Antik Restaurant in Ludwigsburg

We were a group of 13 people and had made a reservation at the Antik Restaurant well in advance. Despite this, our reservation was completely overlooked – supposedly "not recorded." Result: No table, even though everything was planned ahead. On top of that: The waiters were unfriendly, overwhelmed, and didn't give a professional impression. Organization = 0 points. This is no way to treat guests. Definitely the last time for us.

Far more guests than seats! We had a reservation for 11 people. The table was for 8, but there were only 5 chairs. The remaining chairs were brought from the garden. These were wet. The food is good, but that's no good to me if I have to stand for long periods and sit cramped; I can and will avoid this restaurant in the future.

Extremely disappointing – despite a birthday reservation, we didn't get a table!!! We had made a reservation for a birthday party, but when we arrived, the waiters had completely forgotten about it. After 45 minutes, we were offered a table for only 8 people, but there were 13 of us! They offered no compensation or apology whatsoever. Instead, we were simply left standing there. For a restaurant that advertises good organization and service, this is absolutely unacceptable!!!!!! We ended up having to eat somewhere else, and our birthday breakfast was completely ruined. Absolutely not recommended 👎🏼

Our reservation for 13 people fell through, including a heavily pregnant woman and two children. After waiting almost an hour, we were offered two different tables. Then they made fun of us and laughed very rudely in our faces. Very disrespectful and definitely not recommended.

The food overall was very oily, the chicken was too dry, and the salad dressing seemed heavily diluted with water. This isn't a place for those looking for something delicious; we went for the first time after the previous owner changed hands. I wish we hadn't. We didn't like the grilled food at all; it was dry and straw-like, and there wasn't even much Adana in the mixed grill. The salad was just chopped Eisberg lettuce, with only a little sauce on top. We searched for tripe in the tripe soup, but they only put it in portions. I don't think it was fresh, and it didn't taste very good. The only good thing was the wine, and they don't make that anyway. It should have been good value for that amount of money. I won't go again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

The food at the buffet didn't impress us: The scrambled eggs, in particular, were unfortunately very watery and unappetizing. The menemen (meat and vegetables) wasn't a real highlight either. However, I would like to highlight the freshly prepared gözleme, which was truly delicious and definitely stood out. The dessert buffet was also excellent and somewhat saved the evening. Overall, however, we're left with the impression that more could have been done here, both in terms of service and the main buffet.

We were there for breakfast/brunch at 11 a.m. on a Sunday. The gozleme was freshly made and delicious. Unfortunately, they had run out of soup. Of the hot dishes, only menemen, sucuk with egg, fries, and sausages were available. Unfortunately, everything was cold except for the menemen, which was okay. Sucuk with egg was swimming in cold water. The overall selection was rather small. Service was overwhelmed, with two servers for a full place. I ended up eating mostly from the fruit platter (melons, oranges, pineapple, grapes). The two stars are based on the value for money.

It was my first time at Antik and I was very pleasantly surprised. The lady was very friendly and took good care of us. There wasn't a long wait for the food. We ordered a meze plate, which was also delicious. It also came with a nice salad. For main courses, we had beyti and a yogurt-like Adana, both of which were very tasty and generous in portion size. Conclusion: definitely recommended.

We ate there with the family yesterday and were very disappointed. Some of the food was still raw. The menu said stuffed vine leaves with raisins and pine nuts + rice with grilled vegetables, which my wife was very happy about. My daughter was given a starter plate and I had beyti. My wife's vine leaves were only filled with rice and looked as if it had been served onto the plate from a can. Her rice plate with vegetables was not described as on the menu, the rice tasted like it had been eaten the day before and the vegetables were boiled instead of grilled. My daughter's starter plate was overloaded with more yogurt than anything else. My beyti arrived cold and the meat was raw and tough and simply tasted of nothing. We were very disappointed.

The main courses were also absolutely convincing: aromatic, high-quality preparation, and worth the price in every respect. Whether a relaxed meal with friends or a romantic evening for two – this restaurant offers the perfect setting.

This place is a disaster. We made a reservation with a woman on Tuesday and specifically asked if they were serving the platter or the buffet. We also specifically mentioned that we were only coming for the platter. They said there was no buffet, only the platter. That was perfect for us, since we only wanted the platter anyway. Now we're arriving there with the family on Father's Day and see the buffet. When we asked, they said there was no platter today... That's so disrespectful – just spit in your guests' faces! You take the day off, drive there with your family, look forward to treating them to a good breakfast – and then arrive to this all-inclusive battlefield feeling... Of course, we went somewhere else to eat – and we'll never set foot in that place again.

