Apple & Eve Vegan Soulfood in Hamburg

We encountered unfriendly treatment. We come to this café every week to spend time together and play board games. On our last visit, an employee came over to us every five minutes and demanded that everyone order something to eat or drink. We bring new people each time, thus introducing the café to a new audience. I thought we could bring new ideas and concepts to this place for its future development. But this was probably our last visit here.

Damn delicious gyro plate, the sauces are fantastic! The staff were very friendly and accommodating; we felt very comfortable and would gladly come back!

Liver and very friendly and accommodating staff! I was there with my toddler and was offered a high chair without asking. My small requests were accommodated in a friendly manner. The food is very tasty. I had a burger with the house patty (there are several to choose from) - highly recommended! I think the ambiance could be improved, but that doesn't detract from the taste or service. I also think the price/performance ratio is excellent! I'll be back again when I get the chance!

A vegan comfort food dream come true! The burgers taste fantastic, especially the house-made soy patty, which is juicy and tastes very close to non-vegan patties. The vegan cheese is a great imitation of cheddar. The consistency and mouthfeel of the burger are unique. My companion and I both agreed: these were the best burgers we've had in a long time—and vegan, too. The lady with short, blonde hair behind the counter was very friendly and accommodating, and contributed significantly to the pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, you can't tip by card. But the entire team deserves it. So, remember to bring some cash. Recommendation: Go for the soy patty. We've tried all of the house's patties. It's juicy and tastes very close to the original (if that's important to you as a vegan). The vegetable patty is also delicious, a bit mushy in texture. The crispy patty is relatively hard but has a nice crunch. Tastes vary, so this is just for information.

I've been there three times now and the service was extremely friendly each time. The doner is also the best vegan doner I've ever eaten. The sauce is perfect, and it's the only vegan doner meat I've ever enjoyed. The cake was also absolutely top-notch every time.

Wow, I've had quite a few vegan burgers so far, but this cheeseburger with the crispy patty is amazing! Also, the perfectly fried sweet potato fries with truffle mayo. I could eat this combination every week. Unfortunately, I'm not from Hamburg. But if I go back there, it will be at your place. Super friendly service, too!

Highly recommended. Ever since I first came here three years ago on a study trip, it's been a must on every visit to Hamburg. Super friendly staff and the food is absolutely delicious. The avocado salad this time, but the burgers are also highly recommended. Next time, I'll have to try the pasta dishes and gyros as well :)

Great food. You can easily go there with (open-minded) meat eaters without them complaining. The portions are rather small, though. However, the price is reasonable, considering it's located in Eppendorf and vegan. I visited the restaurant wearing a real leather jacket, but thanks for serving me anyway.

Great burgers, I wouldn't have thought the crispy patties would be so amazing. The onion rings were also top-notch. The prices are absolutely fair. Definitely on my "I'll definitely eat again" list!! Finally back here, a must-do on a trip to Hamburg. Tried the kitchen team's new patty creation and was once again pleasantly surprised. A delicious Champions Burger with a soy patty. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Hamburg and another visit.

We were here for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled! There's a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and there's something for every taste when it comes to drinks, too. The food was prepared fresh after ordering at the counter, with a short wait. It was delicious and well-seasoned. We couldn't decide, so we'll be back to try the pasta or pizza. A very nice restaurant! Highly recommended!

Really good! We came here with no expectations and were truly impressed. The (drink) prices are fair, the portions generous, and the service friendly. The atmosphere is casual. We had pizza with gyro. What a combination! The vegan cheese was perfectly melted, the gyro spicy, and the tzatziki deliciously garlicky. Highly recommended!

The best vegan gyro pita in Hamburg! Huge portion, fair price, incredibly delicious!

Unfortunately, I had a discordant experience. The salad was served on a flat plate, which made it very difficult to eat. There was also very little avocado and schnitzel, and the balsamic dressing had a very faint taste of balsamic. The pizza dough was really doughy and somewhat unspectacular; everything was unfortunately too salty. The sucuk is delicious. The waiter was super nice, but his service was unfortunately still poor, even though he tried very hard. All in all, I wouldn't go back and was very disappointed with the 4.9 stars and the price.

We were there for the first time recently and hope to return sometime. The service deserves special mention—a lady with short blonde hair who really made us feel at home. We paid by card and couldn't tip, but we'll do that next time. A quick word about the food: currywurst with fries and gyro in a pita sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious! The sausage was great in texture. I personally particularly liked the fries and mayo; even though they're such "simple" things, they were delicious in a different way. And definitely try the cakes from the display case—simply delicious! We opted for a Snickers slice; it was simply delicious. It's a shame we miss something like that in Cologne. One more reason to go to Hamburg 😉

Of the minuses I would note that when it is cold outside, it is cool in the cafe. The choice of food is not as large and tasty as I would like. The renovation of the toilet premises is absolutely not similar to the style of the rest of the restaurant. But we really like to gather here and play board games.

