Apple & Eve Vegan Soulfood in Hamburg

Wir waren zu viert im Restaurant in der Grindelallee. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Burger waren sehr lecker. Man bestellt an der Theke, das Personal war super freundlich und hat uns noch andere Speisen empfohlen , die nicht auf der Karte standen. Unter anderem einen hauseigenen Patty der sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Als Dessert hatten wir Tiramisu und einen Erdnusskuchen, köstlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

The atmosphere was good. The food is decent: the size of portion is nice, the presentation is ok, and the taste is good. But no big deal, no highlights, nothing remarkable. Unfortunately, the service is chaotic. For a fast food place, is it rather slow. They don’t have enough staff to cover the size of the place. The payment system does not make sense. We waited almost 1h for the food and then waiting again to pay. What a pity. From the other side, it is possible they are understaff because of the Christmas break. I hope this is the case. If you are patient or if the place is not busy, then it is fine. If you’re looking for a vegan/vegetarian fast food, you may reconsider.

I ate at Apple & Eve for the first time today and absolutely loved it! The vegan burger was so good that I couldn’t tell it apart from a “classic” burger in a blind test. The quality of the ingredients and the taste are simply top. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern, and the service was friendly and attentive. The prices are absolutely fair for the quality offered. I particularly liked that the side dishes such as the fresh salad were prepared with a lot of love. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try delicious vegan food - even meat lovers will be happy here!

Not only is it really the best vegan kebab in Hamburg + that I think I've ever eaten in general - it's also the best shop I've ever been to when it comes to the niceness and vibe of the employees :) every time, When you're here you just feel good and I can't compare it to any other restaurant/similar.

The Apple & Eve in Hamburg is a really great store that we can only warmly recommend! Everything is freshly prepared, tastes incredibly delicious and is completely vegan - a paradise for anyone who eats a plant-based diet or simply wants to try something new. The guest room is also a highlight: super cozy, with a lovingly furnished atmosphere. The seats by the window are an absolute favorite, especially on cold days, as you can sit on the heater there. There's hardly a better place to warm up while enjoying the charming views. We loved it so much that we decided to eat there twice during our stay in Hamburg - a real sign of how impressed we were by Apple & Eve. For anyone who is vegan or simply appreciates good food and is in Hamburg, a visit here is an absolute must. We'll definitely be back, that's for sure!

One of the best vegetarian kebabs I've ever had! There were a lot of fresh vegetables in it, the meat substitute was also very well made (if I hadn't been told it wasn't meat, I wouldn't have noticed) and the sauce was also very good and gave the whole thing that certain something. You also have to talk about the good price-performance ratio: the portions are very generous and you pay a little more than for an average kebab, but in my opinion this is completely appropriate given the quality and portion size

We became aware of the Apple & Eve in Hamburg through the very good Google reviews and therefore decided to dine here in the vegan restaurant. We once chose a burger menu and the gyro plate, which was in the middle, "normal" price segment. The dishes were prepared in reasonable portions, which we had to pick up at the counter. We enjoyed it very much and the reviews reflected the level of taste we were hoping for. The burger tasted good, but I unfortunately have to complain about the dry, over-baked fries because they tasted a little too dry and hard. The waitress with the Rasta hairstyle was very friendly and chatty. Conclusion: We would be happy to come back and can recommend the Apple & Eve without hesitation.

The best vegan restaurant I've ever been to - and I've been vegan since 2011 and lived in Berlin since 2012! The experience was simply perfect all around: extremely nice and attentive service, great recommendations - for two people we had burgers with fries and gyros once and both were 10/10! Even my non-vegan friend was completely convinced and said that if we had a restaurant like that in Berlin, it would be totally okay for him to only eat vegan. The difference to everyone else is that you can tell from the first moment in every detail that happy guests are the top priority here. It starts with the first-class service and ends with the great food, where everything is just right and where there is exactly the right amount of the best ingredients. The hottest fries instead of the cheapest. The sauce all over the bread instead of a blob on top. A decent amount of vegan gyros instead of three lean pieces. In our opinion, the price is calculated just right; you pay for what you get, but without the typical surcharge that is often completely unfounded with vegan food. The two of us paid exactly 20 euros, were absolutely full and will be raving about the food for months to come. Where else is that? Everything was just perfect <3 So Apple & Eve is definitely a must for us every time we visit Hamburg!

Super tasty, great value for money

Simply incredibly delicious. I highly recommend the garlic mayo and the crispy patty as well as the sweet potato fries and just about everything XD. Everyone who says “vegan can’t taste good” here’s proof that it can actually taste better. I would go to Hamburg again just for this restaurant.

We were here recently and can only recommend it. The employees are very friendly, even if one of them spoke very quickly. Briefly in advance: The kebab here is called gyros sandwich/bag/plate etc. We were told that they would change that soon. Alcohol is also not being served at the moment, so we are still waiting for official permission. We had two matcha lemonades to drink, which were really cool. In any case, new worlds have opened up for me here! The glasses are also really beautiful, wow. For dinner there was the grill plate, the currywurst, onion rings, a falafel burger and a Danube wave plus a bee sting. The grill plate is really lavish, the fries are crispy, and the sauce on it is awesome. Unfortunately, the meat was very rubbery and I felt like I was just eating cooked mushroom pieces the whole time. The feta was also so meh. The consistency is like milky, slightly firmer pieces of yoghurt. The currywurst, however, was brilliant. "Anyone who knows this product here will never have to eat a currywurst made from meat again, there are simply no ifs and buts about it," I said to my friend later. The falafel burger and the onion rings were okay, but I personally definitely missed the fluff on the burger. The breading on the onion rings is good for a few pieces, but then I gave them to my friend. The Danube wave was okay, unfortunately I didn't see or taste any sour cherries. The bee sting though?! Mega crispy topping and no difference to non-vegan versions. For me the same applies as with currywurst - simply game over for the non-vegan versions. Otherwise: The toilet is in a narrow hallway, is not at ground level and is extremely narrow. You can't even fully open the door to the women's toilet because the sink and trash can block the door. There is then a single cubicle in the women's toilet. After eating, we conveniently paid with a card at the front counter. But you can also pay directly after ordering, for us it made more sense that way. 53 € for 2 people, that's fine. Overall a mixed experience for me, but all in all still good. Try it out!

