Während meiner Deutschlandreise kehrte ich in diesem Restaurant ein. Eine wunderbare Entdeckung: Gerichte voller authentischer Aromen, ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und eine Gourmetküche, die ich wärmstens empfehlen kann!

Bestes Restaurant in der näheren Umgebung. Kreatives, leckeres Essen, regelmäßige Wechsel der Karte und immer lecker.

Was für eine Entdeckung! Tolles kleines hübsches und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Restaurant. Eine Küche, punktuell auf Sterne Niveau und ein freundlicher kompetenter Service. Wir haben das Dreigang Menü gegessen und es war durchgängig hervorragend. Die weite Anfahrt (40km) hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Kleiner netter Außenbereich. Preise angemessen, Mittwochs und Donnerstags mit Groupon Gutschein sogar günstig.

Ich war zum 1. Mal hier und ich bin absolut begeistert. Das Essen ist exzellent - ein wahrer Genuss, ebenso wie der überaus sympathische und freundliche Service. Definitiv ein Ort für besondere Anlässe.

Tolles Restaurant- eine grosse Bereicherung für ganz Mönchengladbach. Hier wird auf einem sehr hohen Niveau gekocht zu außergewöhnliche guten Preise. Jedes Gericht (wir waren 7) war ein Geschmackserlebnis und der Service war professionell und authentische. Das wird unsere neues Stammrestaurant. DANKE

Wir waren zu viert zu Gast und haben uns vom ersten Moment gefühlt, als beträten wir das Wohnzimmer von sehr guten Freunden. Dann konnten wir ein mehrgängiges Essen voller kreativer Kochideen und exzellenter Handwerkskunst genießen, begleitet von den heiteren Mienen der drei Mitarbeiter*innen. Kulinarisch, aber auch in allen anderen Belangen ein absolutes Highlight. Und wenn, wie gesagt, häufiger die Speisekarte Neues biete, ist Wiederholung garantiert. Danke für diesen wunderbaren Abend!

Unser erster Besuch im Restaurant im Ammelsend war durchweg überzeugend. Trotzdem wir in selber in Rheydt leben ist uns dieser Schatzinsel bisher verborgen geblieben. Eine ruhige, persönliche Atmosphäre, die sofort trägt und den Rahmen für das Wesentliche setzt. Die Küche ist präzise, modern und geschmacklich sehr klar. Jeder Gang für sich stimmig, ohne Effekthascherei, dafür mit Tiefe und handwerklicher Qualität. Genau diese Zurückhaltung bei gleichzeitig hohem Anspruch macht den Unterschied. Der Service ist aufmerksam, professionell und angenehm unaufdringlich. Man fühlt sich wahrgenommen, ohne dass es inszeniert wirkt. Auch wenn die Lage nicht auf den ersten Blick offensichtlich ist, lohnt sich der Weg uneingeschränkt. Ein Ort mit Haltung, Qualität und Substanz in einer schwierigen Umgebung. Aber davon sollte man sich nicht abhalten lassen, den der kulinarische Level wird an vielen anderen Orten nicht ansatzweise erreicht. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und empfehlen das Restaurant aus voller Überzeugung weiter.

Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die superliebe Bedienung: aufmerksam, herzlich und immer mit einem Lächeln, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Hier stimmt einfach alles: Qualität, Atmosphäre und Service auf höchstem Niveau. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen

Last night we had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant in Ammelsend in Mönchengladbach-Reit for the first time – and it was an extraordinary experience from the very first moment. Upon entering, you immediately sense the special intimacy and welcoming atmosphere that pervades this establishment. You feel instantly at ease and perfectly at ease. The culinary experience was outstanding: exquisitely composed dishes, given a modern interpretation, full of sophistication and depth of flavor. Each course was a highlight in itself. The service was equally attentive, warm, and professional – a team that clearly loves and lives their craft. Even though the restaurant is somewhat hidden – down the main street and then turn left – every single step is worthwhile. Anyone looking for an exceptional, tasteful, and high-quality experience will find it here. A huge compliment to the entire team: despite the sometimes challenging local conditions, you manage to create a gastronomic masterpiece. We will gladly return and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. An absolute culinary highlight.

