Am Dachsberg in Kamp-Lintfort

We have been visiting the restaurant regularly with family and friends for over a year. Whether with 3 people or with 8 and small children. Everything is always great, both food and service. Of the several times we've visited, we've only had to wait longer once because it was really busy. Prices are nothing to complain about either. If you don't plan 15-25€ for a decent portion and especially meat, I wonder what you're waiting for? Dessert from around 5 euros and also a lot to choose from. The service is not an assembly line and you sometimes have to wait for a fresh meal. For us the atmosphere is almost family-like and unfortunately I don't understand the reviews. And judging someone based on a facial expression is incomprehensible to me, the boss and his family are really kind-hearted people. We are always happy to come, thank you ✨

Food was very tasty, but the shop urgently needs renovation.

We go here several times a year, we were always happy with the food, I don't understand some of the negative comments. The boss was always friendly to us and always checked to see if everything was OK. Last year we ate outside in the summer, but unfortunately it was a bit unkempt. But as I said, we like it very much and there is plenty of it. It would be nice if card payments were possible.

A very unfriendly boss, open sockets, no emergency exits, blocked windows, loose window handles, the shop needs to be completely renovated... nothing special to eat... we were there with 10 people and are really disappointed.

We had ordered a table for 10 people for Christmas Day. We got one with 8 chairs. We had to organize the others ourselves. It's probably normal in this restaurant. Waited over two hours for the food even though I was assured on the phone that it would be at 2 When the clock came, things would move quickly. We were already sick with hunger. Especially the children. How can you leave a 73 year old lady who doesn't even have time to drink to wait there alone on days like this? At Christmas I imagine the employees in smart, clean clothes, but here everyone is allowed to wear their street clothes. Even the cook can be found in a dirty jogging suit. The boss is very unfriendly and doesn't have a smile for his guests. Even when leaving the restaurant You don't look at us or say goodbye. This has nothing to do with stress on cold days. We won't be coming back. There is no emergency exit. If you want to open the window, the door handle remains in your hand. Open sockets and water pipes directly on the door Table.It would be impossible to imagine if there had been smaller children there.A lot of guests simply left the restaurant, which they probably already know there.Never again!!!!!!Drink prices are underground.No nightcap like in other restaurants.No coffee or scoop of ice cream Compensation for what you know from others. Salad bar right at the entrance. Delicious! Salad tongs that everyone touches were completely in the salad.

I can't understand some of the criticism. Everything has always been okay for us so far. Well, the fact that the construction site isn't finished is probably a different problem. We've eaten there several times. It's always okay to complain afterwards. We tell you straight away if something is wrong. We will definitely come back. Price and performance are just OK. And more stars for the ambience will come again once everything is finished We just say thank you and keep it up

Good food for a fair price. Classic schnitzel is fine and Balkan specialties such as cevapcici are also top.

We were here on December 24th with 9 people and unfortunately I have to say not again. -The service was ok. -The food was loveless, only lukewarm in places, The meat is on the mix plate (for 3 people). Some of the food probably flew past the “grill” and everyone’s rice was overcooked. -The ambience (at least in the back part) was also adventurous here in places (open flush-mounted boxes with cables, etc.) -The toilets were a bit old (not that bad) but it was really cold there (particularly unpleasant for the ladies). -The boss himself was responsible for paying, rarely experienced such a grumpy and sometimes unfriendly "innkeeper". The bill, if you can call it that, is only given in pencil on a piece of paper.

We waited 2 hours for our food, had to set our table ourselves, the service staff was completely overwhelmed, and there was only one cook. NEVER AGAIN! have left

Price-performance ratio great. There were four of us and we all enjoyed it very much.

