Altes Brauhaus zu Fallersleben in Wolfsburg

I have been visiting Germany for years for work. This place has a really traditional feel without being kitsch or forced. I tried only one dish on the menu, among those recommended: they were Rosti with pumpkin and herring.... Really interesting and unusual for me. Excellent beer... What am I saying? I recommend it... I will definitely be back!

The beer they brew themselves is pretty good (coming from someone who doesn't really drink). The food was alright, too oily for my taste. Staff was nice, they messed up our order, but were happy to fix it.

A very famous and traditional local restaurant. The German style pork knuckle was delicious and the baked potatoes were delicious.

Good food and 🍺 new staff do a good job after Corona. Unfortunately there is no longer a knuckle on the menu.

We like being here. With family, friends or simply for a beer. We also celebrated birthdays and anniversaries here. The playground next to it is perfect for the kids. The food is okay, light beer is bombastically good. Matze is great. Thank you. Hopefully it will last a long time.

Went there for dinner with 8 people on July 8, 2024. Food looked very straightforward at first, but that was definitely deceptive. It was more than filling and very well prepared. The presentation is also very successful; after all, the eye eats with it. Our waiter was quick, friendly and always had a cool saying. We were lucky with the weather and sat outside, but I also found the ambience inside very appealing.

The terrace is huge, lots of places under umbrellas. Nice and professional staff who always do their job in a good mood despite the stress. The beer is home-brewed, has a large selection and is extremely tasty. The food has deteriorated a bit, fried potatoes are not crispy, sour meat consists of rock-hard pieces of meat. Also a bit too expensive overall.

The two of us were with a friend on Friday afternoon and had booked a table in advance. Came just for the beer) the menu is quite tight, very traditional, very few snacks to go with the beer, chose a grill plate with three meats, and then fries, the food is hard 3. The bill for two people came around 120€ out of here. The service was good, the waiter was very nice and helpful. In the evening the tables outside were all occupied. Near beautiful nature and a playground. I don't know if we will go back again

A great restaurant with good food and nice service! When the weather is nice, you can sit outside and enjoy the view of the water. There are a small number of parking spaces right in front of the restaurant. Paid until 6 p.m. During the week we got a table without a reservation.

Great atmosphere, brewery flair, I love that. Service was attentive and friendly. The freshly brewed beer is excellent😋👌I was very disappointed with the food. I was really looking forward to the Brauhaus Schnitzel and unfortunately it was a frozen schnitzel again, unfortunately that wasn't the last time. But definitely the last visit from us... Please prepare everything fresh in the future.

Price-performance ratio is no longer right at all. Walnut cup for 2 very small scoops of ice cream and a shot of eggnog and an old waffle for €7.50 A man can't get enough of a grill plate... Sorry, but I had to let it go... It's a real shame, great service, nice atmosphere but that's it

The Altes Brauhaus with its covered beer garden is always worth a visit. There is home-brewed beer and tasty dishes from the menu. The staff is nice, attentive and always there for the guests

If you're looking for a cozy evening in good company, the brewery can score points with its ambience. And if culinary experiences are not necessary, some people will definitely like the in-house beer specialties. The food, on the other hand, is a disappointment overall. Meatloaf and pork neck in diluted ready-made sauce to perfection. Or Emder matjes, housewife-style, with no taste needs to be prepared first. Sitting comfortably: yes. Drink a “different” beer once: why not. Food: no.

The service was friendly and we liked the ambience of the restaurant. However, the prices are really too high compared to the amount of food. We waited about an hour for the food and the lemon on the main course (schnitzel with chanterelles) was already moldy. In summary, we were pretty disappointed.

We were with you last night with our family and it was a really great evening, also because of the good waiter who always had good sayings 😂.The quality of the beer, etc. was very tasty 😋.The food was also really tasty especially the homemade sauerkraut salad. The only thing I would have to complain about was that the portions were relatively expensive given the prices, so I would have expected larger portions overall for the price, but you can ignore that because what was on the plate was really very tasty. We'd love to come back in a big group :)

We had dinner at the Altes Brauhaus for my 22nd birthday and were thrilled. We were a group of 13 people and the food was delicious. There was something for everyone, so everyone was full. Particularly noteworthy is the home-brewed beer, which really tasted excellent. The waiter or host of the house was extremely nice and sociable. With his relaxed sayings he created a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, a very successful evening in a great restaurant. We'd love to come back!

