We wanted to try the Apollo because of the good reviews. The food was good, the service wasn't unfriendly and the toilets were clean. The typically Greek restaurant is located in a residential area on the ground floor (a few stairs).

Unfriendly. Food is still possible. I wouldn't recommend it.

They cook deliciously and quickly. In general, there are no complaints. I directly recommend it

Finally a restaurant with Stifado on the menu again. Super good. Next time it will be the island plate.

Unfortunately there was no gyros... I personally don't understand when you go out for Greek food. In addition, the restaurant was already wiped down even though there were still customers present. However, food was OK.

Food and service is very good. The prices are reasonable. However, the "hall" is more of a canteen with cold white light. The next room is super pleasant.

Unfortunately, something went wrong in the kitchen this time...or maybe the chef is deeply in love! We ordered take away and you just couldn't eat the fries. They must have fallen into the salt barrel. It's a real shame... The vegetarian dish was also consistently oversalted. If you only have salt in your mouth, your enjoyment is unfortunately very limited. Normally we were always very enthusiastic about the kitchen, so yesterday was a bitter disappointment and came as a surprise. Hopefully it was just a blip.

Wanted to try a new Greek again! We were very satisfied, the only criticism was that the food was no longer warm/hot! Just lukewarm. But the taste is great! Service was also totally on point and very friendly. Of particular note is that there are several draft beers to choose from.

We were here for the first time and were more than satisfied. The food is super tasty, the price is more than good and the staff is very friendly. We'll definitely be back

Our absolute favorite Greek for years. Even after moving, we always go there again. Unfortunately, it lagged behind in comparison. The map has been reduced in size quite a bit. The appetizer plate was completely removed and there is no longer a side salad, unless you pay extra for it, the fries as a side dish have become very few or ridiculous. I also think that charging €15 for children's calamari, 3 pieces and a few fries is quite excessive. Everything has become reduced and the prices have increased enormously. The taste is still great and the service is always super friendly and thoughtful. Requests for changes are accepted and attempted to be fulfilled at any time Unfortunately, we will still have to look for a new one

Nice little restaurant. The food tastes very good, but the portions are a bit small.

I am absolutely thrilled with the gyro salad, but also the gyro calamari, everything is super delicious. Unfortunately, the main room is very loud when it is full, but the delicious food makes up for that. The waitresses are very nice and accommodating. Parking situation is rather difficult, you just have to earn your food by walking. Otherwise, absolute recommendation, TOP

We received a very friendly welcome here on January 6, 2025 with a group of 9 people without registering. The food was excellent as was the service. We'd love to come back.

The Apollon is definitely my favorite Greek restaurant! The food is always excellent and, especially in contrast to other Greek restaurants, there is a nice selection of vegetarian dishes (if I could make a wish, I would add boureki to the menu - I eat it every year on vacation - super delicious! ). The service is also excellent and the whole team is always very friendly and accommodating. A special highlight is certainly the outdoor terrace in summer with a beautiful view of the countryside. The interior is also very tastefully decorated, but the acoustics leave something to be desired. At high occupancy, the background noise is rather unsuitable, especially for people who are sensitive to noise. However, this is only a very small negative point. All in all, for me the best restaurant in Stein!

Four of us ate there, but none of us were really full. My souvlaki came with a really stingy scoop of tomato rice from the ice cream scoop and 5 fries. The lamb shanks and the other side dishes weren't any better in terms of size. Given the prices and this quantity, at least a side salad would be free. Although it was really tasty, we won't be visiting this restaurant again for certain reasons.

We come here very often and very much. On the one hand, the food is phenomenally good and all wishes are fulfilled. And on the other hand, the service is simply excellent: warm, friendly and very fond of children!! There are also a lot of vegetarian and even vegan dishes. All of which are super delicious.

We were very lucky to have Zoe and her team cater our wedding of 65 guests and it was a great choice! From the initial planning through to execution, everything went smoothly. The advice beforehand was professional, constructive and Zoe brought in many good ideas. The menu design was varied and well thought out. On the wedding day itself, the catering was a highlight. The buffet was beautifully presented and culinary at the highest level. All dishes were fresh, hot, tasty and well balanced. Many of our guests specifically praised the food. The service was also great, it was easy to set up and dismantle. We can highly recommend the Apollon and would like to thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. You helped make our special day truly unforgettable. Thank you!

