Ich war das erste Mal im Jahre 2016 bei Amico und seither ist die Pizzeria ein beständiger Gedanke wenn ich an grandiose Pizza in Deutschland denke. Die Qualität ist auch 9,5 Jahre später eine solide 1+. Ohne viel Tamtam. Die Margerita ist ein wahres Gedicht - jede Zutat ist nahe der Perfektion. Der Sugo (zumeist die Meisterklasse auf einer Pizza) sensationell abgeschmeckt & gewürzt, Käse in perfektem Mass verteilt, die Grösse immens. Trotz vieler, mir empfohlener Pizzerien in Deutschland zwischen Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, München, Mannheim und Ludwigshafen sucht diese Pizza meiner Meinung nach vergeblich Konkurrenz. Zudem ist der Pizzaiolo (gleichzeitig der Chef) super sympathisch und der Laden eine wahre Augenweide. Kein Chi Chi, nicht fancy Interieur recht und links, einfach bodenständig und super sympathisch. Es schmeckt und man fühlt sich super wohl. Absolute Empfehlung und absolut eine Reise auf die Georg-Schwarz-Strasse wert 🎉

Wenn man den Eingang nicht findet einfach der Nase nach. Kleines uriges Lokal mit authentischer Atmosphäre und einem Pizzabäcker der sein Handwerk versteht. Große Auswahl an Pizzen,da wird garantiert jeder fündig. Parmaschinken wurde frisch geschnitten, allgemein waren alle Zutaten qualitativ hochwertig. Die Größe der Pizzen ist mehr als ausreichend wir waren am Ende froh das wir keinen Nachtisch mitgenommen haben obwohl das Tiramisu sehr verlockend ausgesehen hat, wäre kein Platz mehr dafür gewesen. Preislich im oberen Segment aber das war es definitiv auch wert. Wir kommen gern wieder und probieren uns durch die verlockende Pizzakarte.

Sehr leckere Pizza in einem Restaurant mit einzigartigem Ambiente. Während Sie auf Ihre Bestellung warten, können Sie in alten italienischen Comics blättern. Der Koch ist sehr freundlich; bei Fragen oder Sonderwünschen zu Ihrem Gericht brauchen Sie sich nur zu melden. Alles in allem ein wunderbares und genussvolles Erlebnis.

Der komplette Besuch bei Amico ist ein einzigartige Erfahrung, die seines gleichen sucht. Guten Service braucht man hier nicht erwarten, aber das passt absolut hier rein. Dafür bekommt man ein absolut liebevolles Ambiente, mit sehr viel Liebe fürs Detail. Die Liebe hört auch bei den Pizzen nicht auf. Diese sind absolut einzigartig und eine glatte 10/10. Dafür nimmt man dann auch sehr gerne in Kauf sich seine Getränke selber zu holen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ein absolut authentischer Handwerker, ein Künstler schafft hier allein in seiner Werkstatt, seinem Küchenartelier, superleckere Kunstwerke die ein Geschmacksfeuerwerk in dir entfachen. Unser Geheimtipp: Steinpilz mit Trüffelöl und etwas Gorgonzola extra, das ist einfach der Knaller. Das urige Lokal wirkt wie eine Reise ins ursprüngliche Italien, einfach toll. Zwei Tage Leipzig, zweimal Abendessen im Amico... mit bleibendem Eindruck.

Giuseppe ist ein Magier, das Ambiente und die Selektion der Zutaten sind nicht zu übertreffen. Pizza in Italien war super, die bei Amico der Wahnsinn.

Die beste Pizza die ich je gegessen habe. Was ich wirklich gut fand, das es alles von einer Person gemacht wird. Passte einfach alles, sehr cooles ambiente mega. Wenn ich wieder in Leipzig bin gehe ich dort wieder essen.

Wie erreicht man diesen Laden telefonisch? Die angegebene Nummer ist nach ca. 30 Anrufen in den letzten 2 Wochen nie erreichbar gewesen. Lohnen sich 30 weitere Versuche oder ist es am Ende doch nicht sooooo lecker? Bin dankbar für Hilfe 🌞 *3 Sterne weil ich ja noch gar nichts außer den mangelhaften Telefonservice bewerten kann…

Wenn man in die Pizzaria kommt, wirkt es wie "Little Italy". Die Pizzen sind unfassbar lecker, der Besitzer super lieb und kann es nur empfehlen (bisschen Zeit mitbringen). Auch zum Mitnehmen ist die Pizza super :) P.S.: Nur Barzahlung möglich (kleiner Nachteil)