The best vegan restaurant I have ever visited. The people are damn correct, the waiter or owner is very accommodating and also extremely correct, always up for a good chat. The burgers are the best vegan burgers and don't miss meat at all, I say as a passionate meat eater, this restaurant has managed the balancing act. The balancing act that you don't miss a real burger, because here you can get it without meat. So here you can eat with a clear conscience. I'm not exaggerating and that's not supposed to artificially push the store so that it's a real review!!! There's no skimping on fries here, I hate these shops that think they'll put a handful of fries in this little fryer sieve and think that looks nice, dude, I'm there to get full. You'll get full here, I emphasize again as a MEAT eater. The atmosphere is very nice inside, there was just a little remodeling work going on and there was an old refrigerator there but it wasn't disturbed, you have enough space to sit and a small couch corner, which I love. The cakes are the tastiest ever, please try this Snicker cake, how incapable Snickers is of never being able to create something like that themselves. These people made it perfect, I've never tasted this peanutty anywhere else.

It's great that there are vegan restaurants like this. I had the vegan gyros and was disappointed. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, but there was a lack of spice and taste, the meat was oversalted and the whole ordering process was unreasonable. It was crowded and narrow. Because you have to order at the counter, then sit back down with a beeper, and then get up again to get something to eat and drink, I had to choke myself out of the cramped chair several times, beg several people to stand up and me to let me through, and pressed myself against the wall to get my order, and the same procedure again on the way back. You can also get something to drink yourself. Not for people over 50 or lazy people! Maybe funny for young people. With more oregano, garlic, onions and sriracha it would be an option for me.

Stumbled upon this little gem of a vegan restaurant by chance and I was immediately enchanted. Cozy ambience, accommodating service and delicious food. I cannot ask for more - I'd like to become a regular here. I highly recommend their homemade gyros and burger patties! Also, if you still have some space for desert afterwards, I'd suggest to get a piece of their cakes!

The new location is super chic. You place your order at the front, take your own drinks and get a buzzer for your meal. You then get the food yourself. The portions were huge and the food was delicious. Love these dipping boat fries! They were also super crispy. The guacamole was not very seasoned, only felt like avocado. But there was salt and pepper and chili on the tables. The cake was also delicious

Wonderfully delicious vegan food! Was here for the third time in two weeks and I'm really impressed. The burgers are Great and you really don't notice that the patties are vegan. The selection of sauces is great and you can get a second helping straight away if you wish. We were particularly impressed by the currywurst and the gyros plate. Great taste and great seasoning. If you still have room for dessert, I can particularly recommend the Snickers cake. Service is very friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to my next visit and trying out more of the menu.

The food was really great! It was also cool that the menu (...which hangs on the wall in xxl size) was explained to you in advance. Super nice advice and definitely no chance of choosing the “money back option” - because the food is good 👌 Which wasn’t so cool in the end; that somehow cigarette smoke was coming in - from behind. As an ex-smoker you are definitely more sensitive 😎

My favorite shop for vegan gyros. Staff always nice too. My companion didn't eat anything and found the atmosphere very relaxed.

We were initially thrilled with Apple and Eve. The burgers and fries were unbeatably tasty, everything was crispy and warm. Unfortunately, the last two orders were very carelessly prepared. Everything was probably prepared in advance because the fries were already cold and soggy when they were delivered. The orders were also not kept: both times we received different sauces, other drinks, other side dishes. The time before last, the drinks we paid for were completely missing. Because of these two consecutive orders, we have now ordered from Apple & Eve for the last time.

I agree with the other positive reviews. Food tastes good, the shop is nicely decorated for my taste and the owner is a friendly guy. The price for “fast food” tends to be higher, but sometimes you can treat yourself.

Fantastic, completely vegan shop with great food that you're not used to in vegan places: Chilli cheese fries, burgers, gyros, feta, all vegan. But not only is the food itself free of animal products, corresponding messages in the form of stickers and decorations are also lived out, the drinks are also exclusively from, well, morally unproblematic brands such as Fritz, Viva con Aqua, etc. Also very friendly staff. I'll definitely come back to the next Eurofurence. 🙂

I've eaten at Apple & Eve several times and am very satisfied every time! A visit to Apple & Eve is now a must whenever I travel to Hamburg again. The food is delicious, generous in quantity and the prices are absolutely fair. The service is also very friendly, you feel very welcome every time. We were visiting Hamburg and discovered this vegan restaurant. We ate the gyros plate and the avocado salad and were overwhelmed by how delicious everything was. The service was very friendly and open-minded. We would like to come here again at any time.

The food was absolutely delicious, both the burgers, the salad and the gyros with feta (best vegan gyros/doner kebab I've ever eaten!). The service was also super friendly and committed. He also personally made sure that there was no sesame on our food (allergy). The vegan fried egg is absolutely brilliant, it tastes and feels completely like a real fried egg! Would go back immediately, but unfortunately we live in Munich.
