Am Seewoog Holzofen Pizzeria in Ramstein-Miesenbach

First, this is a cash only restaurant. I think I saw an ATM right outside of the restaurant. I would not go all the way there if I knew that, but I made my way and found that out at the entrance. They have lots of tables and the restaurant is pretty huge. Really good option for group gatherings, and the restaurant got packed pretty quickly. Service was fast but I felt like they were rusing me to order (I'm guessing it's their habit because they know it will get busier). The food came out surprisingly quick as well. Both pizzas were good in each own way. The cream sauce on Panna was not that impressive, but I needed it because the other one was a little salty.

The food was really good, the interior is chic and modern and the prices are okay 👍

Don’t let the name fool you they had lots more than just pizzas…a variety of Italian dishes!! Beautiful restaurant with fantastic high quality delicious Italian food! Service was top notch. The facilities were clean and classic with a modern feel. Plenty of parking. But be aware they were cash-only.

Food is outstanding, normally I get the grilled salmon or try a pizza. Always good, and my kids love their steaks. It’s a very busy place, but that just means the food tastes good, right? I’ve prolly eaten here 20+ times.

Can only give 3 stars. Pizza very tasty and inexpensive. Pasta dishes but quite overpriced and very small portion. My pasta dish was also missing the main ingredient. If you complain about this, you will be taken for a fool.

Best pizza & pasta in the Ramstein area.

My husband and I ate here tonight. I highly suggest making reservations. We got lucky and got a table for one hour. It is Cash Only so bring Euros! My husband ordered the Onion Soup and Pizza. I ordered the Carbonara. The food was really good. The restaurant was clean. Our waitress was friendly and spoke English even though Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch but it was helpful for my husband. They have a menu in English if you can't speak Deutsch. We will definitely be back! Danke für das tolle Essen!

Good place for a meal. Not an exceptional or standout meal, but good, quality German food. Prices are a bit high, but not black-tie high. I'd go back, but would keep looking if I was on the hunt for a favorite place...

Super delicious wood-fired pizza. Despite the large number of guests, the catering went quickly. The food also came for over 20 people in a reasonable time, even though it was a wide variety of dishes. It's admirable that the individual pizza baker manages to do everything so well in a coordinated manner, even in the face of massive crowds.

It was our first time in the restaurant and we weren't disappointed. The wood stove attracted us. Food, service and location were top. The Pizza Diavolo could be a little spicier ;-) We'd love to come back.

This place is convenient if you are at Seewoog park, pizza is decent, pasta is decent. Everything tasted fine, but I enjoy other pizza and pasta locations better. I would come again but not go out of my way to plan a trip specifically for this location

Ich habe kürzlich die Pizzeria am Seewoog besucht und war leider ziemlich enttäuscht. Zunächst war ich überrascht, dass die Bepreisung der Gerichte als auch Getränke hoch angesetzt war. Der Preis für einen kleinen Salat belief sich auf 5,50, für maximal 4 Salatblätter und am Rand ein paar Maiskörner und geriebene Karotten. Für das, was angeboten wurde, empfand ich den Preis als überhöht, insbesondere im Vergleich zu anderen Gerichten dieser Art in ähnlichen Restaurants. Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt betrifft die Pizza, die ich bestellt habe. Sie war übermäßig mit Käse belegt, was den Geschmack dominierte und die anderen Zutaten überschattete. Ebenso waren auch die Preise für die Getränke auffallend hoch, über 5 Euro für ein 0,4 Radler erscheint mir doch übertrieben. Dazu muss man sagen, dass ich bereits in touristischen Orten im Ausland (in meinem Fall Sölden, Österreich) weniger für ein 0,5 Radler bezahlt habe. Meiner Vermutung nach orientiert sich die Preisgestaltung nicht am Otto Normalverbraucher, sondern an ein Klientel, das über mehr finanzielle Mittel verfügt. Diese Vermutung knüpfe ich stark an die Präsenz der amerikanischen Basis. Würden Essen, Service und Ambiente den Preisen nur annähernd entsprechen, hätte ich keinen Grund zur Kritik.

Schöne Lage, drinnen war alles sauber und es hat geschmeckt. Zu Beanstanden hatte ich jetzt nichts.

Don't order the schnitzel, they say they are a pizza place, I'd get that instead. And beware, German people let their kids run wild everywhere even in restaurants 😒

Tolles Restaurant in toller Landschaft. Gerichte aus Holzofen schmecken lecker, große Portionen, Preis-Leistung ist kundenfreundlich. Ich komme wieder!

Ich war jetzt schon dreimal dort, jedes Mal absolut zufrieden! Sei es bei einer großen Betriebsfeier oder dem Familienessen, hier schmeckt es immer fantastisch und das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Da kommt man gerne wieder! :)

Erstes Mal hier und direkt eine Enttäuschung! Service SCHLECHT. Nicht willkommen gehießen worden. Nach 30Sek. am Platz musste man sich schon für Getränke entscheiden. Nie wieder! Waren zu Viert (2 erwachsene und 2 Kinder)

Das Ambiente ist wunderbar eingerichtet und hat einen leichten Scheunen-Look. Wir waren dort schon öfters essen und es war jedes Mal sehr Lecker. Die Pizzen sind groß, wonach man sich ruhig eine Vorspeise teilen kann. Die Bedienungen sind freundlich. Bei Kartenzahlung kann man kein Trinkgeld geben.

Kurz und knapp, Pizza und Salate, Service und Preis-Leistungsverhältnis TOP!. Besser geht es nicht!