Wanted to eat and drink here. Been here several times And it wasn't particularly good, but it was ok. But as a potential guest, just being completely ignored and waiting for an offer Then we wait at the bar with a beer “but the beer can take a while” Without words We then moved on and put our money to better use elsewhere.

The rooms are very attractive. The staff very friendly and nice. We weren't impressed with the food; the portions were enough for children and not enough for adults. The beer 🍺 just can't be beat, very tasty. I would go there again to drink beer, but I wouldn't eat anything (price-performance ratio doesn't fit)

Oh well! We were very guided by the reviews. The reality is different. The atmosphere reminded us of a barn. Not bad per se. Unfortunately it was very loud. More like a train station. The food ... Portions rather poor... A man wouldn't have been satisfied with my portion. Grill plate...guess a total of 130g of meat. The chicken, unfortunately on both dishes we ordered, wasn't quite cooked through. Brauhaus plate... sauerkraut, dominates. 2 small sausages, 1 meat loaf, 1 slice of roast pork. The highlight was the sauce. All in all, rather disappointing.

Great, I really enjoyed it without exception. If you like good home cooking and rustic furnishings, this is the place for you.

A nice place if you're not too hungry. The ambience is nice. It has this vaulted character and is quite cozy. It's also great that the kitchen can be seen from the dining room. So you can see how the boys work cleanly. What I didn't like was that the employee made a stupid comment at the expense of a guest when he arrived. He himself may have felt funny. However, it is extremely unpleasant for the guest and something like that is not part of the service. The table service was a bit slow. We had to wait for some time until the food was taken in and then another very long time until the food was served. To eat: When we looked at the menu, our mouths were already watering. Nice and hearty and sounds very tasty. The grill plate sounds like something for really hungry men... It was delicious too. But hungry men won't be fed here. The portions are manageable. Unfortunately, myself and a few others weren't full after eating. Even my petite wife, who doesn't eat much, only felt full after eating her son's leftovers. At this high price, something like that shouldn't happen. This should be optimized again. Otherwise the brewery is a very nice location.

Four of us with two children came to lunch without a reservation. We were still given a warm welcome and had a place for us. The food came quickly and was very tasty. The price-performance ratio is very good. The atmosphere is very nice, we really liked the brewery atmosphere, the children had something to look at in every corner.

We ate here on weekdays with a registered group of around 20 people. The two service staff were obviously overwhelmed and unfriendly when taking the order and distributing the food and drinks. 2 of 3 rump steaks were raw in the middle and when we asked to put them on the grill again there was a discussion. The quality of the food was consistently disappointing: meat tough, asparagus woody...

Nice atmosphere but mediocre food. Service was friendly. But I don't need food again.

Second time here, both for company organised evenings. Very loud, enthusiastic band playing traditional German music throughout the night. Food is ok, not quite what I'm used to but got to try new things. Drinks? Flow easy and well into the night!

Quaint atmosphere. Good food at fair prices with a sufficient selection (hearty meat dishes, fish, salads, vegan). Friendly service. Varied beer selection but also wine, soft drinks, coffee, spirits, etc. We'd love to come back.

I believe this will be very good restaurant. We didn’t make it to get in because we didn’t make a reservation. Even there are still seats, restaurant said food preparation isn’t enough. So try again next time. I cannot give any positive or negative feedback because I didn’t try any.

The first time in the restaurant and I felt very comfortable. Service very friendly. Despite the house being full, we got a table for two without a reservation. The food was very tasty and plentiful. Good home cooking also takes a little time. In the picture you can see matjes with potatoes & Braumeister schnitzel with fried potatoes. MEGA Thank you for the lovely evening.

The food was delicious but really expensive!!! Thanks to the current government 😒 Menu could be more extensive.