We were passing through Hamburg and were delighted to visit a purely vegan restaurant. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the lady behind the counter. Ordering was done at the counter, which wasn't a problem for us, and the food arrived very quickly. The vegan gyro was extremely delicious (a bit spicy for my taste, but I'm sensitive to fries), the burgers were excellent, and the sweet potato fries were a highlight. We especially liked that the lady at the counter came by during our meal, asked questions, and offered us some sauce – very attentive and welcoming. One small negative point was the women's restroom, which could have been cleaner and smelled slightly of smoke. But that hardly dampened our overall very positive impression. To finish off, we had some vegan Snickers slices – absolutely delicious, we've never had anything so delicious! It's a shame we don't live in Hamburg, otherwise we would definitely be here more often. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to the city.

Very tasty Portions are large. You'll fill yourself up here. Apple & Eve is apparently planning another brand - Vegab. This one will also be available in Frankfurt. I'll keep my eyes open. Thanks for such good vegan food. It's rare to find it in Europe. I appreciate it.

Nice shop in a central location, and the service was very friendly and relaxed :) Now, the most important thing: the food. The burger was delicious and one of the few good vegan burgers in Hamburg. We also ordered a salad and were surprised by the HUGE portion, and the salad was also very, very tasty. I'll definitely be back a few more times and try everything on the menu :)

Great idea (everything vegan), great attitude, and friendly staff. The food depends on the choice; the gyro sandwich tastes rather acceptable, the salads are tasty and the portions are generous, and the chili cheese fries are also delicious. You don't have to worry about being vegan here; there's plenty to choose from.

Super Lieber Mitarbeiter der tollen Service anbietet, man fühlt sich sehr willkommen,das Essen ist vegan und super lecker und es ist alles so gemütlich. Meine Persönliche Empfehlung ist das Gyros Sandwich was unglaublich lecker ist und super satt gemacht hat, bei der Getränkeauswahl ist für jeden was dabei. Also alles im Großen und ganzen ist alles mega Empfehlungswert oder wie ich sagen würde Slay haha.

This review is more about the service. When we were greeted at the counter and wanted to order, we were told to take a seat and someone would come over to take our order. We appreciated the gesture, so we took our cards and sat down. We waited a long time, and no one came to take our order. Accordingly, I was unsure whether we were allowed to order. However, the other employee (forgive me, pronouns and gender were unclear) told us to order at the counter and insisted. Based on the way we were told, we were forced to get up and decided never to come back. What a shame!

Absolutely thrilled! It was my second time here and, just like the first time, I was not disappointed. Super friendly and dedicated staff, generous portions, and super delicious food! We both had the gyro bowl; I'm vegetarian and my husband eats meat, and we both loved it! Highly recommended, we'll be back.

I ate vegan food at Apple and Eve last year and was blown away. Incredibly delicious food and such a great atmosphere! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it!

We were in Hamburg over Pentecost and ate at your restaurant three days in a row! It was fantastic! We had two non-vegans with us, and after the first meal, they were so impressed that they wanted to eat with us the other evenings. The food is freshly prepared, of top quality, and incredibly delicious. I have to say, I've NEVER been served so friendly in a restaurant before. Every day, there were different employees behind the counter, each one friendlier than the last – simply fantastic! Keep up the good work. The currywurst is incredibly delicious, but so are the salad with avocado and schnitzel, the doner kebab, and the vegetable pasta! All in all, we'll be happy to come back on our next visits to Hamburg!

My recommendation: Instead of fast food, try the avocado salad with meat strips. It's first-class and surprisingly filling.

I've been vegan for three years, and in that time I've never eaten as well as I did here today. (Onion burger meal with sweet potato fries and truffle and garlic mayo) Plus, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'd give it even more stars if I could.

Había visto Apple y Eva en TripAdvisor y pensé que valdría la pena probarlo. Qué espléndido lugar; buena comida y servicio amable. Tenía los giros y mi esposa la ensalada de aguacate. Las porciones eran sustanciales (se llevaron algunas de vuelta con nosotros en una bolsa de perro) y lleno de sabor. Sin duda recomendaría Apple y Eva - sin lujos, solo buena comida y una cálida bienvenida.
