I'm a long-time customer at Antep Doydoy, and I'm very surprised when I read such negative reviews. I was there for breakfast today, and as always, it was excellent. The food, especially everything freshly prepared (fried vegetables and the bread are top-notch!) The atmosphere is very pleasant. And a huge thank you to Deniz, who has been serving there for years, and I don't even have to say I want tea! As soon as my glass is empty, my tea arrives; just eye contact is enough :) Well, Doydoy is currently experiencing a staff shortage, but it's also very difficult to find good staff. But that's no reason for me to give a negative review!!! Thanks to the entire team, especially Deniz, Nejdet, and Yusuf Abi

We went for dinner two weeks ago with five people on a Saturday at 7 p.m. The table was reserved, but there was still room. We sat inside. I ordered the appetizer platter for us. Great selection with a very tasty thin, homemade flatbread. Thank goodness it was thin. They also serve alcohol, which they didn't use to (I like that). Everyone thought the main course was delicious; you can tell everything was freshly grilled, even the tomatoes, peppers, and mushrooms. I had the grill platter and had to pass some to my son. Anyone who complains about prices should buy their kebab with any meat at the chip shop. Here, you pay a fair price for good food. The oven sets you apart, and the visit is like traveling to another country.

I was there today and I was really disappointed. I waited 30 minutes and was only spoken to after asking. I ordered a tea that never arrived, and they didn't even serve cutlery for my meal (again, only after asking). When I paid, I waited another 20 minutes before I had to ask for someone to come. In the end, I paid €50 and only received my change after asking. This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had.

The waiters' lack of seriousness and attitude is the most important factor affecting the customer portfolio, but it's not even 0 in this regard, it's in minus. Also, they charge 17 euros per person, but it doesn't include any fried foods. Am I going to pay 17 euros for two olives and cheese? Even a box of eggs costs 3 euros. We came 80 km for this place, but it's definitely not worth it. I definitely do not recommend it.

Very delicious food. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere cozy, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The grilled dishes were delicious; the freshly baked baklava with ice cream was my highlight.

We visited today after years because I had fond memories of the restaurant. The initial shock didn't take long to set in when we saw the dirty tables outside, which didn't seem to bother any of the waiters. As we looked around helplessly, someone actually came with a rag. After a quarter of an hour, we dared to ask for the menu; before that, we had been completely ignored by four waiters. We then ordered food and drinks straight away. After all, there were 10-12 customers in the place, so it can take a while... But it was no use, and after wasting half an hour of our time, we moved on. In the end, we were glad to have left safely, because when the tables look like that, you don't want to see the kitchen. We will never again set foot in this place with its listless and unfriendly staff.

The food there is always top-notch! The ambiance has good ideas that are poorly executed. (The tablecloths under the tabletops are more reminiscent of an alpaca blanket) Nevertheless, the food is so delicious that you can overlook such things ;) These days, the service and prices are simply no longer justified. It used to be different, and we won't tolerate it anymore. Even the delicious food doesn't make up for it.

We had Adana wraps, meatballs, and döner kebab. All three of us loved it. We ordered takeout, and we were lucky to find such a delicious and clean place nearby. Thank you.

My wife and I stopped by DOY DOY in Langenfeld for a quick bite to eat today. Overall, the visit was okay, but with mixed impressions. The outdoor area with its terrace deserves special mention – plenty of seating and pleasant for guests. The interior, however, wasn't particularly convincing: The furnishings are mostly made of Euro pallets with cushions, which seems rather improvised. The ceiling, made of OSB panels, and the counter also give the impression that the interior work isn't yet complete. The meat counter looks appealing, but the advertised wood grill was actually a gas grill – we found that a bit disappointing. The meat tasted okay, but nothing special – a bit dry and rather plain. However, for €8, the price was fair, especially these days when you often only get frozen food. The tripe soup (meat soup) I had, on the other hand, was really very good – strong in flavor and highly recommended. I think the owner was there himself and even took the cash – very friendly and open to feedback. I also told him right away that the soup was great, but the meat was a bit dry. We didn't have time to use the restrooms, so I can't comment on that. There's a small additional seating area in the back. All in all, a solid restaurant with potential – for us, it was a nice stopover, but not a place we'd make a long drive for. Thus, 3 stars overall – a fair rating.

We ate there yesterday for my birthday. An absolute disaster. The service was a disaster. Communication was completely nonsensical due to the language barrier. Some of the staff also seemed disinterested. The drinks arrived quickly, and the main courses we ordered arrived before some of us even had our starters. Then came a dish we hadn't even ordered. The drinks were definitely overpriced, but the food itself was delicious, except for the fried potatoes drenched in oil, which were soggy, and the fish, which was cut incorrectly and was dry, with bones scattered throughout the meat, making for a truly unpleasant dining experience. The salad that came with the fish came without any dressing. While we were eating, no staff member came to ask if we needed anything. Sad. I have to say, this was my last visit. The value for money was absolutely not right.

