Today was the first time, but definitely not the last time, at Papa Tran. The restaurant is very cozy and modernly furnished. The service is very friendly and the food came to the table quickly. And most importantly: the food is beautifully prepared and tastes fantastic. I had the tacos as a starter and a beef noodle soup as my main course.

The food was mediocre, below the average for Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin. They only accept cash, and when I requested the menu in English, the waiter could have at least warned me, or they could have simply placed a sign at the entrance. To make matters worse, the waiter took my iPhone and refused to return it until I brought cash. I’m now filing a report with the police for unlawful detention of property and extortion. Answer to reply: While I understand your staff’s concerns, taking someone’s personal property is not only unacceptable but also illegal in Germany, regardless of previous customer experiences. This situation could have been handled far more professionally, and your response only deepens my concerns by attempting to justify illegal actions with weak explanations. I hope you take this feedback, as well as the police report, seriously.

The food was simply delicious! The flavors were fresh and authentic. The pho and spring rolls were particularly a highlight. The staff was friendly and made recommendations. I live in the neighborhood and have been enjoying coming to eat for some time. The quality of the food is delicious, authentic and you will always receive a friendly welcome. Since I eat gluten-free, I find some delicious options in this regard too. Papa Tran stands out from other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Definitely try it out!

We ordered starters (kimchi and soup) and the noodle dishes. Everything was very tasty and in good quantity, we even asked for the rest to take away. The wine is good which is not the case in all restaurants. The service is welcoming and warm.

A very warm restaurant in a nice, quiet side street. For every traditional dish there is usually a vegan version for those who need it. Super tasty salads and generally everything is on point. I come here about once a month and always 10/10

Yesterday I had dinner at Papa Tran. I used to eat at Anh Ba regularly. Now there is a new menu, but unfortunately also smaller portions. The portion was very manageable, just some udon noodles and hardly any vegetables and seitan. The taste wasn't great either. The vegan dishes are too expensive for what they offer. The price-performance ratio is not right. It seems as if the plant-based dishes that are sold at high prices are subsidizing the actually expensive meat dishes, which are therefore offered at a lower price. For me a no-go and a reason not to come here again. I think it's a shame that things have changed so much.

I ordered through Wolt and unfortunately the driver delivered the wrong food. I called Papa Tran and I was helped immediately, given great advice and received my subsequent delivery in no time. Had grilled pork with root vegetables and rice, with shitake quiche. The quiche was very small and didn't taste like shitake, the meat was tough neck steak, no root vegetables, small portion of rice. I could have done better myself. Sauce was delicious. Service very friendly.

The best curry I've had in a long time. Everything was prepared with great care. The vegetables were accurately cut and served at the perfect size. Incredibly delicious and absolutely fair in price! Finally something special that I could try. As an omnivore, I decided on only vegetarian/vegan versions, which are in no way inferior to the meat/fish version. The employee also told us really interesting things about the restaurant and the food. Incredibly pleasant atmosphere! Plus point: if you sit at the window, you will be presented with a catwalk for dogs, because many dog ​​owners walk there to the park.

We went to Papa Tran's for the first time yesterday and were very satisfied. The food was very fresh and tasted absolutely delicious. The dumplings and the salmon in particular are highly recommended. The freshly made cold iced teas are also very refreshing and not too sweet. The waitress was Papa Tran’s son. He was very personable, always had a smile on his face and gave us great advice. Despite a communication error that resulted in us receiving the wrong food, the service was still very nice and replaced the food straight away. The atmosphere was still great, which is not a given. It won't be our last visit to this great restaurant :)

Eating out at this place is a very special experience. The owner is a sight in itself - a family atmosphere and a touch of Vietnam that hovers over everything. Very tasty food, home cooking. Definitely coming back with the family! :) Valerie

I always order online and even the packaging is really practical , today I ordered to go directly at the place and the atmosphere was also nice and welcoming . Kind staff and the food is delicious. I always order the ente with curry . The only “bad thing” is that to go they didn’t provide any cuttlerie or sticks . So I had to improvise something . Will come back definitely 💯

Dumplings in all variations are high end. In general, the entire meal could also be served in an absolutely chic restaurant. Then it would cost twice as much. The price-performance ratio is right for us. It is perfect and very professionally prepared. Since the young boss is alone, there is a very small star deduction for the speed of service. But the friendliness makes up for it. Also good wine selection! Long drinks are also offered at the bar. And there is a to go option.

Wir waren schon oft vor Ort, haben heute bestellt und waren mal wieder so begeistert! Von den Vorspeisen (Kokosmilchsuppe und vegane Reispapierrollen) bis zu den Hauptgängen (sehr leckerer Eierreis mit gegrilltem Hühnchen und vegane Reisbandnudelsuppe) ein totaler Gaumenschmaus! Unsere kleine Tochter ist regelrecht über den Eierreis hergefallen. Ganz super, danke :)

Es ist gemütlich, eher traditionell schlicht. Ich mag es und viele andere auch. Es ist stets gut besucht. Leider ist es rein gar nicht geeignet wenn man Nussallergiker ist. Sehr sehr schade. Mit Mühe habe ich dann doch etwas gefunden, wo die Nüsse weggelassen werden konnten(nicht ganz) ich habe das Essen ohne Zwischenfall überstanden. Dennoch kann ich es durchaus weiter empfehlen.

Sehr lecker und authentisch. Die Karte hat ausgewogen vegane, sowie Gerichte mit Fleisch. Die Karte besteht meist aus vietnamesischen Finger Foods, mit ein paar Hauptgerichten. Auf jeden Fall nicht die üblichen Dinge, die es so bei vielen asiatischen Restaurants gibt, sondern viele interessante neue Gerichte. Ich hatte den grünen Mangosalat und es war der Hammer! Es ist mein neues Lieblingsrestaurant :)

Wow! Ich war schon lange nicht mehr so positiv von den Socken wie hier! Das Anh Ba überzeugt mit absolut ausgefallen und einzigartigen Gerichten, einer riesigen veganen Auswahl und super hochwertigen Zutaten. Ihr habt noch nie einen Bananenblütensalat, crunchy Lotuswurzel oder Kräuterseitling-Röllchen mit Dip gegessen? Dann kommt hier her. Ich bin mir sicher, auch ihr werdet Fans, besonders, wenn ihr gerne vegan esst oder einfach mal was neues probieren wollt. Die Drinks waren ebenso gut und Bedienung, sowie Amiente rundeten die 5*-Erfahrung ab. Klare Weiterempfehlung!

We live near Anh Ba and eat there frequently, or get take out. It's quite a different menu to many of the Vietnamese spots in Berlin - it feels authentic and unique, plus is affordable. There's a really extensive vegan menu that we always order from - and the food is really good - it's a staple where we take visiting guests to. I really like the spring rolls, the Pho, the home made seitan, the turmeric broth noodle soup. The staff are really friendly too :)
