Amistad - tapas y vino in München

The two of us came here for dinner and were absolutely thrilled. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely, the service was super friendly and quick, but most importantly, the food was incredibly delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Super cozy bar with a great atmosphere and absolutely friendly and personable staff! The food came quickly and tasted very tasty. The service was great and we even got churros after the kitchen closed. At a later hour the owner also joined the guests and amused them with his good mood. It was a very nice evening for us. Good tapas, good drinks, and very attentive service!

Great ambiance, attentive service. Food wise: Solomillo, great quality meat, delicious sauce. Artichoke, boiled, sprinkled with sea salt and parsley on top - amazing. Tortillas: disaster, overcooked, burnt, too much sauce, completely falling apart. Maybe I'm spoiled by great tortillas but this one was a real let down. Croquetas with ham - don't. Overly spiced, with both cumin and tomato sauce. (It should only be either or) I can see what they're trying to do but it didn't go anywhere. Padron peppers, standard. Octopus salad, too much olive, I wouldn't. Anchovies: nothing special. Good wine list.

Excellent tapas and good service. The restaurant has very close seating, which I personally don't find suitable for a higher-priced restaurant. A little more space and intimacy would be great.

We had dinner here for my wife's birthday. The atmosphere inside was very nice and cozy. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and skilled. The food was absolutely amazing and we enjoyed every item we ordered. The dishes were big enough to share but so good you wanted more! Our favourites were the Manchego mit Quittengelee, Croquetas a la casa, and Gambas al ajillo. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner and will be returning again soon!

The benches could be a little more comfortable, if necessary provide a few cushions...

The food was good and so were the drinks. However, a waiter with a certain attitude was problematic. My companion comes from China, when he ordered the drinks he said they had all fruit juices, just not the “weird shit” like lychee juice (we only asked about the selection and had no special requests). When my companion ordered a simple orange juice, there was a disparaging sigh. I found this to be very unprofessional and racist. However, for the rest of the evening the waiter was friendly again. It was just strange and made me feel uneasy, despite the nice restaurant atmosphere.

I recently visited Amistad restaurant that truly impressed me. The atmosphere was incredible with a warm and inviting vibe. The rhythm of the meal service was just perfect allowing us to savor each dish without feeling rushed. The staff were kind and attentive always ready to help with a smile. Most importantly the fresh and tasty ingredients made every bite a delight showcasing the best quality food.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience here with more than unfriendly staff (management?) who, in my opinion, treated the guests very unprofessionally and sometimes arrogantly. Although the food is good and the restaurant is attractively designed, the personal interaction with guests ruins the experience. Calling guests stupid, as seen here on Maps, unfortunately further emphasizes this. I absolutely cannot recommend a visit.

Absolute failure. When making an online reservation, the restaurant advertises that you should simply let us know if you want to stay seated for longer than 2 hours - original sound: “we make it possible”. As a welcome, we were asked to leave promptly at 8 p.m. That's how you like to be greeted. When we asked if it wouldn't work out that we could stay longer, the answers were stupid. After we ordered a last drink at 7:30 p.m. and it still wasn't there at 7:45 p.m., we pointed out to the waiter that we had to leave at 8 p.m. and that wouldn't work if the service didn't work. The owner then came and kicked us out. Something like this has never happened to us before and it is outrageous. You can see how the supposed management treats the customers - see their response to a recession where the customer is called stupid. We will not recommend anyone to eat here.

It's a shame to be thrown out by the owner just because you would like to extend the 2 hour reservation, which is exactly what is advertised via email. It's a shame, but that's not possible. Unfriendly and anything but professional.

A very nice location in the middle of Munich. Very nice and attentive team. We haven't found such a great selection of tapas even in Spain 🥳 Definitely worth a visit and we're sure we'll come back. Reservation via Google was super easy and makes the visit even easier. The U6 is only a 10-minute walk away. In my opinion the area is very safe and quiet, we never felt uncomfortable.

The service is great, the food is good - but the price is already high. The atmosphere is nice, but there are far too many tables. Our place was completely full, it was practically impossible to move and it was incredibly loud, making conversation at the table simply impossible.