We only went to the sauna in Stein on the palm beach. Then we spontaneously wanted to go out for a Greek meal. And we ended up in this great restaurant. Great ambience, nice service, ouzo as a welcome, as soon as we ordered the food was on the table and it was really tasty and hot. Really great price. We had pita and tzatziki and stuffed red peppers. 1x island plate, 1x the 55 and chocolate soufflé for dessert. Everything fine.

The best Greek far and wide 😉 always had another regular Greek and then came across Apollon. We've been going there for years now and we love it. We have already taken people with us several times, whoever goes there now. The food fantastic. Beautifully prepared and always very, very good. Meat and calamaria are always super soft and super tasty. We don't go anywhere else anymore.

In our opinion, this is currently the best Greek in our region. On the one hand, the dishes are always phenomenally tasty, whether vegetarian, meat or fish, and on the other hand, there is excellent service. All the employees are super friendly, accommodating and all in a fantastic atmosphere. Our personal highlight is the terrace in summer with a wonderful view over the meadow. Favorite dishes: grilled calamari, grilled vegetables and grilled pepperoni

Very nice Greek restaurant. Make a real effort too Gluten intolerance. The food is great and the conditions are very friendly. Still great, unfortunately sometimes there is no space without a reservation. So if you go there spontaneously, you should expect a waiting time.

We were there for the first time and absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and you didn't have to wait long. The portions are also large enough to fill everyone up. The ambience inside and outside is really nice, and the terrace is really great in summer. We'll definitely be back!

Were here for the first time, I had grilled octopus that was very tasty, buttery soft, I can recommend it to everyone. Me and my family would say that after many years of experience at Greek restaurants it is the number 1 in Nuremberg when it comes to the quality of the food compared to all the others without saying that the others are bad or anything but this restaurant stands out from the crowd. There were 7 of us and everyone was happy with the gyros, suvlaki, bifteki, kalamaris, scampi, octapus, salad, everything was very tasty. If something is good you should praise it and say so and we didn't think it was a bad thing that there was no side salad - in contrast, we didn't even notice that you can order it if you want to eat with it. And to be honest, you go for the meat and fish and not for the salad, right?? The only point of criticism was that we had to wait over an hour for the food. It would have been good to inform us, which I had to ask afterwards why because it was too full at lunchtime on Sunday, which is understandable, but letting the guest know would be helpful. I even think dogs are allowed, which is great.

I've been there several times and have always loved the menu because there were dishes here that not every Greek restaurant offers. And it was always delicious. Today I was there again and noticed that there was a new menu. Unfortunately, some delicious, somewhat unusual dishes are now missing...e.g. Pork skewer with a slightly spicy sauce or liver with fried onions. Nevertheless, it was very tasty and perhaps these dishes will be added to the menu again. In any case, the staff is very nice and the ambience with a view of the meadow is also very nice.

We were there yesterday spontaneously and for the first time after visiting the bathroom. After we had a craving for Greek food, we simply searched on Google. Very very tasty there! The baked calamari.....soft as butter :-) ... and the fries in the children's meal were fluffy but also crispy. Beautiful terrace without a reservation or being there as soon as it opens. We'll definitely be back!

Very beautiful gem in stone. Great terrace and tasteful interior design. Very friendly staff. Many vegetarian and specially designated vegan alternatives. Small criticism: if the feta is left out for a vegan alternative, you should check again whether the dish is spicy enough. Spoiler: it's not! 😉 PS: great house wines!

The food in the restaurant is very good. The service too. I just think this price increase with the side salad, which is no longer included with the meal but costs an additional €4.00 when ordered, is exaggerated. Unfortunately we won't be coming anymore!