Today we ate with the family of about 17 people and that was the last time. The food was unreasonable and the service was a disaster. You would have to wait ages for everything from a steakhouse. I expect a certain quality of meat for these prices and you wouldn't be able to see much of that here. Meat was dry. Fries tasted like they had been warmed up. We were very disappointed. Not recommended. In addition, the tone of the staff and the boss were outrageous

We waited two hours for our food and had to hear 'yes, then you'll just have to wait'. We left without food. Next Christmas we'll go to a different restaurant.

That was a great Christmas party. We waited almost 2 hours with 3 small children and only got a coke. A woman came with a piece of paper and said, here is your order for the drinks, either you keep waiting or you PAY and leave!! O_O??!!

Guys, go somewhere else, we waited over two hours, only got something to drink. We still had children and great-grandparents there. You get NOTHING. You don't even get a portion of fries for the children while you wait. When you complain, someone FINALLY comes and says yes, there's the order, you just have to keep waiting or you pay and leave!!!! They accepted almost 30 tables and only one chef. When we left, 4 families also left behind us.

We also had to wait over 2 hours for the food today. We then joined several families and left hungry, of course, not without paying for the drinks. Bad service as far too few staff, bad ambience, open sockets are a danger and a lot too many reservations at the same time. This store will never see us again.

Unfortunately, we were anything but satisfied with our visit to your restaurant. As soon as we arrived we discovered that our table was neither set nor were there enough chairs available; we had to organize these ourselves. Overall, the service left a lot to be desired: cutlery was incompletely distributed, and we had to go to the front of the entrance to get a salad, even though we were sitting at the back of the restaurant. The biggest problem, however, was the waiting time. After two hours of waiting for our food, we finally decided to leave as there was no improvement in sight. We weren't the only ones, several families also left the restaurant disappointed. The ambience was also unsatisfactory. It was very loud, so conversations were hardly possible. There was no music that could possibly have contributed to the atmosphere. Overall this was unfortunately a very disappointing experience, we won't be coming back!

If there were zero stars, that would still be too many. This "restaurant" is an insult to anyone who has ever had good food in their life. The food was a disgusting mix of tastelessness and blatant negligence - cold, soggy and probably dangerous to health. The service? A single catastrophe. Rude, disinterested and so slow that you think they're doing it on purpose. The hygiene? Doesn't exist here. I'm not sure if this establishment is even operating legally. Save yourself time, money and your health - don't go anywhere but here!

The food was tasteless, the atmosphere was terrible, the cobwebs could have been removed and the worst thing was the service (boss). Grumpy, unfriendly and incapable of criticism.

It was our first time at the Steakhaus am Dachsberg. Poor parking options. In retrospect, I understand the many bad reviews. The atmosphere is like a pub from the 90s. I didn't feel very comfortable, in the adjoining room for celebrations there were loose cables hanging from the ceiling. As well as lots of dusty spider webs. The wood on the wall is broken and not very new. The toilets are very old and you'll freeze your butt off, lamps are broken. Service: The waiters were ok. BUT the boss doesn't work at all, he's so unfriendly, he doesn't tolerate criticism. You explain to him normally what's going on (see food), the boss immediately goes on the attack. Eat: My dish came with a salad from the salad bar. The salad bar is located at the entrance to the restaurant (pub), you could put together your own salad. Unfortunately only half was gone. The dressing was very tasteless and the salad was too soft in my opinion. For the main course I had a piece of meat that was so tough and bland. I could barely chew it. All in all, we won't go there anymore. For the price (not exactly cheap) I would like to get something reasonable. The meat was not of good quality.

The boss always seems grumpy to me. The food was ok, but not entirely convincing. We were a group of 17 people, unfortunately one customer only got her food after everyone else had finished. I don't think it's particularly appropriate to place the salad buffet right in the entrance area where everyone runs past. Our table wasn't set as nicely as the neighboring company, for whatever reason. So I personally won't be coming back for a while

The food was very mediocre. My husband had deer medallions, but they were completely obscured by a dark sauce with chanterelles. This is a no go with steaks and fine meat! I had a grill plate that was very heavy on minced meat. The Djuve rice was overcooked to a pulp and almost tasteless! The absolute highlight, however, was the chef, who served the guests a sizzling dish in a pan wearing an absolutely dirty apron, where you could no longer see the basic color because of the dirt. Should be something special! All in all: quantity instead of quality! That's probably why you saw some guests leaving the restaurant with the obligatory Styrofoam trays. We won't be coming back!