We were full of anticipation because the Instagram reels looked promising (breakfast buffet), but unfortunately, this expectation was not met at all. The place was extremely crowded and stuffy, which made the overall atmosphere very unpleasant. Even more disappointing, however, was the service: after waiting for ages, we had to call an employee over, and when we asked for a menu, we were told "self-service" without any clear communication. However, we did see that some drinks were served to order. It was confusing, but OK. Additionally, the selection was disappointing: The dishes advertised on Instagram were not available at all. Overall, a very frustrating visit, and we definitely won't be back.

The service is a disaster. There were five of us in the restaurant and we were ignored. Later... Menemen, sucuk, egg, and fries that had been prepared in the morning and only slightly warmed up. Everything was cold. For five people, there were two platters and a mini basket of sigara börek and fries. When we asked, we were told "only warm dishes can be reordered." And that was for five people. Extremely rude. Phrases like "I don't do the advertising you saw on Instagram." In the end, they still wanted the €99.80, and when we asked if we could see the bill for each meal, all we got was "No, I only have the EC receipt. You can divide 99.80 by 5, or should I do it for you?" They should be ashamed of themselves.

It's a shame, we won't visit the restaurant again.

The food was great. Went there for brunch at 10 a.m. for Mother's Day. I don't know if it's always that crowded but I wouldn't go later than 11am. Some things weren't refilled or reserved tables were occupied and guests had to wait. The service was stressed and the impatient guests became sour and discussions broke out. We sat outside and thank God we didn't notice a lot of things. Unfortunately, the service wasn't good, but that would have to be assessed on a “normal” day. Despite everything that the breakfast was great and tasted like, we would go there again right away when it opens.

We were there for breakfast and unfortunately it was a failure. Even though we said we weren't complete yet, they gave us the breakfast trays. Then came the egg dishes, which unfortunately weren't warm. The cappuccino was really disgusting. Service wasn't good at all, somehow stressful and not particularly friendly. After we had already finished eating, we asked for tea and it came, but tea glasses were missing. The water we ordered only came when we asked, again no glasses - we took them from the next table. We sat there for a while, but within three hours no one came to clear up, ask us if everything was okay or if we needed anything else... All in all, large portions and a lot of variety but unfortunately not freshly prepared and no homemade products either. When we wanted to pay we were told “I’m coming”, but the glasses were dried first. Then you go to the counter to pay… So once and never again! The disgusting toilet brush should be replaced!!!

The breakfast was great, we were served quickly and well, it tastes very good and you can have a sumptuous breakfast. We will definitely recommend it and will definitely come here more often!

We went to Antik Restaurant for brunch today. The selection was large, there were cold and warm dishes. There were also freshly made Gözleme with potato or sheep's cheese filling, which were incredibly tasty. There was also red lentil soup, fresh flatbread and simit rings. At the end there was delicious fruit (melons, pineapples, oranges, kiwi, grapes) plus a delicious, juicy cake and milk pudding in a glass with angel hair and pistachios on top. It is strongly recommended to make a reservation. Price per adult was €19.90, children €9.90. The price also included the classic black tea. All in all, highly recommended. Card payment is possible.

The idea of ​​the brunch concept sounded promising. Unfortunately, the implementation fails at every turn. The brunch platter, which was supposed to contain a variety of components, arrived incomplete - and not just once. We had to ask several times to get the missing parts, which apparently didn't go over well. The waiters either seemed annoyed or came with questionable explanations why we suddenly had to wait for something for an hour that is actually an integral part of the plate. If a restaurant can't handle its own concept, it may want to reconsider offering it at all. The organization of the brunch time was particularly bold. The duration was clearly limited, but instead of serving us straight away, we were left sitting at the table for almost an hour before anyone even came. Valuable time that was simply taken away from us. Given the already long wait for food, we barely had time to really enjoy the brunch. Unfortunately, in its current form, this is not a relaxed brunch experience, but rather a complete imposition. It's a shame, because the idea had potential. But the unfriendliness of the staff tops it all off - we definitely won't visit this restaurant again.

** Never again. Brunch not worth the money.** We had the “all you can eat a la carte” brunch on Saturday. You get a plate with the offer that you can reorder anything at any time. We were 5 adults and a toddler and had a reservation. It all started when no one seemed to remember the reservation. We were asked several times how many people there were in total. And we had to wait about 30 minutes until, upon request (!!), a drinks menu was delivered and the platter was served. It was said that there was a staff shortage and the team was short staffed. I completely understand that. But I have no understanding for the unfriendly and stroppy nature of the service staff and the fact that they don't deliver what you pay for. Many of the dishes that were on the breakfast plate according to the menu do not exist, were not served or were only served upon explicit request. Börek was already sold out at 11:30 a.m. with a brunch that lasted until 2 p.m. After repeated requests, this was given and lo and behold, all the other tables continued to get Börek. Mysterious. Some repeat orders never found their way to our table. The last reorder, which consisted of spreads, said we had to wait an hour. It's so full. Well, at that point the restaurant was only a third full. By the way, the food only arrived and no one apologized. The restaurant advertises a price of 38.90 for 2 people and 17.90 for each additional person. But they charged us 38.90 x 2 + 17.90. When asked whether 17.90 wouldn't apply from the third person onwards, the pat answer was also introduced with "Madame". All in one can't be surpassed in terms of audacity. But if you have too much money left over and don't know what to do with it, you can go there.

