Great food and good shakes. Service was very friendly

We went without a reservation. We were greeted warmly. Roast duck was on the menu. One with curry and one with hoisin sauce. Both tasted fantastic. Unfortunately, we hadn't mentioned that we don't like coriander leaves. But since that was our mistake, we're not deducting any points. After picking out the chopped leaves, it tasted great. The value for money was amazing. Highly recommended.

First of all: no card payments. Let's be honest... that's not up to date anymore. Unfortunately, in Germany, however, it's still commonplace, despite tax cuts for restaurants. The food was okay, but as is often the case: German cuisine is served in Germany, even at Asian restaurants: chicken broth, which tasted good, with homemade wontons, which were really good, along with Chinese cabbage and carrots. I would have preferred some authentic ingredients in the soup. The tea with fresh peppermint and ginger was good! The appetizer was steamed dumplings with hoi sin sauce, which didn't go well with it at all. Both were probably ready-made products. The service was super friendly!!! The prices were super reasonable for the quality and quantity.

We discovered An Nam last year, and after our very positive experience last year, we decided to visit again during our visit to Leipzig this year. The three of us shared two appetizers: steamed dumplings with shrimp filling and wontons. This was followed by main courses with chicken or duck. Perfectly seasoned, vegetables with a perfect bite, and served with rice or noodles. The food and service were top-notch. The atmosphere was very pleasant and authentic. The homemade limeade is highly recommended as a drink. We would love to return to An Nam on our next visit.

Dear An Nam team, we have enjoyed coming to you for years and have always been satisfied. However, there were a few things wrong with our last visit. A full quarter of the ordered dishes and drinks did not arrive as ordered. One beer too many here, the wrong lemonade there, a different tea there, and a main course that no one had ordered but was still served to us several times (!). Furthermore, the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. The noodles in the bun were a solid lump that was barely edible with chopsticks. The meat in the pho was tough and fatty. The appetizer had also lost a lot of its charm compared to our last visit. Given the extremely low prices, it's no wonder they have to cut back on ingredients. I don't know if we'll come back, but I urge you to raise your prices by 50% or more, but please ensure the food is decent and the service is good. Otherwise, your best days will probably be over and the good reviews, which previously included mine, will no longer be justified.

I've been to An Nam in Leipzig for lunch a few times - mostly with colleagues, and I have to say: we really enjoy going there! The lunch menu definitely has something to offer. Sure, the prices are a bit higher (around 10 euros for a main course), but that's the case almost everywhere these days anyway. But you also get something decent on your plate: portions are more than sufficient, and the food simply tastes really good - beautifully fresh, made with love (at least that's how it tastes). And the vegetarian offering is OK too. Sure, it's not for a quick snack, but if you want a leisurely lunch break with good conversation (and good food!), then An Nam is a really great place. And the service has always been friendly and quick. It definitely won't be the last time!

It's been one of my regular restaurants in Leipzig for years. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has deteriorated and the service can also be improved. And there is some problem in the sanitary area (there is a very unpleasant smell that extends into the restaurant, even though the toilets seem clean)

2nd time to Leipzig and 2nd time to this fab little restaurant. Can’t be beaten for flavour, value or friendly smiles from the serving team. Note, cash only.

Discovered today while strolling through town. We took a tour of the city and discovered this restaurant. It was busy at lunchtime and we still found space. The service was attentive and the order came to the table quickly. It was delicious.

We were guests in this restaurant yesterday. We reserved the table in advance, which was certainly a good idea because the restaurant was quickly filling up. The service was very friendly and attentive. The dishes we ordered were well prepared, very tasty and very reasonably priced. The only drawback is the lack of card payment options. We were definitely not in this restaurant for the last time.

Great value for money. They have 5 specials for less than €10. One of their specials is the Crispy Duck in Orange & Coconut Sauce served with Rice and Salad. It is delicious. A sweet curry. You can ask if they add chilis to make it spicy-sweet. They only accept cash. The nearest ATM is a 5-min walk away.

We had an evening event at the arena and stopped in for dinner beforehand. Welcome was very friendly. Ambience rustic and cozy. The food was extremely good!!! Best pho with beef I've eaten so far. Prices are more than fair. Unfortunately there is no draft beer but only bottled beer and unfortunately you cannot pay with a card but only in cash. We would definitely come back!!! We came across this restaurant by chance in Leipzig and found everything to be very good and really tasty. The pros: Fast services Big portion Unusual offer in all directions, whether vegan, vegetarian or with meat And friendly staff. The Cons: To be honest, I found the restaurant a bit too dark. Everything else was great.

Nice and affordable place in the center of Leipzig. Vietnamese cuisine with a wide range of dishes. I took item 33 from the menu. It was delicious, although I expected a larger portion. I really liked the sauce and the combination of ingredients. The space inside is spacious, with many free seats. They only accept cash, which should be taken into account when ordering.