We were regular customers for many years. However, this price increase cannot be justified. The side salad now costs an extra €4.50!!! This is usury. We now switch to the Greek restaurant on the main street. The price/performance is still consistent. Unfortunately you are alienating a lot of guests I know. A pity. ☹️

Very good Greek restaurant. Food is rich and, in my opinion, not as oversalted as other Greeks. I've never eaten anything bad here. Service is friendly and quick. Conclusion: A little more expensive than other Greeks, but it's worth it. Always happy to come here. A table reservation is always advisable.

We were guests at the Apollon for a very long time, but the prices here are showing an unjustifiable development that is no longer acceptable. Recently, the side salad has also been charged extra, and that is no longer in line with the reasonable price-performance ratio. We don't go there anymore.

Ordered food to pick up. Food just came from the kitchen and it only took 10 minutes for the first bite to be taken home. Calamari from the deep fryer is usually crispy, good in the box after 10 minutes it goes down a bit, BUT!!!!! These things had the consistency of a pudding! After biting into it once, we felt so sick and left it alone (perhaps it was cooked too long or there was so much oil in it that it soaked?) Fries were good. Rice and the remaining starters were ok. The side salad had so much dirt that we were worried about our teeth. Also left standing. Apollon was so advertised to me, but I was so very disappointed! About the furnishings: looks very inviting. Staff: Was nice.

We ordered the island plate and KRITHAROTO MUSSELS for our wedding anniversary. The calamari was so tender and the rest of the food was delicious and well seasoned! I haven't had such good Greek food in a long time. I can only recommend the food!

Always my pleasure; We need supplies of the baked zucchini and the grilled pepperoni every two weeks. The same goes for the gyros in Metaxa, the No.25 shrimp salad and the No.99 baked shrimp ***** The staff is super nice. The terrace has been beautifully modernized and of course covered. The restaurant is very elegant! Thank you to the whole team for the great service every time!

The food is super delicious. Would come again. On the day of our visit, the waiters weren't particularly attentive. It took 20 minutes to order the food. After the meal, no waiter came to ask if we had any wishes. Had to go to the counter to order a new drink..

If there is no free parking space in front of the restaurant, continue driving, down to the right, after 50 m there is a small parking lot on the left

We always enjoyed going there. The front menu says they don't want to raise prices at the moment. But ask for 4.50 for the side salad. That's a price increase of around 30%!!! So it has nothing to do with the fact that the VAT has been raised again. The prices are therefore far higher than any other Greek restaurant we know. Sorry, but we'd rather go somewhere else in the future.

Stopped by here spontaneously on vacation and got a seat even without booking in advance. Service very nice and competent. We also enjoyed the food very much and our junior's special requests regarding his allergy were easily accommodated.

Update 04/23/24 Our old dog (15 years old) was used to having a place to retreat under the stairs. When we were allowed to "inaugurate" the terrace, the shock was severe: the retreat was covered in ivy *sniff* From a business perspective I could understand it, but we were still offended. After years of loyal customers (Kira always got something extra, previously raw lamb chops, now as toothless goth souflaki) she was banned from her place. As I was grumbling to myself and Kira was turning her backside towards us in an insult, Zoe came running and asked how we liked the ivy. Long story short: Costa also joined us and then they both explained to us with a smile how to open the gate for our "little one". I cried with happiness. Thank you Zoe and Costa, you are such great people and you can feel that in the entire team... and there is a lot of love in the food that you can taste :-)))) About 9 months ago: We were regular guests at the old Apollon in Großreuth (at least 12 years) and met many of them here again, which speaks for the quality of the food as well as Zoe (boss) and her crew. The interiors are lovingly designed without appearing “Greek-overloaded”. The terrace is expensively equipped to protect against bad weather, including sun protection. Since the terrace was built on a hillside, the feeling is like being in a real beer garden: The tables sometimes wobble ;-) My favorite dish is chicken in Metaxa sauce but without fries but with pita bread...so delicious :-) All in all: full marks for a Greek restaurant where you can feel completely at home. If you expect a star restaurant, it's your own fault and you shouldn't write a review!

We like going to Apollon, but we also like to order for home. Very good quality food and very good service. I think the solution of leaving out the small salad as a replacement for increasing VAT on the price is great.