I come from the Netherlands for business purposes and was eating here. There are dozens of staff in the kitchen and one person on the left. I think it would be more successful if it was self-service. I agree with the negative comments about the waiters in most of the comments. Waiters are the marketers of the restaurant. = 0 I have been coming to this place for 3 years, recently I noticed the lack of seriousness and staff changes. If the owner of a place is not on top of his business, that place cannot progress!!!

The waiters are totally ignorant and badly organized. Today the rice and bulgur on my plate was from yesterday and not even properly warm. The grilled aubergines were simply replaced with aubergine paste, which is not what is served with the Ali Nazik Kebab for €23. They didn't have all the drinks and the tea was an outrage. They cut corners on everything, this will be our last time in this shop. I'd rather go to a kebab shop and get friendlier service at a reasonable price. This shop shouldn't call itself a restaurant; any kebab shop is better. A real disappointment. And parking spaces are like winning the lottery.

The appetizer platter consisted of several simple and unappealing portions of cream cheese. Far too expensive for that. It's a shame, it could be better. And unfortunately, it confirms the other negative reviews.

Unfortunately, the food was not at all convincing. The lentil soup was watery, the meat on the doner kebab plate was lukewarm and therefore had an unpleasant, greasy aftertaste. The "salad" we were served looked like pre-packaged discount salad and tasted just like it. I specifically asked for meze, which you get for free at many kebab shops. Instead of a clear answer, they simply charged us, even though I had specifically asked if they even offered it. In the end, we paid 95 euros for three people. It was completely overpriced for what we got. The service was also disappointing and unattentive. We were here a few years ago to break our fast, and back then everything was completely different. It was friendly, delicious, and harmonious. Today, unfortunately, the complete opposite. We won't be coming back and would rather eat somewhere else.

I used to eat here often when the place was still good, but now it's a total disaster. The service is terrible, the food sometimes arrives cold, and the soup was anything but fresh. Add to that a cheap plastic water bottle that's sold at an exorbitant price and cheap glasses. I wouldn't recommend the place anymore.

I've been here several times now, but unfortunately, my impression has worsened with each visit. What struck me as particularly negative: Some guests (especially Germans) are served meze and flatbread – we haven't received this on our last four visits, even though we had it before. There seems to be a discrepancy in the way guests are treated. The service also leaves a lot to be desired: We had to ask for our çay three times, but in the end, only one came – and I didn't get any at all. My partner had the mixed grill, but could barely eat it because the meat was completely tasteless. The waiters generally seem very listless and not very service-oriented. Unfortunately, you won't find any friendliness here. This was definitely our last visit.

One star is already too many. We chose this restaurant and ordered by phone. 1st call: they didn't want to or couldn't understand us. For telephone service/order taking, they should have the person with the poorest German skills answer the phone. In the end, the order was somehow communicated. 2nd call: after about 1.5 hours, I called to ask how our order was coming. The answer was: "You ordered?? What was it?" We repeated everything... "Your order is on its way!" Note: We were at the pub around the corner. 3rd call: after another 60 minutes, they canceled the order. The answer was quite funny: "You ordered?? When?" ;-) Guys, you need different staff. All in all, I can't comment on the food.

I also noticed on my third visit that the waiters could be friendlier to the guests. They're sleepy and don't really listen to your requests. Unfortunately, the food doesn't taste good and the portions aren't commensurate with the price. It's a real shame for such a nice restaurant.

This evening we had a catastrophe at all the tables with leftover food outside on the terrace. Service bad. Wanted fries for Karisik izgara didn't come. We wanted to drink tea four times before eating and that didn't happen either. All the employees next to our table were talking loudly and laughing. Karisik Izgara so the meat itself was delicious. But service and ambience zero. No star at all. We won't come again.

I didn't think the food was that great.

Unfortunately the service here is getting worse and worse. A few weeks ago I ordered 3 lamb chops for my main course. One chop would cost a few euros, they made me another main course and charged me almost €20 for it. When I asked, it seemed like a misunderstanding, a correction was apparently not possible. On Friday evening I ordered another plate of spicy and tzatziki, a large plate with small drops of sauce was brought, I was charged the whole thing for €15, I looked again at the menu, it actually costs a whopping €12. When I asked why the bill was so high it was the same as usual, I couldn't have it returned. This has been happening again and again for a few months, once one of my main restaurants, but now I prefer to go to Cologne.

I was here spontaneously with a friend. Everything was fine. The service was very attentive. I love Turkish cuisine anyway.

Likewise, the amount of lavash offered near Adana is very small. Our master who manages the stone oven produces beautiful products. I was very disappointed on my last visit. No matter which grill restaurant you go to, you will always receive a free small spicy yoghurt appetizer. It was like that here too. I asked my friend not to forget the appetizer, and he received an appetizer larger than normal. So, first came a large portion of the usual red and white appetizer. I was surprised but didn't pay much attention. I thought the portions could perhaps have been enlarged. When I checked the receipt on my way out, I saw that 7€ was charged for the appetizer and I was surprised. When I asked my friends, they said that appetizers are no longer served in advance. The problem is not actually 7€, but the system that is wrong. I'm having difficulty understanding.