For me the best, authentic Vietnamese food in Leipzig. I have been going to An Nam for many years and am always impressed by the great restaurant. Everything is just right. Definitely worth a visit. 100% recommendation.

I ordered fried glass noodles with tofu strips, soybean sprouts, carrots and chives. It was delicious. Unfortunately the portion was too small for me. That's why I ordered fried flat rice noodles with ginger, various vegetables, coriander, onions, garlic and sesame seeds. This tasted very good. The service was nice. The food was prepared very quickly.

Well, I didnt expect that the fish will be fried instead of baked (as it was mentioned in menu). Plus the fish was rather dry and looked like prepared few hours ago. Half of the vegetables was just onion. Cant reccomend this place, unfortunately.

I went to An Nam for the first time today based on a recommendation. I was impressed by the selection and quality of the fresh fruit shakes as well as the high quality and very tasty starters and main courses. The price is more than reasonable and, in my opinion, relatively cheap.

The two of us had a very nice evening here. Unfortunately we didn't read that only cash payment was possible, so my husband had to go and get cash. The food tasted really good. The waiters always gave a short information that it would take a moment and that you would be there soon. We thought that was great. The prices here are very low, I was very surprised that you can still eat so well in Leipzig for so little money. Clear recommendation (with cash in your pocket ;))

As tourists in Leipzig, the four of us ate there twice within three days. On the first visit everything was very, very tasty, we were all so satisfied that we went there again. The food was bad! Sticky, inedible starter that we had to pay for despite returning it. The main courses were bland! Unaccommodating staff, we had the impression that they didn't want to understand us. Has the entire staff changed in the days? It will not turn out that another visit there is an option.

Zuerst mal etwas positives, die Kellner sind freundlich, das Essen kommt zügig, die Karte übersichtlich und für jeden was dabei. Aber… Ich habe das einfachste Essen bestellt (gebratene Nudeln mit Hühnchen und Gemüse) und dieses war stark gesalzen und sah aus wie YumYum Nudeln und hat auch so geschmeckt, nur viel zu salzig. Die ‚Frühlingsrollen’ welche ich bestellte waren viel zu fettig, dass Öl tropfte nur beim anheben heraus, außerdem und das kann ein Fehler von mir gewesen sein, werden die Frühlingsrollen mit Garnelen gefüllt und mit (ich glaube) Glasnudeln ummantelt- ich fand es sehr komisch und kannte es so nicht. Dann habe ich den Apfel- Minze Drink dazu bestellt (90 auf der Karte) und dieser hat nur nach Minze, eher gesagt nach Zahnpasta, geschmeckt (meine Freundin war auch der Meinung). Was das eigentliche Problem daran war, war dass ich dem Kellner gesagt habe, dass dieser mir nicht schmeckt und er wieder mitnehmen kann, dies tat er und wenige Minuten später brachte er das Getränk in einer ToGoPackung wieder. (Da war eindeutig eine sprachliche Barriere) Ja ansonsten meiner Freundin hat ihr Essen geschmeckt, dennoch würde ich den Laden nicht weiterempfehlen und würde jedem raten, ein anderes Lokal zu besuchen, denn das Preis Leistungsverhältnis passt für mich nicht. Achso und man kann nur Bar bezahlen.

The food is cheap but doesn't taste good at all. Worst experience in Leipzig. The worst experience in ANY Asian Restaurant in Leipzig that I had. We ordered chicken noodle, and two appetizers. Both were very blunt, and obviously were made from ready-made noodles. Plus, the workers were extremely rude. Our server didn’t speak ANY English, and his German was BARELY understandable. Never coming back.

Unfortunately the food is of poor quality. It's nicely dressed and served in a strongly flavored sauce to distract from the ingredients. Even 2 pieces of fresh, crunchy peppers don't help much. What a shame! But given the low prices, we should have been suspicious straight away.

Actually a good Asian shop on Gottschedstrasse, the food is usually tasty, but the service last time was below all dignity. There were several waiters in the room, but most of them were sitting at the guest tables, very engrossed in their smartphones. We had to wait and search repeatedly for service. The waiters who didn't serve our table catch your eye and look at their smartphone again instead of asking or at least letting their colleague know. Once they gathered in the kitchen and came out talking and laughing so loudly that you immediately ask yourself, do they even pay attention to guests? Do you need any? They seem to be completely occupied with their own things. Another nice thing: when the waiter took our order, the phone rang. The waiter left the table in the middle of my sentence to pick up the phone, I had to repeat my order when he returned. I was with a child and we were hungry, otherwise I would have left the store straight away. I doubt I'll come again. It's a shame, the price-performance ratio was actually OK here, but I'd rather pay a few euros more at Maison Viet nearby and have attentive service in return.

What was that? Strange cooking, as if the chef had a day off. And this pre-baked duck breast could already be recognized by its dry gray and black. In such a situation! And then next door several Vietnam. Competitors. Anyone who gives this 5 stars has - with all due respect - no idea.