Hello everyone, Today I went there with my family. It was filled on average. When we ordered the food, it took about 30 minutes. My food was the only thing missing. No waiter noticed it, even though they came to our table several times. Likewise with the billing, upon request, no receipt was given out because my sister's bill was difficult to believe! Drinks that were paid for were denied to my brother-in-law and presented as a lie. Accordingly, no tip was given and another visit is out of the question! The ceiling also allows filaments of stamen to hang down. Bon appetit

The food is delicious. I'm thinking positively because I think the steakhouse has just been taken over. It looks like an unfinished solution to me, as there is also a construction fence surrounding the terrace. The inside doesn't seem to be finished either, there are still cables hanging from the walls and the blinds are still crooked. Let's see if anything changes there.

We ate there on September 11th. It has always been very good and fresh. But what existed now defies description. Sticky sauce with overcooked lobes of chanterelles and the meat wasn't particularly fresh but dry. The salad buffet leaves a lot to be desired in terms of selection compared to before. A new tenant or chef probably has a hand in this. Compared to before (almost a year ago) such a deterioration that we won't go there anymore.

I ordered a record there with two older men on Saturday. We all enjoyed it very much, the Pommfritz were just right for me, slightly crunchy 😋. The types of meat were all really well done, whether meatballs, bacon or so on. The service was also very nice, although my companion's crutches were always somehow in the way 😅. Thanks

A beautiful new beer garden was advertised. Conclusion: tables and chairs that are of poorer quality than bulky furniture, a tiled floor for which you should sue the company and no plants, nothing that creates a feel-good factor in a beer garden. The food is okay, the rice was soggy and the staff not particularly attentive. At first you think the prices are legitimate, €2-3 cheaper on average than in other restaurants. But what is an absolute disgrace is that drinks are NOT on the food and drink menu, card payments are not accepted and there is no invoice, so a 0.5l shandy costs €8, the same as a whole box in the supermarket. This is certainly not billed properly!!!

We were here for dinner with friends. My wife and I each had a steak, which we received in the degree of doneness we ordered. The food was warm, tasty and generously portioned. The service, on the other hand, had room for improvement. The staff seemed annoyed and listless, threw the menus on the table and were only initially relatively attentive to the drinks. The atmosphere in the beer garden was ok. The entire area has been a construction site for some time and has not yet been completed.

The restaurant is really a nice little alternative that you should visit if you come from the area. The food is really good and the highlight of the restaurant. The waitresses are very friendly and you feel very comfortable in the restaurant. It is easily suitable for smaller celebrations and there is enough space even for several people.

It was very dirty, the salad bar was disgusting, my food tasted like finished goods. I am dissatisfied with my visit to the restaurant, I cannot recommend eating there.

The 5th star for the ambience will definitely be given when the renovation (extension) is finished. Otherwise everything was great and delicious 😋

If you like the Balkans, this is the right place for you. Tastes delicious and good portions. The grill plate is hardly manageable. Moderate prices. The steaks are also good. Restaurant is currently being expanded. There is a good reason for this: the price/performance ratio is right.