I was there for iftar, and the "iftar menu" (€31.50) was absolutely terrible. Instead of a meze as a starter, I was served breakfast at 6 p.m. (dates, jam, butter, olives, and honey). The main course with meat was an Adana with frozen vegetable sour cream instead of cacik and onion with sumac, and the grilled pepper was just the top half with all the seeds. They also served tea and baklava, but after the disappointment, I couldn't enjoy it at all! All in all, I'll never go there again!

Then we waited again for us to get the menu cards, then waited again for the food, then a disgusting old tea was brought to us and the dessert we ordered didn't come either. We ordered Adana kebab as the main course and it came with a salad. The portions were large and satisfying, but it was a little cold. We drank three glasses of raki. We paid a total of 124.50 Euros.

Today I went to the Antik Restaurant with my partner for the first time because we wanted to try out the brunch menu. The location is very pretty and nicely designed. The brunch dishes were ok, but nothing special. I found it a shame that the sucuk with egg was very watery and cold. The dessert buffet was sold out very quickly and it took a long time until the dessert was filled again. The staff is friendly, but not particularly attentive. Unfortunately there was no service at the table or the question of whether you needed anything else or whether everything was okay. It would also be great if the toilets were checked and cleaned more often.

Four of us had dinner on Saturday evening. Starter came, was delicious, but then… waited 1.5 hours for the main course. We didn't want it anymore because we were just full by now. Then they said it would come now. Then it was another 15 minutes. What was surprising was that the food wasn't hot. So you could think it was prepared and had been standing for a while. The taste was good. But if you were really hungry, the portions would be significantly too small. And that brings us to the 2 stars that we deduct. Definitely one for the waiting time, it was far too long. There was a baklava on the house, yes... it was just a shame because you just didn't want to eat anymore. That evening it was very crowded, live music, too many guests, not enough staff. They then justified it by saying that there was a lot going on. The other star that has to go is definitely due to the price-performance ratio. Unfortunately it's not true at all. Wines €8-9 per glass. The main courses all around €20. Vegetarian from around €15. Half an eggplant filled with vegetables in tomato sauce with some rice for €15.50. Manageable grill plate for €23.50. But the heaviest part was the appetizer platter for 4 people at €48. I expected much more for it. There were various salads and pastes like cacik and hummus on it. 4 each of vine leaves and Cigara Börek. In any case, the calculation is very questionable. In total we spent 180€ with 4 people. All in all, a very long evening with good food at a relatively high price.

Ended up in this restaurant by chance. The ambience seems authentic. The menu offers a lot of choice, the food was very tasty and well prepared. The service staff is nice. Only two points of criticism: Unfortunately, everything took a relatively long time, even though it wasn't particularly crowded. In my opinion, the water is too expensive at €6.90.

Now I would like to give a review so that it might be taken seriously and changed. We are extremely disappointed even though we enjoyed eating here so much. What's going on here? As far as I know, the owner has changed too. The staff is very unprofessional, food and even drinks are mixed up. Nobody knows what and where to do. The food was terrible, the starter (which was really the highlight here) was no longer good, as if it had been made two days ago and left. The meat smelled endlessly! You can even tell that the old cook is probably no longer there. We loved celebrating birthdays here but sorry, under these circumstances I don't invite friends and acquaintances here. Not that anything else will happen, it's a real shame... we loved being here so much.

Unfortunately service is very slow. 30 minutes until you get the card. For the price you can get better LB. It's a shame the service ruins a lot.

The food tastes very tasty, the service is very nice and very friendly. Ambience great!! At the end we had dessert, which was also very tasty. I have been visiting the restaurant for 10 years and it is really highly recommended.

Unfortunately the price-performance ratio has become worse. Portions too small for the price. Service not available. It's a shame, because Turkish restaurants are rare in Ludwigsburg.

We had ordered brunch for 19 people with a champagne reception and a table for the gifts. There was practically nothing prepared, we helped set up the tables, the seating was far too tight. When we asked about a champagne reception etc. and had a conversation with a little man who barely knew German, 8 glasses of orange juice came up. There would be no champagne. At some point a nice lady came along and somehow managed the whole thing. Food was good, staff can barely speak German, so a lot goes wrong. I wouldn't do my birthday with so many people there again.
