The reviews were good so I trusted it and visited. I ordered the first menu from the Pho and rice menu with BBQ. The chicken on top of the fried rice tasted similar to the delicious chicken I ate in Korea, and the rice was also very delicious. Pho was the best I ate in Germany and tasted similar to what I ate in Korea. I plan to visit again!

Unfortunately, it is no longer the old Anh Ba. I don't know how to make fresh coriander taste like raw meat, but it's been done here. The side salad was brown on the edges and dried out. Nothing went together with the vegan starters and the main course. When I improvise something at home from fridge leftovers, it tastes more thoughtful than the main rice dish here. The dip for the main course was fermented (but not in the delicious, healthy way). Why does it smell like toilet spray everywhere in the restaurant? Unfortunately, our window seat inside was very cold.

I love being at Papa Tran. It's always a feast for the senses. No matter which dish I choose, it always tastes delicious. The food and drink menu is varied. There is definitely something for everyone. I come here to eat very often because I've developed a taste for it and I'm very happy with the service.

Papa Tran is for everyone who wants to break up the same old monotony of the neighboring Italian restaurant with a little treat. The dishes are cooked to perfection, very well balanced and inexpensive, while the service impresses with its loving manner, speed and presence. Was completely empty, so we doubted if we should come in. But we gave it a try and it was good! The waiter was pure kindness, food was average price and tasty. They only need to add a banner and make it a biiit more cosy inside. Anyway, would recommend to visit!

Today was the first time, but definitely not the last time, at Papa Tran. The restaurant is very cozy and modernly furnished. The service is very friendly and the food came to the table quickly. And most importantly: the food is beautifully prepared and tastes fantastic. I had the tacos as a starter and a beef noodle soup as my main course.

The food was mediocre, below the average for Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin. They only accept cash, and when I requested the menu in English, the waiter could have at least warned me, or they could have simply placed a sign at the entrance. To make matters worse, the waiter took my iPhone and refused to return it until I brought cash. I’m now filing a report with the police for unlawful detention of property and extortion. Answer to reply: While I understand your staff’s concerns, taking someone’s personal property is not only unacceptable but also illegal in Germany, regardless of previous customer experiences. This situation could have been handled far more professionally, and your response only deepens my concerns by attempting to justify illegal actions with weak explanations. I hope you take this feedback, as well as the police report, seriously.

Since I eat gluten-free, I find some delicious options in this regard too. Papa Tran stands out from other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Definitely try it out!

We ordered starters (kimchi and soup) and the noodle dishes. Everything was very tasty and in good quantity, we even asked for the rest to take away. The wine is good which is not the case in all restaurants. The service is welcoming and warm.

A very warm restaurant in a nice, quiet side street. For every traditional dish there is usually a vegan version for those who need it. Super tasty salads and generally everything is on point. I come here about once a month and always 10/10

We come at least once a month and leave every single time smiling and with a full stomach. The employees are great and have so far responded to all requests and extras. The prices are absolutely great for the taste and quality and the always great service.

Yesterday I had dinner at Papa Tran. I used to eat at Anh Ba regularly. Now there is a new menu, but unfortunately also smaller portions. The portion was very manageable, just some udon noodles and hardly any vegetables and seitan. The taste wasn't great either. The vegan dishes are too expensive for what they offer. The price-performance ratio is not right. It seems as if the plant-based dishes that are sold at high prices are subsidizing the actually expensive meat dishes, which are therefore offered at a lower price. For me a no-go and a reason not to come here again. I think it's a shame that things have changed so much.

I ordered through Wolt and unfortunately the driver delivered the wrong food. I called Papa Tran and I was helped immediately, given great advice and received my subsequent delivery in no time. Had grilled pork with root vegetables and rice, with shitake quiche. The quiche was very small and didn't taste like shitake, the meat was tough neck steak, no root vegetables, small portion of rice. I could have done better myself. Sauce was delicious. Service very friendly.

The best curry I've had in a long time. Everything was prepared with great care. The vegetables were accurately cut and served at the perfect size. Incredibly delicious and absolutely fair in price! Finally something special that I could try. As an omnivore, I decided on only vegetarian/vegan versions, which are in no way inferior to the meat/fish version. The employee also told us really interesting things about the restaurant and the food. Incredibly pleasant atmosphere! Plus point: if you sit at the window, you will be presented with a catwalk for dogs, because many dog ​​owners walk there to the park.

Despite a communication error that resulted in us receiving the wrong food, the service was still very nice and replaced the food straight away. The atmosphere was still great, which is not a given. It won't be our last visit to this great restaurant :)

I always order online and even the packaging is really practical , today I ordered to go directly at the place and the atmosphere was also nice and welcoming . Kind staff and the food is delicious. I always order the ente with curry . The only “bad thing” is that to go they didn’t provide any cuttlerie or sticks . So I had to improvise something . Will come back definitely 💯