I had the most expensive dish of all of us, pepper rump steak with fries. (€28) Since we are in a steakhouse, I was really looking forward to it. When it arrived at the table, I already saw the very dark and very thick “pepper sauce”. This was definitely not homemade and was 99.9% straight from the bag. I wasn't asked how I wanted the steak. It arrived medium/almost well done. The taste was really not good. The sauce simply tasted too much like a finished product and the peppercorns were way too spicy. (Remember, we are in a steakhouse!!!) I was very disappointed. The others at the table weren't really happy with the food either. The owner comes from the Balkans and accordingly they also serve Djuvec rice, which should actually be the flagship of a restaurant like this. In short, it tasted terrible and hardly anyone at the table ate it. It also looked very unappetizing. Only one person, with the Hawaiian schnitzel, was satisfied with the food. Oh yes, the fries were good, but I can get them somewhere else, I won't go to the restaurant for that! The young lady who served us was friendly and attentive. However, I should have been able to be seen at the table more often. All in all, I was extremely disappointed with the “Steakhaus”. The steak was simply not enjoyable! Nobody asked if we were happy with the food. They are probably already used to criticism. However, the ambience was nice and the toilets were clean. I hope they take some of the reviews into account, then I would give the restaurant another chance!

Tolles Weihnachtsessen, Speisen durchweg mega lecker, schneller und gute Service...

Gutes Essen für einen guten Preis nette Bedienung

Wir waren letztes Jahr zu Weihnachten da. Es wurde sogar Ente angeboten Sehr lecker alles.

Wir waren zu dritt dort essen. Wir wurden zwar recht schnell bedient, ein Gericht war aber leider falsch serviert worden und auf den Hinweis wurde dann das richtige gebracht, dabei war die Bedienung nicht gerade überschwänglich freundlich. Das Essen an sich war geschmacklich okay bis gut, die Portionen sind aber auf jeden Fall sehr groß. Hat aber eher etwas von Balkan-Grill, so richtig "Steakhaus" ist es nicht. Preislich war es auch total in Ordnung. Service könnte etwas besser und aufmerksamer sein, aber ist in Ordnung. Dass man aber im Jahr 2023 dort keine Kartenzahlung akzeptiert, ist für mich persönlich ein echtes No-Go. Auch das Ambiente ist eher "Stammkneipe" als Restaurant. War mal eine Erfahrung wert, es wird aber wohl der letzte Besuch gewesen sein, da es in der Umgebung deutlich bessere Restaurants gibt.

Update 23 leider war der Besuch wochentags nicht so erfreulich Steak Medium rare bestellt leider kam es fast durch an ! Es war wenig zu tun mit uns nur 3 Tische belegt.Der Bedienung älterer Herr ließ sich auch nicht mehr blicken erst wo wir fertig waren mit dem Essen ! Die dann folgende obligatorische Frage ob’s geschmeckt hat sagte ich ihm das es fast durch war ! Reaktion keine war ihm es scheinbar egal , nicht mal eine Entschuldigung schon sehr enttäuschend!!! erste Besuch jüngerer Service hinterließ einen besseren Eindruck! Vor 23 Waren Sonntags zu acht dort Lokal gut besucht. Ambiente ganz nett, flinke Kellner die zügig Getränke u Essen Aufnahmen fand sie aber sehr unpersönlich aber ok ! Es gibt ein gutes salatbüfett essen klasse bei allen u große Portionen wo auch gute Esser satt werden ! Preis Leistung voll ok Corona angepasst!

Bei unserem Besuch dort lief so einiges schief. Das Fleisch war bei einem Gericht kalt. Die Bedienung war eher unfreundlich. Wir mussten 3x ein Bier zurückgehen lassen da es nicht wie gewünscht alkoholfrei war und es wurde auch einfach eine andere Bier Sorte serviert. Als wir dieses der Bedienung sagten, meinte sie das man das doch gar nicht merkt. So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt und ich würde dieses Lokal nur bedingt weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen war okay, das Personal freundlich. Doch leider waren bei beiden meiner Besuche die Stuhlhussen dreckig und die Tischdecke war voll mit Flecken und Krümeln.

