Antica Roma Restaurant in Berlin

Found this place by accident as everything else nearby was closed for the holidays. We were pleasantly surprised! Excellent service and very generous portions!

A very pleasant atmosphere. Very friendly staff. We felt completely at ease. The pizza was also quite delicious!

Carbonara presents itself with quiet authority, each strand of pasta impeccably coated in a silken harmony of egg and cheese. The pancetta contributes a measured note of salt and smoke, while the pepper offers a restrained yet confident flourish. It is a dish of balance, dignity, and excellent breeding. Tiramisu follows with effortless elegance—light, indulgent, and unapologetically refined. Layers of mascarpone and espresso-soaked sponge unite beneath a veil of cocoa, delivering comfort with aristocratic charm. One finishes the dessert convinced, quite rightly, that the evening has been a triumph.

They have Italian food even better than in Italy itself, and the owner and waiters are very attentive. You absolutely must visit if you're in Berlin! 👍🏼👍🏼🌟

The pizza – well, the price was too high for the quality, but that's probably due to the location in Witti (diagonally opposite KaDeWe, apparently, that's only possible with a price increase?). The ambiance was okay, the service was great, very friendly and fast.

We went for brunch on Sunday and were really impressed. There was a wide selection of vegetarian and meat dishes, the service was friendly, and the buffet was constantly replenished. For two people and four drinks, we paid about 48 euros, which is perfectly reasonable.

Lunchtime harassment – ​​a daily occurrence here. We often came here for lunch – the lunch specials were reasonably priced for the area. However, the employee who mainly works behind the counter, in my opinion, made it his mission to create the most unpleasant atmosphere possible by making disgusting come-ons and suggestive comments. After a conversation with the manager, this behavior did indeed stop. Unfortunately, only for a few weeks. At the beginning of this week, the same employee felt the need to grope my jacket, which was hanging over my chair. He did so with his head barely 5 cm from my lap. He approached from behind without warning, so I didn't notice. Even when I visibly scooted away from him, he still didn't think it necessary to increase the distance between us. He then said something about a "tripping hazard." This tripping hazard was apparently neither seen nor realized by his colleagues, who walked past our table several times. I simply want to eat in peace without being harassed in such a disgusting way by someone who could be my father. Addendum following the owner's comment: This employee is among those providing service. Service that includes harassment is bad service. The owners were aware of what he had done previously. They haven't changed anything. They continue to employ this person. This is certainly not a distancing. Such a distancing statement looks good under a review, but by continuing to employ and thus supporting the harassment of customers, it effectively means: we know it's wrong, but we don't care if a customer is repeatedly harassed. And now I'm not supposed to publish this? Talking didn't help. By the way, I also contacted the supposed junior manager on Monday. Therefore, it is wrong that I did not address it with the owners/managers. Especially since this behavior had previously been tolerated without consequences.

Lovely atmosphere and excellent food. Wait staff was very friendly and playful. Very good Italian food and fairly priced.

We popped in after an evening of shopping and really enjoyed dining here! No expectations…just wanted some Italian food. It was great! Our servers were really nice and the food was delicious and flavorful. Thank you for one last amazing meal before flying home. :)

We were there last night. The food and service were actually quite good. But there were some very unpleasant people there. They were talking very loudly on their phones while the restaurant was open. They checked everything that left the kitchen. And at the end, because they were so out of control, they took a picture of the cash register. Sales photos? Creepy. It made us feel very uncomfortable.

The freshness of the products, the taste of the dishes and the fantastic service are what makes us happy and keep us coming back for more :)

I was looking for Italian in Germany and ran into Antica Roma. It was an amazing experience. The focaccia was amazing along with their salad. Then we had steak as well along with burrata. I topped it off with Limoncello. Great ambience. If you don’t smoke then you have to sit inside otherwise you won’t enjoy the experience.

So good, we ate there twice! Went one evening for dinner with a group of around 20 people. The service was exceptional - we were blown away by how they handled such a big order. The food came out quickly, and all the meals were brought to the table within just a few minutes of each other. Our group tried a variety of pizza, pasta, and steak - all received high marks! We liked the meal so much that the two of us retuned the next night for pizza after a long day of walking around the city.

