Food is great, huge portions! The service is above average in Gera, the best waiter is Dani!

A very nice atmosphere and a wonderful view of the theater! The drinks are completely inexpensive and can only be recommended. The service is great, but it took a while. All in all, highly recommended and worth a visit. It's best to reserve a place online! The Aposto is very popular for tourists and residents.

After my first visit was a failure due to a long wait and therefore no food, my second visit was good and the food was delicious.

Cozy, fairly large restaurant. Pizzas really tasty. Large selection of drinks. Reasonable prices. Very friendly service.

It doesn't have much in common with an Italian restaurant. The heavily "Germanized" menu, the lack of an open house wine and the lack of music give the restaurant more of a cafeteria character. Nonetheless, the food was okay and the service tried its best. The location of the restaurant is nice.

Food: The pizza was okay. The dough lacks rising power, which is why the pizza was too thin for me for the first time in my life. Thin is actually good but not when it's like a cookie. Unfortunately, Pizza GOA has nothing to do with Tandori Chicken. Too bad for the price. Service: seemed overwhelmed. (In his defense, they were also very busy). Nevertheless, the wrong pizza came with a long waiting time. Sweatpants are also not appropriate for service. The ambience is okay but unfortunately too loud in the back room. These concrete walls make the problem even worse. Too many tables for the room.

Unfortunately we didn't like it at all. We had pasta Napoli and carbonara and everything was totally over-seasoned. The carbonara was the worst I've ever had with a very strange taste. That's why the majority declined. The service offered an alternative but we rejected it.

I would agree with some of the other reports. We stopped offering on-site dining a long time ago. It's very loud and if you have to wait forever on site it's not much fun. So the order is the current choice. But here there are points that don't allow 4 either. The menu doesn't vary and when you order, you don't get the same dishes as you would on site. And then...One hour is the standard time, and if you want to pick it up...take the chance, stand right in front of the counter and bet when you'll be noticed...I have to admit, I stopped the second last time after 20 minutes. Food is often not ready and lately things like sauces are often missing or completely wrong. In the end, it's not a cheap snack bar, and even if a lack of staff leads to unwanted situations... no more 4 stars for a long time

It wasn't really great. Good first impression, ambience and staff. Menu has lots of pasta and pizza. Drinks and starters went quickly, main course took forever. You just felt forgotten. Pizza was very dry. Overall disappointing for the price level

I hadn't been here for a long time, but today it was definitely worth it, even without a reservation you can get a very good place here. Went spontaneously to the Aposto on Saturday afternoon. As soon as we entered the shop we were warmly welcomed, got a table without any problems and were completely impressed by the cozy and tasteful atmosphere. The service was more than friendly, accommodating and super nice. After a very tasty meal, in which the veggies weren't neglected, there was a Cockie for dessert 😍🤩 A very clear recommendation, if we ever end up in Gera from Berlin again...we will definitely come back.

I can only warmly recommend the Aposto. You will be warmly welcomed and served at all times. The food always tastes very good and special requests are also catered for very well. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy. I would love to come back.

We have been to Aposto several times and have only had positive experiences with both the service and the food. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel even more comfortable in the already cozy restaurant with the great atmosphere (it's definitely worth a good tip!). The menu and website follow a consistent design, which makes it easy to find your way around. In addition to meat dishes, the menu also includes vegetarian and vegan dishes, so there is something for everyone. When we ordered in advance or ordered there and then took the food with us, everything worked smoothly. All in all, Aposto is a highly recommended restaurant that we will go to a few more times.

We had dinner with friends. It tasted very good and the staff was very nice. When we wanted to pay with the card, the waiter asked if we wanted to add the tip. This question was new for us. We always tip but have never been asked to do so. There are certainly people who don't tip when paying by card, but that's their decision. We don't belong. Nevertheless, the question of operation surprised us a bit.

Always nice, even if only collection due to the lockdown. 09/2024 It's also worth visiting before and after a pandemic. Don't forget to pre-order on the weekend.

Alles war erst einmal bestens. Das Essen war sehr gut. Als wir zahlen wollten, wurden wir vom Keller gefragt, wieviel Trinkgeld wir geben möchten. Wir geben von uns aus immer Trinkgeld, aber da waren wir schon etwas erstaunt.