Dieses Experiment hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Wir waren zu dritt und haben spontan abends noch einen Tisch bekommen. Das Lokal ist gemütlich eingerichtet und erweckt einen heimeligen Eindruck. Es ist alles sauber und gepflegt. Die Bedienung war absolut auf zack und überaus freundlich. Das Essen zu wirklich fairen Preisen hatte eine klasse Qualität und hat uns allen dreien sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Portionen waren durchaus als üppig zu bezeichnen, wir haben es alle drei nicht geschafft aufzuessen obwohl wir schon auf den Beulagensalat vom Buffet verzichtet haben. Auch möchte ich erwähnen, dass unserem Wunsch, das Rindersteak englisch zu bekommen, tadellos entsprochen wurde. Einzig die Parkplatzsituation ist nicht optimal, aber das ist beim übrigen Gesamteindruck kaum der Rede wert.

Das Essen war ziemlich gut, böhnchen versalzen, Salat Buffet hatte kein Licht. Das Objekt ist im Umbau, die hussen waren schmuddelig. Sehr lange Wartezeit. Nervige decken beleuchtung flackerlicht. Bedienung war fix. Aber sehr teuer.

Essen war ganz Okay. Manchmal fühlte man sich aber etwas unerwünscht. Wenn der Neubau fertig ist wird es bestimmt besser.

Wir waren gestern mit 8 Personen (6 Erwachsene / 2 Kinder) im Restaurant. Essen: Das Essen an sich hat geschmeckt - wenn man von den wirklich komplett angebrannten Bohnen bei einem Essen mal absieht. Was gar nicht geht - bei mindestens zwei weiteren Gerichten waren weiße Haare im Essen! Sowas geht gar nicht. Und wenn man sich andere Rezensionen durchliest, ist das nicht das erste mal, dass sowas passiert. Service / Bedienung: Keine Ahnung, welche Laus dem Team über die Leber gelaufen ist - aber Freundlichkeit scheint gestern nicht auf der Karte gestanden zu haben: Mein Vater hatte im Vorfeld reserviert - zu dem Zeitpunkt hatte er keinen Hinweis dazu bekommen, dass momentan wohl aufgrund des Restaurantumbaus nur Barzahlung möglich ist (dazu später noch mehr). Mir ist auch nur aufgrund eines Zettels aufgefallen, der im Speisebereich aushing. Auf die Frage, was man machen könne, wenn man das gar nicht eingeplant hat, bekam mein Vater die überaus kodderige Antwort "Gegenüber vom Krankenhaus ist ein Geldautomat!" Ich will keinen Mitleidsbonus dafür - aber a) kann man freundlicher mit zahlender Kundschaft umgehen und b) kann man das einem Mann im Rollstuhl auch deutlich freundlicher formulieren! Auf die Frage, wieso man das nicht schon bei der Reservierung angemerkt hatte, dass momentan nur Barzahlung möglich sei, gab es keine Antwort. Die Bestellung ging danach fix - aber knapp 50 Minuten Wartezeit auf die bestellten Essen sind schon recht lang. Als das Essen dann kam, wurden diese auch wieder recht unfreundlich serviert. Als dann die bestellten Raznici kamen, hatte ich mir leider nur die Nummer gemerkt und nicht den Namen vom Gericht. Auf eine normale Frage, welche Nummer das Gericht denn hat, kam die wirklich sehr patzige und fast schon entgegengefluchte Antwort: "Was weiß ich?". Da ich ehrlicherweise zu der Fraktion gehöre, die zwar eine Menge einsteckt, dann aber auch - wenn das Maß erreicht ist - "freundlicher" werden kann, kam dann die Frage meinerseits (die übrigens auch akustisch verstanden wurde), ob die Freundlichkeit ein Service wäre, den man heute noch extra dazu kaufen müsste. Aber das ging auch an der Bedienung vorbei - keine Reaktion, keine Entschuldigung, weiter mit dem missmutigen Dienst wie gehabt. Das Thema Schnelligkeit hatte ich schon angesprochen. Was meinerseits wieder zu totalem Unverständnis geführt hat: Nach dem Essen hatte mein Onkel nach der Eiskarte gefragt - 5 Minuten lang kam nichts... Zwar wurde sich hier einmalig dafür entschuldigt. Aber weitere 10 Minuten später war immer noch keine Bestellung aufgenommen - und das, wo 2 Kinder deutlich den Wunsch nach Eis mehrfach im Vorbeigehen ausgesprochen hatten. Wie man so meint, Geschäfte erfolgreich weiter führen zu können - keine Ahnung. Jetzt noch mal zum Thema fehlende EC-Bezahlungsmöglichkeit. Zum Glück hatten meine Eltern und mein Onkel noch genug Bargeld dabei, so dass wir die Rechnung bar begleichen konnten. Aber dass der Umbau, der momentan am Restaurant durchgeführt wird, die EC-Bezahlung stören würde, kann ich so nicht gelten lassen. Ich bin selbst ITler - und aus Langeweile habe ich dann mal einen Blick auf den im Thekenbereich stehenden Router geworfen. Ich weiß, dass bei fehlender DSL-Verbindung die Lampe am Router nicht dauerhaft grün geblinkt hätte. Und dass die EC-Anlage selbst an der Ecke, wo ich saß, per WLAN von meinem Handy aus erreichbar war... naja, was soll ich sagen. Ich glaube nicht, dass das EC-System nicht erreichbar war. Kleine Anekdote dazu - einen Tag vorher war ich in einem Geschäft einkaufen, wo das DSL wirklich gestört war. Aber was ließ sich das lösen? Der Verkäufer dort hat dann einfach einen Hotspot mit seinem Smartphone für die Bezahlung aufgemacht. Interessant, wie einfach das geht, wenn man was will... Nun endlich das Fazit: Essen ok, wenn man Zeit mitbringt und von den Haaren in zwei Essen und den verbrannten Bohnen absieht... Ambiente so lala... Service absolut das Schlechteste, was ich je erlebt habe. Dafür haben wir dann leider knapp 175 Euro da gelassen... Wir kommen definitiv nicht mehr wieder!