Ein tolles Restaurant , eines der besten in Mönchengladbach. Es war unser erster Besuch und aufgrund der guten Bewertungen waren die Erwartungen dementsprechend hoch. Wir waren mit dem Essen und der Qualität sehr zufrieden, das Thunfisch sashimi ist hier hervorzuheben. Abschließend darf man die sehr freundliche Dame aus der Bedienung nicht vergessen , welche einen tollen Job macht und angenehm durch die Abend begleitet. Nur zum empfehlen.

As a fairly well travelled person, I can easily say that was the best meal I’ve had in Germany, if not in all of Europe. The chef and the team were all super friendly and welcoming. Kept offering me little bites to try when they realized I’m a foodie and had come by myself just for the food

A real surprise in Rheydt! My husband and I visited Amelsan's for the first time today and were completely thrilled. A small, fine restaurant – here, quality over quantity is clearly the motto. The food was outstanding – perfectly flavorful, beautifully presented, and simply special. The staff is also extremely friendly and attentive, without seeming pretentious. We honestly didn't expect such excellent cuisine in Rheydt – all the more wonderful that it's available here. A real highlight – we're already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

Amelsan's is a small, intimate restaurant run with great warmth by a brother and sister duo. The service is always excellent, and you simply feel completely at home here. Every visit is a highlight!

Ich bin neu in der Stadt und habe dieses Restaurant zufällig entdeckt – was für ein Glücksgriff! Der Service war von Anfang bis Ende aufmerksam, freundlich und sehr professionell. In unseren Augen sollte es auch ein Geheimtipp bleiben- die Terrasse unsauber, voller Spinnweben und von Grünzeug überzogen. Die Tische im Aussenbereich sind abgesplittert, außerdem liegt weder eine Tischdecke, noch ein Tischset auf dem Tisch. Die Auflagen auf den Stühlen, sind durchgesessen und schäbig. Der Innenraum ist ansprechend, doch da saß niemand. In der Damentoilette war der Mülleimer voll, obwohl nur zwei Frauen an diesem Abend anwesend waren. Überhaupt waren an diesem Abend nur vier! Gäste da! Zum Essen- sehr lecker, ausreichende Portionen und Ideenreich! Leider war der Service ungelernt, er meinte auch, er wäre nur eine Aushilfe. Das interessiert mich als Gast gar nicht, denn sie möchten auch das komplette Geld von mir! Und das ist die Crux an der Geschichte- tolles Essen, schlechter Service, der Aussenbereich verdreckt und dann eine stolze Summe Geld, die man bezahlen soll. Wir gaben dem Kellner die Dinge mit auf dem Weg , aber da kam nichts- wie auch? Er war ja nur die Aushilfe….

Four of us went to amelsans for the first time based on a recommendation, and our expectations were exceeded in every way! Incredibly wonderful, cozy restaurant in a corner where you'd least expect it. Booking was easy and hassle-free online. The menu is very manageable, but every dish sounds so great that it's hard to decide. The service is second to none: friendly, humorous, personable, and very informal. The ambiance is very nice; the restaurant is rather small, air-conditioned (a dream, especially in the current heat), and you can peek into the kitchen at any time to see how the food is lovingly prepared. All courses were excellent! The meat was perfectly cooked and of the highest quality. The desserts were also impressive across the board – the chocolate mousse is second to none. Definitely not the last time we've been to amelsans; probably the best restaurant in all of MG!

Admittedly, you have to find it first. The restaurant is a bit hidden, almost like an insider tip among insiders. But as soon as you walk through the door, you know: It's worth the detour. What immediately strikes you is that the waitress is a true character (I think she's part of the family, but I don't want to misrepresent this) with a dry sense of humor, genuine interest, and always a casual joke on her lips, without being intrusive. And then my steak, simply perfect: nicely crispy on the outside with a fine crust, perfectly medium-rare on the inside, wonderfully juicy. You can tell that someone is behind the grill who knows and loves their craft. I'll be back.

Alongside the usual, more well-known Mönchengladbach restaurants, Amelsans immediately appeared at the top. The service was very friendly, the food and dessert were 10/10, and we didn't lack for anything. We highly recommend it!

Zudem kommt immer ein bisschen familiäre Atmosphäre auf durch das sehr freundliche, immer zugewandte Personal, mit dem man am späteren Abend auch gerne ins Gespräch kommt. Echte Empfehlung!
