Aposto Aalen in Aalen

Unfortunately, it's been terrible since the renovation. Both the organization and the food are awful. The pizza is like cardboard, the salads are far too acidic, and the pasta is bland or swimming in oil. Maybe we just happened to catch them on bad days, but it's definitely not what it used to be.

We had a reservation for 2:00 PM and specifically requested a table upstairs – yet we were given a table downstairs without explanation. The drinks arrived quickly, but both iced teas (peach and lemon) were extremely sour and tasted identical. We then had to wait a very long time for our food. The pizza dough was far too thin, partly burnt, and the Caesar pizza consisted mostly of inedible lettuce ends with very little chicken, which tasted like it had been pre-packaged. The service also seemed rushed: While we were still eating, the waiter suddenly said goodbye, explaining that his colleague would take over – while simultaneously continuing to serve other tables. By the time dessert arrived, a "Reserved" sign had already been placed on our table. Overall, we felt more like we were being ushered out than welcomed. Unfortunately, a disappointing experience.

The worst pizza, Ham & Mushroom, I've eaten in Aalen. The spaghetti Bolognese had more in common with goulash than Bolognese. The sauce on the pizza was plentiful, but there wasn't much else on it. One slice of ham, cut in half, half a portobello mushroom, and a sliver of cheese, which is an outrage. The crust wasn't made properly, far too thin, and consequently burned on the stone floor. Like a shoe sole. My favorite dish, spaghetti Bolognese, was awful. The sauce was just sour and bland, no flavor whatsoever, and there was a ton of carrots in it. The spaghetti was like mush, overcooked. In short – 70 euros for nothing. The waitress didn't even acknowledge when we told her it was terrible. Our plates were still half full. Yet she showed no interest in asking what was wrong. We were out all day and needed to eat; otherwise, I would have returned it immediately.

This used to be my favorite pizza place, but since the renovation, nothing tastes good anymore! The pasta is often so overcooked it's mushy, and if you send it back, the waitress rolls her eyes. This has happened twice already, and I haven't ordered pasta since. Now, about the pizza: it used to be absolutely perfect, but now?! I understand that they have to make it a bit smaller since everything is getting more expensive, but it's not just much smaller, it's also just a huge amount of crust, then a huge amount of sauce, and then an absurdly small amount of toppings and cheese in the middle. It's truly outrageous! I would be ashamed as a chef to send a pizza like that out to a customer. Then we gave it another chance and got even LESS toppings! One slice of mushroom and two slices of ham, a tiny bit of sour, strange-tasting sauce. It's an absolute disgrace. This used to be my regular spot, but I will definitely never set foot in there again. I even have a 50% and a 25% discount code, but I'd rather let them expire. What a shame.

I ate there two years ago. We were there at lunchtime, and it wasn't very busy. It took a while for the food to arrive, but it was very tasty, and I would definitely eat there again.

We've been coming to Aposto for many years. Unfortunately, the staff is a disaster. We were standing in the aisle, waiting to be shown to a table. Three employees stood in front of us, treated us like we were invisible, and fiddled with their phones. After finding a table ourselves, we weren't served. This has happened countless times before. We are so dissatisfied and would give negative stars if we could. After so many years and so many attempts, we will definitely never come back.

Since Aposto was renovated, I don't find the food as tasty anymore. The menu is no longer visually appealing; it looks cheap and is practically falling apart. Unfortunately, there aren't as many pasta options anymore, and the extra toppings are very expensive. The decor is very nice, and the service is very friendly and attentive. My food was almost cold when it arrived, and somehow the sauce from the former "Seemannsgarn" (Sailor's Yarn) didn't taste as much like tomatoes anymore. It's fine for cocktails, though.

The four of us wanted to spend a nice evening at Aposto – but that was quickly ruined. There was a snail clinging to the mint leaf in one of our cocktails. Incredibly unhygienic and absolutely disgusting. The server's claim that the mint is "normally" washed only made matters worse. No apology from the owner, no real attempt at compensation – only that one cocktail was waived. Far too little! I am extremely disappointed and would not have expected something like this from Aposto. Hygiene is paramount, and here it completely failed. This is absolutely unacceptable.

We were totally shocked yesterday when we found a snail on the mint leaf in one of our cocktails. It was truly off-putting. The server then said that the mint leaves are "normally" washed. Not today, apparently? We didn't have to pay for the affected cocktail, but we at least expected an apology from the manager. This is completely unacceptable; not a word of regret from the management. If I were the manager, I would be incredibly embarrassed. As it was, we had to pay for the rest of the cocktails. After this incident, we will definitely be getting our cocktails somewhere else in the future.

Yesterday, I was at Aposto with three other people and ordered a cocktail. There was a live snail on the mint leaf in my drink. This was extremely disgusting and strongly suggests that the mint leaves are either not washed at all or only inadequately. For a restaurant/bar of this caliber, this is absolutely unacceptable. While we didn't have to pay for the cocktail in question, there was no other form of compensation offered. What disappointed me most was that the owner didn't come to our table personally to apologize or explain the situation. Overall, the experience was truly revolting, and the way the incident was handled was simply appalling. I won't be returning anytime soon and, unfortunately, cannot recommend this establishment after this experience.

The ambiance is really lovely, but waiting 20 minutes for a coffee in a half-full restaurant is a bit long. Next time we'll sit at the bar, as it seems to be faster there, since guests who arrived after us got their drinks sooner.