Hearty food that was served quickly after ordering, the sauce for the Alpine schnitzel wasn't quite to my taste, but the schnitzel itself was tasty and I thought it was very good that there were plenty of potato side dishes with it. The beer is really great and is available in many different variations, I personally found the elderberry apple beer particularly tasty 🍻, I would love to come back to try out the other schnitzel creations.

Sehr schönes, altes Gebäude mit historischer Geschichte. Tolle Lokation für ein Brauhaus. Brauhaus-Essen ist ja immer etwas rustikaler. Hier passt einfach alles gut zusammen. Gutes Essen, nette und umsichtige Bedienung, angemessene Preise. Wenn wir noch mal in der Nähe wären, wäre dies definitiv unsere erste Anlaufstelle. Plätze sind genug vorhanden.

Wir waren mit unseren Kindern da zum essen. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung war sehr nett......es waren noch einige Feiern im Lokal und es ist schlecht Personal zu bekommen. Somit mussten auch wir eine ETWAS längere Zeit akzeptieren (zum bestellen). Wir kommen aber trotzdem wieder 😀

Das Personal war freundlich, schnell und sehr professionell, das Ambiente ist urig und rustikal.leider kam das Cordon bleu außen heiß und innen kalt auf den Teller... Schade

Das Essen schmeckt ganz gut. Die Portionen sind jedoch ziemlich klein. Das Bier ist Klasse.

Wir sind hier her gefahren um 2 Flaschen vom selbstgebrauten Bier zu kaufen und haben uns dann ganz spontan dazu entschieden dort noch was zu essen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich gewesen und das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Das Essen kam recht schnell und war auch sehr lecker gewesen. Als Vorspeise hatten wir beide die Kürbiscremesuppe mit gerösteten Kürbiskernen und als Hauptgang einmal das Rinderfilet 'Madagaskar' und einmal das 3 Kürbis-Kartoffelrösti mit Garnele, Garved Lachs und Matjesfilet.

Wir hatten eine kleine Firmenfeier im Keller, alles super ausser das es etwas Laut war. Hier könnte man mal etwas zur Akustik unternehmen.(Pflanzen, Geräuschdämpfer, etc) ansonsten sehr Lecker und Schick.

Wie ein Brauhaus sein sollte, mit schöner alter rustikalen Atmosphäre, tollem Essen.

Wir waren mit mehreren dort zum Essen. Leider war es nicht möglich das ale ihr Essen gleich zeitig bekamen, da ein Essen vergessen wurde.

Rustikales Ambiente so wie es zu so einem Gebäude gehört. Essensauswahl ist ausreichend und die Qualität ist spitze.

Essen größtenteils sehr lecker. Der Service war an diesem Tag super. Nett und schnell. Ambiente im Essensraum ist sehr schôn nur die Toiletten waren nicht so so toll. Insgesamt aber gut und ich komme gerne wieder.

Hier finde ich es immer toll: Eigene gebraute Biere, leckere - auch vegetarische - Gerichte, nettes Personal, Biergarten, Spielplatz nebenan. Alles toll zum entspannten Kommunizieren. Da fahre ich gern auch mit Fahrrad nach Fallersleben und zahle ein wenig mehr.

Sehr empfehlenswert. Nicht nur der Fleisch und Fischliebhaber ißt hier preiswert und lecker auch der Vegetarier kommt hier zu einem leckeren Essen. Sellerie- Schnitzel mit Avocadocreme und ein bisschen Soße mit grünen Pfeffer für mich ein Traum. Dazu ein Helles ,freundliche Bedienung 😄 Mehr geht nicht. Immer wieder gerne.

Gutes Schlossbräu und deftiges Essen, was will man mehr!?

Tisch war vorbestellt. Leider waren zwei Gerichte nicht mehr vorhanden. Nachdem wir bestellt hatten, haben wir über eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet. Das Essen war leider nicht heiß. Die Karte war leider nicht ausreichend beschrieben. Das Fleisch wurde auf einer Soße serviert die absolut nicht schmeckte. Leider schmeckte das Fleisch nur nach dieser Soße. Fazit Ich muss kein zweites Mal dort hin.