The food was good. No complaints there. The service was subpar though. We requested a children's seat 3 times (once with reservation, once upon arrival, and once again when we were waiting for food). The servers were not friendly, and I would say they bordered on unfriendly. I understand it was a busy day, so I would try eating here again and hope for a better experience.

Food is great but being in Germany eating at restaurant who either has the heater tobhigh during the winter or no AC during the summer makes the Dinning experience difficult

Ich hatte einen Salat mit Lachs. Der Salat sowie das Dressing waren völlig ungewürzt. Für den Preis viel zu wenig Lachs. Die Bedienung war völlig Lustlos hat auch einfach alle Getränke auf den Tisch gestellt und jeder musst sich seine Getränke selbst raus nehmen.

Lage toll. Essen für den Preis zu teuer. Aber das Gefühl zu bekommen, das man als Gast nicht willkommen ist wird einem schon beim eintreten vermittelt. Keine guten Gastgeber! Vielleicht sollte man sich auf das Außer Haus Geschäft konzentrieren, da muss man nicht soviel Kontakt mit den Gästen haben. Tut meiner Meinung nach allen gut 👍

Was here about 7 years ago and remembered it today, if the place didn't change I really liked the pizzas and the atmosphere

Ich ging eigentlich immer ganz gerne hin, aber warum man für ein 0,5Weizen 6€ verlangen muss, verstehe ich nicht! Zu teuer!

The pizza and pasta are fantastic! We enjoyed our waiter and he spoke both English and German. They also have menus in both languages. Kid friendly. There is a small park across the street with a pond for a nice after dinner stroll. Parking was easy.

One of my go to restaurants in the area. Highly recommend the bruschetta (not traditional at all) and the arugula salad.

Ich bin erstaunt über die vielen guten Bewertungen, denn das Essen war passabel. Die Pizza war ungenügend gebacken. Der Käse war nicht richtig geschmolzen. Als ich das Personal bat die Pizza nochmals in den Ofen zu schieben, kam die Antwort, dass dies nicht geht, da die Pizza bereits geschnitten war. Sie haben es dann trotzdem gemacht und nicht mal 5 Minuten später kam sie retour und es hiess die Pizza würde verbrennen weil der Teig “so dünn” sei. Lächerlich. Personal war seit Anfang an unfreundlich. Nie wieder. Kann ich nicht empfehlen.

This is a great restaurant to have a meal. The menu is very diverse and included many choices ranging from steak, to typical German dishes, to pasta, to pizza. All choices are excellent. As the restaurant can get busy, we recommend calling for a reservation.

The waiter that served out table was HORRIBLE. He was exceptionally terse and rude even by German standards. The saving grace for this establishment was the delicious food and the other staff that delivered our food. Also, WHY IN THE HELL WAS A LARGE PORTION OF WINE SERVED IN A BEER GLASS???! Why not serve it in a regular wine glass and put the second portion in a glass decanter. That was ghetto as hell and took away from the flavor, imo.

Rude and lied. I stopped 2 weeks in advance to schedule a graduation for soon to be 1st graders. After confirming the date I also confirmed the specific location in the restaurant. They wrote my name and phone number down to track it. I noticed the worker was a bit impatient but I dismissed it because the restaurant was busy. Today my wife stopped by to check the numbers as they asked us. First she was told we didn’t have a reservation. I told her to check the book where it was written down. Confirmed. No acknowledgment that they were wrong. Then they told her she couldn’t have the area I confirmed two weeks ago. So I arrived and pointed out the person that I spoke to. He lied about the area I wanted. There was no way I would pick the spot he mentioned because of the congestion. During the whole conversation we felt like they did not want our business. Because of this drama we called another restaurant that was able to accommodate without the dishonesty. And hassle. When I told them we will not have the event and their restaurant, the waiter I originally spoke to said “Super!” That let me know that we were not welcome in the first place. This used to be a place I loved to eat. Service and food were top notch. I hear the food is great but I will not come back.

We have been to this restaurant numerous times actually since they opened. This evening we ordered three pizzas and three drinks. Cost was €48.30! Totally overpriced and the quality isn’t what it had been in the past. The menu now lists an espresso macchiato at €3.50!!! I mean, it is basically a small machine made drink. I noticed the place was not as full as in the past. The high prices and lower quality is a bad combination. RIP. This was our final visit to what was once a fine establishment.

Overpriced for what they offer. My family and I order salads and three different kinds of pasta dishes . The salad was fresh but the dressing was plain, we wouldn’t order that again . Same with the noodles dishes … they were ok , fresh but nothing you can’t do at home … We payed around 80 Euros for 3 people. Wasn’t worth it.

This is a hidden gem. The fire grilled pizza is fantastic! So many choices and the pastas are amazing too! You really can’t go wrong with anything you choose! After dinner you can even stroll around the lake. The wait staff is helpful and attentive!

Very nice place to have a good pizza in Ramstein. The owner and the waiters were very kind. They suggested good plates according to personal willing. To came back again for sure!

We went here with our three kids and enjoyed a couple of appetizers and shared a couple of pizzas. The pizzas were really good and I personally enjoyed the pizza margherita. We were able to eat on the patio and it was nice to enjoy the outdoors. Afterwards there are trails and a lake you can walk around if you would like to enjoy the area a bit more.

I tried the margarita pizza to-go it was very good and only like 8 euros for a large! I will be eating there again soon!

This place sits nicely and quietly on a lake in the middle of a subdivision in Ramstein Village. The food is excellent, especially the caprese and fruit de mar (seafood) pizza.

Went with a group of 7.......numbers keep the orders/bills separate......extra money charged for a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese!!! Took almost 30 minutes to get the bill and the check out woman was not nice.
