The service (owner?) was very rude and unfriendly, as has already been criticized in various other reviews. Apparently only those who have nothing to complain about are welcome. Had a turkey breast fillet which was very dry and tough, it didn't taste good. I politely pointed this out, but no understanding was shown; instead, the guest discussed in an unprofessional and arrogant way that turkey was always bone dry and sinewy, that was normal. Then I just have to use chicken. But the two times I've had the dish here before, it was fine. I also expect fillet to be tender. Well, you shouldn't expect Greek hospitality here. The tzatziki and the fries were okay though.

We have been regular guests of this small restaurant for a long time. The operators: in are warm! Staff and service great! Lots of parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. Always well attended. Therefore, be sure to reserve in advance. Food/price/performance great! Plenty on the plates.

We got a table without a reservation. 😊 It's a very busy restaurant and not without reason! The staff is super friendly and very attentive. I've never eaten Greek so well. 😋 They were very good portions for the price. They are also all very child-friendly. I would always go back to tranquil Walsrode just because of the food. ☺️

Actually 5 stars are not enough. The food was ready very quickly, it was very good and the service was very friendly and also open to having fun at the neighboring table, children's ice cream for an adult! I think so much flexibility is great. The price-performance ratio was good. A great restaurant.

Small but fine Greek restaurant. All the dishes are very tasty and plentiful, the service is always friendly. It also deserves five stars in terms of price. You get a lot (good quality food) for a relatively small thaler. For me personally it is the best restaurant in Walsrode. A visit there is almost as nice as a (short) vacation in Greece. 😀

Unfortunately we cannot understand the positive reviews. Either the culinary horizons in Walsrode are not that high, or we had a bad day? One point for the ambience. One for the friendly service. But the food. Phew. The gyros were wobbly, the cream sauce with the mushrooms tasted straight out of the bag, the tzatziki also felt like it came straight out of a bucket - very yoghurt-like and not creamy at all. The whole thing was topped off with the Lidl own-brand “Magnum” for dessert in the children’s meal. Seriously? If it's bought in - then why not nicely prepared scoops of ice cream? Thanks anyway for the second free ice cream for our younger son.

We got food and it was really, really, really tasty and we were full and completely happy. Everyone was super nice too, I felt very comfortable.

We have eaten here several times and each time it was delicious. Nice service, short waiting times and everything at an affordable price! Absolutely recommended!!!!

We discovered the restaurant online. First of all, we were greeted warmly and were given a place even without a reservation. When we ordered our drinks we immediately received an ouzu, which tasted very tasty. For starters we had tzatziki and fried pepperoni with garlic and olive oil. A mixed plate and gyros for the main course. The food was a dream and the portions were very sufficient. You should be hungry. And finally there was Ouzu again We can only recommend the restaurant.

An easily accessible restaurant with a nice atmosphere, located on a play street (and most drivers stick to walking speed). We sat inside and were looked after by very friendly and accommodating people. The plates were well filled so no one had to leave the table hungry. We'd love to come back.

Luckily we found this wonderful restaurant while passing through. The food was delicious and the service was also very nice and accommodating. If we didn't live over 500 km away then this restaurant would be our favorite and we would come here more often. Thank you!

Good waiters, food so-so, but good for Germany

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner here after a day at the bird park! Melty, fresh tzatziki with crispy garlic bread, tender lamb fillet with delicious Greek salad and spicy rice, fast and very attentive service, and cozy interior. We were very excited and would like to come more often, unfortunately the distance from Heidelberg is very long. Next time you visit, always awwa widdder doo 😊

All in all a good Greek restaurant, but the toilets would benefit from an upgrade 🤗

I was there for lunch with a colleague in mid-July 2024, after a long time. The selection is very good. The lunch menu is also great. I had bifteki and I have to say it was super tasty (especially the spicy tomato sauce over the bifteki). The service (boss) was also very nice and friendly. You can feel the Greek hospitality there. Can fully recommend the restaurant.

After a visit to the bird park, we spontaneously stopped here for dinner. Nice selection of meat dishes, but at first glance you can't find anything for vegetarians. But it's worth taking a look at the starters, because there are delicious vegetarian dishes that go well with a salad. The gyros dish with herbs/garlic was also very rich and tasty. Absolutely recommended for the price, we had a pleasant place outside on the quiet play street. There was a nice, appealing ambience inside, which we only saw briefly. I had to write the review directly at the table because I was able to enjoy an extremely delicious meal with excellent service! The only drawback was the lack of tzatziki, which I could have ordered. Of course I was also very impressed with Bavarian beer 😉 The area itself is very quiet and the few cars are not a nuisance. All in all, an ideal visit with more than sufficient portions. In terms of taste, it is highly recommended and the degree of doneness was also optimal.

