Altstadtkneipe Noah in Erfurt

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was not a pleasant one. When we asked if the fried potatoes could be made without bacon for a vegetarian, we were refused, saying they were already prepared. We had specifically ordered a dish that wasn't so time-consuming to prepare, as we wanted to go to the cinema. After an hour and a half, the food still wasn't ready. We left without eating, which was a real shame. The location itself was quite nice, but the music was a bit too loud.

Highly recommended location with a great atmosphere. There's really nothing to complain about. In addition to a great menu, Noah has a huge beer selection and invites you to linger. We were pleasantly surprised again when paying, as we had expected more... Unfortunately, you have to make a reservation, at least for inside.

Super nice, rustic “pub”! a must when you are in Erfurt, great food and an unearthly selection of drinks, if you are coming with several people it is best to reserve in advance.

Update October 19, 2021 Although only 3G is the minimum requirement for restaurants in Erfurt, unvaccinated people will not be allowed in, even with a test. Vaccination fascism with 2G is celebrated here. I am disappointed by so much contempt for humanity. Shame on you! That was once: Quaint, cozy cult pub in the middle of Erfurt's old town with its own smoking room. In addition to a huge selection of international beers, there is delicious home-cooked food at reasonable prices. Always my pleasure!

The location and food were really very good, but unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. We had to wait a very long time for our food (we were told beforehand because of the lack of staff), my friends had already had their main course and I hadn't even had my starter. If you wanted to flag down a waiter because you wanted to order something, you were ignored, and at some point we were no longer allowed to order food because we were overloaded. The music was also very loud that you could hardly have a conversation and some guests were so loud that you could hardly hear your neighbors. When we wanted to pay we had to ask twice and it took half an hour for someone to come with the bill. Since I then decided to pay my tip (since it wasn't good service in my opinion), the waitress also seemed pretty annoyed.

Were there on a Saturday evening. The food was delicious and the beer selection is huge. Ambiance is really great. Service was good, but very tense. What I found negative was that it took 1.5 hours to bring the food because there was only 1 cook in the kitchen (which is a great achievement considering the number of guests!). It was far too crowded for that. You sat elbow to elbow with the table next to you. Which makes me think of just taking out a table? I also found it too dark to be able to read the map. And you have to go to the toilet outside through the smoking area. Yes, the poor smokers... But it doesn't make any sense with the NON-smokers. Recommendation: Yes, definitely

If you're looking for a really good beer bar in Erfurt, then Noah is perfect. The beer selection is unique in Erfurt. Food rustic, solid, tasty and fresh. Two very friendly waitresses served us. If you're looking for a downer, there are two, you have to pre-order to be on the safe side and it's not open every day. So we'll be back 😀

This quaint pub was recommended to my wife and I. Even though everything was reserved, we got two seats. Brief information from the service, look at the beer mats, you have time to take the bus there. So I looked for a beer mat that would fit. Then browse the large map. Ultimately, I listened to the waitress and ordered the beer. Add the food and everything went perfectly. The food was delicious and the beer too. The atmosphere is very cozy and we know where we will go when we are back in Erfurt.😃 Everything was great 👍

Very cozy atmosphere and a great selection of drinks (whiskey, beer, vodka, etc. in many varieties). Unfortunately it's very tightly installed and very loud. But I would still come back at any time, the charm simply outweighs it.

The "Noah" is one of the quaint pubs I've ever been to. The menu is based on Thuringian specialties. The Thuringian Rostbrätl is highly recommended. And if you're looking for unusual drinks, you can fight your way through the huge selection of craft beers and whiskeys. Anyone who is in Erfurt should have been there at least once. Gladly again.

Great beer selection, super quaint, great music. Very consistent all around. Prices are a little higher than in comparable pubs, but the beers are also special. There is a strong smell of food in the bar area. Unfortunately, after your visit you smell as if you had spent the evening in the kitchen 🙈 More vegetarian alternatives would be nice. Music is sometimes a bit too loud in some areas, making it difficult to have a conversation. Overall, one of my favorite bars in the Thuringian capital ✌🏼 I'm a bit surprised at one or two reviews here. The preparation of the food takes a while at Noah, yes, but this is always pointed out beforehand. Comparing that with an Italian who has already basically prepared both pizza dough and pasta is rather ridiculous.

