Four of us went to amelsans for the first time based on a recommendation, and our expectations were exceeded in every way! Incredibly wonderful, cozy restaurant in a corner where you'd least expect it. Booking was easy and hassle-free online. The menu is very manageable, but every dish sounds so great that it's hard to decide. The service is second to none: friendly, humorous, personable, and very informal. The ambiance is very nice; the restaurant is rather small, air-conditioned (a dream, especially in the current heat), and you can peek into the kitchen at any time to see how the food is lovingly prepared. All courses were excellent! The meat was perfectly cooked and of the highest quality. The desserts were also impressive across the board – the chocolate mousse is second to none. Definitely not the last time we've been to amelsans; probably the best restaurant in all of MG!

Admittedly, you have to find it first. The restaurant is a bit hidden, almost like an insider tip among insiders. But as soon as you walk through the door, you know: It's worth the detour. What immediately strikes you is that the waitress is a true character (I think she's part of the family, but I don't want to misrepresent this) with a dry sense of humor, genuine interest, and always a casual joke on her lips, without being intrusive. And then my steak, simply perfect: nicely crispy on the outside with a fine crust, perfectly medium-rare on the inside, wonderfully juicy. You can tell that someone is behind the grill who knows and loves their craft. I'll be back.

Alongside the usual, more well-known Mönchengladbach restaurants, Amelsans immediately appeared at the top. STUNNING!!! My husband and I visited this small but very nice restaurant last week and were simply overwhelmed. We were warmly greeted and welcomed by the very friendly service, so we immediately felt at home! We continued with the perfect meal, something we haven't had in a long time!! Every single dish had a variety of components, all of which were a real taste explosion. Just WOW!!! Even your eyes could eat with the lovingly prepared plates. The Amelsans is a real insider tip for all connoisseurs! P.s: We have already reserved the next table and are very happy!! :)

We waited 45 minutes for our food at the EineStadtfest and received two small pieces of dry bread as “compensation”. Totally great! The ambience on the extremely unattractive corner of Brucknerallee was anything but despicable. However, the food was delicious. Only very little. Otherwise pretty cool. Herzliches, freundliches Personal. Sehr gute Küche und toller Wein. Familiäre Atmosphäre - unser Sohn konnte drinnen ein Spiel der EM schauen und dabei sein köstliches Dessert verspeisen. Einrichtung und Toiletten tiptop. Wir haben abends bei 30 Grad draußen gesessen und fühlten uns wie im Urlaub im Süden. Kinder spielten auf der Straße und deren Mütter saßen auf den Bänken. Summer vibes!

We became aware of the small but very fine restaurant through Open Table. Very inconspicuous from the outside, after entering the guest room we were surprised by a very pleasant/homely atmosphere and greeted in a very friendly manner. The menu that was handed to us told us that the motto here is “less is more”. There was a small but very successful selection of dishes. We enjoyed it very much and felt like we were in good hands. Die Speisekarte bietet eine Vielzahl von Gerichten, die alle frisch zubereitet und köstlich sind. Egal ob Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte oder Desserts, hier wird wirklich jeder Geschmack bedient. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Präsentation der Gerichte. Jedes einzelne sieht nicht nur appetitlich aus, sondern schmeckt auch genau so gut, wie es aussieht. Auch die Weinkarte lässt keine Wünsche offen und bietet eine Auswahl an exzellenten Weinen, die perfekt zu den Gerichten passen. Alles in allem kann ich Amelsans Restaurant uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall und ich freue mich schon darauf, bald wieder dort zu speisen.