Have food tel. Ordered at a fixed time, food was ready and still hot at home (8 minute drive) It was tasty and plentiful, the price/performance ratio is still right here. Gladly again at any time.

We were passing through and had a spontaneous dinner here after visiting the Walsrode Bird Park and what can I say? It was wonderful. The food was very tasty with all components. We were really lucky to get a seat for two in the fully occupied restaurant on a Saturday evening without a reservation. The service was incredibly courteous and polite - very pleasant! The food was very tasty ! Even I, who doesn't eat meat, was well served with my warm appetizer platter + fries! I would like to highlight the skordalia, a kind of spicy, slightly sour mashed potato that I have never found on offer in any other restaurant. We would love to come here to eat again.

Went out looking for food on Christmas day. This was the first and perhaps the only place open in the small village of Walsrode. Luckily the food was of good quality, the portion was plentiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wir sind seit Jahren Gäste im Ammos und freuen uns immer sehr auf das Essen. Besonders das Giros ist Superklasse. Das Personal ist flott und freundlich. Auch ohne Reservierung wird sich bemüht eine Platz zu finden. Uns gefällt es dort sehr auch ohne Gratis-Ouso und Gratis-Wein. Wir bestellen und bezahlen gerne was wir haben möchten. Weiter so!

Wie immer sehr Lecker.Ich hatte Suflaki (2 Schweinefleischspieße Nr.81) mit Pommes ,Reis und Salat. Hab diesmal ohne Pommes genommen es ist immer reichlich auf dem Teller und das wäre dann etwas zu viel.Die Bedienung wie immer sehr freundlich und nett.

Ein ganz toller, unkomplizierter und zuvorkommender Service. Sehr leckeres Essen: Fleisch, Fisch und Salat immer frisch und geschmackvoll zubereitet. Und die Gambas erst🙈😋… Können wir als Familie - mit erwachsenen Kindern - einfach uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.

Wir gehen schon seit vielen Jahren dort zum Essen hin. Oder bestellen auch was für zu Hause.Die Wartezeiten sind kurz. Das Essen super lecker. Es ist dort immer wieder schön. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl.Die Mitarbeiter sind höflich und freundlich und haben immer ein lächeln im Gesicht. Kinder sind auch gern gesehen.Wir empfehlen immer gerne unseren lieblings Griechen.

Sehr gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen. Sowohl die Fleischesser als auch die Vegetarier unserer Gruppe waren sehr zufrieden. Das Ambiente ist sehr nett, da alles in tadellosem Zustand. Wir waren auf einer Bootstour und hatten von einem Einheimischen den Tipp bekommen, dieses griechische Lokal zu besuchen, da er bisher immer zufrieden war. Und da hat er recht, so ist es.

Die Portionen sind reichlich, die Extra-Portion Tzatziki ist gross und nicht übertrieben teuer. Uns hat es gut gefallen und ein Geburtstagspräsent gab es zur Feier des Tages obendrauf. Leckeres Essen. Nette Bedienung.

Wir wurden sehr schnell und höflich bedient. Essen kam innerhalb von 10 Minuten und war köstlich und auch relativ günstig im Verhältnis zur Qualität. Das Ambiente war auch schön, mit vielen fotografischen Eindrücken aus Griechenland:-)

Wir hatten telefonisch einen Tisch für 2 Personen reserviert. Auf Nachfrage ob Hunde erlaubt seien wurde es bejaht, sofern sie nicht zu groß sind und artig unter dem Tisch Platz nehmen. Uns wurde ein schöner Tisch am Rand zugewiesen wo wir und die Vierbeiner schön viel Platz hatten, das fanden wir prima. Zur Begrüßung gab es gleich einen Ouzo auf's Haus. Das Essen war ganz hervorragend und die Bedienung(en) sehr aufmerksam. Die Preise waren überraschend preiswert für die großen&leckeren Portionen. Wenn wir in der Nähe sein sollten, werden wir ganz sicher wiederkommen! Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend und macht genauso weiter.

In einer verkehrsberuhigten Zone, mitten in der Innenstadt gelegen. Man kann auch toll draußen sitzen und große Schirme sorgen für Sonnen- oder Regenschutz! Der Service ist einfach genial und sehr zuvorkommend. Die Rinderleber mit gerösteten Zwiebeln und Äpfeln war ausgezeichnet. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut angemessen. Danke an das tolle Team!
