekommen haben, wurden wir sofort auf Russisch angesprochen. Auf dem Fernseher lief ein Film über den Krieg, dazu wurde russische Musik gespielt. Für ein Restaurant, das sich „kaukasisch“ nennt, ist das aus meiner Sicht sehr irreführend. Es wirkte eher wie ein russisches Restaurant mit kaukasischer Küche. Gerade vor dem Hintergrund der aktuellen weltpolitischen Lage empfinde ich diese Präsentation und Atmosphäre als äußerst unpassend. Wir haben uns dort klar unwohlgefühlt und sind deshalb gegangen.

Wären gerne in das Lokal, hatten uns schon darauf gefreut, bis wir das Hundeverbotschild am Eingang sahen. Leider werden wir nicht herausfinden wie es dort ist, wenn ein Familienmitglied ausgeschlossen wird. Unser Hund gehört zur Familie, und das ist für uns ein nogo .

Sehr leckere Speisen: Khachapuri, Schaschlik, Khinkali, Hauslimonade. Heute war live Musik. Etwas laut 🙂 Ansonsten klare Empfehlung. Gerne wieder 👍

Kaukasisches Restaurant in Edingen-Neckarhausen. Hauptgericht waren lecker, die Vorspeisen sind noch ausbaufähig. Ambiente ist ok, aber ziemlich laut, wenn es voll mit Gästen ist.

Schade nur, dass wir die Khinikali nicht gegessen haben, sie waren viel zu scharf.

Es war sehr lecker! Das Chatschapuri habe ich nicht einmal fotografieren können – es wurde sofort aufgegessen 😄 Sehr freundliches und herzliches Team, der Service war top. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt: Die Musik war etwas zu laut. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

I visited a Georgian restaurant for the first time and was absolutely delighted. A wide selection of traditional dishes and drinks. The chicken shashlik with salad was excellent, as were the pelmeni. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the prices were reasonable.

The food was very good, the service friendly, however, the music and the TV with its video clips were unfortunately much too loud even though there wasn't much going on.

This was our first time with our family, and we were very satisfied. The food was delicious, the music was great (you could even dance!), the staff was very friendly, and we had a wonderful evening. We would love to come back.

I was at the "Kavkaz" restaurant last Friday and was absolutely thrilled! The atmosphere is very friendly and cozy; you immediately feel welcome. The service was attentive and warm – the staff are truly very hospitable. The food was outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. A place you'll definitely want to return to. Highly recommended! 🌿✨

I would give a zero for the service 😊 I went into this place, I'm standing there, waiting for someone to come to me, somewhere in the middle of the room the waitress (a woman with red hair) started calling me over with her hand, as if I were some kind of dog 😂 Please, hire adequate people so that they don't ruin the impression of the place, this is rude behavior, this is unacceptable.

Delicious food at fair prices! The restaurant recently moved here and expanded as a result. The service is great, although we did have to wait a bit. While eating, you have a view of the local football club's pitch and can watch the players training.

Update 11/2025: Finally! The effort was worth it, and the wait was definitely worth it. Kavkaz is now located in Neckarhausen, with parking right outside. It's larger and very tastefully decorated, and now offers a few more authentic dishes. Anyone who thinks the quality has suffered is mistaken. Top-notch food of the highest quality, reasonable prices, and portions that will truly satisfy you. And: 'spicy' pepperoni that lives up to its name. Arthur's secret is actually quite simple: high-quality ingredients, and everything (!) is freshly cooked and prepared on-site. My favorite: Ostri, perfect for the colder months. Thank you, Arthur; if I could, I'd give it six stars. ---- Very tasty and always authentic. Anyone who has ever been to Armenia will feel reminded of the best time of the year at Kavkaz. Furthermore, the host, Arthur, is always available for guests and happy to have a friendly chat. An unexpected gem in Neckarstadt. Addendum: I just noticed that my last review was 9 months ago. My mistake! That's probably because Arthur and his team pamper you so much that you completely switch off. So, a big thank you to the wonderful Kavkaz team! One of the best restaurants for Georgian cuisine; the chef there made better khinkali than any chef in Georgia. I haven't found better Georgian food in any other restaurant. This is an absolute must for anyone who likes or wants to try this kind of food. The only downside is that people will always say that Kavkas tasted better at other Georgian restaurants. 😅

We visited the Kavkaz restaurant for the first time and were very pleased, pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, friendly service staff. We arrived hungry, ordered, as it turned out, a lot of food, large portions, there was an opportunity to try many dishes. We will definitely return. We have been to different restaurants, in different countries, but we have not seen such a nice, homely restaurant for a long time, there is a nostalgic atmosphere here.