I was really looking forward to the evening at Noah, as this "old town pub" is an institution in Erfurt. The ambience is promising and rustic. We were with several people and wanted to have a nice evening. Unfortunately, it was hardly possible to converse with each other because the music was good but very loud. Despite requests from several tables to turn the music down a little, nothing happened. The waitress was also barely able to understand the orders given the volume, which led to a number of misunderstandings. We waited almost 2 hours for our food because Noah was very full. But the quality of the food was praised by everyone. Without the loud music and with a little more staff it could have been a very nice evening, the conditions are there. I'll give Noah a second chance.

The rustic ambience is clearly the focus of this restaurant...!!! The service and, above all, the manager cannot be why this restaurant has so many stars and good reviews. The fact that you wait a long time for a meal to be ordered is quite often described in the existing reviews. This obviously suggests that the kitchen urgently needs support. The very home-style food is good and nothing out of the ordinary. The range of drinks on offer is noteworthy...! Dealing with guests is also worth paying attention to. Here you get the feeling that there is still a lot of room for improvement. Guests will be asked to vacate their table simply because a certain time has expired. If orders take a long time, I also have to give the guest time. The staff tries hard, but can't cover up the appearance of management. This one or the other sometimes missteps and uses an insulting tone towards the guests. On the HP the operator describes a lot of truth under the “About Us” section. Even if he writes that he runs it “honestly”. If “honest” means the choice of words towards some guests. However, he also describes that the catering industry is run with passion. Since the feeling is conveyed here that the focus is not on the guest, but rather on their money, I personally think it is better to delete this from the half board. The operator probably won't care about this recession because the store is booming. Maybe these sentences will help future guests make a decision.

We had reserved a table for 6:30 p.m. and arrived a little earlier. It took about an hour for the food to arrive. We didn't have a problem. After the meal we ordered drinks and already paid because the waitress was stressed. At 7:50 p.m. we were informed by the waiter that the table would be reserved again from 8:00 p.m. We still had full glasses and wanted to drink them, which wasn't a problem for the waitress. At 8:00 p.m. the junior manager came and said that we had one minute to leave the restaurant. I then said that we were still drinking and that two of us were still in the toilet. The answer was that we had already paid for 20 minutes and should get the fuck out of his pub. We regularly visit the catering industry, but we have never experienced such anti-social behavior. If we had been told straight away when we arrived that the table would be reassigned from 8 p.m., we would have been able to prepare for it. So we paid for drinks that we had to leave half full. It's a shame, Noah was recommended by friends. Our conclusion about Noah: A completely overloaded team with the wrong attitude towards gastronomy and guests.

Wir hatten für 18:30 Uhr einen Tisch reserviert, kamen bereits etwas früher. Bis das Essen kam, verging ca. eine Stunde. Hatten wir kein Problem. Nach dem Essen haben wir noch Getränke bestellt und bereits bezahlt, da die Bedienung im Stress war. Um 19:50 Uhr wurden wir von der Bedienung informieet, dass der Tisch ab 20:00 Uhr erbeut reserviert sei. Wir hatten nich volle Gläser und wollten diwae austrinken, war für die Bedienung kein Problem. Um 20:00 Uhr kam der Juniorchef und sagte, dass wir eine Minute Zeit hätten, das Lokal zu verlassen. Ich sagte darauf hin, dass wir noch austrinken, außerdem 2 noch auf Toilette waren. Die Antwort war, wir hätten schon seit 20 Minuten bezahlt, und sollen uns aus seiner Kneipe verpissen. Wir besuchen regelmäßig die Gasteonomie, aber so ein asoziales Verhalten haben wir noch nie erlebt. Hätte man uns bei Ankunft gleich gesagt, dass der Tisch ab 20:00 Uhr neu vergeben ist, hätten wir uns darauf einstellen können. So haben wir noch Getränke bezahlt, die wir halbvoll stehen lassen mussten. Sehr schade, Noah war eine Empfehlung von Freunden. Unser Fazit über Noah: Ein völlig überlastetes Team mit der falschen Einstellung zu Gastronomie und Gästen

So eine wunderschöne Kneipe. Die Bierauswahl ist herausragend. Auch bei der Auswahl der Speisen ist für alle Etwas dabei. Das Personal ist besonders freundlich und hilfsbereit.

This pub was recommended to me. It was more than worth it. Very rustic atmosphere and wonderful service from the staff. Large selection of beer and other drinks. Unfortunately we didn't get to eat... We'll do that on our next visit.

Cool pub, packed, service very committed, but lost track of the bill, so 4 people from our group were left sitting on the rest ramp and we pooled the others' debts. Maybe it should be cashed in every now and then, at least with a larger group like we were (class reunion). Otherwise everything was really great, from the food to the music.

