Rustic but very good Italian restaurant

We went to this restaurant with our company after the IAA. We had amazing starters, followed by a very tasty main course. For dessert, we shared tiramisu and panna cotta, which were among the best I've ever had, as they make them in-house. I was stunned by how reasonable their prices were. That’s not very common in Munich, as everything is overpriced. The atmosphere was very cozy and familiar. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We were there on a Thursday evening and luckily had a table reservation, as all the other tables were occupied. The clientele is diverse, and we heard a few Italian voices, which speaks even more in favor of the Cantina. The service was warm and prompt. The white wine by the glass was very good, as was the food. We had the lasagna, the tagliatelle with chanterelle mushrooms from the daily special, and a crème brûlée—all excellent. The atmosphere was very cozy and informal. We will definitely be back!

This was our first time at the restaurant. The food was delicious, but unfortunately, the prices/dishes on the website don't match the prices/dishes on the premises. (This isn't the to-go menu.) This should be updated, as it's more expensive in-store. I actually wanted a completely different dish, but unfortunately, I couldn't find it on the on-site menu. The bread for the appetizer/with the pasta dishes was very hard and inedible.

The staff is simply great, everything went great even with our large group of 21 people. Drinks and food came very quickly and the tuna carpaccio from the daily menu was to die for.

We had a birthday party with 20 guests and ordered catering from Antica Cantina. We would have bought far too much food if the boss hadn't given us such good advice. Starters, pizzas and then great Italian desserts. The pizzas are not only great in terms of taste, but also huge and at a really extremely fair take-away price. All guests were full and happy. In any case, this restaurant has gained some regular guests. Great service, thank you to the team.

The food is ok, but the service is very unfriendly. We had the feeling that they were very annoyed that we came. If someone works in service, you can be friendlier For the prices they can at least smile once. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We (2 people) sat down in the beer garden. The waiter arrived and we were asked if we had a reservation. No, we didn't... It was spontaneous. He first had to check whether the table for 2 people was still free.... The whole beer garden was free.... It didn't change much in the 1.5 hours.... A total of 7 people came.. .. There were still 15 tables free.... The food was OK..... I had pasta with beef fillet tips.... 15.50 euros.... I had a cold tomato on top of the meal, and whole 2 pieces of meat in my food... Outrageous. The taste was OK, not outstanding... It's a shame when you act so pretentious and then it's not that great... I don't recommend this place.

The day menu was not even shown to me or pointed out to me. Pinsa made from yeast dough is a pizza Baking burata is not a good idea The table outside was an imposition, no space to eat with a knife and fork. There were many other tables free. After I only ate half of it, I was simply asked if I wanted the rest packed. As if this fake Pinsa would get better as it cooled down. I was obviously unhappy and even after I didn't tip, I wasn't asked why. (or said goodbye in some other way that fits the frosty greeting) In other words, they don't care. I was there for the third and last time. And honestly, I think they're happy about it.

I read another review, and it said "cozy". I agree. Although there is a fair amount of seating, especially outdoors, it has a cozy feel. The servers are very personable. It carries an Italian ambiance. The food was extremely good for the price. The prices have barely changed with inflation. We had pasta dishes with meat or truffles for around 17-18 Euro. We had main courses for just over 20. Pizza is also very fairly priced.

One of my favorites in Trudering for 10 years. Price-performance was always unbeatable. Now the prices have increased significantly but are still “normal” compared to comparable restaurants. The overall package is just right! The open wine, for example, is not cheap crap and is still completely overpriced, but rather appropriate and delicious. I'll be back soon and hope this great standard of friendliness and atmosphere is maintained, THANK YOU!

I am very pleased that dissatisfied guests of the Antica Cantina (never thought such people could ever exist) vow never again to bother this excellent Italian restaurant with their presence. Good this way! This means that I can continue to eat and drink very well in this restaurant, which I really appreciate, without any interference from such complainers, and at the same time enjoy the excellent service (thanks, Antonietta!). And that even though I can't count myself among the SUV-driving Waldtruderinger Chicki-Micki Schnöseln. But I come from the village (Anzing) and drive there in my 19 year old Volvo. By the way, at the end of January 2024 we celebrated my 75th birthday in the Antica Cantina. Everything was well organized, the service was perfect. The food was highly praised by all 13 guests, as was the wine. And the bill for the entertainment was more than fair. Thank you, Claudio! (I don't even have to think about switching to Tantris or anywhere else...)

Antica Cantina war früher ein sehr gutes Lokal, das wir oft besuchten. Leider hat die Qualität der Speisen enorm nachgelassen. Die Pizza Tonno wird mit übermäßig viel Öl serviert und riecht unangenehm. Sowohl die Pizza Margherita als auch die Lasagne schmecken, als kämen sie aus der Tiefkühltruhe. Wir hoffen, dass die Qualität wieder das Niveau erreicht, das sie einst hatte.

Einfach einer der Top Italiener in München!

Das Essen ist jedenfalls wesentlich besser als die Einrichtung. Hier müsste mal dringend neuer Wind in den Laden. Beim Service könnte man auch noch nachbessern - teils geht lustlosigkeit in unfreundlichkeit über.