Very bad, cheeting with payment. Tourist trap. 1. tomato salad, share. 1. pizza to share. 1/2 bottle of Wine of the house. Bottle of water. 60 euro. And we had to pay 10% service, not possible to waiver it on the terminal !!!. Food was very ordinary. Nothing speciel. 12 appostle is much better, though they have lower score then this tourist trap.

Perfect combination for a good lunch. However, the price is prohibitive for a bottle of water...a shame! I highly recommend this establishment.

Worst service ever!! You have to beg for service. We were told that the food was going to take 40 minutes and it did. The pasta was completely bland, it did not have any flavor. None of the staff came back to our table after the food was served. We waited for another hour (while having a nice conversation with friends) and nothing. We decided to walk out to the entrance to pay in cash because we could not wait anymore. The lady in charge did not care. This is not a 4.5 star place.

I ordered the tagliatelle with fresh truffle and chanterelles, which was pleasant. However, the cola was served warm, and the coffee latte had the simple taste of a basic machine brew.

This was our third time eating here, and unfortunately, this will be our last. Even though it wasn't busy, the service was very slow. We waited a long time for the food; the second beer only arrived after we complained—it was also forgotten. The pizza was good, but three slices of salami on the pizza—no comment—and they also forgot to bring an extra Gorgonzola. Then the food arrived, but they forgot the cutlery. When we asked to pay, no one came for 10 minutes. Only after I made an effort to pay was it quickly resolved. You don't really feel welcome here as a guest—a real shame.

I don't understand the good reviews for this place. We arrived, sat on the terrace, and noticed that just a few feet away there was a whole ice cream cooler full of bees. One of them fell into my Aperol, and I asked the waitress to please refill my glass of Aperol. She didn't apologize or anything; in fact, she gave me a dirty look as if she were forgiving me. She brought me back the glass, I think with the same ice as the previous glass. The skewer was average, and the pizza parmigiana was subpar. The eggplant and cheese were of poor quality.

What a wonderful dining experience at Antica Roma! The service was truly excellent from start to finish. We started with a selection of different appetizers, and they were all incredibly flavorful and well-prepared. For dinner, our table ordered a variety of pasta and pizzas. Everything was delicious and satisfying, but the carbonara really stood out—it was exceptionally good. The outdoor seating area provided a beautiful atmosphere for our meal. Highly recommend this restaurant; we left with no complaints at all.

Italian Restaurants that serve Caesar salad with chili-sweet Thai sauce!!! They haven’t mentioned in the menu. Seriously Was terrible. 😣So pricy for this unknown dish! I would not recommend

I am not satisfied, as we have ordered Cesar Salad and the chicken brests were covered with sweet chili thai sauce. I believe for Italian retaurant and also for 16 euros salad it was not good at all. They push you also to pay cash, which I didnt like it as well. The drinks were nice, one virgine hugo and an Orange juice. I think in the area, there are plenty of better options.

We were a group of 11 people and decided to stop for a spontaneous coffee. The waiter welcomed us with a very warm and friendly welcome. Tables were quickly arranged for our group, so we were seated right away. The cheerful and witty service made our visit a pleasant and entertaining afternoon coffee. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return!

Pleasant terrace. Attentive service. The prices are reasonable. Nearby, if you're craving pasta or pizza, why not? But it's not far enough to cross town.

Pizzas were terrible, dough was so hard we could not cut through it and pizzas were also flavourless. They asked us if we liked it, we said no and they did not care, just left and moved to another customer (who left the whole pizza untouched) . 🤦🏼‍♀️ Never again!

Our last day in Berlin and it started to rain. We ducked into this restaurant to dry off. And to my great surprise they serve my favorite Italian Proseco. We had the minestrone soup, made with fresh vegeta bles, a Margherita pizza. We were stuffed with flavorful food. And it still hadn't stopped raining so had another glass if Proseco. A great evening! The waiters here are wonderful. Nice Italians in Berlin. What a treasure!