365 Tage geöffnet und dies sowohl mittags wie abends. Das verdient Anerkennung und Respekt. Speisekarte wird laufend durch saisonale Produkte angereichert, was bei vielen anderen Betrieben nicht der Fall ist. Rationen fallen eher groß aus.

Bis jetzt immer Glück gehabt mit unserem Essen. Besonders die Salatbar ist sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Ambiente ist altbacken. Aber vielleicht wird es ja ein bisschen moderner wenn das neue Café fertig ist. Bedienung freundlich und hat auch oft gefragt ob alles OK ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Wir haben viel erwartet,aufgrund der Bewertungen. Was haben wir bekommen ? Eine Enttäuschung. Über Optik/Geschmack lässt sich streiten. Sauberkeit auf dem WC aber nicht. Dann bekamen wir unser Essen, alles sah gut aus. Bei meinem Essen befanden sich leider Haare, also habe ich es zurück gehen lassen. Nicht mal 2 Minuten später bekam ich ein angeblich neues Essen, auch das ging natürlich zurück. Mir war klar das der Koch nicht zaubern kann. Die Gespräche vom Koch und Bedienung bekamen wir mit, ein danke geht an der Bedienung die wirklich fair war. Die Preise sind unfassbar, Sauberkeit ebenfalls. Ein Wiedersehen wird es nicht geben ,aber dennoch viel Erfolg

Definitiv ein Besuch wert Steak war wirklich gut und auch die Grillplatte war super Wir sind auf den Umbau gespannt und kommen wieder

Sehe gute Portionen und Essen war sehr lecker.Salate genug zur Auswahl und freundliches Personal.Uns hat es gefallen und wir werden wieder zum Essen dort hin fahren. Es wird auch alles gerade umgebaut und auf neustem Renoviert. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Das Essen war in Ordnung, das Hacksteak war lecker, die Salatbar nicht ansprechend. Ganzes Interieur sehr in die Jahre gekommen.