You have to get such a bad kebab right. The meat was like silicone, you would think you were chewing a tire. No idea what they did there, but you can't offer something like that to customers. Please no emergency kebab next time. When it's off, it's over. Meat zero bad of the worst kind.

The food was very tasty, BUT when we came in, everyone else, including those who came after us, were served first, even though we had also made a reservation, then asked three times if we could order and only after 50 minutes were we allowed to order food and drinks, all the other waiters took the order and never came forward again or said that they would be coming soon. After that, no one came by to order more drinks or dessert; when we packed leftovers, half of the leftover dish wasn't packed. So with a lot of patience you can go, otherwise you'd better go somewhere else for a delicious Turkish meal!

We recently went to the restaurant with a large group. In Turkish restaurants there is usually a cold starter (meze) before the main course. To our surprise, there was only pide and salad (many dishes come with salad as a side dish). One of our group wanted to eat a kebab plate, but it wasn't available (why do you have that on your menu?) When the food was served, one dish was missing. We had to wait forever for this to be served! One of our group had ordered dessert, but we also had to wait a long time for that. The waiters were quite rude and not very friendly. When we wanted to pay (separately) the counter question came: "why"? It's new to me that you have to justify your payment method! The food was okay but I can't recommend this place.

Food as always very good. But the service doesn't deserve the name. Wait, wait and wait with the store almost empty. Grim faces with “zero enthusiasm”. Drinks all placed on the corner of the table instead of giving everyone their drink. If you want “I don’t care, you have to ask a colleague”. Missing dishes were only served after everyone else had already finished. The five of us have now decided that we will no longer support this desert of service and would rather go eat somewhere else. The rating refers to delivery: This used to be significantly better. On the last 3 orders the food arrived lukewarm. The taste is ok, but first put it in the microwave - which completely spoils the taste of anything with salad in it. After the last price increase, fries are called “Patates Kizartma” and cost 6 euros. Even the always very nice drivers don't save anything. Too bad.

We always enjoy going to the Antep DoyDoy Charcoal Restaurant and also order from time to time. The food is always delicious, fresh and very tasteful - the charcoal dishes are particularly enjoyable! The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting, and the service is always friendly and courteous. Whether on site or to take away, it's always an all-round great experience. Highly recommended!

Voll unfreundlich, der Empfang war schon nicht vernünftig obwohl ein Tisch reserviert war. Ambiente und so war okay aber das lange schwarze Haar im Essen meiner Frau hat uns dann alles versaut. Ich habe es angesprochen aber danach wurden wir völlig ignoriert. Es sollte nicht passieren aber es kann mal passieren, aber wenigstens eine Entschuldigung hätte drin sein können. Fazit: Schade, aber nochmal dahin, bestimmt nicht.

The food was delicious, although the rice wasn't really warm. Ambience is also nice. Then the positive ends too. The service seemed very stressed and disorganized. They ran haphazardly and hectically. They made an unfriendly and disinterested impression. They were also very taciturn and did not know polite phrases such as please, thank you, good afternoon and goodbye. In between, no one asked whether everything was okay or whether there was anything else that could be done. First I waited in the entrance area for at least 10 minutes until someone spoke to me and assigned me a seat. At the place itself I waited for a good 10 minutes without being noticed. There were still dirty dishes on the table from the guests in front of them. The table was not cleaned after it was cleared. After I got the starter, the drink I ordered didn't come. Nobody came to ask if everything was okay. Only when the main course came was I able to ask where my drink would be. Only then was it taken care of. When I wanted to order dessert and Turkish mocha, they thought I wanted to pay. After a long wait I got dessert. The wrong coffee was brought to me. When I complained about this, the coffee was taken back but no replacement was brought. I had a table right at the counter. Dessert and other food sat on the counter for minutes and were not brought to the tables. The service gives me the impression that it is not interested in the customer and does not want to make any sales. And in my opinion, guests you know personally are given more attention and treated differently than others.

Wow, one of the best restaurants I have visited in Germany. Because of my work I have to commute often and I have eaten Turkish food in many cities and it was excellent here.

Really bad service. The waiter was extremely unfriendly and had the ability to overlook and ignore us. I can't say what the other waiters are like, but our waiter might need to change careers. The tables are made of pallets and still have leftover food from who knows when. Not a good idea either. Yes, the food was too salty, I could have done better. Basically, unfortunately I don't have anything positive to report.

Four of us had dinner at Antep DoyDoy yesterday and overall it was okay. The starters and salad were well portioned and tasty. However, the main courses came far too quickly one after the other, so we didn't have enough time to enjoy the starters in peace. I found it positive that card payment was possible. However, the service could be much more attentive. Unfortunately the tea we were given had spilled and both the cup and the saucer were full of tea. Unfortunately, the baklava didn't impress us either, it was very soft and completely soaked in sugar syrup. Overall, a mixed experience for the price.