It looks very much like a BAR from the 90s in the former CIS, the same color and atmosphere. We came to eat shashlik and khinkali and were satisfied. Very tasty and relatively inexpensive. We will definitely come back more than once!

Unfortunately I can only give 3 stars. Service was unsatisfactory, we weren't even offered anything or asked if everything was OK. The plates and glasses weren't cleared away until we pushed them in. Overall the food was delicious (unfortunately half of the khinkali was torn so the juice was gone / the herbs in the minced meat were chopped with stems or added very roughly / and also much too big), chebureki and khachapuri were great! Portions also huge! The children's pilmeni were completely forgotten and only cooked after we asked. 1L of juice was placed directly on the table in a PET bottle, which obviously doesn't make a good impression! There were even problems with payment. It was also terrible that the food wasn't put on the table for everyone at the same time, so the first people had already finished eating and the last people still had nothing (better to make everyone wait and serve at the same time). This rating isn't meant to be negative, but rather as motivation.

It was quite tasty, but we were a group and wanted to pay separately. It worked out, but we ended up paying too much for the sauces. I recommend it for 3-4 people.

Unfortunately a failure. Meat was very tough and the dumplings were dry. Shish kebab means something different. Unfortunately the music was very loud and there was no outside area for eating because it was 28 degrees. We also felt unwanted. Then the shutters were closed in half the shop and at the bar. You felt very uncomfortable.

A few days ago we were in this restaurant. Honestly, I don't understand why this place has such good reviews. As someone with experience, I know what real khinkali should be like: here the dough was poorly rolled, there was no broth inside, the khinkali were huge, and in one we even found raw meat. The taste was spoiled by strange spices and herbs. For 15 euros per serving this is a big disappointment. We liked the shish kebab: the portion was large and tasty, and the side dish was also good. The Khachapuri looked appetizing, but in terms of taste it consisted almost entirely of melted cheese with a minimal amount of dough. The music was particularly noticeable - random Russian songs were playing very loudly. This made it difficult to have a conversation. In a restaurant with Caucasian cuisine, we would have liked more appropriate, atmospheric music. A plus point of the restaurant is its cleanliness. The strangest thing was that no one from the staff came to us to ask why we didn't finish our food or if everything was okay. Overall we were disappointed and will not be returning. The restaurant has potential, but the quality of the cuisine and the atmosphere desperately need to be improved.

I had the pleasure of spending an evening here. and all I can say is that it was a real treat! From the moment I entered the restaurant I was greeted by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The furnishings radiate a cosiness that immediately conveys a feeling of well-being. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable The food was simply delicious! Every dish I tried was lovingly prepared and perfectly seasoned. I would particularly like to highlight the variety of traditional dishes, it was a real pleasure to discover the different flavors and textures. I highly recommend KAVKAZ - it's a place where you can not only eat your fill, but also experience the culture and hospitality. A small suggestion for improvement would be to make the tea preparation even more authentic. A brewed tea from a samovar would perfectly round off the culinary experience and introduce guests to a touch of traditional culture. This would not only improve the taste of the tea, but also create a nice, sociable atmosphere that is perfect for a successful evening. Overall, my visit to KAVKAZ was a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to my next visit to discover more delicacies

The atmosphere depends on us. We liked the khinkali and Megrelian khachapuri. The shish kebab is not very good. In Georgia it is brighter in taste. The Olivier salad is no good. This is to my taste. The kebab was chicken and meat, the potatoes were not tasty. In general, everything can be corrected if desired.

Das Restaurant hat eine sehr stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre, es war sehr gemütlich. Das Essen ist einfach perfect. Sie haben gutes Khochapuri und das größte und saftigste Khinkali. Die Cocktails waren teuer (Mojito 8 Euro), aber ihr Geld wert, obwohl ich den Alkohol kaum schmecken konnte. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Musik im Hintergrund – zu hören sind slawische Lieder und Chansons. Ich empfehle einen Besuch für alle, die ihre Kultur und ihr Essen wirklich vermissen. A very atmospheric establishment with Georgian and Armenian cuisine. The food is delicious and the portions are very large, everything is homemade. You can order shish kebab, kebab, dumplings, khachapuri, pizza, salads, borscht, and there are also desserts. We were pleasantly surprised, ate our fill and took it home, we couldn’t finish it all!