As a loyal regular customer for over 10 years now, I unfortunately have to comment on the increasing renovation backlog and the monotony of the food. We usually come to the restaurant in larger groups of at least 8 people. The cocktail menu would do well with more drinks with wholesome juices (not concentrates). The Aposto Gera was actually supposed to close in February 2024 to renovate the interior after 10 years of business. This was postponed to October 2024 and now again indefinitely, which I very much regret. Whatever the reasons, the renovation seems urgent to me. The tables are worn, some of the tabletops are wobbly and the stickers on them are smudged. Seat cushion completely worn out and artificial leather partially torn. All knives are totally blunt. Long coffee spoons look like flexible, cheap metal. Price level appropriate for location and offering, even if Aposto is the first restaurant in the city to adjust prices upwards during a price round. Meat dishes (steak, chicken breast, salmon) are significantly too expensive and above the price level of the competitors. Pizza rolls are tiny for the high price. Not comparable to pizza services and far smaller than in their own advertising photos on flyers (1 pizza roll is hardly bigger than a domino at Christmas time). This borders on deliberately distorted advertising representation. Unfortunately the desserts are considerably too sweet. Sure, guests want a sweet ending, but with the sugar content of all desserts, everyone's insulin levels skyrocket. Service and waiters always motivated and in a good mood. As a boss, you can be proud of the team. Background noise in the guest room was very loud despite the acoustic ceiling. There are simply no room dividers. The food offering could use a general overhaul and not just be supplemented with monthly menus. Unfortunately, we have now only received 3 stars from what was once a 5-star rating. I'm hoping for an investment boost from long-time franchisee Jens Dzurny.

The restaurant is directly opposite the theater. Parking spaces are easily accessible on foot. The food was all good, only the pizza was quite poorly topped for the price.

Wir hatten reserviert. Leider waren Gäste vor uns da und konnten sich einen Platz draußen suchen, auch ohne Reservierung. Wir mussten dann leider drinnen sitzen. Tisch war noch dreckig. Wir mussten lange warten, bis wir reservieren konnten. Essen und Getränke kamen dann gleichzeitig. Ich war schon öfter da, nur leider dieses Mal etwas enttäuscht.

The food is delicious, but you have to wait a long time for it. I was wondering if people have starved there while waiting for their order. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether the food is worth this long wait.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung wie man es in der Gastronomie erwartet, Essen sehr lecker und viel. Leider war im Magen kein Platz mehr für den Nachtisch. Gerne wieder!

Im Aposto ist es immer wieder schön. Jeder findet etwas auf der Speisekarte. Wir wurden von einem sehr jungen Kellner super und angenehm bedient. Alle Extrawünsche werden angenommen und bestmöglichst umgesetzt. Es war ein entspannter Sommerabend auf der Terrasse, sodass wir keinen unangehmen Geräuschpegel hatten.

A nice restaurant with space for large groups. Card payment possible. Service is friendly and quick. The pizza is big enough and well topped. The dough is aromatic. The desserts are excellent but a bit overpriced considering the quantity. New sharp knives for cutting the pizza would be a sensible purchase. Toilets are modern and in excellent condition. I'd love to come back.

The last visit was spontaneous, for a drink or ice cream. I like to come, no matter what time - always greeted and served in a very friendly manner!

The food is really delicious and fresh, great ingredients. Unfortunately, the drinks are not at the same level; some time ago they were even better and more aromatic or stronger in taste. Unfortunately, the service wasn't convincing, the waitress wasn't really attentive and you sometimes had to wait a long time for your food or dessert. The food is worth coming back for. Unfortunately not for the drinks and the service.

On our way through we stopped at the Aposto. The starter was great, the goat cheese was sensational. The main course was a pizza with burrata. This was also very tasty. The service took a while to begin with, but improved over the course of the evening. That's why it's five stars overall. Keep it up…

Wir wurden sehr nett bedient und das Essen hat uns geschmeckt

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und getrunken, wurden freundlich bedient, besonders von der jungen Frau, während der mürrisch blickende Mann, der später bediente, auch so war, einen Espresso vergaß, sich auch nicht mehr umwenden wollte, um die Reklamation aufzunehmen.

Price performance doesn't fit at all. For a 0.75 l bottle of water €7.50. A pizza for €15 with underbaked dough and very little toppings is not possible at all. The starter (goat cheese) for €10.50 was also very “clear”. The service staff seem somehow haphazard. So we won't be coming back. A pity. There are better pizzerias in Gera.

Open-air terrace opposite the Gera Theater, for a pizza and a juice. Nicely located in the shade, friendly service. I'd be happy to go again next time I'm at the theater.

My and others' pizzas were pretty black. This makes the knives dull. Service was friendly and helpful, but the wait was still long. Noise level like in the breakfast room of the child-friendly holiday hotel. There are much better restaurants.