The ambience is great, the food is extremely rustic. Since it is usually very busy, it takes a while to eat, you have to get used to it - and then you can try one or two beers from the extensive drinks menu.

Nice pub in Erfurt city center. The outside view is very simple but the inside is absolutely cool. If you like pubs, this is the place for you. Staff polite, not intrusive but unfortunately not quite as attentive when drinks are empty. The food is good, rustic Thuringian cuisine, just like you know it. Recommended farmer's salad, really tasty! Noticeably many types of beer at the start, but a lot from cans, bottles and taps. Prices are normally affordable. There is a beer garden which is also nice. Big mango, even if the pub was busy, the wait for the food was really long. I found 1 hour 50 minutes for two salads and two roast meats a bit uncool. And the music in the interior was a bit too loud, you could hardly understand what your neighbor was saying. But what the hell, had a nice evening and can recommend Noah. Have fun with your visit!!!

A great old town pub. The fact that I was here again after about ten years and it was barely as good as it was back then speaks for the continuity of this shop. The beer selection is spectacularly large, with hundreds of craft beers of various origins and delicious draft beers. The Thuringian food is delicious and the service is great. It's rustic inside and cozy in the beer garden.

Saturday evening, we had made a reservation and based on previous experiences we had already planned a 1 hour wait for the food. But when we wanted to order, the waitress told us that we couldn't order anything and that there would be a stop. No information for how long. The waiting time for drinks and the bill was very long. There were only 2 waitresses for the full restaurant. And the beer garden wasn't attended because of the rain! So this restaurant is canceled for us.

The restaurant is a restaurant with traditional Thuringian cuisine. The food tastes good. The prices could be a little cheaper. The service wasn't the real thing. We were asked if we would like to sit outside. Then there was no table left so we had to go in. It was very dark here. Too dark for my taste. We were only able to order food when we asked, but unfortunately we were forgotten. The waiting time was very long. We sat for almost 2 hours before the food was on the table. That's too much of a good thing.

Legendary Erfurt old town pub with a beautiful beer garden in the back yard. Inside, all the walls are covered in old enamel signs and photos. There are endless types of beer and good home cooking. Anyone sitting inside must like louder music. For me it's always worth a visit.

Attention: Unfortunately it is not or only very poorly marked which dishes contain meat (the fried potatoes contain bacon!!!). When I discovered the bacon in the potatoes and pointed it out to the waitress, she didn't respond well. She apologized a few minutes later, but charged the full price because I couldn't eat. A pity.

Incredibly quaint, cozy, rustic. Once you have worked your way through the interesting drinks menu (approx. 300 types of beer), you will be served super quickly and friendly! The food also looked very good (we didn't try it). Nothing works without a reservation - even during the week! Maybe you can have luck in the small, beautifully rustic outdoor area. When we went to a concert in Erfurt, we added another day of culture and sightseeing. In the evening came the question of food. We passed here by chance. It's been a very, very long time since I've been to Noah. There are an incredible number of types of beer and a good selection of typical beer garden food. The beer garden is very, very quaint and cozy. However, we waited more than a long time for the food. Although it says on the menu that there are longer waiting times due to fresh preparation, we waited almost an hour. Maybe you should just make the map smaller so you can progress faster. I also find the prices for the food really borderline these days. The service was nice, but seemed overwhelmed at one point or another. My recommendation: yes to drinking beer, no to eating.

Unscheinbar in der ziemlich ruhigen Gasse, fast versteckt wie eine geheimen Höhle, liegt der Eingang zu einem bombastisch coolen Lokal. Ich glaube mich fast in einem irischen Pub. Zwar ohne Kaminfeuer und Geschmack von Torfrauch, aber anziehend, gemütlich, ein Treffpunkt, der zum plaudern, trinken, essen, leben einlädt. Klasse Musik, die urige Möblierung, das Licht, die Wände bedeckt mit hunderten von alten Bildern, Schildern und anderen alten Dingen, die unzähligen kleinen Räume, alle vollbesetzt mit gut gelaunten, gesprächigen Menschen, dazu der eigentümlichen Geruch, eine Zusammensetzung aus unbeschreiblich vielen Komponenten: einfach unbeschreiblich und bombenstark! Zur Karte: seitenlange Listen mit hunderten (!) von Spezialbieren, Whisky, Wodka und Bränden, Longdrinks und weiteren Getränken aller Art. Dazu eine Speisekarte mit vielfältigen Gerichten aus der Region. Meine Wahl, die Heringe mit hausgemachter Marinade und Bratkartoffeln, erweist sich als Volltreffer! Der Nachgang, Harzer Roller, nämlich ofenfrische Gänseleberfettbrote, ebenso. Die Bedienung bleibt cool und effizient, trotz höchster Auslastung! Ich hab schon viel gesehen, aber dieses Lokal gehört zu meinen top ten! 6 Sterne!!!!

