Hello I spontaneously decided to eat here again and ordered the same thing from the chef who happened to be there the other day. Colorful salad with roasted turkey and balsamic vinegar. It was now 3x better, as the seasonal salad and spice selection is also more generous. Wow. Only recommended.

Very good food nearby with a small terrace overlooking the nice old buildings in town and a parking lot right on the waterfront of the river. You can see all the way to the other river bank. Watching passing boats, kayaks, ships, etc. can be a fun activity for kids.

4 pieces of asparagus, bags of hollandaise €22.50 😯 unpeeled potatoes with asparagus are not possible. Asparagus were badly peeled but the waiter sorted things out for me with a free beer. I was actually expecting the chef to sort this out 😯Nice restaurant with good wines but this price-performance ratio should be reconsidered. My wife's asparagus salad was also overpriced for the quantity. My friend's Swiss sausage salad was a classic sausage salad with a few strips of cheese on top. Still testing it in a few weeks.

Even though we arrived without a reservation, we still got a seat at the counter among an illustrious group. We were warmly welcomed by the people present there. By the way, dogs are allowed, which was definitely important for our little schnauzer and us! The food was exactly what we wanted and imagined, and the service was very friendly. The food came out of the kitchen quite quickly after ordering. All the dishes that came out of the kitchen looked plentiful and tasty and were, without exception, beautifully presented. In the end, the math worked out. Sure, everything has become more expensive now, but for the portions and how we liked it, the price was without exception reasonable! Card payment is also possible. We would certainly like to come back again.

We were guests in a group of 4 for the first and definitely last time. The portions were far too small. None of us were even remotely full after our meal. The absolute biggest impudence is to sell two supermarket Maultaschen with a handful of salad for €15!!! I would like to emphasize that I am also a self-employed restaurateur. When we talked to the guests at the next table, they told us that the portions had become smaller and smaller in recent years, but the prices were higher. Of course, I also had to adjust the prices in my restaurant to the economic situation. But putting less food on your plate at the same time clearly shows greed for money and no respect for the customer. This led to a conversation with the boss, which was somewhat biased. These prejudices were not only confirmed but exceeded. Apart from his extremely unfriendly manner, he stammered contradictory attempts at explanations. The statement that had the most lack of style was “so many things here have to be made fresh every day”. Dear reader, NOTHING happens in this restaurant!!! freshly prepared. Because of my job, I know the range of all ready-made gastro products, their appearance and their taste. This restaurateur is one of the reasons why our industry is in crisis and here the guest is clearly being ripped off and lied to. Anyone who has respect for good food cannot and should not support a restaurant like this! Thanks to the surroundings of the old town, the atmosphere was quite nice.

Today we returned to the Old Barn after about four years and were extremely positively surprised. The food is now in a completely different league, we suspect a change of tenant or a new chef? Very tasty Greek schnitzel, no pressed meat, great special sheep's cheese filling and overall very attractively presented. The same applies to the excellent Tafelspitz. There were four of us and we all got our food hot at the same time. Of course, it tastes particularly good in the rustic, nostalgic atmosphere that you can enjoy in the Old Barn. Prices are not cheap, but appropriate for the quality and generous portion size. We'd love to come back!

Ein klassisches, deutsches Restaurant mit nettem Personal. Das Restaurant ist recht klein, man kann allerdings sehr gut draußen sitzen. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt und wurde schnell geliefert. Insgesamt ein netter Abend, gerne wieder! Autoparkplätze sind um die Ecke vorhanden.

Wir waren am Donnerstag Nachmittag gegen 17 Uhr vor Ort. Zunächst hatten wir es mit einem schlecht gelaunten Kellner zu tun. Die bestellten Biere schmeckten leider abgestanden. Die Speisekarte ist sehr abwechslungsreich. Nur leider war sowohl der Salat als Vorspeise als auch die beiden bestellten Hauptgerichte nicht sonderlich schmackhaft. (Schnitzel mit Pommes , Schweinemagen) Trotz des schönen Ambiente und einer guten Speiseauswahl leider nicht zufrieden