The potato pan baked with cheese was too salty. When I asked to complain about it, all I got was the unfriendly announcement that it wouldn't work because I had already eaten a few bites. The room is quite loud. The homemade lemonade with raspberries has no fruit, just water with syrup and a few mint leaves. A culinary disappointment, but it might be good for eating pizza.

After my second visit it is also time for feedback. When many people think of Italian food, they think of pasta and pizza. Yes it is, but with so much style that the eye is fed up just by looking at it. Despite the house being full, we were served quickly. One can only praise the staff and the kitchen. We will be back

Definitely my favorite restaurant in Gera. I'm overwhelmed every time I eat there!

The dough on my pizza was so burnt that I had to put the first one back. The second pizza also served me with rock-hard dough. In addition, the pizza was uncut and you had to cut it yourself with dull knives.

We just wanted to have lunch. The service was slow even though there weren't really many visitors. Then a pizza came uncut and it took almost 5 minutes to make up for it. Unfortunately there was no apology from the house either. We are used to different things.

Wir hatten einen Mojeto der gar nicht geschmeckt hat. Bedienung bemühte sich aber darum. Ich aß den Jackpot, der mir gar nicht schmeckte, alles Zuviel Soße, keine Spur von Rosmarin. Zweimal kam die Bedienung mit einer Bestellung, die nicht durch uns ausgelöst wurden war. In der nächsten Zeit werde ich kein Gast bei Ihnen sein.

Super nice restaurant, right next to the theater. Access to the restaurant and toilet are handicapped accessible. Large selection of drinks and food, including very unusual but tasty pizzas. We had 4 different pizzas, all of which were super tasty and very large. We were completely satisfied. Service was friendly & very accommodating.

Gastronomy as I imagine it. Friendly service, fast and delicious food, for everyone at the same time.

Unfortunately it all took a very long time, even though it wasn't full. The pizzas weren't particularly tasty. I'm used to better pizzas from other Italians. The waiter was nice, but came to the table far too rarely and was inattentive. The location is ok. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not good. Too expensive for the quality of the food. We won't be coming back.

Es war wieder sehr schön und lecker! Das Wetter spielte auch mit, so dass wir die tolle Terrasse genießen konnten. Das Essen war wie immer lecker, aufgrund des tollen Retro-Pasta Angebots zudem auch sehr günstig.

We had a nice table in the back area, so the traffic of people and waiters wasn't so noticeable. We treated ourselves to a selection of starters and everything was delicious. Our service employee was also in a good mood, had a smile for us and was attentive and everything came at the right time. The cocktails at happy hour were perfect.

We went here for dinner with the whole family a few weeks ago after a trip. We received a very friendly welcome and there was something for the children to paint. The food, drinks and desserts all tasted delicious. The staff took great care of us and was very nice. We would love to come back here.

Die Location ist sehr schön. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut bombe. Gerichte etwas "ausgefallen" und sehr lecker. Für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Personal war auch sehr freundlich.

The ambience is fine. My main course tasted good and the quantity was sufficient for the price. However, the price-performance ratio of the cocktails leaves a lot to be desired. There was at least 3/4 of ice in my 8 euro cocktail. The rest of the cocktail didn't really have anything about it that would justify the price. You won't find any fresh fruit in the cocktails. The biggest problem is that there seems to be a systematic error in the ordering system, which sometimes takes enormous amounts of time for what has been ordered to arrive at the table or sometimes it simply doesn't arrive at all. However, I don't think it's the fault of the waitresses, as they were very active and very accommodating when there were problems. Finally, I have to say that the amount of "Fried New York Cheesecake" is like a bad joke.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Getränke wurden sehr rasch aufgenommen und gebracht, die Auswahl an Speisen ist vielfältig, das Essen selber wird heiß serviert und schmeckt sehr gut. Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und haben das Aposto zufrieden und satt verlassen. Dieser schöne Abend in Familie wird uns sicher noch einige Zeit in Erinnerung bleiben.

Best location with a view of the theater. Service was great and very friendly. The variety of the menu is top and in this form is unique in Gera and the surrounding area.

Unfortunately our food got cold too quickly because we were sitting outside. The pizza dough was very thin and therefore completely crispy... The suburban brat (zucchini noodles) were unfortunately too soaked in oil for my taste, but still delicious. The prices were OK and the ambience is really great!

The atmosphere could be more comfortable. The staff is friendly. The menu is good, with something for everyone, whether pizza 🍕 or salad as well as drinks.