Great wine bar, with very good tapas that we shared! Highly recommend this place. We ordered 3 tapas / person an were very happy with the portion sizes!

We were served very friendly and attentively. The dishes all tasted good, the fried calamari could have been fried a little longer, but unfortunately they weren't completely cooked. I find the prices to be much too high in relation to the very small portions (2 mini ham croquettes = €8!). Our bill (2 people) was €60 (6 tapas, 1 beer and tap water flat rate), so to be full we would have had to spend at least double that. Overall, I'm used to better food and different portions from Spain. Don't think we'll go there again (at least not hungry)!

Tapas were a bit small and took a very long time. But the service was very nice and so was the evening.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the quality of the food, which was absolutely overpriced. We ordered the prawns, where you get 4 mini prawns for 10.50 euros. Spent almost 30 euros per person and were still hungry. Wouldn't come back to eat here again.

Wayyyy to small portions for the amount of money you pay. Seems cheaply made and left us hungry in the end. Very disappointed by the food. Service was nice however. Would only consider coming back if the food was either of better quality or bigger portions.

Very nice waiters. Good atmosphere. Noisy like any Spanish tapas bar. The food leaves a lot to be desired. Low quality and very small quantities. As an example, 8 euros for 2 small-sized croquettes and nothing special. As for the rest of the dishes, any resemblance to Spanish tapas is purely coincidental. We returned the padrón peppers because they had a layer of salt that looked more like a glaze. The people at the next table sent back the beef tartare (I don't know what region of Spain they think this is from) because it was too spicy. The rest of the dishes are equally poor in terms of flavor and quantities. I will not come back.

Ich mochte Amistad bisher sehr, aber diesmal war das Essen etwas enttäuschend. Spinat war versalzen und es war Sand drin.. (Bedienung darauf: Oh, soll ich ein Glas Wasser bringen?) Die Artischocken waren säuerlich, als ob der Gärungsprozess schon im Gange wäre. Insgesamt hat man das Gefühl, dass vieles geschmacklich nachlässt. Schade ist es auch, dass man sich in dem Restaurant nicht wirklich willkommen fühlt. An der Tür begegnet man einem immer mit einer gewissen Arroganz.

Cool restaurant with very nice service. The dishes were all very tasty. Yes, the portions are small (tapas) and therefore relatively expensive. But we were full and spent about the same amount as in restaurants with "normal" dishes. So that fits. But you get a little more variety. As I said, everything was very tasty. The only thing that disappointed me was the sangria. It's nothing but juice with pulp and fruit. It has nothing to do with what you get in Spain and simply tasted like bland juice. A pity. If you don't order it, the store is otherwise really recommended.

This was our first time at Amistad. One thing first: the quality of the food and the taste were good! Everyone can decide for themselves whether the prices for tapas are reasonable. In my opinion they were exaggerated. What I disliked about the ambience: The tables were placed very close together, so that an intimate conversation is only possible in a whisper. Regarding service: From the restaurateurs' point of view, it may make sense to clear away dishes straight away; With tapas, which are served in many small bowls, it was a horror for us that the waitress came to the table 5 times (!) during the meal to gradually clear away something. I had the impression of a military exercise in which the aim was to 'guide' the guest through their food as quickly as possible. It should also be mentioned that the service was very friendly.

As always, the tapas were delicious and the service was perfect! The red wine tasted excellent. We are really looking forward to the next visit!

I feel they call it tapas to have the excuse to bring small but expensive portions, because if you ever had tapas you know that’s not tapas. If you order “gambas al ajillo” they bring literally 4 tiny gambas, I would honestly be ashamed to bring that out of the kitchen and charge 10€. We spent 40€ per person and left the place still hungry. I was very disappointed with the food, but if you go only for drinks it’s nice, the service is good and has a nice ambiance.

Overall very good, the champiñones and the albondigas (meatballs) are particularly recommended! The chorizo ​​was also very good. Don't let the small plates fool you because you'll get full relatively quickly.

A must if you’re in Munich! I’ve visited Amistad 3 times and it’s been great every time! The tapas are delicious, the ambience is everything you need, and the service attentive and friendly! One definitely gets value for the money spent and I’d always come back for more.