I like it here, it's not just the beer that's delicious here. It's a bit cramped inside, but it's too cold outside in winter and shady in summer. On weekends it's better to make a reservation, otherwise you sometimes won't get a seat.

Very cool, an epic beer list of five pages, so you're well advised to study it in advance. The menu is more compact, but that doesn't make the decision any easier. Lots of pros and cons. The furnishings with old portraits and signs are nice, I needed extra light to read the map. The music is also well chosen, but so loud that conversations require a little more attention and your head is buzzing afterwards. The bottom line is that it's simply brilliant here, the small deficits don't matter, which means all the more reasons to come back!

Very tasty food, the Rostbrätel with fried potatoes was great! 👌 The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, nice and rustic but a bit very cramped when all the tables are occupied. Service could have been a little better, the stress was noticeable. (The girl, on the other hand, was very friendly and made an effort) unfortunately the music was so loud that even the waiter couldn't understand you. Something can be improved here. Otherwise we were really impressed by the great food, delicious beer and great drinks!

We sat for about 3 hours, ate well and drank well, then unfortunately we had to wait 30 minutes for a drink when I told the waiter, with a nod from the waiter and face contact - he said straight away! A great restaurant in the heart of Erfurt. It's totally clocky inside with lots of old signs and billboards. It says outside that it's a smoking bar, but many of the smokers go outside, which I personally thought was pretty great. There is a huge beer menu, with so many beers that everyone will find something to their liking. But if you don't want to drink beer, you can also get a non-alcoholic drink or wine. What I can also highly recommend is the Rostbrätel with fried potatoes. It is freshly prepared and tastes excellent. Overall, the restaurant is a must for every visitor, but also for every Erfurt resident.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Uriges Ambiente. Platzreservierung ist unbedingt notwendig!

Wer essen möchte, muss sehr viel Zeit (1 ½ h) mitbringen. Fachkräfte Mangel in der Küche. Service war sehr bemüht Ambiente sagt mir persönlich nicht zu. Zu dunkel , aber ist Geschmackssache

Wir wahren nur Weihnachtsfeier dort , Leider hatten wir das Essen knapp 1,5 h nach der Bestellung noch immer nicht bekommen , bei der Getränke Bestellung ging es am Anfang Flott aber das Später der Abend desto länger hat es dann auch gedauert. Ambiente ist Klein und Gemütlich aber nicht für größere Veranstaltungen gedacht.

Immer sehr voll und etwas lange Wartezeiten bis das Essen kommt. Doch das weiß man, wenn man dort zum Essen geht

Eine mega Gaststätte alles für mich perfekt man muss aber Zeit mitbringen weil immer gut besucht und immer reservieren grade in der Hauptzeit von 17-21 Uhr.

Ich bin mit einer Gesellschaft mit 14 Gästen gekommen. Der Chef lässt ausrichten, es sei genug Platz. Obwohl zwei Personen nicht an den Tisch passen, zieht man einen zusätzlichen Tisch weg. Dass zwei Personen dann an den übrigen Tischen keinen Platz für Teller beim Essen finden, interessiert nicht. Lösung wird nicht gefunden. Schlechte Gastfreundschaft.

Tolle Auswahl und sehr guter Service

Ich kann diese Location empfehlen. Gute Thüringer Hausmannskost, sehr schmackhaft wird hier angeboten und von jedem etwas. Salate, Vorspeisen, Suppen, Fisch, Fleisch usw. Nur sehr ausgewählte Sachen wird man vermissen. Die Räume, mehrere, sind verwinkelt gelegen. Typisch, für den Altbau in der Altstadt Nähe Dom. Drinnen ist es urig eingerichtet und die Wände scheinbar endlos mit Bilder und anderen Dingen begangen. Der Highlight für mich aber: Die Getränke. So viel Auswahl an Biere und Schnäpse habe ich in keiner anderen Gastronomie gefunden. Natürlich gibt es auch Weine, Sekt und Schampus, Cocktails Tee, Kaffee, Glühwein und einiges mehr. Dementsprechend voll ist es auch. Darum Plätze buchen und probieren. Ich empfehle allen.....👍 Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.