Pizza 10 von 5, Ambiente 10 von 5 . Eines der besten Pizzen in Leipzig! Der Betreiber wirkt manchmal etwas gestresst bzw. "angespannt", ist aber eigentlich sehr nett. Ich bin immer wieder verwundert, wie er das alleine meistert ... Im Gesamtpaket mit dem Betreiber und Ambiente unschlagbar urig und authentisch. Ich bin stolz darauf, so eine Pizzeria in meiner Hood zu haben. Wenn es auch manchmal schwer ist einen Platz zu ergattern, es unbedingt trotzdem versuchen oder zum Mintnehmen! PS: Der Betreiber ist Alleinunterhalter, also sollte man seine deutsche Ungeduld gern mal zuhause lassen und einfach mal ein bisschen entschleunigen. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

It's impossible to reach this restaurant by phone. It even got to the point where my call was answered and the phone was simply left on hold for 5 minutes. Outrageous. Update: The food was outstanding. You can't get better pizza in Germany.

The ambiance is unbeatable, absolutely rustic like a museum in Italy. I ordered a 39cm pizza, but it arrived as large as a 40cm one. The taste was absolutely delicious (it had Serrano ham and Parmesan, etc.). The waiter arrived at my table faster than I could grab my drink from the self-service fridge. A truly fantastic Italian restaurant! Nothing pretentious, just quality over quantity. Even the phone seems to be an old-fashioned analog one. 💪🏻👍👍

Very original, unusual, rustic. Reservations are necessary; otherwise, you'll need a lot of luck. We waited, but it was worth it. The pizzas were delicious, and so was the dessert. The seating area isn't exactly cozy. But at least we got something to eat; the owner made it possible. I would go again, but I'd reserve a table beforehand, and then I'm sure we'd have a more comfortable seating experience. ☺️

We're in Leipzig for the weekend and decided to go out for dinner at 8 p.m. The reviews lured us to 'Amico,' and even though we didn't arrive until 9 p.m., we received a warm welcome. The food came quickly and was simply delicious. The service and atmosphere are simply fantastic! Next time we're in Leipzig, we'll definitely go back to Amico!

American visiting Leipzig, stumbled upon this place on a walk with a good friend. Walking in youre immediately greeted with a rustic Italian villa, and a man in all white working his pizza oven. You can wait to be seated or do take-away, I've done both. Waiting for a seat is worth it, but the place is small. You order by writing down what you want on the back of old receipts, 5 minutes later you get your pizza, pay with cash, and enjoy. The best pizza I had in both my trips across Europe, and who would have thought it was in the middle of Leipzig, Germany. I'm very glad I was able to enjoy this establishment with my friend we had a wonderful time, I'm back in Leipzig I will be returning.

We absolutely love the charm of the shop and the pizza! The only big problem: We can't reach anyone there – at any time. Since we live in a different part of town, we can't just drop in spontaneously. And when we've tried, everything's already booked. This is the best pizza in Leipzig - and it has been for years. Some may complain about the self-service nature of the restaurant, but the pizza is so good it more than makes up for any weakness in service.

Once every hundred reviews, I want to give it ten stars. This is the case here. It's small, cramped, and warm, and the chef has to worry about both the pizza and the guests. Still, I wouldn't change anything about our experience. Please keep it exactly the same... I have to come back... for the pizza and the atmosphere.

Reservation impossible, no one can be reached. When asked in the store, they said that everything was reserved and that they should call. There was no table left, even though the shop was still empty at 5 p.m. sharp. I've called literally a thousand times and no one answers. Made on the way for free. It's a real shame because I was really looking forward to a good pizza. Then we went to Pekar and got a seat there without any problems and ate some great pizza! That's why I recommend going here instead.

Best Pizza in Leipzig! I visited this place with my Italian friends, and they were also very pleased! The mushroom truffle oil pizza is amazing! It's almost impossible to book a table by phone since the restaurant is always busy and the owner run by himself. However, you can reserve a table in person if you visit. The pizza is Neapolitan, very large and topped with delicious, fresh ingredients. In addition, it is finished very quickly. You should definitely reserve a seat, which is what I did. The owner is peculiar but nice. He runs the store on his own, so compromises have to be made. If you don't want that, you've come to the wrong place. Drinks are self-service. Ambiance is an 11 out of 10. A unique experience and not so popular for nothing.

Best pizza outside of Italy but you have to expect unreliability and get involved in the experience. Every now and then the shop is closed and the door isn't open for how long. Without a reservation, you may be told "no room and the dough is gone" and 10 minutes later, when it's quieter, the next person will be told there's room. Still, the restaurant is worth it because the pizza is heavenly, as is the tiramisu.