We went there for a customer dinner. I did have a backed potato for dinner and a beer. I must honestly I did expect mire. The food was rather disappointing. It felt like someone through a few items on a plate with no love or any sense. The sauce was tasteless, and there was no salt or pepper on the table. The beer, which is brewed by them, was also more in the middle of the taste range... rather tasteless Overall, I would not necessarily go there again.

An absolute dream of a place. An amazing looking building and truly amazing beers. Everything we go to wolfsburg we always make a point of stopping in here for a meal and a few beers. You can even buy beers to takeaway. Lovely place.

Essen an sich gut, aber leider vollkommen überwürzt.

Waren letztes Jahr beim Weihnachtsbuffet dort. Es gibt reichlich Auswahl, allerdings würde ich fast sagen zu viel, denn es fehlt offensichtlich an Ressourcen die angebotenen Speisen auch tatsächlich gut zu machen. Am schlimmsten war der Hirschbraten, komplett zäh, kaum genießbar. Generell waren die meisten Speisen "okay". Kaiserschmarrn viel zu trocken und nur mit viel Vanillesoße ganz lecker. Leider die 50 € nicht wert, die dafür genommen werden. Lieber weniger Auswahl aber dafür besser zubereitete Speisen. Enttäuscht.

Typisches Kneipenessen. Kein frischer Salat, mit Essig angemacht, das Schweineschnitzel war in Ordnung. Die Pommes durchschnittlich. Für die Apfelschorle groß wurden 7,40 abgerechnet ?!

Wir kamen auf Empfehlung hier her. Das Essen war ok, aber nichts besonderes. Der Service war freundlich.

Wäre vielleicht von Vorteil wenn man vorher reserviert 👍 Wir waren an einem Freitagabend gegen 18.00 Uhr da und bekamen auch gleich einen Tisch. Die Servicekräfte sind sehr zuvorkommend und äußerst freundlich. Ausstattung im typ. Brauhausstyle - urgemütlich ! Wir bekamen unsere Braumeisterschnitzel nach ca. 15 Minuten. Das Essen war heiss, frisch zubereitet, reichlich und sehr schmackhaft. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hierher zum Essen kommen. Mit 2 halbliter Cola Light's haben wir 42,80 bezahlt - das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis passt hier absolut !

Das Essen war Super, Preisgünstig und reichlich. Das Personal sehr aufmerksam und schnell mit der Bewirtung. Wir würden zu jeder Zeit wiederkommen. Waren im Brauhaus mit weiteren 50 Personen.

Erstklassigen frischen Spargel gegessen, bei der Dessertbestellung allerdings dreimal gefragt ob ich tatsächlich Eierlikör dazu will. Aber akzeptiert und dann mit begeisterten Augen mitgegessen. Ein Gourmetabend der in dieser Restaurantklasse als außergewöhnlich bezeichnet werden muss und, zwei ganz freundliche und liebe Servicekräfte. Beim bestellen einen Tisch im Servicebereich Jasmin bestellen und den letzten Trink an der Bar bei Udo nehmen, das macht den Abend unvergesslich. Weit von der Heimat entfernt aber immer wieder gerne.

Gutes Restaurant gibt immer Kleinigkeiten die man verbessern kann aber sonst leckeres Essen und eine nette Bedingung der platzt war nicht so toll aber alles im ganzen gut deswegen 4 Sterne .

Went here for a Sunday dinner. It is a small brewery with a restaurant in a park and it is quite lovely even in winter. It has a rustical look inside that suits it perfectly. We tried their own beer which is quite good and there are a couple of types. I preferred the Anno 1765. For food there is the usual German style food so I had a type of schnitzel with an egg on top plus a salad and potatoes. The food arrived quickly and it was very good, prepared perfectly. Service was very good. Definitely a place worth visiting if You are in Fallersleben.

Schönes rustikales Restaurant mit Bier aus eigener Herstellung. Super Bier. Gute Speisekarte und eine sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Da werden wir wieder hinfahren.

We spontaneously arrived here after a visit to Wolfsburg Autostadt. Although we came at around 4pm, all tables were reserved for later in the night. The grill platters are good, staff hospitable, prices low, and older brewery atmosphere authentic The own hefeweizen and bürgermeister beers are worth a try.