Pasta dish and another glass of wine. A bit stressed waiter who misunderstood that I ordered a glass of cold milk for my son and instead brought a glass of hot mint tea 😅 No problem changing to the desired drink though. Lots of wasps around the tables and a child at the table next to us got stung so we chose to move into the restaurant instead. After that we were forgotten and I had to ask to pay several times before the bill finally came. The waiter sighed when I picked up the card and I offered to pay in cash instead whereupon he almost hung up on me when I picked up the bills and then he disappeared with the idea that I tipped very generously 😬. My first stay in Germany and I learned that you pay the bill and what you want to tip right away. Totally ok if you have understood the unwritten rules 😅

I ASKED FOR A CREME BRULEE AND I RECEIVED ROTTEN EGG TASTING LIQUIDY DISGUSTING THING . THEY ALSO CHARGED EXTRA IN TOP OF THE TIP , DO NO EAT HERE

I'm not one to speak ill of a restaurant when the flavors aren't bad; it was fine. But from a financial standpoint, it's expensive. Considering pasta dishes for around €20, a Margherita pizza for €12.50, and a 750ml of still water for €6.50, it's not worth it. Since the most basic dishes were already around those prices, we ordered spaghetti Bolognese, a Caesar pizza, and a bottle of water (the menu photos are outdated). We paid €39.50, one dish per person and a drink for €20 each... It was overpriced, but the taste was okay. They also wanted to charge me cash, preferably, but they wouldn't give me the receipt; I had to ask for it after paying.

We were amazed at the price of water. 6.50 euros for a 750 ml bottle. It's outrageous. The light in the store is out, you go blind, then you go outside and your eyes hurt when you see the sunlight.

The business is owned by a polite Turk. They took great care of us, the waiters were friendly, the location was very central, and the prices were good. We ate delicious Italian food and were delighted that such a beautiful place was owned by a Turk.

I was there for the first time , oh my god the foods were disgusting🤮 and staffs are so rude. The way they serve me was so disrespectful. Also the prices were bit expensive compared to other Italian restaurants. Never visit again 🙏

Near our hotel, it has a few outdoor tables and a really pleasant atmosphere. We went early for dinner and chose safe dishes—a four-cheese pizza and a chicken salad. Even though it was busy, the Italian waiter was friendly and attentive. Food quality was good, and I recommend it.

I thought long and hard about whether to write this review, but I'll just do it now. I've never eaten such a bad pizza in my entire life. The price is €15.70 for a pizza that's not even 30cm in diameter. You'd expect better... the eggplant wasn't cooked through at all, it was still raw. Paying €3 for a tiny glass of pineapple juice that comes from a Tetra? Everything is overpriced and terrible... Please don't go there. You'd really regret it. I really advise you not to go. The quality just doesn't match the overpriced prices there. Better get a doner kebab or falafel pie, which tastes much better. It's not even that far from there :)

I've never liked that place. It looks a bit too fancy. Yesterday, I couldn't get a pizza anywhere else. So I went in there out of necessity. I almost fell over! €16 for a very simple salami pizza. The toppings were terrible, and the extremely bad and salty salami was sparsely spread. After 20 minutes, the thing was so hard that it was only good enough for the trash. NEVER AGAIN will I set foot there. That was the worst pizza of my life! I'd rather have "Pizza Luna" or "Calla Pizza"!! They're much tastier and, above all, more affordable!

The food is very, very good. Unfortunately, if the team isn't properly put together, the service is less effective. Like today, on Sunday evening. It can't work if only one person takes orders and cashes in a full house. Someone who mostly just chats up people needs to do more work. On other days, it was really great.

We ate at Antica Roma several times during our stay in Berlin. We were particularly impressed by the attentive service. The value for money was excellent. The pizza, lasagna, salad, and chicken were all very tasty and reasonably priced. The draft beer was also excellent. During our visits to Antica Roma, we sat outside on the newer chairs. However, there are also some older chairs that didn't look quite as comfortable.

I ordered a pizza to avoid to wait at the restaurant, but I still had to wait 22 minutes to get it. Kinda disrespectful. But the pizza was delicious so I definitely recommend it.