The tuna pizza was alright, but we always went to Aposto for the grumpy pizza, so we were disappointed to find it was no longer on the menu due to a change. Overall, though, everything was good as usual; the service was very friendly and our table was comfortable.

Hi, I usually prefer to eat in the restaurant and haven't ordered takeout very often. But I find this really disappointing... (see picture) At first, I was excited about all the changes, but now I'm becoming very skeptical. The shortened happy hour – okay, I can understand that. Fewer jumbo cocktails – okay. No more cool names – I honestly don't get it; that was what Aposto was all about, the "hipster style." Fewer unusual dishes – that was also what Aposto was all about: unusual pizzas, wild creations, crazy combinations. But higher prices and less "product" – that's really pushing it. It was very tasty, but much smaller than usual and with far fewer toppings. Since Aposto is a chain, I think the changes came from "above." It's a real shame; it used to be a restaurant with unique dishes at very fair prices and a cool atmosphere. ... I'm curious to see what the restaurant is like now, and I really, really hope this was just a one-off. Otherwise, Aposto unfortunately won't remain my favorite restaurant. :/ This isn't meant to be hate mail, even though I'm really disappointed right now. It's feedback with the hope that my favorite restaurant doesn't turn into just another run-of-the-mill place.

The best restaurant I have visited so far in Aalen. Great service, generous size of dishes and really well mixed Cocktails. Meals are around 14 euros, cocktails around 9. Highly recommend and will come back more often. Enjoy happy hour with half price on drinks from 17 to 19h

It's gotten even better since the renovation. The food tastes really good. Sometimes a little greasy, but not always. The coffee (espresso for €1) is excellent. The ambiance is also very nice. Service is friendly and attentive. I recommend it for anyone looking for delicious Italian food. Prices are reasonable, but the value is good.

I've been going to aposto in Aalen for a long time now because I always find the atmosphere cozy, the food great value for money, and the service excellent. But unfortunately, since aposto got a new design, the menu has also changed. My always-loved pizza is no longer available, and unfortunately, the new version is much worse. I'll still eat there, but probably not as often. It's a real shame.

I went there with my girls. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, and we didn't have to wait long. We'd love to go back 👍🏻

We wanted to order a pizza to go today, but after four calls, we were told it wasn't available right now and to call back later. We called again, however, and were told to call back at 5 p.m. When we did, we were told they were no longer accepting orders by phone and that we should come by, but that it might take longer. It's a shame that they send their own guests on a telephone scavenger hunt to possibly get a pizza. It's almost sad, really. We wanted to give this pizzeria a chance, but I think it's a bit too complex; others are much more customer-friendly in this regard, as you can also order online there. Unfortunately, the website here is very poorly functioning.

I recommend the restaurant, doesn’t matter whether pasta or pizza I always get good food there. Today I had liebhaber, which is a Fresh linguini, butter stock, Prawns, goat cheese, italian country ham, red onion, cherry tomatoes and Garlic. And for the first time the orange mango limonade.

The location and food are very good, but the staff should be more attentive and frequent, checking in regularly to see if everything is okay. Orders should also be taken more quickly. If necessary, the managers should personally take the initiative if staffing is lacking. Otherwise, the atmosphere and food are good.

We recently ate at the restaurant and had a mixed impression overall. Big praise to the waitress with glasses and dark hair, very friendly, attentive, and quick. The service overall was prompt and courteous. I had the vegan Margherita, which unfortunately wasn't my cup of tea. It was very tasteless, lacking any herbs or spices, and the overall impression was rather artificial, almost plasticky in taste. I've eaten much better vegan pizzas, and I wouldn't recommend it. The food of the others at the table was much better, though, and the homemade lemonades were also delicious and refreshing. Somewhat unexpectedly, one of the waitresses cried during our visit. We hope she's feeling better now.

We went to Aposto for pizza. Not only is the atmosphere incredibly cozy, the food is also delicious, and the service is excellent. The pizzas can be ordered half-and-half, whichever you prefer. The cocktails are delicious and, thanks to the Happy Hour, always affordable. We'll keep going. Highly recommended.

The price was very fair, but the taste wasn't quite convincing: the pasta was rather bland overall, lacked seasoning, and some of the noodles weren't quite al dente. I ordered a matcha drink, which unfortunately barely tasted like matcha. The ambiance is nice and inviting. The service was friendly and helpful, even correcting my own incorrect order without any problems. However, the waitress seemed a bit clumsy at times. Overall, a nice place with good value for money, but the food and drinks could still be improved.

Yet another "lifestyle restaurant" that doesn't do well when it comes to food. Pizza is okay, but pasta? Calling it pasta is a bit cheeky. Better go to a good trattoria that serves real pasta! (There's one very close to AA, by the way;-) Otherwise, I associate it more with the usual Tex-Mex chains. OK for a cocktail (but even those are rather mid-range). What a pity about the very cool atmosphere and good service!

Four of us came for brunch, and unfortunately, this time it was quite a disappointment. It took over 45 minutes for anyone to even take our order – and that was only because we asked several times. After that, we had to wait another half hour for our drinks, which were served at the same time as the meal. The food was delicious – the eggs in particular were perfect, and the coffee was also delicious. But the long wait prevented us from truly enjoying the whole experience. What also bothered us was that the staff seemed extremely hectic, almost overwhelmed. This hecticness rubbed off on us – as guests, we felt somehow under pressure and uncomfortable, which completely ruined the relaxed brunch experience. It's a shame, because we actually really enjoy coming here in the evenings and have always been satisfied. But the brunch was unfortunately a huge disappointment.
